This one tries to play in the same field as Torino 23, which was not exactly a fan favorite to begin with. P.13 opens with what is supposed to be rose and violet, but it hits more like salon air, that mix of hairspray, talc, and something oddly sulfuric, like a faint whiff of boiled egg that should not be there. That sulfuric tone hangs around for about forty five minutes before it fades. It is not that the idea is bad. White florals, tobacco, vanilla, that combo can be lush and addictive when done right. But here it feels like a half assed attempt by a beginner perfumer trying to mimic a classic structure without understanding balance. The blending feels rushed, uneven, almost careless. I have tried P.18 and P.70 from the same Sketchbook line; they are better, though still nothing to write home about. P.13 smells incomplete, a sketch that stayed a sketch. I also agree with TheNoseNotes review on this one. Honestly, it’s a good thing these were not released to the general public, they’re not nearly as good as the exclusivity suggests. For a bottle this expensive, that is hard to forgive. You are mostly paying for the packaging and the name, not the perfume. If curiosity gets the best of you, sniff it once for the story, but do not expect to fall in love.

So, finally tried the infamous P.13 and...I have to say this is a very high quality ingredient, low risk composition of mostly orange blossom/jasmine/tobacco and vanilla. If Fils de Joie had a baby with Killian's Love Don ́t be shy. After the initial jasmine opening it's mostly Love Don ́t be shy. Or even Guimauve de Nöel 31 from Parle Moi de Parfum...which is basically a more affordable Killian. Neither the materials nor the composition make me think of a reason for the price point. Overall, very glad to have found it to be quite banal - This will tickle the fancy of large pockets, but mostly because it is a limited edition.

I loved P.13, it's flowery and feminine, the tobacco is very faint. The dry down is powdery and complex, with the Peru balsam lingering in the back. Every time you smell layers and layers of different combinations. It was my favourite on the new collection, it is also the one that leans more feminine and that is more my taste.

This ain’t it. What is that dumb string around the bottle? With that color juice this would have been a lot cooler with just that clear bottle and the black cap. I love Xerjoff bottles but this is just a very cringe design....

Finally, something different in terms of bottle. Looks really edgy, hope it smells edgy too. If y'all don't like the bottle or think it isn't classy - just stick to your "classy" bottles and move on.

A more complex and darker take of Torino23. Surprisingly well blended tuberose (don't like the note usually) that here is the star without giving granny vibes.

@grzywo Yup, and Penhaligons has probably the best, classiest bottle designs. The bow tie is their signature thing and it looks awesome.
