Elle Anniversary

I tested this at NM and HAD to have it.. but I ended up returning it because the Sillage and longevity are NOT there. The scent is absolutely gorgeous, although it does get a little synthetic. I thought I was crazy because it's a Xerjoff and I thought maybe I just went noseblind, so I sprayed down a shirt and tucked it away, sprayed some on my wrist, went to bed, and I could smell no trace of it the following morning. Even if I DRENCHED myself in it, it was gone shortly after. I wanted to love this so bad. But I could not justify the price. I would have returned it even if it only cost $6.50 because of how weak the scent is. It's a gorgeous bottle and great to have if you are a collector, but it's not a good full-size blind buy, and if you are thinking about it, get a decant.

Hmm.. will this be the litchi perfume of the year?! Crossing my fingers it's a success blind buy 😭 *Update* Prominent green apple & litchi in the opening that's present throughout the wear. The licorice makes the fruits more candied-like rather being tart. This belongs in the same category as Cruz Del Sur II as they both share a tropical smoothie experience-- but here leans creamy fruit-chouli. Elle Ann is unique among most litchi offerings bc it's not paired with rose that we typically see. Everything is well blended/no screechiness ..delicious & luxurious --far from body spray teritory. I can see it being popular for summer & the bottle is even more beautiful in person!

This is a pretty, fruity floral fragrance that is very easy to wear. It doesn’t smell strong or project across the room, but it has that vibe like you just naturally smell good and feminine. I think a lot of people would enjoy this. You just can’t have expectations of a super unique scent or strong performance. I think this fits into life easily, since it can be worn anywhere. I think a lot of different ages would enjoy this, since it is very wearable and still sophisticated.

So stunning, although I will admit this is super pricey. I eventually got it as a gift from my husband and it’s become my absolute favourite! At first glance the notes seem generic but I truly have nothing like it in my collection. It reminds me of powdered sugar sherbet very feminine and gorgeous. I don’t think it projects all that much or lasts super long - both aren’t issues to me but I thought I’d mention it if you are considering whether it’s worth the money.

This is such a beautiful floral fresh shampooey kind of smell. Reminds me of Elixir by Roja but this is fresher and sweeter. The price is ridiculous but if you can find it second hand for an affordable price I would say it's a safe blind buy. 9.5/10

I’m so in love with this fragrance I’m so happy to have it in my collection. It smells like candy, sweet, girlie, feminine, gorgeous! This fragrance is sparkling and the packaging and detail is exquisite! I love it! I want to bathe in it.

Literally a refreshing bowl of fruit salad ! Smells like a fresh and sweet juicy crisp of green apple mixed with red fruits. As it fades, it's a bit warmer and sweeter on the red fruits and tends to be super creamy. Love it !

OMG I love this blind buy! Agree with the comments bellow, this is a nostalgic perfect woman scent, girlish yet sophisticated. Stays close to skin which I love, I don't want to kill the room with my existence. Love!

I first tried this on paper and disliked it but once I tried it on my skin I purchased it immediately. Fruity and sophisticated

A light floral fruity scent you could probably get for a hundred bucks (or less) from a designer brand.

This is so soft, sweet, and beautiful. It makes you feel like a delicate pretty flower :)

I absolutely love this fragrance. A friend sent me a sample and it left a lasting impression. So much so I blind bought the original Elle by accident. I still love Elle but these are two completely different fragrances. While the original is very elegant, feminine and comforting. Elle Anniversary is still elegant and feminine, but with a clean and uplifting vibe. This is a fragrance that makes me smile. Although it appears light wearing, I still get whiffs of the scent throughout the day and can smell the berries hours later. The price tag is absolutely ludicrous though. I definitely want this in my collection, but I’ll be waiting to grab it at a discounted price. This is a scent that should definitely have been under £200 or at least sold as 100ml for the price they’re asking.

This is a very nice perfume, great for daily wear, not too strong or sweet. It’s lightly fruity, little bit floral, it’s medium projection scent. I would compare it a little bit to Chanel Eau Tendre how strong it is. Not saying it’s the same style but strength. So it wouldn’t last all day but you can still smell it after about 5-6 hours. First time I tried this perfume I loved it. But when trying it again, the apple note in it really bothers me. The sweetness comes from fruits and litchi, I can’t smell the bergamot, licorice or jasmine in here. I would wear this perfume if gifted, but I would not purchase it unless it was much cheaper. Not worth the price tag in my opinion. The bottle is stunning though!

I hate to love this so much. I was lucky enough to get it 50% on a discounter but I still think $200 is too much money for how this performs. It smells amazing and extremely luxurious but the longevity is so bad and sillage is not there at all. Smells like an elevated version of the fruity shampoo my mom used on me as a kid. The Method body + hair mist in dark cherry/raspberry smells similar, especially when I use that as a hair mist. I just wish there was a version of this that actually performed like a perfume of this price.

After first try I was sure that I smell osmantus with black tea. Lately I could distinguish liquorice with vanilla and still some creamy apricots. And lots of musk that makes this perfume smell fresh. Though Xerjoff perfumes usually very loud this composition sits close to skin and sometimes sounds like body care lotion. In other words for me this is comforting cosmetic osmantus that lasts all day and seems like impossible to overspray.

This perfume is incredibly pleasant 😊 It has a clear fruity accord. But, to me, the price can’t be justified since the fragrance doesn’t last long. I can smell it clearly for maximum one hour, and after that I need to reapply (and that makes it even more pricey).

I ended up letting my sample of this sit for about a month and when I sprayed it again the scent significantly improved. It smelled like candied fruit with a hint of fizz at the back, almost like rosé champagne. It's perfect for a celebratory occasion.

This is a very airy and slightly powdery floral. It's a nice girly scent. I didn't pick up on the fruits much

This perfume hit me with the most exotic, juicy scent I’ve ever experienced—like, seriously, the moment I smelled it, I was blown away! 🍎🍑 It’s bursting with this fresh, fruity goodness, and I quickly realized it’s the litchi and apple that really stand out. It’s vibrant, uplifting, and just so good... until it dries down. 😕 Unfortunately, it fades into a pretty basic and sheer floral, which was kind of a letdown. I’m definitely on the hunt for something that captures that incredible opening but lasts. I’d give it a 5 out of 10 overall because, despite the amazing start, it just dies out too quickly.

It's very fruity, sweet and light. It's nothing special and leans more into a synthetic syrupy scent. Some may be reminded of a shampoo with this perfume. This isn't a bad perfume but it also doesn't have anything outstanding about it to be worthy this price tag. The best part is truly the bottle itself which looks just stunning!

For $400, I want an experience. I want my eyes to roll to the back of my head when I smell it. This fragrance doesn't do that. It's girly, sweet, non-descript, nothing special. It's good. Not great. You can get the same satisfaction from a Bath and Body Works fragrance.

A faintly spicy light floral. It's very classic and would be great for daily wear. It's not bad, just....meh. It just smells so generic for the price tag.

I just tried a sample I bought, and it's not giving what others say it’s giving. First, I thought I would love this because the notes are some of my favorite notes, but I was iffy about the licorice. The scent smells like the Sour Apple Hubba Bubba bubblegum tape, and not in a good way. It's giving gift shop and old auntie at the same time. There is an airfreshener quality I was not expecting since the notes seem to be mostly fruit. I also think it's kinda offensively powdery, again because it smells like airfreshener. Sorry, this wasn't it. [Edit]: Okay, I let it macerated a bit, and it is definitely brighter with less of that licorice note that I think was throwing me off. I can see why it's said to be the "perfect woman" scent. It's definitely a Mary Poppins perfume. But it's still smells like air freshener.

It's nice but...really basic. The only good thing about this fragrance is the gorgeous bottle. This fragrance isn't worth half the price it's going for, even on the grey market.

I blind bought this one based on the notes, because I love many of them. I am so dissapointed with this fragrance. I own many Xerjoff parfumes which I love and is one of my favorites houses. I found this one so low profile, soft, very weak, no sillage, that you barely can smell the notes for one minute. This is an expensive parfume so my recomendation is sample it first because in my opinion not worth the money. Also I do not find any similarity with the original Elle. Have to say that the bottle is very beautiful.

Do you ever feel nostalgic for your teen fragrances like Fantasy, all the Escada’s, the baby prostitute type, Pink Sugar, DKNY, all the VS Body Sprays, etc whatever it was but you know what I mean. We all loved THAT perfume in THAT era but a lot of us moved on into more serious, refined or niche fragrances that were more personalized to our adult moods. Remember how THAT sweet, fruity, fun perfume made us feel happy and gorgeous because it had all the cute crowd pleasing accords possible. How it smelled amazing on everyone and we constantly shared it and didn’t care that we all smelled the same. 🤣 How we didn’t feel put together or ready unless we sprayed that perfume before leaving the house, wore it for all occasions, in our cars and it was always in our purse, ready to reapply at school, at the club, before dates, EVERYWHERE etc... well this is the refined, adult, classy and sophisticated version of THAT perfume from THAT era! It’s feminine, sweet, smells expensive (yes it’s important for some of us for a perfume to smell expensive even if it’s not) it has all the sweet accords without being gourmand or immature. Smells grown up without smelling mature at all, NO WORRIES! Crowd pleaser without being “that perfume that everyone has” or the “current popular young crowd perfume at Sephora”. And it truly does super project and also lasts a really long time so the price is justified! Get it, every woman needs it, it’s the perfect girls girl perfume that brings THAT nostalgia from THAT without the stigma of whatever the reason it is you no longer wear Fantasy anymore. No judging, who cares. Yes, you’re so cool with all those niche ouds and musks but get this for yourself anyway, your know you secretly miss Fantasy sometimes. 🫢 Get it for your mom and your grandmother, aunties and old besties, this won’t give teen young crowd vibes at all, watch them smile and remember.

This is a gorgeous fucking perfume! Expensive, yes, but Xerjoff is a luxury brand and when you buy a Xerjoff, you know that. They have the best bottle presentation by far and if you want to buy your loved one a very nice present-buy them a brand new Xerjoff with full presentation and packaging. Unboxing my first Xerjoff was an experience. Some of the scents are a little too niche for my taste, so I was glad when I smelled this one because at this price point I need to LOVE IT. This is a big love. My BF is annoyed at my fragrance 'obsession' so he doesn't complement me too often but this one, he offered a complement and told me how good I smelled. That sold me! I've learned at this point, my collection needs a big declutter and I only want to add perfumes I truly love and get excited to wear. It can't just smell good, it needs to make me feel SOMETHING. This is an appealing fragrance that isn't just for me, it's one that I'm sure your beau will also appreciate. It's feminine, sexy, not overly complicated, yet still refined. It's girly, and yes, it is similar to Hypnotic Musk but it projects more and has better longevity.

This is such a pretty and special fragrance. The girliest scent I own by far. The bottle, the packaging and the actual fragrance will fulfill some girlhood dreams. There is something slightly nostalgic about the fragrance in that it smells like almost every body spray I had growing up but is still unique and more refined. If you are missing your juicy sprays from teen years but still want to smell like a woman (and not get a headache) I would give this a test. I fully agree with eva745's review in that it's definitely the popular girl scent and love the scene she sets, it captures this scent so perfectly. For me this is not an everyday scent but a very special fun and flirty fragrance. I plan to wear it on my birthday trip and will lock it away to mark other special occasions. As a collector I always recycle the box but this (so far) will be the only one I keep. Because I'm not reaching for it daily I want the entire experience of unveiling it from its satin case. Just a stunning experience.

This smells like a baby prostitute (Mean Girls) and that's a huge compliment. It's insane that this is by Xerjoff, smells bubblegummy and fresh and mean and popular girls side eyeing people from their lockers while chewing gum, intense body spray vibes, but expensive. It's a red berries candy from your 2000s childhood. Dare I say I love this mess. I sprayed it again and got an added popsicle vibe, the ones you made by sticking a spoon on those dense pink yogourths as a kid. It has a subtle lactonic mango and strawberry milkshake thing going on. I'm literally tripping on this at work, I might need to find a dupe because I would love to actually smell like this every day.

Definitely a Lolita type like 80% I have a sample of both. This one is more "sophisticated" by a quarter inch. It doesn't have the harsh burnt sugar licorice smell. Which imo gave LL depth. Lets be frank we all are really just buying for the bottle anyway. Plus I think LL is discontinued? May be wrong but I remember talks about that. Hubby said it smelled generic. Even he acknowledged the bottle is the main attraction. I told him yeah the girls are mainly buying for that reason. When I first sprayed he thought it smelled like Flowerbomb intense. 05/26 update: Petite Robe Noire mixed with rosebud bottle Insolence. Also reminds me of Cry Baby but a grown up version.

I am so glad I didn’t blind buy this. The bottle was very tempting but I managed to get a sample with a Xerjoff order and echoing the reviewer below me, it is just so soft. Barely there honestly. I got 3 good wears out of my sample (I overspray) and it’s not a bad smell by any means but nothing wow factor either and even if it was you wouldn’t be able to smell it after 10 minutes anyways so what’s the point? Sad because I wanted to add the pretty bottle to my collection. I would say you could definitely pass on this unless you collect for the bottles because I’m so shocked by how weak this is for the price.

I love it for how amazing this smells on my cold skin in the South Florida heat. It’s elegant, high-quality, and doesn't smell synthetic—a beautiful balance of fresh berries and gentle powder. It’s so perfect and inoffensive from opening to dry-down that I broke my "travel sizes only" rule. A full bottle is already on the way, and I don't need to be looking for Lolita Lempicka.

very sweet, elegant, feminine, and sweetness in the most delightful way! But it lasts for shorter time, and then it sits very very close to skin. A lotnof sprays are necessary. It is great for office, or day to day, or even night perfume for hot summer. Smells like apples, licorice, cashmere, amber

Beautiful, so lovely. I get the vibe of Lolita lempicka but this is soo much smoother and a little creamier. Sweet fruits smooth vanilla and a little liquorice. I really wish it was a little less expensive. RRP £340 for 50ml is so pricy otherwise I’d douse myself. Eugh. 9/10

This is smells like a powdery Eden Juicy Apple from Kayali mixed with Princess by Kilian. Also has that musk that Apollonia have that I can’t stand. I was so excited but eh. And I’m a big Xerjoff fan. This could be something Guerlain Aqua Allegoria would release. Ringarde!

I’m so happy I sampled and didn’t blind buy. Very pretty fragrance but not for that price point. I layered Delina Rosee by PDM and Eden Sparkling Lychee by Kayali....i got the same vibe but actually better.

This is the most beautiful perfume. Fruity and sweet and Lucious. I have smelled xerjoff anniversary before but I can’t remember if they are similar. Doesn’t matter this is gorgeous. It’s a love for me

Litchi is very prominent in the beginning so it’s a NO for me.
