Ascot Moon

An interesting addition to my collection, but I only wish it projected better. Single spray to back of hand, and another on inside of elbow. It starts off with quite low projection, but this gets stronger within the first ten minutes. There is a metallic, almost industrial note from the back of my hand, while there's some strong herbaceous basil and sage from the inside of my elbow. No idea why I get different results from sprays on the same arm, but think this may have something to do with the warmth of the areas sprayed. After 20 minutes the spices in the form of salt and pepper brings some light warmth to both areas. The back of my hand now has some oakmoss blended perfectly with smooth green notes, whereas inside my elbow the herbaceous nature continues with very light patchouli and some dried grass - I almost feel that I should be rolling some potatoes in this before roasting them. An hour in and it seems some vetiver has begun in both areas. This isn't an overtly fresh vetiver as the spices are still present, which retains a savoury element. Projection at this stage is 12 inches at most. Creeping up to the two hour mark and the back of my hand has lost some of the spiciness, making things much fresher. It is at this point that I understand why some report a "boot polish" accord. This is exceedingly pleasant to my nose, and I am unsure if I am getting some nose fatigue, as the projection is now just over six inches. On the inside of my elbow it is pretty much a continuation of the first hour, with the herbs and spices becoming a tad smoother, with the saltiness pushing back the pepper. There's no boot polish, but the patchouli has come more to the forefront. Two and a half hours in and both areas seem to be equalling off with a green sweetness. The spices have melded in a muskiness, and this in turn is vying for attention alongside the oakmoss. The fragrance continues in this manner for another hour, before drifting into the drydown. The projection seems slightly more than a skin scent until the six hour mark, when it becomes quite close. It is still noticeable, but now mostly musk with slight green notes. It remains this way until the nine hour mark where I can barely smell anything - though my nose still twitches, giving me the impression that the spices are still lingering around. This is certainly one for fans of a green, herbaceous fragrance. It isn't signature worthy, nor is it worth the retail price. However, if you can find a bottle for less than say £120, then this will make an interesting addition to your collection too.

Я могу признаться, что трижды заказывая по Интернету ароматы известных элитных брендов, основываясь на ингредиентах (выуженных со страниц Fragrantica). Это случалось потому, что в Италии не было возможности найти эти ароматы вживую. Должен сказать что все 3 раза были неудачны: несмотря на то что сами ингредиенты мне нравились вцелом и по отдельности, несмотря на то, что все они входили в состав парфюмов которые я приобретал вживую и раньше и которые мне нравились, общая формула приобретённых по интернету ароматов не стоила того (да ещё и за €350 за каждый флакон в среднем). Именно поэтому я не хочу вдаваться в инсинуации по поводу того чем пахнет этот аромат, да пожалуй и вся линия Join The Club от Xerjoff. Я полагаю, что намного ценнее в комментарии: умение передать ощущение от аромата, помочь понять ситуацию в которой ощущает себя человек примеряющий этот аромат на себе. По статусу ли ему этот запах, по силам ли ему этот уровень? Так же как в Китае существовали цвета в одежде дозволенные лишь Императору, точно так же и ароматы: это не маска под которой может скрыться батрак, выдавая себя за Графа, но скорее это Сам Граф ещё более подчеркивает яркое творение парфюмера примеряя его творение на себя. I'm sure that Join The Club of Xerjoff is actually the first brand that is not afraid to keep in secret the list of ingredients, precisely because this list often confuses the customer. I can admit that I've ordered three perfumes of famous luxury brands from their websites, basing my choise on the ingredients list (found on Fragrantica.com). This happened because in Italy it wasn't possible to find these perfumes anywhere. I must say that all 3 times were unsuccessful in spite of the fact that I liked the ingredients themselves separately, in fact that they were also a part of a lot of perfumes I acquired before and I liked them, the perfumes I've purchased on the Net was really my taste (and I paid for them like € 350 per bottle on average). That's why I do not want to make insinuations about the ingredients of Join The Club line. I believe that much more valuable in the review: the ability to convey the feeling from the aroma itself and to help to understand the situation in which a person that tries on the fragrance may find himself. He has to assess if he could afford this level? As well as in China there were colors in clothing permitted only to the Emperor, in the same way it works with perfumes: it's not a mask which can hide the pleb, posing him as Earl, but rather it's the Count himself emphasizes the creation of perfumer when he tries on his creation. Posso ammettere che ho ordinato almeno 3 profumi di lusso dei Nomi famosi dai loro siti web, basando la mia scelta sulla lista degli ingredienti (che si trova ad esempio su Fragrantica.com). Questo è accaduto perché in Italia non è stato possibile trovare questi profumi da nessuna parte. Devo dire che tutte le volte non ho avuto successo, nonostante il fatto che mi piacevano (separatamente) gli ingredienti e che addirittura facevano parte di un sacco dei profumi che avevo acquisito nel passato nelle profumerie in città e che, comunque, mi piacevano, i profumi che ho acquistato su Internet sono stati un vero fallimento (e ho pagato per loro circa € 350 per bottiglia). È per questo che non voglio fare insinuazioni riguarda gli ingredienti di Join The Club. Credo che molto più importante nella recensione: la capacità di trasmettere la sensazione che crea la fragranza, ma anche riuscir aiutare a capire la situazione in cui una persona che veste questo profumo potrebbe trovarsi. Si dovrebbe valutare seriosamente se potesse permettersi questo livello. Lo sapete comunque che in Cina erano proibiti certi colori per l'uso della gente comune nell'abbigliamento, perché erano permessi solo all'Imperatore, allo stesso modo questo vale per i profumi: il profumo di nicchia non è una maschera dietro quale si può nascondere la plebe, facendo finta di essere un signore, ma piuttosto è il Conte che si privilegia la creazione di profumiere quando lo veste. Mi auguro che questa volt sono riuscito a spiegare meglio la mia idea riguarda la profumeria di nicchia.

Ascot Moon opens with a clean blast of lush grassy notes, cedarwood and pepper which makes you think mmmm...that's interesting. As it settles it becomes decidedly spicier, strong oily, earthy tones which to me resemble diesel...not so pleasant. I think all that filth is coming from a dirty 'hippy' patchouli and spice something like caraway. The dry down is smokey but does mellow quite a lot after a few hours and it's nature becomes different again and this makes for an interesting fragrance. Ascot moon is bold but too weird for most peoples taste I would imagine, even mine. An interesting outing for all you patchouli lovers but I'd rather steer clear of it. Update: Interestingly enough I've since purchased an earthy/soil tincture type fragrance which although isn't a million miles away from this and weirdly enough also has 'moon' in the title...it's somehow much more appealing. This is still very smoky and oily in comparison but upon wearing it again the quality is undoubtable.

It smells like a patch of grass that has just been stepped on at night—very fresh, slightly damp, and vividly green. The opening is dominated by grass and basil. The greenness is immediate and direct, carrying the impression of plant sap, crushed herbs, and a faint earthy edge. There is also a subtle touch of spice and bitterness. In the heart, sage and patchouli deepen the composition, adding more spice and a stronger soil-like character. It brings to mind the scent of moist earth and exposed roots beneath the surface of a lawn. In the drydown, the fragrance shifts toward a drier moss and patchouli base, with a slight hint of leather emerging.

Surely this is an interesting scent, unique, in my opinion, and also differentiated. For me think it's a perfume that work well on most occasions, found it very versatile. In the opening i feel much nutmeg and maybe a little ginger, spices frecas that with the basil brings a very unique aroma. After a while i smell a herbal aroma, slightly woody and patchouli bring of an earthy touch. After all this, I close my eyes, smell my wrist and I find myself in a country club or perhaps on a farm hotel, watching the rain fall on the freshly cut grass, and the feeling of tranquility is very good, as the aroma this beautiful creation.

A unique interesting aromatic green fragrance that will not be everybody’s cup of tea. The perfume opens with notes of grass, crushed leaves and pepper. At its heart is moss, sage and basil. The perfume dries drown to a powdery synthetic musk and patchouli. The resulting feeling is of being in a sophisticated country club green area like a horse racing derby field the perfume is supposed to evoke. Unisex masculine leaning with very good sillage and projection and very good longevity. The heavy grassy opening may be a bit for some folks but the perfume dries to powdery musk soon as well. Enjoy!

Longevity 8/10 Projection 7/10 Sillage 7/10 Originality 19/10 there's no other perfume smells like it,never ever, not even close, and only one thing in the world smells exactly and unmistakably like it... Scent 2/10 ...I can only imagine how much this scent adored by the hard core lovers of an old school shoe polish!

Too masculine, very bitter grass. On me, it gets with a garage style vibe. Such a shame, it smelled very fine saffron in store. That’s why - never buy at a first sniph.

Ascot Moon aims to recreate the Royal Ascot horse racing show through scent, by embodying the atmosphere of high society gathering on a large green. It recreates this idea very accurately I’d say, but not in a good way. The scent itself is composed of an overdose of this realistic grass note, backed up by an earthy base of oakmoss, patchouli and some warm spices. There’s a headache-inducing basil note which comes across very synthetic and almost like plastic, which does not react well with everything else here. Ascot Moon was a blind buy for me as I found it for a very low price, but after trying to get along with it I just can’t - and will be selling it on. This fragrance is intensely green and grassy to the point it becomes nauseating, the quality and blending is not what you’d usually expect from Xerjoff unfortunately.

Dusty vetiver, something petroleum-like, and a touch of liniment. I'd have guessed car show rather than horse club. Nothing fresh or animalic here.

Just because only 1 person has yet to review this on Fragrantica, I leave you my 1st impression, late night review: 1st thought blind testing: WOW this is oddly herbal/green/fresh! The sage and grass notes definitely dominate, followed closely by a very freshly-broken basil leaf scent. The grass is covered in cold morning dew, not sharp or harsh at all. This is the 1st 5 mins so will try to report back... so far I like it a lot but would not buy it as it's not really my style (I don't tend to like many fresh scents on myself). [10.1.14]

نامم بزرگی رو به یدک می کشد اما اصلا رایحه ای در حد این اسم و قیمت ندارد.به نظر من براي خيلي ها غير قابل تحمل است.
