Sweet Decadence

Smells like eating an almond danish at a quaint little table covered in a chintz floral tablecloth, with a single rose in a vase. It’s sweet—no doubt about it! There’s some nuance to the sweetness, but I can’t get past the pastry vibe, and I’m just not a gourmand girlie. On the initial spray, I get a soft, sweet citrusy note—like an orange icing drizzle. There’s a nuttiness that reminds me of almonds or pistachios, and a strong sugary warmth throughout. There might be faint hints of rose and lavender, but they’re barely there—just enough to keep the scent from giving you a toothache. Even though this type of scent isn’t my personal preference (on myself, others, or even as an environmental scent), it's: Well-balanced for a sweet pastry-style gourmand Long-lasting, especially for a natural fragrance Has decent sillage and projection And is very fairly priced for the quality

Even testing this brand blind, I knew this one straightaway. Very sweet and balsamic, and softly rounded. Nutty and almond. Total pastries. Not my jive, but those who love the current vanilla gourmand dessert trend will be all over this.
