Golden Green

Golden Green, part of the exclusive Coffee Break collection, is a true hidden gem in Xerjoff's humongous portfolio. While much of the spotlight often falls on Golden Dallah, Golden Green stands out as a masculine, versatile and greatly performing fragrance. The first impression is dominated by an invigorating zing of juniper berries and a warm, aromatic spice of cardamom. These top notes are enhanced by the subtle inclusion of pink pepper and nutmeg, creating an almost effervescent opening. Delving deeper, the heart of Golden Green reveals a blend of vetiver, leather, cedarwood, incense, and labdanum. The vetiver lends its earthy, (very slightly) smoky greenness, which forms a crucial part of the scent's character, giving it a more green dimension. The leather adds a refined, almost ashy quality, while cedarwood provides a solid, woody backbone. Hints of incense and labdanum contribute a resinous depth, adding to the overall darkness of the composition. As the fragrance progresses, the base notes emerge. The presence of coffee, adds a nutty and subtly bitter nuance that perfectly complements the darker elements. This "unroasted green coffee" aspect, highlighted by Xerjoff themselves, contributes to the scent's distinctive character. Cypriol (Nagarmotha) further enhances the earthy and woody facets, while ambergris provides a soft warmth, and musk rounds out the composition. When it comes to comparisons, Sauvage Elixir has been rightfully mentioned a few times. Having tested them side by side, my observation is that they are vaguely similar, but different enough to not be redundant. Where Golden Green leans into its green, earthy, and drier musky facets, Sauvage Elixir undeniably goes heavier on the lavender, creating a more aromatic and slightly sweeter profile. Golden Green maintains a drier, "more niche" edge, avoiding any overtly sweet undertones. Performance-wise, Golden Green's longevity is very good, easily comparable to the formidable sausage, staying on skin for well over 8-10 hours, and projecting confidently for a 2-3 hours. Despite its great quality and impressive performance, Golden Green remains almost unknown... which is not a bad thing, as it can be often found at discounters for a very reasonable price - considering its versatility, I highly recommend it!

My personal favorite from the Coffee Break series. A very high-quality blend that is well under the radar. Particularly masculine in design and execution, it may, for a few seconds, remind of Sauvage Elixir. But this is in no way a detractor. There is no overlap or redundancy, at all. Golden Green blazes its own path with the juniper berry and cardamom up top setting the stage for one of the best dry downs in any bottle I own. There is ripe, unroasted coffee in the base that (paired with the cypriol oil I assume) creates a long-lasting and dense aromatic flair to the dry down. I love it. In a catalog as large as Xerjoff has, this can (and apparently is) overlooked. But it is priced well on discounters and is really a more versatile and wearable fragrance than It looks to be on paper. If it seems appealing, get a sample or decant.

Elegant, sophisticated and effortless green cardamom bomb. The coffee note here is very green and raw, and paired together the heavy dose of cardamom, makes Golden Green a delicious nearly-gourmand fresh-spicy-aromatic that's hard to resist. This to me is essentially a *heavily* spiced Levantine shot of coffee gone cold - if you ever had middle eastern cardamom coffee you'll know what I mean. Could be worn year round in my opinion, but ideally in fall/spring. Speaking as a woman, it is totally unisex in my opinion, but I can see how some would characterize it as leaning towards the masculine side. Moderate projection and longevity on me. This is definitely cardamom lovers approved. And if by any chance you have Xerjoff's Starlight, try layering it on top of Golden Green, you'll go straight to cardamom heaven.

Words cannot describe how much I love Golden Green. I understand it's not for everyone and that's ok. It reminds me of picking pumpkins in the fall with my wife and girls in Wisconsin. There's a spice in Golden Green that triggers happy memories and is backed with the most relaxing lavender and coffee I could imagine. It's complex, bold, and masculine. I found myself reaching for this a few times over the summer when the wife and I go out for a date or meet up with friends. This is 100% a signature fragrance and will set you apart from everyone else. I'm glad this is far under anyone's radar because my bottle is more than half empty and people are selling full bottles for cheap!! Cheers!

I recently got this fragrance and I am in love with it, I read that some people don't get the coffee but I catch it pretty early on and in my opinion it carries the entire scent, this fragrance starts with an aggressive and intriguing earthy scent and then slowly morphs into a calm, sweet and coffee combo while holding on to the earthy vibe. Wear this on a cold night or any indoor occasion.

The first day I wore it, I received three compliments. This fragrance performs exceptionally well, and the projection is beastly, so you don't have to overspray it. If you want a strong masculine scent for the winter, I would highly suggest it. FYI, I don't get any coffee notes on this fragrance, so if you are expecting something more gourmand, I wouldn't suggest it.

Smells like a complex Sauvage Elixir with much classier ingredients and without synthetic colours and etc. Seems to me like a well blended 212 VIP and Sauvage Elixir. Absolutely astounding sweet accord because of the berries. A masterpiece I discovered by accident, but would buy constantly from now on.

A nice green and resinous perfume. The most powerful note to me is cypriol with its green smokiness. I like this better than Golden Dallah, which smells a bit musty and is missing something to lift it up. Carner Barcelona's Drakon is a smoother and smokier version of this.

I think this is one of the underrated fragrances from the house. If you like fragrances like Haltane, Oud for greatness Neo and sauvage elixir, you will probably like this fragrance. Sweetness that's tempered by spices, leather and woods, that's masculine.

The most slept on Xerjoff! So good. Btw the @ below owns brut, old spice, YSL mass market, (according to their own list.) but is complaing about golden green 🤣Masculine. Classic. A bit Christmas. Depth and complexity but still fresh for a winter scent

Great perfume similar to Dior Suavage Elixer but in high quality way.. suitable for all seasons and times, do not overspray as it is strong and last forever.. compliments getter and doesn’t offend anyone

Such a high quality scent. Lasts around 16 hours on my skin. It does smell like sauvage elixir but smoother and blended. This is 10/10 just like sauvage elixir. On my clothes it lasts 3-4 days.

Excellent from Xerjoff, it’s a much cheaper better version of Creed Aventus Absolu! A little Dior Sauvage Elixir too. Projects well in all weather. Could be signature sent worthy. 9.5/10

This stuff is awesome. Incredible performance absolute room filler. Reminds me of a fruiter Dior Sauvage Elixir but much higher quality and without the gross dry down.

My third sampling from the Xerjoff Coffee Break is the most recent entry Golden Green from 2020 (after Golden Dallah and Golden Moka in 2018), which, like the others, has a slightly funky raw coffee vibe with a fairly robust bright and fruity side of juniper, pink pepper, cardamom, and musk. It almost smells tropical, with a guava/mango/papaya vibe that is sweet and green, but there are no such listed notes. It has a resinous side to it, as well, yielding a sort of funky cannabis-meet-fresh coffee center with fruity, sweet, resinous, and semi-spicy aspects to it as well. Overall, it’s pretty agreeable, still being more cold-weather-leaning, like other Coffee Break entries, while, like Golden Moka, being more versatile and year-round-friendly than Golden Dallah. It’s my least favorite of the three Coffee Break offerings, but it’s still quite good, overall, being a quirky, neat mix (like the others) and coming off fairly unique; it does not immediately remind me of any other fragrances. It seems be sold only through the Xerjoff website for €197 for 50ml, in line with the pricing of the other two entries, but not via a US retailer. (Xerjoff ships fairly quickly to the US from Italy, though) 7 out of 10

I blind bought this and wouldn't say i was disappointed as the scent is good and smells of good quality, while being versatile. I was just expecting more based off of the note breakdown. It's a complex but yet fairly fresh, musky scent. Some have commented that it smells like ''classic male cologne'' and i agree. A lot of juniper berries and musks, with some spice and complexity behind the scenes that never penetrates through the freshness, which is artistic, but never groundbreaking. I guess i was hoping for a darker profile with more ''oomph'' to it. 7,5/10. Edit: Half a year later and i find myself reaching for this one often. I think i've started to appreciate it as a creation for itself rather than attach some kind of longing or expectation to it. I appreciate a good Cypriol note and as time has passed, it has developed in full effect within the bottle, as the 'complexity' giving the freshness some edge. Both longevity and sillage are very good. Still not a groundbreaking scent, still smells like classic male cologne, yet indeed appreciated and very versatile. 8,5/10!

was my signature scent last year but sold my bottle yesterday. it IS sexy, but it strongly reminds me of abercrombie and fitch's old classic smell. which, by the way, I actually always liked through my childhood, it's just associated with overspraying to a detrimental extent which is a shame. it smells fucking good. something about it does feel kind of flat for this price point, and I don't get the coffee although I really, really wish I did; it would be a very welcome nuance and expand it for the better. I get a lot of cypriol oil and cardamom, it's pretty concentrated and astringent, which tends to be something I really like for some reason; all of my classic picks (ambre chromatique, the noir 29, gris charnel extrait) have that quality about them. absolute beast projector which is a plus, do not spray more than about twice. I will miss seeing the beautifully designed red bottle on my shelf too

Beautiful masculine scent. Opens with the juniper being prominent - a very green, conifer scent. As it dries down it becomes more woody, spicy and very slightly sweet. Slightly smoky or incense as well. Very nice and quite unique to my nose. Did not detect any gourmand coffee note. If it's there, it must be very subtle or might be more green rather than roasted coffee. In any event, don't get Golden Green expecting a strong roasted coffee note. Performance is excellent all the way around. Longevity was about 12 hours with a skin scent remaining the next day, over 20 hours after initial application. Sillage was also quite good for 2 or 3 hours. Strikes me as pretty versatile - not just limited to cold winter days. Putting Golden Green on my shopping list.

I like Golden Green- it's spicy with the coffee and cardamom taking center stage. It's slightly warm and aromatic. Despite this being marketed as unisex, I personally find this to be very masculine leaning, and personally I would like it more on a man than I did on myself. Golden Green was very well blended, but it wasn't something that was particularly unique. Still, it's very enjoyable and everyone loved it when they smelled it on me. Aromatic, woody and spicy is how I'd describe this scent, and pretty masculine. I like it for a man, it's just not for me.

Beautiful but masculine. I feel that I am wearing male cologne. It is pleasant and aromatic. Juniper berries dominate with cardamon and nutmeg adding green, spicy notes. Far in the background cedar, vetiver and musk smolder with incense. Leather notes and labdanum are also pronounced. Above it all the scent of green coffee hovers. It is very complex and lovely. The entire Golden range is classy, luxurious and pleasurable. Highly recommended. My favourite from the trio remains the Golden Dallah with its cigarette smoke and sweet spices effect.

Spicy and green, I don't see the Christmas market or Sauvage Elixir in this. Reminds me somewhat of Amouage's Journey Man, they share alot of the same notes but Journey is fresher and has some sweetness from tobacco, Golden Green doesn't really. Don't get much coffee either. Still an interesting and unique scent worth trying.

Surprisingly similar with Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial (2011).

The notes listed in this are some of my favorites like juniper, cedar, incense, vetiver, cypriol, and musk. I do sorta like this fragrance, but as others have said, this has designer vibes for some reason. It turns sweet on my skin. Did they sneak tonka into this? 🫤. It does get more niche as time goes on but there's not major transitions. I find the cardamom and sweet note to be most prominent, the other notes (including coffee) are very faint. If you're a cardamom lover, this may be right up your alley. Scent 5/10 Performance 9/10

In the depths of this scent is something very intriguing, like if dark cocoa became a freshie. However, this scent is a pine-needle bomb. You have to dig far through the car air freshener to tease out the dark green coffee woodsy-ness thats in there. I feel like I stuck my head straight into pine and juniper trees. This is a whole coniferous evergreen forest, and then right at the end a slight dark cocoa twist that is honestly very nice, but fleeting. If the pine needles were turned down two notches, I'd love this. 8.0/10

I got a green spice market as well, but it opened up a little too strong for me. Not my cup of tea, I felt like I was drowning in the scent despite the few sprays. I would love to smell this in the air or an older gentleman though, as long as it wasn't as strong as I felt it was on me (2 sprays back of the neck).

It was unfortunate blind buy for me. Totally agree with the comment below my (Inenell). It’s woody and smoky on my skin. I don’t find it interesting or worth attention.

Can be a perfect man signature scent

Winter holiday fragrance...strong masculine lean. Opens with piney/green notes (to my smells like shopping for Christmas trees), dry down has cardamom, raw coffee and warm spicy, smoky and some animalic notes. Good sillage, long lasting +6 hrs on my wrist. Very heavy and intense. Would make for a nice candle scent. Not for me. Still searching for something from this house that I like...no luck as of yet.

Golden Green is sophisticated in a 90s fashion. The coffee note doesn't add any gourmand qualities to this fragrance whatsoever, but instead adds depth and further mystery to the composition. I am not saying that this fragrance is dated, but it is very formal however and extremely well done. This could easily pass as a Tom Ford release, as it's done in that fashion. Before Lauder's involvement of course. It's classic, yet modern. Much emphasis on the cardamom, leather and vetiver. The animalic notes were integrated prospectively, because this dries down without losing its initial personality. I see the importance of the role each note plays here. Golden Green is the matured older brother of Golden Mocha, as they have almost nothing in common other than a few rearranged notes and the unmistakable presence of coffee. They are quite literally night and day, but I personally find Golden Green more complex and enjoyable as it unfolds; and quite suspenseful if I'm to be honest. If you're in search of a GROWN & sexy, this will stand out in your collection effortlessly.

To put this one simply... sweet and spicy burning wood. No idea what kind of coffee some of y'all have smelled or tasted before, but I'm sorry this just isnt a coffee-lovers coffee. Pay attention to woody, warm spicy, and smoky in the main accords listed above. Would be a great frag to wear in the dead of winter with a fire pit roaring outside. Maybe even a Christmas scent profile, because Golden Green definitely captures the sweet, smoky embers vibe that I associate with that particular holiday

I could not understand what fragrance this reminds me of, it was driving me insane until I FINALLY remembered! it smells like a woodier version of DOLCE AMALFI! Right off the bat, it has that sickly sweet bubblegum scent that dolce Amalfi has, however in Golden Green it's slightly woodier and nuttier. In fact, Golden Green is Dolce Amalfi mixed in with a spray of Golden Dallah - very sweet and gourmand. Personally, I get massive headache from it but It's a very very interesting scent!

Some fragrances transport me to the holidays and this is one of them. Smooth masculine and a designer-type fragrance with a hefty dose of nagarmotha to throw that a bit off and make it more unique. All in all worth picking up if you like the xerjoff style. More reasonably priced online. After wearing it a few more times I have to admit that this is awesome. It's interesting and warm and cozy. I wish I could have gotten this in 100ml. The bottle is gorgeous.

It's green and leathery spicey and at the same time musky. It also has coffee infused. I don't smell the coffee yet though. I'm sure I will later pick it up. Xerjoff just wanted to make something lovely Let me alert you that this thing is long lasting. Not at all cloying but very long lasting. I still smelt it on my shirt in the closet 36hrs after hanging it. Its Golden Green from the Coffee Break Series by Xerjoff.

It s 80% Narciso Rodriguez pour Homme with some green elements. This is edit after a second try. It's worse than Narciso Rodriguez. It's so y2k juvenile uninteresting...Narciso is much better

A fresh blast of green heavy on the juniper. Dries down to a winter forest green spice..no coffee for me. Lasted about 3 to 4 hours. A great winter green fragrance for the holidays.

First impression. Golden Green gives me assosiations to two other fragrances. In the top notes Malle’s French lover. In the base Interlude Man. It is a green beast.

Aromatic fougere, leaning sporty-salty but with a spicy cardamom, pepper & patchouli backbone. Not my thing but interesting concept.
