I never write reviews after one wear, but I feel confident writing that this is one of the xerjoff offerings that justifies its price. It's a semisweet vanilla backed by a powdery cacao note and beautiful white floral nuances from the magnolia. The vanilla note changes throughout the wear, which keeps the fragrance interesting and avoids the dilemna of it ever being labeled as "simple." It blends very well with the cacao note, to the point where an inexperienced nose would find them to be inseparable. The vanilla/cacao mix is sweet enough to be considered gourmand but stops short of ever becoming cloying. Leans ever so slightly feminine but definitely fits in the unisex category. 3 sprays (2 on the neck and 1 on the chest) filled a room for 3+ hours and overall the fragrance lasted well past the double digit hour mark. To be perfectly honest, I bought this at a reduced price from a reseller and planned to sell it quickly for a profit but I don't think I'm capable of removing this gem from my collection. Will update my review with my usual numerical system rating after more time with the fragrance, but for those of you staring at the Xerjoff Universe page wondering if you should complete the order and trying to justify it with Fragrantica reviews, go for it. You won't be disappointed. EDIT: Anyone voting that this fragrance has no longevity is either nose blind to it or has a personal problem with xerjoff. Excellent longevity on both me and my wife, and days on clothes.

What a little treasure this scent is! Delicious gourmand with a hint of white flower. I wouldn’t wear it every day but on a weekend when want to slow down and just enjoy life. Update: wore it to a stressful appointment and it worked like a charm with its calming, mellow, warm effect! EDIT: Ok. Had to come back to add more thoughts on this one. I’m loving it more and more. I wear it everyday and it’s autumn/winter (making it safely for me, an all year rounder frag). Wear it to work, going out, at home, it’s just such a pleasant scent I can’t stop using it. And when I say pleasant I mean for Xerjoff’s complex and unique DNA. It’s not just simply vanilla, it’s white flowers, broken with slightly bitter cacao maybe a bit of oris buttery vibe, I like others also notice coconut but what makes Allende coconutty is that vanilla/cacao/magnolia mixture imo. Really decent siliage and long lasting power, yet still it’s cosy and I dare say a skin scent - as in makes your skin smell heavenly. I’m in awe.

Extremely unusual vanilla scent. It’s bitter at first and really similar to the fragrance of flowering tulips you know I mean their black stamens covered with pollen. They have such fresh dense and bitter aroma. No doubt Allende is gourmand perfume but really unique because of that strange dark flower smell. As for me Allende is attractive and memorable scent. I absolutely love its very special milk vanilla with bitter flowers. Allende is a bit similar to Rococo by The Merchant of Venice because of their common cacao notes.

Gosh, this is stunning! Very addictive! The notes are correct in the description. Don't listen to silly remarks here, you have to test it yourself! I promise you won't regret it. It might smell strange only if you smell it directly off your skin right after spraying when your nose is touching your skin. Don't do this. Try to spray it on your arm, wait a minute, resist the temptation and then smell it like others will be smelling it on you. I know it's hard but try to train your nose, it's worth it!

Don’t believe the bad reviews. This is a simple vanilla gourmand. It remainds me a vanilla pudim 🍮. It has some evolution that is not dificult and the dry down is sweet pleasent true vanilla. Not like kyali or vanittas but warmer like a coocked vanilla pudim. If you want a Xerjoff gourmand all year around this is for you. It is not complex as cruz del sur 2 but it is a warm gourmand vanilla.

It is the juice that Black Opium le Parfum wants to be. Allende is pure and light, vanilla dream. Very unisex, simple but elegant, nice for every day, any occasion, but it creates a relaxing atmosphere, so if you need to focus on some serious business, it pulls a little hippie.

this is one of the 2 most classy vanillas I have ever smelled. And as a vanilla fan I have smelled A LOT. My other pick is GFG by MFK. This is sweet, not cloying, sophisticated. You can wear this to every occasion. To the office or to your own wedding.

This is what I wanted symphonia and via cavour to be a simple pleasent gourmand.

June7rose down below is absolutely correct about Allende somehow smelling like almonds! I found the opening quite awful... There was a certain screechy playdoh-ish note and, well... That's kind of a no-no for me. After tempering for about 30 mins on skin it becomes more palatable; more vanillic, some dry cocoa and, of course, that blasted note of almonds. The dry down is where the vanilla really starts to shine and the almonds finally (nearly) DIE. This is the part I like the most. Longevity is truly stellar on me and some serious sillage can be built up with a couple of sprays. Allende is the kind of perfume that lives on forever on scarves and jackets. If you like playdough vanilla and almonds, without too much sweetness, this may just be the ultimate perfume for you.

Liking vanilla, I thought this was going to be a safe blind buy, but it is not was not like that... The opening has a pungent element that tickles my throat; I smell "cold vanilla" and herbs. As it dries, the spiciness calms down, but the herbs are still there, and the vanilla takes on almost a waxy quality...it reminds me of Afternoon Delight by Maison Margiela, which I don't like. My heart sinks...I love my Xerjoffs so far, but this...I think to myself..."oh no..." But then, after 45 minutes, the herbs are gone, and so is the wax. I start to smell like 99 cone with a flake: cold whipped vanilla and cocoa. A smile appears on my face. As it dries down further, it warms up and becomes quite delicious. "Phew" 😊🍦🍫🤍

Allende opens on my skin as very gourmand, overly sweet for my taste and with heavy coconut notes. It reminds me a lot of La Danza di Libellule in the opening. Fortunately for me, the coconut note dies down and I'm left with a lovely drydown of vanilla, creamy white florals, cocoa and caramel with some amber resins. It's pretty, but I think Xerjoff's Lira is a much more complex and interesting fragrance than Allende. I'm using my samples happily but I do not find Allende FB worthy.

Steamed vanilla milk with savory fatty taste and chocolate powder with fine particles. Before I met this perfume, I thought it would be similar to Chabaud's 'Lait et Chocolat', but it's completely different. 'Lait et Chocolat' has a strong lactic feeling. And it felt a little repulsed to me. But the scent of 'Allende' is a little drier than that, and it doesn't feel too Gourmand. I came across a lot of chocolate and milk-scented perfumes, but I decided to settle down here.

The opening of xerjoff allende is magic. You get taken back to your childhood, smelling plastic beach balls on the seaside, while your mom is rubbing your back with sunscreen. Its probably the most emotion-evoking fragrance opening ever for me. I want to smell it every day. However the drydown really lets me down. In the drydown, the wonderful nostalgic scent completely dissapears, and your left with this cheap feminine sickely sweet vanilla. Its such a shame

Well, knock me sideways this is strong. I'm so glad I didn't blind buy. Strong smell of cocoa, jasmine and definitely coconut. If a bounty bar was turned into A scent then this would be it. It's not awful but it smells a bit artificial. Is magnolia part of an accord that makes coconut?? There is something a bit cheap about the sweetness. A shame as I think there was great promise with these notes. Big sillage and longevity.

Nice. Weird scent on initial spray - becomes very sweet, thick, vanillin which evolves to a very sweet fluffy vanillin, ta da. Not a bakery type vanilla & not a safe blind buy. Can be cloy or is cloy. If you like TF Vanilla Sex or Replica Afternoon Delight - chances are, you will like this fragrance. I can see how this fragrance would be a compliment magnet but the person wearing it may have headache. Rated: Vanilla

has pretty good projection. you don't have to do any more than 2 or 3 sprays. it's a very lovely scent. reminds me of cocoa butter for some reason even though it's notes are magnolia, cacao and vanilla. perfect fragrance for winter and fall. might be a tad too intense for summer

I came in expecting absolutely nothing and I’m so glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised! I really really like this and if not for the high price tag, it would’ve been a love! Good creation! EDIT: Now I own a bottle and I love it! Underrated beauty!

This is such a unique and comforting scent! The vanilla is definitely the star, but it's balanced beautifully with the floral notes and a hint of spice. It's sweet, but not overpowering, and lasts for ages on my skin. Perfect for cooler weather.

Smells like bandaid in the opening, but dries down to a pleasant peach roohibos tea sweetened with lots of vanillic condensed milk.

This is such a beautiful creamy, buttery vanilla chocolate. I wear this from time to time, especially in spring in evening.

I am a vanilla lover to the core and blind bought this thinking of course I’ll like it... well it isn’t just vanilla that is for sure. The floral part is what my skin highlights... it comes off more tropical on my skin. And the floral turns sharp on my skin :( I really don’t like the opening but after 30 minutes it gets better. So sad. I have too many perfumes to have to suffer through to get some enjoyment. So be cautious and test before you blind buy!!!

I was a bit confused when I first sprayed this. This is a blind buy, I bought it purely because of the notes listed, madagascar vanilla is everywhere, top middle base, so you can imagine my confusion when I detected medicinal almond smell upon the first spray. It's not bad, it's just that I wasn't expecting it to smell like this hahaha Of course I read the reviews before and yet I still purchased it. Hmmmm....

I was so thrilled to try it as the owner of a niche perfumery said this was her favorite from Xerjoff line. I find it ”meh”. To the point that it is a waxy, baby powder to me. Like changing diapers on a waxy changing table somewhere at IKEA toilet. I am not considering this as very promising perfume association. Nevertheless, try it and trust your own nose only! :)

I came across Allende on Xerjoff’s website and bought a sample because I was excited about the triple vanilla. But I gotta admit that this smells exactly like sunscreen, just like many other people have pointed out before. Imagine layering this with ACTUAL sunscreen HA 😝 If you love a clean girl beach aesthetic maybe this is the perfume for you???

... I see why this is so controversial. I feel like I'm supposed to like this, but I'm "meh." I love vanilla and chocolate and like magnolia. But, I do get a bit of that strong chemical vibe (maybe not quite Windex) that others get. I just don't love it enough.

Bought just a sample from Gents. To raw for me. Very intense.

Like an organic bar of Shea/ cocoa butter soap (or maybe lotion). Cacao is in the background and overpowered by a buttery (?) floral scent. There is a waxy/ candle type vibe going on, with maybe a hint of lemon that keeps appearing for a couple of hours. It is like a lemon and vanilla desert (tart) and the waxy/ powdery smell is like the pastry which has overtaken the filling ingredients. I love pastry by the way, but I am thinking of a pastry that either hasn't been cooked properly or had too much of something in it. I am thinking that the Magnolia over powers for me and so I don't get the Vanilla cacao smell that I had hoped for. It is such a shame and I am a massive Vanilla and cacao fan. The bottle is beautiful and well presented. The juice doesn't project too much but it does last hours (8+). I don't appreciate the waxy/soapy smell and so I am letting go of my bottle, which I blind bought. Not a safe blind buy IMO (as it is not cheap) but others may disagree.

This is a stunner fragrance if you like vanilla dominate scent. What I love about this is that the vanilla is in all three phases of the fragrance. Top, middle & base with a splash of cacao & magnolia. It’s a keeper in my book so if you love the smell of vanilla then this fragrance is definitely for you. Keep in mind that this is a gourmand fragrance. It last on me at least 10 hours.

Wow so many vanilla notes, I love vanilla so I was very curious about this one! Hmm I haven't smelled anything like this before and not sure what to make it of it. I can only conclude that it is the magnolia making this pull very floral and odd, creamy but sharp (similar profile to hair dye mixtures). I wouldn't consider this gourmand or even florarmand.

Play-Doh, Plastic Vanilla. Always some sort of floweriness within. Not complex, not smelling of high quality. Leaning feminine. Only positive its long lasting and strong. Really reminds me of jtc shunkoin which is to me even worse than Allende (plastic vanilla + bitter baking soda powderiness to the max)

Smells like sharp chemical sweet almonds, maybe some spices. It’s mixed with some milky and cacao nuances ... not what I was expecting. Lucky I just bought a sample. 🤞🏻 I don’t recomend buying niche perfumes without trying them before. But this one is definitely not a safe blind buy.

This is not what I expected out of a triple vanilla + cocoa scent. It’s like baby powder, shea butter lotion, yellow tropical floral and vanilla urinal cake. It’s not bad but not what I wanted out of something so vanilla heavy in the notes. Not a fan

The opening smells like cake batter! But the drydown is horrible, stale/spoilt cocoa butter. Update: This really reminds me of Laura Mercier's Almond Coconut body cream. Did not care for that scent profile...

This seems like it should be good. Cocoa and vanilla? Sign me up. On me it smells like straight up baby powder which I hate. No for me.

Almond, then body lotion. But an excellent body lotion at that, not the ones that smell on a verge of going rancid.

Very sweet, synthetic smelling with sunscreen vibes. It's a pass for me.

Seriously the worst perfume I’ve ever smelled in my life... I don’t even know how it’s possible to make a perfume that bad tbh. Although perfumes are subjectives, and very unfortunately, the bad reviews match more the scent profile of that perfume in my opinion (wax, playdoh, can smell like coconut lotion while having no coconut in the notes). So, please do not blind buy this, buy a sample first like I did, because it’s way too tricky and uncertain.

This is probably the worst perfume I have smelled from Xerjoff. It smells like a vanilla scented body lotion with a hint of cocoa and a waxy feel from the Magnolia. I will give it credit though for lasting power (about 8hrs). Overall in my opinion, it's not worth the pricetag.

Smells like a concoction of shea butter, sunblock, and bug spray. One of the most odd and displeasing fragrances I've ever smelled.

This perfume surprised me for the better, because my expectation was to find something really difficult to appreciate, although I would not under any circumstances pay what it costs. I explain. It has a smell that I don't find unpleasant but, for its price, I would expect something much more sophisticated. Allende smells, to my nose, like coconut cake with vanilla, although this vanilla is very plasticky and synthetic. It is an scent that mixes a creamy coconut seasoned with brown sugar and a lot, a lot, of that synthetic vanilla, with a citrus counterpoint in the background that does not, however, manage to lighten the composition. The cocoa aspect can be perceived in the middle phase but only as a very subtle touch of cocoa powder. As a whole, it can be reminiscent of the scent of some sunscreens, which makes it difficult to find a season of use since, at the same time, in summer I think it can be quite cloying. It has a very good performance, with a moderate-notable sillage and a duration of more than 12 hours on my skin, but it does not seem to correspond to a perfume of its category and price in terms of olfactory quality. In my case I would wear it for informal occasions or at home and this is not the destination I expect for my Xerjoff perfumes so I would not buy a full bottle. This brought an instant familiarity and it took me a while to place what it really reminds me of - has a touch of vintage vibes and very "chewy" quality to it. Then I remembered - Anima Dulcis by Arquiste. Definitely a scent to sink your teeth into if you like gourmands, not distinctively chocolatey (to my nose) but sweet and gourmand without being overly sugary. I think it's that magnolia note that gives it a slight "mom's powder room" vibe. I also get that slight waxy quality some have described, I feel like powdery notes should be in here and maybe orris as these two notes tend to produce this feel. Overall not one for the masses, but fans of the boudoir / make up bag feel may enjoy this. *Does not last. At this price point, that's a big shame.

This is a close cousin to Sorriso. But it happens to be the less handsome, less smart and more arrogant cousin. It has a loud vanilla note mixed with cocoa butter scent. It screams for the first hour, and feels very synthetic and annoying. Surprisingly, if you spray it on air it is very pleasant. The late drydown is a more calm, buttery coconut vanilla scent. This is not completely horrible, the drydown is very pleasant, the magnolia note is more airy and feels elegant in the very late stages, I think this is a very nice scent after a 1-2 hours. It has a rocky evolution. The room were I sprayed on the air now smells very nice. Will have to give it some time.

If I believed all the negative comments on just about every single Perfume that I have in my collection. I wouldn’t have a collection . I always buy blindly. I never judge a Fragrance as soon as I receive it because the Fragrance I receive does a 360 months later to turn into the beautiful art that it was meant to be. This Fragrance is very linear. Let it set for six months and you will see that fragrances are all subjective. They all work differently on different types of skin. What some may perceive as a vomit another may find it as a blessing. this is a blessing and keep in mind. I had to let it mature for six months.

Smells like heaven. The combination somehow smells like almonds, or cocoa butter. Extremely feminine. Decent sized samples are $7 on Luckyscent. This is what Lea St. Barth used to smell like before it got drained of scent-- people used to say it was like spraying on cherubs. This has that musky sweet almond soap/coca butter/waffle cone smell. I don't track the magnolia as magnolia, just as something in the scent that isn't edible and gives it a soapy, powdery, fresher quality than vanilla and chocolate would have on their own. Against my financial better judgement, bought a FB, hope I love it as well as the sample

I've got a sample, I wanted one so badly becouse the notes here are so luring. But I can relate with the comments. About the windex and the soapy vibe. At first I thought it's some kind of a "raw" vanilla without sweetnes. When your vanilla oil went out of date and what stays is the faint vanilla. But my second try was a little bit different. The opening to me is more of a flower scent and then some vanilla. I can't detect cacao. But I can feel someting pleasent in the middle, something creamy... but I just don't like it enough. And the last dry down just powder flower (faint vanilla) to me.

My first reaction was fruity play-doh. it was weird i got no vanilla whatsoever. And when I had my daughter sniff it she got honey soap. It is a memory of being 8 years old unloading all the shovels, pales, beach towels, sunscreen at the beach...and the best moment - pulling the multi-colored deflated beachball from the beach bag, taking it to your lips to blow up where it is close to your nose and breathing in the heady plastic smell. I can say for certain that is scent is absolutely not for me.

I completely agree with June7rose - for me is cocoa butter/waffle cone smell. We had extremely popular ice cream in my country when I was a child. "Plombir" was the name. To me after 2 hours Allende smells exactly like melted "plombir". I love it. It lasts for a long time. I do not have to wait for warm/cold/rainy weather to experience delightful fumes of this smell. It works all the time, every season. Comfort smell for me. No regrets of buying FB.
