Jãbir by Xerjoff: a hidden masterpiece, a true homage! Extremely well constructed, it tells a story from start to finish. Its floral side is super expansive and extremely refined, the purest Xerjoff DNA from its golden years. Out of everything I have ever tested and smelled, it seems to be truly unique and perfect. It is a dense fragrance due to the Laotian Oud, yet it has a floral aspect so appealing and well crafted that during its expansion it emanates an almost solar sensation. The feeling is like waking up early, with the sun at the beginning of spring, in a very floral and humid garden. You feel the earth and organic compost that the Oud evokes, yet it is not challenging at all. Suddenly the sun emerges, emanating light. Perhaps here is an allusion between knowledge and its comprehension, the emergence of light evoking knowledge over the darkness of the Oud. However, once again, it is a very creamy and easy oud, yet brutally natural, causing the flowers to energize and expand. Jãbir is a masterpiece, a perfume that truly awakens emotions in us. It also seems to speak volumes about the duality between beauty and decay, much like The Moon by Frederic Malle, but in a purer, more translucent and luminous version, as if you were witnessing the conclusions and answers.

This fragrance is definitely stinky at first but underrated. When I first sprayed it, I got vetiver, pepper and a bit of green from the florals. As it dried down the vetiver nearly disappeared and I got mostly florals. After an hour or 2 I got this beautiful honey note which is strange since its not listed. The way this fragrance transforms is addicting and beautiful much like some of the other stinky fragrances in the K collection. I put this on post shower at around 6 pm, experienced its transformation and went to bed at 10. 8 hours later when I woke up I could still smell that beautiful honey. I got around 12+ hours from it.

Gorgeous ambery floriental, packed with floral notes and nevertheless remaining pretty unisex. Subtle whiffs of oud disappear quite quickly, giving way to sugary bouquet of flowers settled on base of soft patchouli with vetiver and musk. It has a fresh feel to it despite of its sweetness. Blended to perfection with amazing longevity and great projection. Very versatile, but I see myself wearing it on a late-summer evening. My favorite from the Kemi collection.

Very flory and with great complexity. Definitely barnyard style oud (Laotian fermantated oud I guess) in dry down with beautiful oriental flowers scents. It reminds me The Night from Federic Malle, not the same but in the same direction. Big rose in there, the oud I just think it is of the same level with The Night or Satin/Silk Mood Oud extraict. I like it! But in general Xerjoff is too expensive for me. I reached a sample just to test.

The flowers are livelier (fresher & more natural) than what I remembered from the original bottle; this is a beautiful & complex floral oud that's quite tame compared to other barnyard "beasts"!

I expected more of a stinky oud, it is definitely skanky but not stinky. I was expecting Al-Khatt levels which actually legit smells like a goat took a shit next to you. The florals blend nicely with the Laotian oud but it’s definitely not for me scent wise. Performance is very good though. Stop by my TikTok for some fragrance content: nerolicannoli

Animalic, but, not as bad as Al-Khatt Dry down is great ...the oud note goes away and you left with mostly Lilly of the valley scent. Could be worn in spring Time, reminds me of Jour D'Hermes or one of the Chanel Chance flanker . I could even see this wearing in in summer night due to fresh floral notes

#995 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant. This is the same Kemi Blending Magic "Jabir" scent brought over unchanged in the Xerjoff acquisition of Kemi. As a mergers and acquisitions guy I thought it was an acquisition done right. So often the big guys acquire the little guys just to kill the product line and eliminate the competition, which in the fragrance world seems a stupid reason to buy out a house, but groups like L'Oreal seem to do it a lot. A thousand curses on them for killing Thiery Mugler's great male fragrances. If you like traditional Middle East rose and oud scents you'll probably love this. The fermented Laotian ouds are an acquired taste I haven't acquired, and I'll never be a fan of Bulgarian rose or rose notes in general, so this scent isn't my jam. Like many traditional Middle Eastern creations, it's just heavy and floral for me. But the people saying this smells like manure have clearly never shoveled out their Uncle Bob's barns. It does not smell anything like that. But it does have a hint of wet hay to my nose that I often smell when vetiver and Laotian oud are combined. All in all it's a very high quality fragrance for cold weather I think. No one will accuse this of poor performance, but this is not car pool, elevator or office safe unless you are in an office in Dubai or Qatar. My company held some marketing meetings in Dubai and Qatar and this kind of scent was everywhere. But it's not something the women in my world are going to want to smell on me, so I'll pass on this one. But this is the first Kemi creation I haven't loved and I have a few more to try.

Floral forward, rose dominant fragrance. I don't get much else. Not bad but not what I would expect from the note pyramid.

This pure Arabian oud perfume has captivated me completely. It embodies the essence of Arabic Oud Oil and evokes fond memories of traditional Arabic perfumes from Al Jazeera. The fragrance is an exquisite blend of pure flowers and rich Arabic scents, creating an aroma that is both sophisticated and authentic. While I understand that people from other parts of the world, outside the Arab and GCC regions, might not appreciate the unique allure of oud oil as much as we do, to me, it is simply divine. This purchase has been absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t be happier with it. _______ Update I am currently using this perfume and still love it. I’ve changed my mind about it being purely Arabic oud oil. I now believe this perfume is a combination of flowers with an addition of musk deer. This combination is likely why some people say it smells unpleasant, as even a family member mentioned that the musk deer component is what gives it a strong odor. ___ update I understand why some people compare this scent to something unpleasant. Initially, I tried to give the perfume a fair chance, but the more I used it, the more it started to remind me of an off-putting smell. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me, and I found it increasingly difficult to enjoy wearing it, ultimately feeling like it had a strong, unpleasant undertone

Ohhhhh yeah this smells like you pooped and then peed on it. Pretty impressive recreation of that scent though.

I just got this as a sample after buying a parfume from internet. Sending this as a sample is such a disrespectful behaviour. Once I got a first piece of smell I thought I was in animal farm that has not cleaned for centuries. My wife said she could divorce me if I wear this on daily basis. Anyway people buying this don’t have self respect! This fragrance simply carries manure notes.

Here I am mincing for words to describe this monstrosity. The opening smells like a very smelly trip to the bathroom. If it were a color it would be deep brown after a night of heavy drinking. Can’t believe there are people who would pay a fortune to smell like poo !!

What the hell is this?? I went to smell it at a boutique and holy hell this is the worst smell i ever smelled!! To me it literally smells like a baby’s diaper with poop in it. Oh my god

Received a sample. I'm with @parisienne here, I'm shocked but yes, it smells like poo. I've disliked fragrances before but this is the first time I'm seriously wanting to wash it off instead to let it at least 30 minutes and see if it changes. It has been like 15 minutes and about to check my underwear, maybe I actually had an accident and I'm blaming the fragrance??? The first time I smelled I swear I checked my nails wondering if maybe I fucked it up last time I went to the bathroom, the notes look nice, why is this smelling like pig manure?

I, quite unabashedly, love rose dominant scents. And, I have quite a few truly beautiful rose scents to compare this to. This is definitely in my Top 5 rose scents of all time. However, I will say: if you have a low tolerance for any sort of scantiness, this is not for you. This is gloriously skanky. It is not for the faint of heart. But, it is a dark, decadently jammy rose that is absolutely beautiful.
