Pikovaya Dama

I have been playing around with this for a few days and left review on the site for the more recent bottling. But here I would like to add that to me this leads more masculine because the mid and base notes (ignoring the opening) are kind of like Prada L'Homme (Iris, sandalwood) meets Kilian Straight to Heaven (nutmeg, dried fruits, cedar, vanilla), both male fragrances. The opening lasts 20 minutes and is bright and icy with bergamot, lemon, rose, and aldehydes and at this stage it is kind of unisex, but possibly feminine leading because of Chanel #5 associations, although the opening is piercing and piercing is not feminine. After this opening it is unisex masculine leaning as mentioned above, with even some dark incense revealing itself. Overall like champagne sprinkled on fresh linen - totally unisex, bit for me slightly masculine leaning. I have 40 niche fragrances from Kilian, Roja, Fragrance du Bois, Parfus de Marly and Nishane with only 2 Xerjoffs, this and Symphonium. I don't care much for the other Xerjoffs I have tried (including Nio, Naxo, Uden, and Italica - nice, but just not for me), but strangely these two may be the best in my collection. Certainly the most opulent and luxurious, even more so than my FDB Ouds. And it does not smell "old" like some neophyte YouTubers might tell you...what does smell old is Roja Oligarch and many other Rojas, certainly not this!

I could not wait to appear in the database ... to tell you how much this smells wonderful, magical, beautiful and absolutely nothing to do with the current Xerjoff releases ... About his beauty I could write eulogies, compose new "Ode to Joy", to talk about it day and night and still would not say everything and not be able to touch the depth and essence of it... Because depth is a bit retro ... I do not know if I could connect it with that depth of Le Galion Sortilege extrait that comes to us in September, or I would choose the Amouage 25 extrait, something this fantastic melt in this Pikovaya Dama ... dense, full, heady ... But not only the depth of this fragrance is fascinating, but the garment that envelops it ... The mantle is in fact what the dominant and celestial here is ... it is composed of the force of musk, but to me so far unknown, I know that the musk, but hoe they made it, only they know ... This is a love potion, aphrodisiac and sexual magic. Definitely one of the best smells that I've had smelled in my life ... It is such a beautiful day that I want to last forever ... as a perfect night where I do not want the dawn ... Durability and aura of perfect

This is an amazing clean scent that is unisex. I see several good clean scents out on the market that is more fem like MFK Aqua Unversalis. I like but a little to soft for me to wear all the time. This one to me has a slight bit of smokey background to the high end type soap. A soap you would probably see at one of the most luxurious resorts in the world. It's very hard to break down the notes here as Bojana2 mentioned, this is in a class by itself. It's very hard to explain. It's elusive in description to me but it's the type that grabs me and pulls me in. I just wore this one for the first time today and after applying this beauty, I received a compliment within the same hour. To sum this up in two words, Pure Quality.

Poetic,mystical, the perfect fusión of vintage and contemporary, Pikovaya Dama is Opera, is Mona Lisa, is golden shimmer. Carbonated vintage florals meets futuristic soapy cleanliness, encapsulated in the softness and sensuality of musk and extremely multifaceted aldehydes. This perfume reads on skin as “Heaven”. A masterpiece of masterpieces, my favorite Xerjoff, and honestly, I don’t get to wear it as often as I would like, as I feel this one is extra special, but when I do wear it, I feel like a brand new man.

A stunning fragrance. Strong elegant smoky sweet fragrance. Shaving cream soapiness with the most complex and enigmatic blend of rich ingredients. Slightly dry and going definitely masculine. There s a bit of petrol washed suede as well which can be a bit overwhelming along with the incense at the beginning. Mature luxurious cousin of Xerjoff Homme 17/17. Solid release. I wish this was released worldwide.

This is the queen of RICH soapy luxury. Stunning in every way. There is a retro vibe to it but in a timeless classic way. The notes blend masterfully. It is luxury, beauty, opulence in a bottle. This is what I would definitely call a true masterpiece. The price, oh the price.... it will give you a heart attack. I wish I didn't love this so much. This would be my new signature if not for the price.

Beautiful old school quality soft chypre.Perfectly balanced.Feels like you left Swedish oak sauna,clean invigorated and relaxed when used.

This one and Rochas Byzance vintage are soap queens maybe + Dolce and Gabbana Sicily current one. Beautiful and luxurious .

This is like a sugary pastry I know I shouldn’t eat. I am more than aware of how nutritionally devoid it is, as am I aware of how any pleasure I derive from it is short-lived, but, I simply CAN NOT. I just can’t. I love it. It’s so well put together, so nuanced and just such a pleasure to sniff. I can’t stop sniffing at my wrist, and it’s a little embarrassing, too, as I’ve been on teams meetings most of the day, but I just can’t stop myself. It’s soft, wispy and really dainty, but there is something in the background that holds it together. It is indeed a little lightweight, but sniff a little deeper and you’ll see a generously backed scent that works on many MANY levels. It dabbles a little in the metallic, but borrows from it JUST enough, and doesn’t stray into screechy territory. There is enough of a basey backing to make it work, and for me, it’s a complete, well-rounded scent that does not suffer from being one-dimensional. Love it! Next, to live in it and see just how much I love it...

This reminds me of year 10. That's it... Quite a sweet, floral scent that is smells amazing IMMEDIATELY. Way too femme for me, truth be told, but I love how this smells... The aldehydes are not Chanel No 5 type. I remember, a long time ago I bought an aromachemical kit and I got like 3 or 4 different aldehyde kits. This one uses one of the aldehydes that isn't all that common, C13 or something like that. The iris is soft, the musk is sweet and the citrus elements are gentle. A really REALLY beautiful scent, I must say...

This is indeed a beautiful scent, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, and on second/final appliction, I've decided that it's not for me. Aldehydey, musky, irisy and citrusy, a little too soft, dainty and proper for me. Not enough stank, not enough funk and not enough base. But DAMN beautiful. Let's not get mistaken, here. It's stunningly beautiful.

Haha, just applied this again and came here to leave a review. Completely agreed with the reviewer 2 reviews down.... and then I see that it's mine 😆 I still do think this is like a Dove soap. It's like a modern version of aldehydic scents like Chanel No5, but it's by default vintage-smelling because it's such a strong aldehyde.

Aldehydes, iris, coriander. There is a strong note of poppyseed in this, or even green poppy milk. A non-sweet aldehyde, almost like the original Dove soap... Yea, if you love the smell of Dove soap, this is probably as close as you can get it.

Powdery woods and iris thatachieved balance about half an hour after application. Neroli and cleaning solution lemon overtone. Rose undertone. Nuance consists of mostly coriander, before patchouli takes over, at which point the scent chills out enough to be wearable. Soapy and annoying, expensive femme oriented laundry pod which gets more interesting later into the wearing.

I'm so happy I samples this before blind buying. Just goes to show that fragrantica hype is not always something you can trust. Let me start out by saying that I'm a huge fan of Xerjoff, I have sampled almost everything they offer and have a few of their very exclusive fragrances including Jebel. When I read about this I was very excited and ordered a sample straight away. The quality is outstanding, however the actual fragrance is something I cannot stand. A soap and musk BOMB. So loud, so strong. A fragrance that does not sit in the background whatsoever, it is simply too loud for that. The soap pierces through my nostrils and stings my brain while the musk nauseates my stomach. I had to scrub this off my wrist, I simply couldn't bear to get any more wafts of it. This was made for the Russian market, and for that purpose I think they delivered the right perfume. When I spray this I instantly think of wealthy Russian people. Fortunately for me, I do not want to smell this way. I say fortunate because it saves me from spending a ton of money on yet another exclusive fragrance. If you like musk and soap, by all means try this, I believe the quality is fantastic. If not, steer clear my friends. This is a beast you cannot run away from.

What an extraordinary fragrance!! So dense and strong. I'm immediately hit with a tonne of musk plus spices and floral notes. At first it's tough identifying the other notes because the creamy musk is so in your face. I think the combination of pepper, neroli, nutmeg and incense provide a nose tickling pepperiness. These all become evident after half an hour or so. This fragrance certainly evolves with time. I knew it reminded me of something and then it hit me. It took me back to my childhood and the smell of my Dad's shaving cream. I guess that must be soapy aspect which made me think there were aldehydes in this. It's truly a beast so expect it to last all day. The silage is moderate on me. Please don't blind buy this.

Is it day wear or night wear? Well, as buster21 pretty much commented below, I would not wear it anywhere regardless of the time of day. It has a gorgeous opening which lasts for about 15 minutes and then a really rank note comes in and it never leaves. This is my first time trying a Xerjoff fragrance and unfortunately it didn't bode well. The one thing I will give credit for is it's longevity. I stank for about 22hrs until I washed it off this morning, all the while, hoping it would smell better at some point. Sadly, they'd have to pay ME to wear Pikovaya Dama!
