Coro (Selfridges Exclusive)

This one was from love to hate and I ended up buying a bottle . Fantastic , soapy , fruity fragrance with nuclear longevity and projection . When wore it to work my colleague said when he enters my office first when he opens the door there is a wall of fragrance. When I go to other closed places even after I leave Coro stays there ! So strong so gorgeous .Much, much better version of Erba pura not for Meeks 😉

My Fiancée just got the sample of this from selfridges last week. We are going to pick it up today. Smells soooooo good and i keep smelling it as she walks past me, so yes... the sillage is terrific. I think its leaning more feminine, but a man can easily pull it off. Amazing scent. I love it!

In my surroundings it was hard to find someone who would not like this scent. It's more elegant and potent than erba pura, less sharp edges and the soapy-powdery vibe is exquisite. Also less girly. Perfect for year around use but go easy on the trigger. Less is more with this scent.

Wonderfully fruity and fresh, lika a grown-up Erba Pura or a Erba Gold with a hint of Cruz del Sur II. Love it!

This perfume smells like the air from a sweet shop sprayed all over your neck. It comes steaming in like a brazen brass band on hard drugs, but it then descends into a gentle bit of jazz. The sweet tones are offset by a touch of amber in the base, giving it a grandiose scent, which is quite deep. It doesn't have the best longevity or sillage, which for me makes it way overpriced, but it is a nice scent, which I wear when I don't want the rest of the world to notice me. I have to say, I am somewhat disappointed with it. The scent does make me feel happy when I smell it, but I was expecting something a little more interesting, for a limited edition. I have heard that Xerjoff do some excellent work, but sadly, I don't think this is part of that spectrum. I bet the air at Selfridges stank of disappointment, much like a birthday cake without any icing, when this scent profile was pushed to it. Some collaborations go on to make great things, but this one isn't one for the history books. 6/10. I wanted it to be a much prettier pony ride.

I saw the concerns in the comments about Coro fakes rolling around so I want to assure you that the sample I have is the real deal: a Xerjoff representative gave me a free sample in store. Here are my thoughts: The jasmine note is quite strong in Coro, which imparts a thrilling fresh, white floral experience. At the same time, I can smell the sandalwood grounding the fragrance. Coro still has the fruity notes that feel very Erba Pura DNA to me, but this moves away from the fruity gourmand space and more in the fruity-floral space, which I prefer. This perfume also has a powdery quality that feels elegant and refined. I like Coro more than Erba Pura, Erba Gold, and Erba Pura Magica by Sospiro 😉

The opening is intense, reminiscent to sour candy, that then mellows out into a fruity, clean scent. It's sweet, yet not that sweet, unisex female-leaning. Young, clean-cut guys can definitely rock it as well if not better. Extremely long-lasting (at least on my skin) -- I can still smell it before bed when I spritzed in the morning. Sillage is in the sweet-spot, not too overwhelming, but makes a nice bubble around you. I wouldn't buy it for the original price personally but this is probably the best fruity perfume I tried, so if that's your sort of thing, I definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful, beautiful scent. If you like Erba Pura, you'll love this too. So heavenly fruity. Leaning female, but I don't mind wearing it too. Can offer decants of it (Europe only), if someone needs PM me.

how can such a perfume brand exist. They are all more disgusting than the others. Here a powdery fruitiness that seems to come from a factory of little scented trees for cars. It gives the impression of a mechanic who has put on perfume after a day of repairing engines and filling up on gasoline. Heady, nauseating, bad taste,...

What I get is a lot of soapiness, soapy fruits. At first blast I see similarity with Kirke (which I don't like) and when this soapiness... pass

Pourrait rappeler erba pura et erba gold à l'ouverture : une explosion de fruits mais encore plus sucrés, me rappelle des bonbons acides. Il me fait saliver avec cette combinaison sucré/acide : je ne me verrais pas le porter, il a l'air assez puissant et pas assez complexe, trop vu et revu. Si je n'avais pas déjà passé ma phase erba pura et que ma passion pour la parfumerie débutait seulement, il m'aurait sans doute plu. Avec davantage de recul je trouve qu'il fait un peu "cheap" dans la mesure où cette overdose de sucre masque le travail derrière, nul doute cependant sur la qualité des ingrédients, comme toujours chez Xerjoff. Ps. Fini par faire un peu spray d'ambiance pour salle de bain ...

Coro Overall: 6/10 Projection: 5/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 5/10 Comments: Coro is best described as an Erba Pura derivative because the fruit accords and base notes are identical sans the sandalwood in Coro. However, Coro doesn't tangibly improve upon the formulation of Erba Pura. The things added to the Erba Pura formulation such as orris, jasmine, floral notes, and sandalwood don't improve it. The things removed from Erba Pura such as the orange, bergamot, and lemon, I miss. I think there are better powdery fruity perfumes out there. However, I don't think this is a bad perfume; it just isn't for me.

Tons of fakes floating around out there, I wouldn't trust buying this from anywhere other than Selfridges. My opinion is to stay away from the older velvet versions you see listed on various sites. I can confidently say I've had the chance to smell the OG next to a fake, it's not even comparable. I'm not saying this is the best juice in the world, but it is pretty good stuff! If you've smelled this & were thinking it was terrible or had almost no scent at all most likely you weren't sampling an original.

Beautiful more refined and less screechy version of Erba Pura which I got rid of. This definitely has the synthetic fruity floral DNA as Tiziana Terenzi fragrances. This is elegant although I don't find myself pulling for it often but I have a ton of fragrances. If I had to keep only 50 out of my 100 that I currently have this would make the 50 cut but not the top 25 and certainly not top 10. Worth a sniff though.

Why is there a red version and a yellow version? The yellow is Selfridges exclusive but how are they different note-wise, and why do two fragrances in the same house share a single name? Makes zero sense, and decanting people will have virtually no way of telling which they got!

Coro, by Xerjoff, smells exactly like Tutti Frutti Bean Jelly candies. It's very easy to like this fragrance. It smells like fruit candies. It's sweet and fun. This perfume is sold only in Harrods in London and in the Xerjoff store in Dubai Mall.

Smells good like a powdered bubblegum with florals in the back but obsolete in comparison to Erba Pura. Performance is fantastic but it isn't worth the price. Just get Erba Pura.

Erba pura’s loud sibling - very sweet with a strong bubble gum note which is not listed but I get in the middle of zone . If you like Erba Pura you will love this !

Yes - Kirke! Soapy fruit. Although kirke dries down to a big blast of peach. I'll pass on this one.
