Ignore the pyramid above. There is a strong raspberry or deep red juicy fruit , prevalent in the opening and stays throughout. if you like the sound of that, it's worth getting a bottle (at a discounter!). The fruity notes are creamy, and the amber base takes some time to come forward but when it does it blends so well with the floral fruity top notes, I fell unexpectedly in love. The fruit takes a backseat after a while but it never completely disappears. There is a phase about 30-45 minutes in when the fruit starts to evolve, taking backseat to the other notes and in that phase, I went slightly anosmic to the juice. For a frightening moment I thought it was gone, but I could still see the oily spot on my wrist so I knew it wasn't. I waited a bit and sure enough the fragrance continued to evolve and finally settled into its final form after a few hours: creamy vanillin amber base with those fruity florals dancing on top. The lasting power in INSANE! All told, it was nearly 14 hours before the scent fully disappeared.

I absolutely love this scent, but bought it by accident after smelling Elle Anniversary and falling in love with that one. Elle is still an absolute love though. What a beautiful, elegant, comforting scent. It feels light wearing, but creates a gorgeous scent bubble that I can smell throughout the day. It seems each time I smell this, I get something a little different. This is only my second time wearing it since my bottle arrived, and I can definitely smell an almost blackcurrant/berry scent in the base. I just find this such a beautiful fragrance. It's so easy to wear and is definitely now one of my favourites.

This is such an interestingly beautiful perfume. Strangely enough this smells different on the atomizer/sniffing my skin up close vs smelling it from arms length. I much prefer the way this smells from a distance, thankfully the projection is strong to allow this. I constantly get whiffs of this throughout the day and somehow this perfume flooded my room with this smell for hours after I applied. It’s a gorgeous slightly fruity shampoo smell. It has a coldness to it, almost like wet hair with shampoo in it. Dries down ambery and soapy. A very gorgeous, elevated scent with lasting power.

I'm going to sound as a total profane, but to me Elle smells very similar to the original Lolita Lempicka, or at least this is the first thought that comes to my mind every time I sniff the wrist. Maybe Elle is more elegant, not so "in your face" sweet, but at the end I cannot stop thinking that I could pull off a similar perfume for a fraction of money. I like both a lot, it's just that price difference is insulting.

Elle opens as a sweet fruity floral, but not the drugstore variety since it’s tempered by woods and resins. The fruity accord is like a mix of ripe melon and moist pipe tobacco flavored with cherry and tonka. The perfumer’s website says that the fruit is supposed to be raspberry, but that’s not what it smells like to me. OK, maybe there’s a slight hint of raspberry or strawberry jello, but it’s not the main fruity player. As the scent settles down, the pipe tobacco impression dominates for a couple of hours, at which point a powdery note enters the picture. It’s a warm, sweet, ambery, musky powder that lasts and lasts on both skin and clothing. Like other Xerjoff perfumes, XJ Elle is beautifully put together. It’s pleasant and long-lasting, with just the right amount of sillage. I enjoy it throughout its entire development. It may not be the most original perfume I’ve ever smelled, but it’s definitely high quality.

I agree with most reviewers below that there is a strong fruity aspect that is not at all reflected by the perfume pryamid above. Sweet, creamy, delicious raspberries, strawberries, maybe even a few cherries. I'm totally getting the reference to the original Lolita Lempicka. While LL is the spicy winter version, Elle is its fruity sister for the spring or a summer evening out. This is a wonderful, long-lasting, high quality fragrance and I will use my 2 ml sample sparingly and enjoy every second of it. Would I buy a full bottle? Not at Xerjoffs usuall price point. But I really do like it! By the way, I received a sample of Xerjoff Erba Pura at the same time. Elle is exactly what I expected Erba Pura to be, sweet, fruity and playful. (Exactly what Erba pura is not!) I'm confused by the perfume pyramids of all Xerjoff fragrances I sampled so far. How can they get it so wrong with this particular house?

I like it so far. You get the raspberry jello/shampoo vibes as mentioned, plus some resinous (I believe) undertones. We'll see how it dries down. Edit: Ok I love this! It retains the raspberry component with the light, feminine, youthful yet luxurious resinous touch. The drydown seems to mingle nicely on my skin.

Lovely florals, but nothing too outstanding.

I got my sample of Elle quite by chance, and it's not something I would have picked out for myself. So it's no surprise that my reaction to it is a little lukewarm, although I don't dislike it. The resinous notes are nice here, so soft and feminine and cosy - especially in the drydown, where the composition is so creamy as to be borderline gourmand, which I like. But it's also very, very sweet, almost one-dimensionally so, and that's a problem. It's very well blended; apart from the resins I really can't pick out any of the listed notes, but in this case I don't think that's a good thing. To the contrary, I would have liked to smell some citrus or birch wood in there, but as it is sweetness is really the main thing I get from it; there's just not much complexity or development that I can make out. Not worth the high price, in my opinion.

Not understanding the hype with this fragrance. It's not much prettier than other amber or woody fragrances out there. Perhaps the longevity is what people are going for, but I'd rather get a less expensive fragrance with a similar vibe and spray myself an extra time or two. The ridiculous price tag here is not worth it. It IS pretty, but not THAT pretty or unique, and there isn't anything extra luxurious about it.

Elle is beautifully indescribable, my upcoming comparisons are proof of this. Very light, while remaining resinous - this is the perfect mix of sweet, citric, grounded, powdery, and is divine! My eyes are seeing the notes oppoponax, benzoin, birch, orange flower... but during the initial spray, my nose is smelling sweet berry jello (as the previous reviewer stated, too), & 90's drugstore hairspray! I mean this in the best way possible. This first impression quickly dissipates to make way for a smooth, silky, powder-puff drydown of iris, benzoin & musk. Elle is so full of comfort & luxury, it seems to be perfect as an "any-season" 'fume! There is very little projection here, and the wear-time is moderate, more on the short side. For the arm & leg this costs, I'd expect a bit more. What am I paying for, the paperweight cap? I would guess that 3-8 sprays would be needed to get the desired effect. The fragrance itself: 10/10. Performance: 3/10.

I smelled this probably close to a decade ago and it became my unicorn! Revisiting in 2022 was like seeing someone without rose colored glasses. Sheer disappointment. Elle opens with a pretty dry blast of sweet, syrupy, sticky fruity goodness. A big angelic powder puff semi-reminiscent of 90s hairspray and chewable berry gummy candies tempered by something resinous and woody- although I would categorize this scent as neither gourmand, nor dated. The charming orange blossom/oppoponax opening quickly loses its footing as the scent tapers down to a shrill and headachey lollipop nightmare. If Guerlain’s French Kiss was on a bad trip. Could’ve been the perfect scent with a less flimsy base! This is 1000% exactly what I imagine Kelly Kapowski from saved by the bell to smell like. For 30 minutes, before it’s a barely perceptible skin scent. Xerjoff I love you, but what are you charging THIS PRICE for exactly?!

On my skin it is mostly patchouli and myrr with birch, amber and florals. It could easily be described as fruitchouli? Not that unique, but definitely too complex and not for everyday wear.

Yes, this does smell like the original lolita lempicka. In the best possible way! A wearable, ultra high quality version of it that is super smooth, fruitier, less vetiver and more of the best aspects of lolita. For years i wished Lolita was exactly this. Then i guess my dream came true with elle. Yes, slightly less points for uniqueness but this is borderline unique if it weren’t for that familiar dna. I also totally get the raspberry macaroon, the raspberry jello, berry jam or cantaloupe vibe. This is soooo well blended and smooth that u cant pick up notes apart, u can only pick up vibes. 10/10 for sublime ingredients quality and smoothness. This a sweet, red berry-fruity sort of vanillic, benzoin, soft resiny type scent that also gets 10/10 in versatility. Its transparent, airy, light, silky, a bit creamy, cozy, comforting and a bit moody... love this for a cloudy day running errands, the movies, or coffee, or the office...maybe dinner. because this is not a strong beast mode scent i dont see if for a club scenario unless u totally over spray but the vibe of this is calm and relaxed... as opposed to high energy. I think of purple, light neutrals, i think of a cream color... the bottle does kinda look like it smells. This is a go to scent that can be worn every season of the year. Likely not in ultra high heat but in every other climate. This can be young, middle aged or any age in a playful, hint of sexy way. Not mature or vintage smelling at all. No wood vibe, more of a violety, iris hint. Its pretty, addictive, wearable and totally versatile with a beautiful calm energy to it. Edit: 3 years have passed and i love this perfume sooooo much. Its soo cozy, soft, smooth. Its a masterpiece.

This is what Galadriel wears. It’s a perfect combination between airy musk, sweet flowers and warm amber. It’s angelic , soft and pretty. It’s not candy sweet, but just enough sweetness of the white flowers which balances amazing with the woods and evens out the patchouli. The projection is above average but doesn’t scream. The longevity however is very good, just be aware that after the 4 hour mark it starts to be a skin scent but I can still smell it after 7 hours! This is definitely unisex, office safe and a good one all year round. I was lucky to buy it online for €300 instead of €550 instore 😟.

Pleasant, but just seems to lack a certain something on me. I get a very vague berry note initially, but that is fleeting. After a few minutes it dries down to a soft and light slightly sweet but nondescript musk but there's also a slightly nauseating milky/cream note which I didn't care for. It's uncomplicated and linear, and on me it's a skin scent with minimal sillage and minimal staying power. I can't say I don't like it, because it's ok, but I can say I don't think it's worth it's price, certainly not on me.

I’m not sure why 30 people thumbs downed that this smells like LL because it’s pretty much spot on. It’s like a mix of LL and LPRN by Guerlain. Definitely a girlier version, but the price difference is so steep and I still feel like the original LL made this scent MUCH better. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m familiar with the other one first, but this smells like a dupe to me and I can’t justify the price point.

I love this. It’s not a super complicated fragrance, albeit a very beautiful and well-blended one. At first, I get a burst of juicy red berries, but as it dries down, it becomes a mix of amber and honey with earthy, berry undertones. I can detect patchouli, though it’s not overpowering. I’d love to have this as my signature scent if it weren’t so pricey.

A very pleasant fruity pseudo-gourmand. I mainly pick up jammy berries juxtaposed against a vanillic-balsamic base, with a touch of ambery woodiness to balance out the sweetness and keep it from going full-on edible or shampooey. Has a similar vibe to Erba Pura. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely likeable.

A fragrance that truly touches the senses, unobtrusive, universally loved, and that brightens your day and brings smiles to those around you. That's the fragrance's message, plain and simple. 9/10

Elle is so soft and feminine, a whisper of a fragrance. Smells like a warm summer garden, really get the amber floral. Found it to be quite and sophisticated.
