Aridal

I got it yesterday, currently testing, but I think it is safe to say that Aridal will be a success for a house - strong and sophisticated enough for both women and men. Spicy yet soft, fruity sweet yet refined, balanced dry balsamic woody scent that is still hard to describe and I keep finding my nose close to the wrist at all times. I owned MV Agusta, which is a true piece of art itself, but did not like it on myself. This, I would say, is the same category of a masterpiece which I can finally enjoy

I own most of Xerjoff, and I can say this is one of my favourites of the house. The opening is very similar to Amouage Interlude, just softer and more powerdy, more woody and then it change to more woody, and ending with a little of creamy. Aridal is easier to wear compare to Interlude.

Impressions from the initial use: I purchased it from the official website which cost me a fortune..., Seems like I wouldn't be chasing it so much if it was available in stores, The aroma is woody, dry and very warm, a little acidity of sweat, And the dark colored bottle is very different from the picture. May bring you closer to the next headache...!

Disagree with previous review - do not see any reason why this release would be a success as it achieves absolutely nothing in the Xerjoff lineup. I'm reviewing strictly on an in-doors test. We have a woody iris fragrance that opens more aromatic, dries more powdery. I get some nutty facets, and the orris is very noticeable when smelled from up-close. Mostly dry woody, powdery, "soft animalic" (the same vibe orris gives in Reflection Man). Not getting any relevant spices, this has no fruity accord at all (even mentioning it, considering the scent pyramid, is pretty funny). If I had to guess, the elemi/nutmeg would pop more on an outdoor test. Masculine, spring-fall. It's a 7/10, performance is just as average as the scent (sillage/longevity 7s).

Posted an initial review for this in April and got downvoted to bits for stating an honest opinion that this scent is a boring woody iris fragrance with some orris tones. I specifically disagreed with the first review because of the claim "Aridal will be a success for [the] house". We are now ~6 months since release and Aridal has 19 ratings on Fragrantica. We can call it how it is - this is a basic scent that is on-par with designer product. This was never going to be a success, no matter how much some people want to white-wash this scent. And I say that as somebody who loves Xerjoff.

It smells like grated carrot mixed with sauna oil. Can imagine someone liking this, but not me lmao

From hate to full bottle: I was really intrigued by the notes, so I included Aridal in my sample kit from the Xerjoff site. Out of 24 samples, Aridal came last. Unfortunately, I detect a smell that reminds me A BIT of dirty cat litter, like some sort of amonia type kinda... Definitely a hard pass for me. I expected something petrolly, gasoline like, but that's not it. Edit: the perfume seems to be clearer on skin, I can still detect that weird note but it is much more convenient, more tame. I also detect an incensy smell, a bit amouage like. Overall, much much better on skin. Much more balanced. There is some amber shining through from the base. Damn... It's not bad at all on skin... 2nd Edit: Ok now I actually really like it on skin. An hour ago I swear it gave me a Farenheit feeling... Goes to show, you never know... Sometimes you gotta do the work. 3rd Edit: I just bought a 50ml... I don't know what my deal is with this one but it hits a special button in my head. The End

This perfume reminds me of the person I fell in love with. The scent of the fragrance is very similar to what she used. It's as if I imagined myself in the Sahara desert in the scorching sun, stepping on the hot sand. This scent is completely magical! A heavenly incense. I feel enveloped by this aura of mystery. I was in love from the first moment I felt it! I want to have this fragrance in my collection.

Name of a meteorite, precisely Aridal, found in the desert. A fragrance that opens spicy, but then takes on cold, clean tones. Iris takes a back seat, giving space mainly to a very balanced mix of patchouli and jasmine. I find this collection really pleasant and elegant, discreet and classy, I really like it.
