Harrods Emerald Star

Great easy to read scent. What you see in the notes listed above is all there. Little is left to imagination but the best part is balance. It's incredible. No note pushes out, it's very unisex. Perfect for fall-spring seasons. Scent of candied dates mxed with artimitia bitternes is a very relaxing combination. Sweet, green, herbal. Absolute love!

A breathtakingly beautiful and simple Oriental gourmand. The perfume opens with a beautiful natural accord of dates and moves to a herbal heart mainly comprised of artemisia before settling into a powdery base of musk and amber. This is a simple but nuanced composition and the unisex perfume mostly stays close to the skin and lasts a long time. The air it exudes is of peace and contentment. I love to wear this when I travel. It has a serene and calming effect. Enjoy!

Sergio Momo presents his Xerjoff fragrance in a special Harrods Salon de Parfums store and in honor of its opening he launched a perfume especially for Harrods, called Harrods Emerald Stars. The fragrance arrives in a luxurious bottle made of heavy glass in dark emerald color, crowned by a golden cap. The composition is very unusual and seductive, offering a mix of sweet date-fruit, mugwort, warm amber and creamy musk." [Harrods/Xerjoff] Emerald Star is a sweet, dark green but fresh and soft fragrance and a slight spicy touch that reminds me of something like a green and fresh cardamom. Super soft velvety perfume like the meat of the most tender and sweet Medjool Date. Now the most striking is the green herbal part of mugwort, which brings a bitter aspect to the perfume, contrasting all the time with the sweetness of the date and amber, but without colliding at any time, but coming together to make the perfume a beautiful 'Bitter/Sweet Paradox'! Clean, creamy musk bolsters your gourmet pleasantness. Fragrance Date, Herbal, Amber, Sweet, Musky ... somewhat linear but quite pleasant and versatile. A delicious juicy perfume with good performance on my skin to my nose. Best interpretation of date I've ever tried in perfumery.

It is a reminder to me how privileged I am to experience a scent whilst enjoying the company of others who share a common passion. Watching them express their delight in using their olfactory senses will remain with me forever. I could easily separate the warm dense smelling fruit of the Date Palm, coupled with a distinctive high quality of Artemisia where it's delicate bitterness helps separate the sweet and fruity notes throughout the fragrance. I am amazed how the Amber and sumptuous Musk in the base lingered the longest any combination has on me, especially as I struggle to smell synthetic musks. Initially, the strength of the fragrance is enormous, but it gently calms down and as I smell softly my skin more than 48 hours later (deliberately not washed my forearm to see just how long it lasts), close to the skin, I am still able to gently enjoy this new scent from Xerjoff. At all times since first sprayed on my arm it has subtly wafted it's magic through my brain. For me it is a joy to smell, plus it will be a pleasure to own and share as it takes my mind and spirit away to people and places I cherish most.

yes it is an amazing dates fragrance! i loved this scent from the first ever spray i had. it is gently weird and amazingly elegant. it has that amazing shy sweetish vibe, velvet materialism, and hunger for attention. what made it really amazing is that it mingled with my skin very effectively in away that really made me changed my mind towards Xerjoff! another amazing fragrance. Edit (2nd June 2015) unfortunately this fragrance turns into the disturbing Saffrone note at the base note as this by itself will make me put this amazing top notes fragrance into my prohibited list. i was very disappointed after testing it, i thought it was my imagination or the plotter was mixed with another fragrance but nope... the saffrone was there shown crystal clear, and that disturbs my senses :(

This is an absolutely splendid fragrance. Divine. I was very much reluctant to spend such a sum on a scent and yet I do not regret this in the slightest. For the past month, I have worn it daily - this includes 30 Celsius plus weather. It is just sumptuous. The review below mine exemplifies emerald star, but I just had to add my thoughts. Is it worth the money? To me, absolutely. I previously remarked that I’d never rebuy any fragrance I own; I felt doing so would be crass when there is such a wealth of incredible perfumery waiting to be discovered. This, though, I look forward to rebuying!

Dates and artemisia dance together in an accord that I havnt smelt before. I quire like it. Projects and stays around. Quite versatile.
