MV Agusta

Oh. My. To me this is a piece of art, a must have in my collection, and I'm squeezing up to the last drop of this sample I have. The MotoGP is hot rubber sticking to the asphalt underneath, supporting a stunning dance of precision machines on top. Xerjoff MV Agusta is the darkness of leather, patchouli and incense giving power underneath an elegant layer of flowers and cloves. As a 2 wheel lover, I am seriously attracted to the legacy of MV Agusta in the motorcycle world: Power combined with class, a beating engine and precision engineering. Seducing machines that project class wherever they go by, and Xerjoff captured this perfectly, making you feel like the king of the room. I swear I don't want to dress up anymore without wearing this (it instantly dethroned Black orchid as my suit scent). I don't get why some comments below talk about cars, since this perfume is inspired from MotoGP, maybe tricked by the word motorsports? Performance and projection are out of this world, which turns this tiny 50ml bottle into a 100ml equivalent. It will last for years. Sadly, as it happens with MV Agusta motorcycles, the pricetag here is quite high, but I'm excited to wait for the first chance I have to go full bottle, because this will be my wedding scent. Edit: This bottle went from 230€ to 275€ from one day to another? I really want this but they're making it a tougher decision

If sex was a scent, this is what it would smell like! Imagine a cool evening after a warm summer day. You are in a cozy apartment in downton, sitting in a dark and moody room with old timber floors. The window is half-open and a cool breeze coming through the dancing curtains. You're sitting in a worn-out leather armchair made of cedar wood. She is wearing a sexy leather lingerie, sitting on top of you, sipping from a glass of rum & passing it to you from her mouth. She spills it on her leather lingerie & the couch. A few drops make their way to the old timber floors. You are tipsy, your hearts are racing & blood is rushing through your veins. She goes down to kiss & lick you all over your neck & chest. The smell of the cognac-doused leather & wet cedar wood mixes with her make up powder & luxurious lipstick and her spit drying on your skin. The warmth of your bodies rubbing together & clean sweat intensifies the scents. The cool breeze brings in the scent of the nearby bergamot trees & the bouquet of iris flowers you put next to the window for her. The blow of the wind blends all the scents into a beautiful concoction & brings it up to your nose. That's the smell of MV Augusta. This is an amazing creation, even by Xerjoff's high standards. I have 13 fragrances from this house and I'd easily put MV Austa on my top 3.

I requested a sample of this fragrance from Xerjoff with purchase. I wanted to see if my boyfriend , who is a huge "car guy", would love it. When he tried it he said it was too feminine for him. What? This? No way! It's supposed to smell like a car!... I thought... So I tried it.... And yes, it's supple leather, powdery iris, touch of incense and honey like sweetness... Heaven... For me! It went straight to the top of my "Birthday wish list"... I think Xerjoff did a great job tricking our minds to look for a car smell by describing Agusta as fragrance that pays tribute to the world of motorsport and racing and putting it in an awesome carbon-fiber-like bottle... I think that if the bottle was pink and the name of it was like... oh I don't know... Paulina, we all would smell expensive, leather bag, filled with powder, you know, that Guerlain type, iris scented one... I am not questioning how people experience this fragrance, what I am trying to say is: Ladies! Do not shy away from Agusta! Give it a try! It's elegant, soft, sweet, leathery, unisex, leaning feminine. To me it's an instant classic, along with Pikovaya Dama, Richwood and Irisss... But at the same time, if someone told me that I smell like a brand new Lamborghini I wouldn't be offended... :) Love it!!!

This beautiful Carbon black outer shell bottle with the MV logo on it is the new Xerjoff tribute to their partnership in the MotoGP season for the second year running. A unique creation that evokes the world of motorsport and racing on circuits all over the world. The fragrance begins with a bright, effervescent Calabrian Bergamot mixed with a subtle cloves and a surprising rubber note combined with a beautiful airy and light incense. Then, the flowery notes of Iris and Ylang-Ylang came to play to give a sweet and buttery facette to the fragrance. The base notes are dominated by a luxury car Leather or Suede combined with musk, Tonka bean and Labdanum. A great buttery flowery non animalic leather fragrance. The blending is really well done as Xerjoff usually do and to me they created another beautiful, elegant and unique fragrance that will not leave you indifferent if you are a a true leather fan and if you like fragrances like Pikovaya Dama, 17/17 Irisss or Cuir de Russie by Chanel. A great manly scent to wear well dressed on a date preferably on fresh nights of Winter. A winner in my book. Good job!

I tried this in the summer and did not really care much about it, but now in the winter this fragrance is best to wear – the opening is not my favorite part of the smell – the bergamot combined with the cloves makes it almost medicinal, and if I would to judge this fragrance only on its opening, my rating would be low – but the magic starts with the dry down, the leather accord starts to play combined with a soft touch of florals ( ylang ylang - I don't get much Iris to be honest - maybe it's a different kind of Iris, not the one so prominent these days in Dior, Valentino, Givenchy and Narciso Rodriguez ) there is a certain sweetness in the perfume, this could be from the labdanum combined with the patchouli - almost of hint of petrol – the incense is not prominent ( not to my nose ) it smells kind of strangely unique, a little sexy but this is personally - nothing in my broad collection smells like this and I am still guessing if this is mass appealing or not

Alright fellas, that is an absolute leather,iris and incense lovers dream come true. This scent is magnificent and I'm amazed with the quality overall. Starting from the presentation and the phenomenal sexy looking bottle till the juice itself. It opens with slightly fresh bergamot and a very harsh incense mixed with cloves which I think is the key player to give the tire or burning rubber feel. After 5 minutes or so, in the mid this rubber feeling fades away and the leather, ylang ylang, labdanum starts to shine strongly. Going to the dry down the leather take a back seat and the iris becomes the number 1 prominent note. However, the leather is there and dominant through the whole fragrance life. If you like leather and iris you're in heaven elsewise I don't recommend this scent. Cheers

Honestly I didn't expect much about this one. I just bought it because of that gorgeous carbon fiber bottle. But surprisingly this is by far one of the best Xerjoff's ever created in my opinion. MV Agusta is a great take on leather scent. The combo of bergamot, iris, leather, and ylang-ylang is super well done. Its scintillatingly smokiness do evoke burnt tyres, not in your face but very pleasant - thank you to the semi-sweetness. And its ultra smoothness provides a luxurious sensuality of refined suede leather. The performance is also excellent. Definitely masculine. Very special and phenomenal ★★★★★

All I can say is "WOW"!!! Xerjoff's latest offering - MV Agusta is absolutely awesome. Classic yet modern, this is a very very good luxurious buttery leather scent. The smoky leather here is not animalic at all but it's still deep and complex enough to make you look sexy and elegant. On my skin, Ylang-Ylang shines so beautifully but it's still musculine with a soft undertone of spicy cloves and a little bit of patchouli and labdanum. Same to Apollonia - incredible presentation, top-notch quality ingredients, excellent blending...what more could one ask for?

This gorgeous buttery leather is somewhere between the sticky-meaty Cuir Mauresque & the powdery-floral Cuir Cannage; it does not resemble anything Tom Ford, and I'd gladly get it once I run out of the discontinued Dior.

This one was surprisingly very nostalgic! Opens up syrupy sweet like children's cough medicine, but after ~10 minutes the sweetness dissipates some to give way to a robust leather and labdanum. Most of the concept and advertising behind this one is motorcycles at top speed, which evokes burnt rubber and asphalt. But for me, the iris sticks around long enough in the middle to keep the leather fresh and virginal. After a few hours, the drydown is all rich labdanum, incense, and pachouli, and it sticks on skin and clothes until you wash it off in the shower. A scene: Your parents take you to Toys 'R Us one summer weekend. Your excitement is unbearable, as you have your sights set on one thing, and one thing only: your very first bike without training wheels. Through scraped knees and elbow bruises from the many trials sans training wheels at the park, you've suffered enough to deserve this bike, and your parents finally agree. Toys 'R Us does not come without its temptations, however! You keep your blinders on as you march through the candy section at the front, past the alluring new Lego sets and action figures, straight to the widest section in the back of the store, where bikes hang above you like meat at the butcher shop. The scents of sweets and new plastic have followed you back and fill the air like sirens beckoning. As you and your mom gaze up at the shiny bikes above, your dad says he "forgot something in the car" and leaves the store. After a thorough search, you've found it: a glossy cool blue bike with a matching helmet. The clerk pulls it down from the rafters and lets you ride around the aisles a bit, but in truth, it was love at first sight. You're just showboating at this point. You check out and meet your dad outside, the cigarette he's just had cloying to his clothes. You point to your newest toy and exclaim "Look what I got!" and he beams back at you. The the car ride home smells like sweet rubber, Marlboro Reds and a summer full of limitless potential.

Imagine you just bought a new Bugatti or Lamborghini for yourself and just entered it for the first time and grabbed the wheel and think to yourself "I did it, my hard work paid off, I deserve something premium & fancy.". That's that scent. Luxury & premium leather car interior! Very masculine. Only a CEO/boss-bitch woman would be able to pull that one off. It's been quite a while since I've been impressed by a scent. This is art in a bottle and I'm still speecheless. So yea, it's good. But keep in mind, you won't get to wear this often.

Essentially this is an aldehydic perfume layered with many other notes for complexity that I won't mention because they are overpowered by the strong aldehyde to be noticeable. The blending is ultra smooth and smell very luxurious. Unfortunately it get close to skin very fast before I can fully enjoy the experience 🙏 Quite surprise because from the vial I tested it's way far from the description that supposedly a leathery dominant scent. For the best aldehydic perfume I recommend trying ROJA A Goodnight Kiss and Fragrance Du Bois Heritage (Heritage most likely reformulated but smell wise it's divine)

Was expecting a very leather smokey fragrance, given it is meant to the MV Augusta moto racing Instead, I got an overdose of aldehydes, just like XJ Homme, which stayed the whole team, and a very faint leather. Not bad, but disappointing.

This smells like someone took a leather car interior and doused it in gasoline. It's a chokingly strong, skanky leather and that's about it. The clove is noticeable too but the other notes mostly get drowned out by that overwhelming gassy leather. If you're all about that, great! It's not for me, though. Considering it's a collaboration with Moto GP I'd say Xerjoff accomplished their goal with flying colors, but does it smell pleasant? Absolutely not. Nuclear projection for 2-3hr, but I only get 6-8hr longevity from it. Burns out quickly, you could say.

Awesome how they made it appealing and smell like actual tire (unlike Bvlgari black which is gross). Will update with review after full wear. EDIT: I mainly get the leather, then labdanum, then iris. Sweet and slightly rubbery but not at all off putting. Literally like walking into a tire store or bike department of toys r us, but also smells refined, sophisticated, and complex. Very unique. Definitely not a blind buy, but i love how they took a concept, made it exactly as they were aiming for, and also made it an appealing scent.

So, this could be the closes thing to Chanel Antaeus, and that is not an easy job to achieve. I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but I like it a lot. Actually I love it. The drydown is just amazing (that part is eapecially like the older/vintage batches of Antaeus), and the longevity as well as sillage are absolutely outstanding. One of the best winter smells. Not for blind buy. Rating: 9.5/10

No note breakdowns ever coming from me but rather a link to my memory of other scents and for me this is a big reminder of Cuir Pleine Fleur by Heeley. I like this and only have one wear under my belt but see many more to come. As for the tire scent...it really does come through.

I get a Tabac Blonde by Caron feeling after a promising start that is bittersweet leather. I wished the leather was less sweet so it really evokes leather seat of a racing car or even burnt tyres.Instead it is blonde and buttery rather than black and butch.

This one broke my nose. All I get on my skin is powder and iris. Was really looking forward to this being a leather fragrance.
