The main takeaway I get from this Perfume both in its composition and the feeling it gives me is to relax, and for that reason, I'd say i enjoy it more now, than compared to when I first smellt it and took it super seriously. It opens up with a nice gourmand and photorealistic strawberry covered I'm caramel with a nice peach behind it, but sadly the opening fades rather quickly, and is replaced by what the grand majority of the scent profile is, which is a soft Leathery-Amber-Strawberry fragrance on my skin. Much of the sweetness from the opening uprubdtly leaves after the first minutes of transitioning into the mid, but the strawberry still remains as a sweet albeit rather muted and tamed sweetness compared to the opening, that works with the amber to smooth out the Leather and make a very laid back fragrance overall, I do also get a little bit of vanilla and spicyness but it's very far in the back and only becomes much more identifiable the longer I the dry down it goes. I'd say this is a good all year round fragrance aside from super hot days, and it's perfect for both formal and casual occasions, in terms of projection I got strong projection for the first hour but it then became a mainly medium projecting scent, though I should note that the Strawberry itself despite being a main note is "subtle" despite its projection if that makes sense?, in terms of longevity I get around 7-8 hours Oh and I reckon this perfectly unisex too, it incorporates feminine and masculine elements pretty well it make it wearable for both genders. Overall I'd say it's one of my favourites from Xerjoff, I'd have to try this again in the future to see if its full bottle worthy but its definitely a consideration of mine, I'd say if you saw this fragrance not as a mainly gourmand, or a mainly Leather fragrance, or even something inbetween them, but instead as something of its own I believe you could enjoy it more, which is how i came around to go from liking to loving it, most definitely worth a try in my humble opinion. Final Verdict is a 8.5/10

So Fragrantica is a little late to the party on this one. This was originally released as an exclusive to the Moscow Xerjoff Boutique before being re-released as a limited run on the Xerjoff Universe website. This is Sergio Momo's love letter to Moscow and the Russian market for its early support of his brand. It takes parts of 3 of the most popular Xerjoff creations in the Russian market and combines them to create something new and unique. The strawberry/fruity sweetness of Sospiro's Erba Pura is combined with the spiced vanilla of Bouquet Ideale and the approachable oud base of Alexandria II to create La Capitale. I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of this about a week and a half after it's original release in Moscow. This is sweet and powerful enough to wear in colder weather, but I think it really shows it's full potential in the heat of summer. This opens with a blast of sweetness from the strawberry and caramel that could possibly turn some people away from this fragrance but the oud, leather, and bourbon vanilla in the drydown add very nice depth and complexity to the scent. The sweet opening leans feminine but after about 20 minutes this definitely settles into a unisex fragrance. Longevity is excellent, projection is strong for the first few hours before settling to about an arms length, and this leaves a strong trail for most of its lifespan. Since this is no longer available on Xerjoff Universe, I cant really recommend a blind buy as I'm sure prices will begin to rise as this gets harder to acquire. But if found at a fair price point, this is a fairly safe buy for anyone that enjoys the sweetness of Erba Pura or the dry, safe oud of Alexandria II.

First impressions: woahhhh.. this is a fresh, syrupy sweet, REAL strawberry with the sexiest caramel and leather twist.. might be the most realistic and highest quality strawberry I’ve ever smelled. Sooo SEXYYYYY!.. and the way all of the notes are intermingling?? I’m in LOVE.. oh godddd I gotta stop smelling these niche perfumes because I’m gonna be broke.. love love love LOVE! I need this asap.. got a sample at Neiman's so I will def go more in depth after testing this out more <3 Edit: I’m in love with this. Addictive, SEXY strawberry caramel syrup.. that you accidentally spilled on your beautiful and luxurious leather trench coat.. but you love it because it lets everyone know who you are. Veryyyy femme fatale vibes. Longevity and sillage are impressive too. Did this just become my favorite strawberry perfume?? Based off the notes I expected to like this for the most part, but was skeptical about the leather note because I don’t typically like leathery notes in perfume.. well I’ve never smelled it like this before and now I’m reconsidering if I actually dislike it as much as I thought.. clearly not! I’m sure much of that is thanks to this having strawberry, caramel, and vanilla.. 3 of my favorite notes of all time lol.. anyways this is just unbelievably alluring and enchanting and mesmeric. Wow

Xerjoff La Capitale, I blind bought this fragrance, like a lot of others purely based off the accords and notes that fragrantica listed, the delivery time was pretty quick and the presentation was absolutely beautiful like all the other Xerjoff fragrances, when I opened up the packaging to reveal the bottle I was blown away by how beautiful it was. the deep gold yellow color inside of the sleek infamous Xerjoff bottle was breathtaking. Words can't describe how excited I was to smell this based off the Notes I had seen. I first sprayed it, and I was a little indecisive on if I liked it or not, but I gave it some time to dry down and when I tell you that this fragrance when it dries down might be one of the most beautiful scents to ever bless your nostrils, I mean it. this fragrance is an explosion of strawberry and caramel with a nice touch of leather with just enough peach, amber, and vanilla to let you know that they're there. I was overjoyed and relieved that this blind buy worked out. not only that but the silage and longevity are very above average and although it is expensive and not the biggest bottle, I 100% think it was worth it and would've paid even more than the $250 price tag.

this perfume is something. Few things Id like to give my opinion on. 1. It is NOT too feminine. Yes its super gourmand and fruity, but I get just enough leather in there to make it smell masculine enough. Its definitely in the unisex territory. 2. To me, this is an all year scent. Yes its gourmand, but the strawberry is so juicy that I wear this in summer as well. Maybe not in an extremely hot day, but on an average summer day I totally wear this. the caramel is definitely there, but the strawberry is juicy, I wouldnt say its cloying. 3. Ive heard people say this is like a strawberry cheesecake. I disagree. Maybe after 20 mins of dry down it gets a bit more cheesecakey, but to me, the strawberry is so juicy that it smels more like strawberry and caramel syrup put together. I dont know how to describe but I dont get warmth from the strawberry, I get juicyness. Performance is great, I get 6-8 hours from this. If youre a strawberry fan, you can definitely daily this, but its best for special occasions. Then again, if you like strawberry I can absolutely see someone rocking this daily.

This is the first niche I've bought, and it's been a long time coming. I first smelt it about a year ago and immediately fell in love with it. I don't quite get the arguments that it falls too feminine, for me it's a perfect unisex fragrance. The opening is a powerful fruity scent, but not in the way that Erba Pura does it. It's a much more refined fruitiness, with a light floaty vibe, unlike the heavy and foreboding fruit basket smell of Erba Pura. It dries down into a great almost aromatic floral scent with a great leather base, which in my opinion keeps it just unisex enough for most men to wear it. Even if it leans more feminine, I think most men can pull it off if they're confident with it. Performance is strong, last's through my school day with good projection. Smells great even in summer, though you will need to go lighter on the sprays. 9.5/10, great entry into niche unisex fragrances, wish it came in an 100ml

I certainly don't smell any Agarwood (Oud) notes in here (I think some people might be confusing the leather/labdanum notes for Oud, which smells much darker, muskier and more "masculine"--which this isn't). It's not very "dark", I agree. If that's what you're looking for, I personally prefer Duchessa; somewhat similar to this with the sweet/saffron combo, but she's La Capitale's slightly older, vampy sister. If you're not so into the femme fatale fragrances but still want a sweet-sexy fragrance for the evenings, this would be a great choice. To me, this is like a sweet, synthetic leather-scented interpretation of a handbag. It's nice. Kinda strange, but to be expected from niche. Starts sweet, then gets leathery and almost musk-like. Somewhat headache inducing, though. Good projection. While I can see the appeal, I don't think I'll be reaching for this any time soon. 8/10

Wonderful fragrance. The opening is fruity, sharp and powerful. Blast of strawberrys and caramel. The strawberry note is done to perfection, as it isnt synthetic or ridiculousy sweet. Its has a realistic smell as if you squeezed a perfect red strawberry. The dry down is different, and absolutly gorgeous. The leather blends in perfectly with the fruits and the caramel, and gives the fragrance an depth. It is also the leather note that makes this fragrance unisex, and not totaly femenine. I would recomend wearing this scent on evenings, both in summer and winter nights. But not when its very hot outside, cause then it could be to strong and in your face. For performance, i get around 8 hours when it projects strong on my skin. But after 24 hours, i can still smell it on my hand for example if i put it there.

So here's how the story goes. Got my Xerjoff order at 6:45 PM, and I got excited because of the free samples. It's so weird and funny sometimes. I can't be the only one who gets more excited over samples than the full bottles :). Anyway: "Oh, cool, La Capitale; I've been wanting to try that." I spray it on around 6:50-ish. At 11:45 PM I get out of bed cursing at Chris Maurice (who is bleeding my account, btw) and pull out my credit card. Not only is this full bottle worthy, but this is your other backup bottle to your backup bottle worthy. This just left me speechless. I don't have anything like this and all I know is that I want more of it. This is sweet, warm, flirtatious, seemingly innoucous with a little bit of somethin' something hidden underneath. 9/10...10/10...11/10....I don't know...just stellar

This is magnificent perfume! I been into perfumes for many years by now and La Capitale is first perfume i feel like its me in a bottle! Ive own this for a while now and i can confidently say that this is my signature scent. La Capitale is amazingly blended sweet perfume, oud and leather gives it body and makes it unique. Ive never smelled anything like this before. It got masculine edge but its a quite feminine fragrance imo. When wearing this i feel confident and well-groomed. La Capitale is expensive smelling perfume. Im wearing it year around but mostly i use this in fall and winter times. This is heavy perfume, might get to cloying in the summer heat. Im happy that i found this masterpiece of a perfume!

Obviously not everyone’s idea of this fragrance but this is genuinely my favorite fragrance I have ever smelled so far. As someone who doesn’t like leather that much in fragrances this is done perfectly. With the notes being full of sweetness, it would be expected to be a feminine. Instead it is balanced because of the leather. You get a very realistic strawberry and peach but the strawberry really takes the reins. While the strawberry and peach are nice and sweet the leather and caramel combine to make a sweet and very elegant leather scent that keeps it from being overbearingly sweet. The quality is very much there. It is one of those scent you just have to smell when you can. 10/10 perfection.

I’ve been dying to try this for almost 2 years now. I finally did get a sample but was too small to really get the full wear, but it did smell pretty good(perfectly unisex btw). A few weeks later I bought a bigger decant of this and the first day of wearing it out, no kidding, I get 5 compliments within 4 hours of applying it. I was lowkey geeked ngl, because I never get compliments likes that. I also wasn’t really expecting it to smell how it does. It smells like a strawberry milkshake with caramel drizzle next to some roses. Would’ve loved to have the full bottle but summer is around the corner and this fits every season....but summer Update: I just got another compliment

someone wrote la capitale wants to be burberry her but its like plastic. with all respect, don't bother to buy expensive perfumes, cuz its obvious you don't have a skilled nose to appreciate a good smell with high quality. la capital is a gem, playful and sweet. one of the very few fragrances that does smell like strawberries without being synthetic at all. it's well balanced, despite being fruity and sweet, after a few minutes a wonderful smooth leather note appears. this leathery note (besides the quality of the components) differentiates this lovely yet complex perfume from the rest of those people pleaser designer ones like burberry her

This is my favourite fragrance, it's that good I bought a back up bottle. I am a male fragrance reviewer on Tiktok (Strong Style Fragrances) and I've put lots of guys on to this fragrance, it's 100% unisex, The people who think this fragrance is too feminine are the same people who think Lataffa Khamrah and Instant Crush are too feminine so if you can't pull them off you've got no chance with this one. If you're a guy who can wear Erba Pura then you'll have absolutely no problem with this one, this is more masculine then that in my opinion. THis is what Erba Pura would be if it was more winter oriented as well as less synthetic. This opens up with an illustrious strawberry and caramel combination that smells exquisite, and dries down with a synthetic-y oud that is clean but still bold, as well as a leather coat type leather. This smells exactly like warm caramel dipped in strawberries that was dropped on a leather jacket. Final rankings: Smell 9/10 Performance 8/10 (can get cloying and be nauseating in large doses) Bottle/Presentation 10/10 Price 7/10 Uniqueness 10/10 Overall 9/10 Very good but definitely has feminine aspects as well as cloying aspects!

Sweet strawberry but not a photorealistic representation. Instead this reminds me of those scratch n sniff strawberry stickers or perhaps strawberry lip gloss. But here Xerjoff has smoothed out any harshness. Leather and rose lend a softness but are kept in the background to support the strawberry. This hits with waves of childhood nostalgia and depending on your upbringing you could love or hate this. I find most people gravitate towards it and find it quite alluring. Also, I don't pick up much oud or any 'dark' notes. If that's what you're after then ATH Hardy Candy is a better option.

I TOTALLY disagree with anyone that says someone is being paid to promote this brand. Sure, she may have skin in the game, but for good reason. Their scents are of the highest quality and if some people don't recognize that, then it is you whom does not understand great fragrances. Being the perfume addict I am, I can tell you La Capitale is of the highest quality and worth every penny. Such a beautiful, laid back but powerful scent. It smells as expensive as a perfume can get. High class and utterly gorgeous. I do recommend trying a sample, but it will NOT disappoint.

It seriously confuses me as to what this fragrance is trying to do, but whatever it is, it does it well. The fragrance starts off with a floral strawberry-leather note, before switching to a soft fruity and floral amber, then ending with a leather amber note. It's definitely something that has never been seen before in a fragrance, but it is executed well and came out smooth. One of the best Xerjoff fragrances ever. 9.3/10
