Richwood

In my younger days, it was popular with a certain set to put a dab of patchouli oil on clothing for a particular bohemian vibe. I wore it regularly and loved it. With patchouli-forward fragrances, however, I've not been overly impressed with the ones I have tested. Some strike me as being too earthy for my taste, while others are a bit too chocolatey. And then there are some that alternate between the two extremes: one moment damp earth, the next rich, dark chocolate cake. Reading the list of notes for Richwood before purchasing a test sample, I wasn't concerned to see patchouli listed as a base note. I felt that the other notes in the composition might push the patchouli into the background, where it could play a supporting role. My assumption was wrong! Richwood opens for me with a strong blast of patchouli that is so well blended with the stated opening notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and bergamot that I cannot detect any of them in isolation. At first glance, one might think those notes are absent altogether. However, I suspect they are largely responsible for how refined the patchouli is in its presentation here. To be clear, this is not the same patchouli note I enjoyed in my youth. Richwood's patchouli lacks the sharpness and intensity of the essential oil; instead, it expertly treads the line between earthy and chocolatey. It's just the right balance for my taste. As the fragrance develops, within the first few minutes after application, a sweet, dusty rose note emerges and blends with the patchouli to keep it interesting. Sandalwood in the background adds smoothness. There is a sweetness to the scent too, but it's not sugary. Instead, it's a natural, gentle sweetness. Richwood quickly settles and then is fairly consistent for several hours on my skin, with perfectly weighted patchouli at the forefront, supported mainly by rose and sandalwood. Even at the outset, Richwood has a powdery musk accord, and all that really changes over the time that this is on my skin is that the accord deepens before fading to a skin scent eight to ten hours later. I can see Richwood working well for a dressed-up evening out or equally in relaxed surroundings. It feels more at home in cooler weather, but surprisingly I found that it also works well on summer evenings. In terms of when I would wear it, Richwood occupies a similar space in my collection to Naxos: an elegant, versatile fragrance that feels equally at home dressed up or worn casually. Tested: 1ml decant Seasons / occasions: Typically suited to cooler weather, but surprisingly at home on summer evenings too. It has an air of luxury that makes it feel right for dressed-up occasions, yet it also works in relaxed surroundings. Key thoughts: A patchouli-led alternative to Naxos within the Xerjoff range. Richwood, Xerjoff 17/17 Stone Collection RichWood is another example of blending few popular DNA together and elevating. It may recall, Coromandel / Noir de Noir, and I do agree. it is similar. However, I think at least RichWood provide some twist as it merges these 2 DNA so well. RichWood, build around Sandalwood x Powdery Vanilla base. With Clean Earthy Patchouli as core for the fragrance. Decoration with classic fruity rose (Blackcurrant / Rose) that go easy on nose. It is sweet syrup rose concoction with Clean Earthy Patchouli, Vanilla that few almost like White Chocolate. Richwood, similar to other premium price fragrance. Doesn't bring anything new to the market, however refining the DNA to perfection. This is married between Dry Earthy Patchouli with Rose similar structure to Noir de Noir, but the Rose is DamaRose on base of smooth sweet chocolate like from powdery vanilla similar Coromandel. I personally think RichWood is epitome of this DNA on the cleaner side of thing. Noir de Noir is very earthy, borderline dirty to my nose as it is contributed by Truffle note, unique earthy profile and Coromandel (EDP) is slight too Ambery and Smoky - Is it worth the price, truly boiled down into how much you into this DNA. Addendum 1; Richwood created by Jacques Flori (JOVOY) one of the best nose for Amber Patchouli and Incense. Addendum 2 (Dec 3, 2024); I purchase my bottle produce in 2022 half year ago - 100 ml. around USD 300 from Discounter (seal box tho). To be honest with you guy, it is really hard to really recommend this one to you and I will insist a hard no at full-retail price. For price per quantity, Coromandel is really a better way to go... However, a point I would personally choose Richwood, because how rose dominant on my skin (I am friend with Rose anyway) and Patchouli in this even dominant, it is not really dirty, it is a quality I am enjoy. I believe Richwood still use higher amount of Natural as it hard to distinguish the modern material and the blend is good. Another way round, Richwood is just a Soft Fruity Rose & Patchouli and Sandalwood amber fragrance. It is quite, actually, outdate (you know it just so classic combo); but at the certain event - Richwood is truly safe choice, polite and radiance fragrance with stable medium silage. Make you feel pleasant, clean and well-groomed. (Personally, I think Coromandel even "feels" luxurious than this) It hard for me to picture something in my collection would fit the big event that not too announce (well, I won't probably wear my amouage collection to that function).. This is functional fragrance for those who understand this quality. nothing outstanding but refine fragrance. If you really enjoy the scent, you can go for Richwood.

Richwood is one of those "profumes" that, by definition, is a mysterious composition perceived as a single entity. It reminds me directly of a beverage in asia that has vanilla + citruses and is called Cream Soda, the opening is literally that but ofc more elevated- Initially, it's very hard to separate the layers; it feels like a work with in-depth layering that somehow melts all the parts together, not allowing you to really understand which part is where. It places itself above you, almost with a sense of superiority. I don't think I've ever come across a similar work. In other terms, it's an extremely creamy tuberose kind of medicinal patchouli working together with a dark and mature tone of damask rose. It's the first time ever that a rose isn't coming at you, but is working together with black currant to make it creamy. The opening is opulent and sits like a golden layer on you, slowly shifting to this uniform, very creamy French synth that radiates and radiates without ever really losing its power. To me, what makes this work amazing is the fact that it takes Coromandel's classic blueprint and pushes it to the next level, because this Tuberose note isn't present in Coromandel. The other protagonist is obviously the Mysore sandalwood; the sandalwood in here is absolutely beautiful and makes this stand on its own in a way that rarely any scent could. It's clear that it's a key element, and to me personally, it's really the star of the show. Patchouli means green leaves, and this can surely be associated with luxury, as everyone is implying, but in my opinion, the "rich" part is a dedication to sandalwood. It takes sandalwood and makes it rich, like an actual nectar that is elevated with a specific chord combined with Tuberose. Another thing to point out is this shadow of a chocolate vanilla accord that is lurking underneath. This is juxtaposed with an unusual labdanum that always comes back when we want to rebalance the sweetness. Is not chocolate as we think, is a Vanilla earthy acchord that remind you of it. Expensive, overlooked, and maybe even cornered as a copy of Coromandel, Richwood stands on its own, especially because it's a performance beast, it burst even after 4h. It reminds me of Le Lion because it's creating this unique block of elevated smelling juice that you don't want to question; is something very hard to come across a similar work, and Sergio knows that, wich explains the price. I own Zefiro and Richwood, and i consider them the best of their own category. To me is worth the price if you enjoy the profile, because a small spray last all day. Enjoy

Did this one right. Ordered a sample, adored it, waited and pondered. After some months, finally bought (my God, the price!). It arrived two days ago. Unboxed it in front of one of our two resident skeptics, the Rational Engineer. The Rational Engineer is tolerant of my fragrance hobby, but understanding; he is the same way with guitars, and knows that everyone has their Thing. (Understand that the RE wishes that there were rabbit pellets for people, so that they wouldn't have to think about how to fuel themselves all the time, they could just graze all day and every nutritional requirement would be taken care of. The RE is profoundly practical.) I sprayed my inner arms and right away held one out for him to sniff. His face lit up. And throughout the day, whenever I offered him my arm again-- as I did occasionally because Richwood tells a beautiful long story-- he was never bored. I knew more what to expect and was gratified; for him, it was an ongoing revelation. Every time he smelled it his eyes widened and I could see him thumping his metaphorical tail. Yesterday I said, "I think you should have this." And instead of "Nah," or "Why?" he said "Thank you." Richwood is all the good things everyone has said in previous reviews: "complex and wonderful," "spectacular and extraordinary," even "a creamy, sexy dream." But it is also surpassingly elegant. It smells divine on man or woman. I don't care if the RE wears it or I do, as long as I get to be around it frequently. Trying to imagine which famous person or character would wear this, but it demands very careful thought. (Most of a day later) John of Gaunt (1340 - 1399). Richwood is a noble, universally attractive, epic scent. (Two days after that: also Lord Asriel from Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, whenever his manservant might remind him of it. This is how you get a powerful witch to sleep with you, not to speak of Mrs. Coulter.) Recently the RE went so far as to say: "I kind of like this." While he was wearing it. Which, for him, is huge.

Xerjoff Richwood is inspired by a tree of life (Khejri Tree) which is sacred to Indians specially for folks in Rajasthan and worshiped – The notes are inspired by earthy Rooty Patchouli – Fruits which grow on this tree and flowers which bees use for nectar – this tree body is made of scented wood called sandalwood – This tree provide shade in heat of Dessert so it’s truly a tree of life and rightly worshipped and inspiration for Richwood As you spray this perfume the opening is fruity which goes away in like few minutes and then comes the dance of Patchouli and rose where patchouli is providing the sharpness and the dark rose is providing the sweetness and then comes the star which is Mysore sandalwood providing the woody base – Sandalwood take the center stage now and you smell patchouli and rose are enhancing sandalwood characteristics of being creamy and sweet – I have tested original Mysore sandalwood and its never this sharp and sweet so my thumps up to the perfumer (Jacques Flori) for doing an excellent blend – this is so regal and formal – Like a prince you smell sharp and rich with a glass of wine in your hand ,As I do smell something like a wine – I think its black currant - The last phase of Richwood had addition of vanilla and amber in small form which just adds to regalness – The projection and silage is excellent like its within your hand distance and longevity is little over 8 hours range on my skin . Richwood to me is epitome of Mysore sandalwood note in western perfumery however its more than sandalwood fragrance as its goes through various stages with various notes playing their role – Its definitely a rich and complex fragrance which justifies its price as the experience it’s gives is priceless IMO and worth the experience . 9.5/10

Only tried it once but Richwood is a very classy and sophisticated and straightforward offering from the house of Xerjoff. It begins with lovely citruses and rose in the opening, these die down after about an hour and then you get a rich creamy sandalwood reminiscent of the sandalwood of 15-20 years ago. It is coupled with a dirty patchouli that dominates the show all the way until the end and notes of vanilla and labdanum. If they added more sandalwood and less patchouli, then it would have been a 10/10, but I love patchouli anyway. Real Mysore sandalwood, yes but it is minimal and surely coupled with coupled with other types of sandalwood or notes to give it that effect, it does the job very well. The notes breakdown on Fragrantica is spot on from top to base, (maybe because Xerjoff don't provide any order of notes) and I could pick them out easily in Richwood. With moderate sprays, longevity was about 7 hours for me on skin, a couple of days on clothing. Sillage is okay, maybe a couple of meters, it always reminds you that it is there and creates a nice bubble. Perfect for formal occasions. It is definitely worth the price tag for the 100ml which retails for £500 considering some Roja Dove's are around this price for 50ml but price becomes subjective once you get into this category. Easily the best sandalwood that I can think of at the moment. I definitely need Richwood in my life. 9/10 Edit: After trying Chanel Coromandel EDP, I think Richwood does not warrant the price tag because they smell so damn similar even though the note profile is different. The only difference is that Richwood takes a patchouli direction in the drydown whereas Coromandel stays lighter and creamy, dare I say it is even better than Richwood.

Xerjoff Richwood opens with bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin followed by a rich creamy sandalwood that comes accompanied by rose, iris and a touch of black berries. A deep smoky/spicy/Boozy patchouli soon enters the stage and, it is in this combination of Sandalwood, Rose, Iris and patchouli where Richwood stays the longest until, labdanum and vanilla join those notes into the dry down. Richwood is a luxurious, indulgent and sophisticated experience, a beautiful piece of perfumery with Excellent longevity (I get 14-16h consistently from a single spray), projection is good for the first 4-6h and sillage is moderate. Please note. This review is from my carton box presentation bottle. The whole of the 17/17 stone label line was reformulated when the beautiful leather box presentation was introduced. But, I am afraid that the new juice does not match the great leather presentation. I find the original carton box juice vastly superior. As for the price, I bought DamaRose, Irisss and Homme with this bottle of Richwood and happily paid the high cost admission ticket for my tall carton boxes back in April 2014. Having said that, I would not pay anywhere near the £500 asking prices for the newer leather box formulations. Sadly, that goes for the whole Xerjoff 17/17 stone label line. As for comparisons with HDP Ambre 114... Other than the notes they share, There are no other similarities at all and they are completely different scents (and I own them both) Again, this is from my tall carton box bottle.

There’s a danger that somewhere along the journey we start judging things by their ability to shock us. Not necessarily by how bombastic they are, but by subconsciously measuring their greatness by how unique they feel. The trouble in doing so is that if we assess things primarily by their individuality, we’re left with a very small palette of things to appreciate. I guess that’s a long-winded way of saying, you’ve smelt this before. There are touches of Coromandel, but also something reminiscent of Tauer’s work. Maybe even a little of Mxxx or Night Flower from Eris. All great perfumes, I should add, so none of this is meant as criticism. It’s simply hard to talk about something like this without referencing the others that occupy the same space. I don’t get a lot of citrus in the opening. It’s there, but you’d be forgiven for barely noticing it. What immediately strikes a chord instead is the powdery, dusty, chocolatey patchouli, which is the real star of the show. It remains so throughout the wearing experience, supported by a soft and delicate rose that eventually yields to a really gorgeous, creamy sandalwood base. There’s no doubt this is a beautiful perfume, and one that I’m happy to own. Yes, it’s reminiscent of the others I’ve referenced, but also far enough removed to not be redundant.

I said I would never pay $400+ for a fragrance and $250 would be my highest but what about that gray area of $300? Would I spend that much if I really really liked a perfume? Maybe... I sampled this like I do all other fragrances I'm curious about and it took me to another world. I got lucky and found a tester for $300 for 100ml, mind you a bottle that size for Richwood goes for $400+ everywhere so i pulled the trigger. This fragrance projects like crazy, lasts all day and has such a rich and sophisticated scent. You definitely only pull this out when you want to feel regal. I kept sniffing my wrist to get reminded why I spent that much on a fragrance and each time it keeps reassuring me I made the right decision. Now maybe part of the reason I love this so much is because I have a bias towards woody notes, however, a lot of people must do too because it has a pretty good rating here. I've smelled a bunch of Xerjoffs, Alexander II, 40 knots, Monkey special, Naxos, Urba Pura, etc. but this beats them all by a mile.

Richwood is the perfect name for summing this scent up - it’s woody and makes you smell rich. It opens sharp and tangy with bergamot and orange, with a lingering fruitiness in the background coming from grapefruit and blackcurrant. In the heart you’re gently greeted by a fantastically soft rose and sweet vanilla of the highest quality, before drying down to a base of buttery sandalwood and a slightly earthy patchouli. I am in love with this scent. I’m a big fan of rose and sandalwood, and the marriage of the two in this fragrance is magical. It has good performance and will get you noticed, all while giving the impression of refinement and extreme wealth - Richwood is definitely a confidence booster. The price of this fragrance is laughable, but it’s one of my favourite fragrances of all time and one of the absolute best from Xerjoff. I find the house to be a little hit and miss but this and the entire 17/17 Stone Label collection is magnificent. I would strongly recommend this to any lover of rose and sandalwood.

I'm wearing Xerjoff Richwood on a cool spring day, and I realise that this is a very thick fragrance. Rich is definitely a fitting descriptor of this woody, creamy sandalwood-rose combination. The two stars of this scent embrace each other and lose themselves in one another completely, like two lovers consummating their all-consuming passion on a tempestuous night. This is a very sensuous scent that is accentuated by the right amount of sweetness coming from the tangerine and currant. They lend a graham cracker, marshmallow sweetness that is reminiscent of s'mores, but with an interesting fruity bubble-gum infusion. Despite the sweetness the scent is never overwhelmed by any one component, and this is where the deft hand of the perfumer makes itself known: it would be quite difficult to balance these complex aromas to tread the fine line between a guilty indulgence and an outright bacchanal for an ordinary perfumer. This is definitely a rich and luxurious scent for formal occasions.

I'm a pretty new member to the world of prefumery and do not have alot of knowledge of specific smelling notes but i figured my first fragrantica review should be on the fragrance that heated up my love for the niche world. Richwood feels very powdery with nice soft smelling citruses laying on a platter of dry patchouli and sandalwood and musk. It does'nt come off too pungent and will definitely not offend anybody near you, for me it takes off after about 30 minutes within the initial burst and becomes a solid skin scent for about 7 hours but it sure remains as lovely, warm, intoxcicating and inviting throughout the entire experience. It smells very warm-woodey-floral and powdery and striked me as pretty feminine leaning at first but then i came to realize the beauty of how perfectly unisex it truly was after a few wearing. VERY VERY cost heavy but if u get the chance go get that luxurious smelling bad boy.

Richwood is a luxurious patchouli masterpiece and another reminder of why Xerjoff remains one of my favorite fragrance houses. Upon first application, it may come across as a rose-patchouli fragrance, but that impression is short-lived. Within about ten minutes, the rose fades into the background and becomes barely noticeable. What follows is the true magic of Richwood: an exquisite drydown of creamy, clean patchouli blended seamlessly with smooth sandalwood. The result is elegant, refined, and incredibly addictive. The patchouli here is polished and sophisticated, free from any earthy harshness, while the sandalwood adds a beautiful creamy texture that makes the fragrance impossible to stop smelling. I completely fell in love with this perfume. Richwood is a timeless, luxurious composition that showcases patchouli at its absolute best and is undoubtedly one of the standout creations from Xerjoff.

The best creamy mass available Mysore sandalwood centric perfume I’ve come across thus far. Embers from trnp is also very high up there but it’s sadly discontinued and hard to find now. Richwood starts with a burts of citrus and right away the smooth buttery Mysore along with a slight chocolaty patchouli. There is a ever so slight resemblance to Angel by Mugler in the opening. Patchouli is one of my least favorite notes in perfumery but luckily it’s very nice in here. Not off putting or too strong. On my skin I predominantly smell the smooth buttery Mysore vanilla and perhaps a hint of rose and black current. In the far drydown it’s a Vanillac slightly resinous buttery sandalwood with the slightest hint of edible patchouli. It’s totally unisex , I’d even say fem leaning. Very high quality juice that performs excellent and it’s a staple in my collection. Luvs it.

A definitely lovely, but somewhat over glorified rose/patchouli scent with traces of a decent sandalwood note, which becomes more prominent as the scent wears. If performance is your prime focus, then you've nothing to worry about, Richwood is far from subtle. It blooms all around the wearer and lasts for hours. Don't get me wrong, this is a well crafted, classy composition, but I can't help but feel it may be somewhat redundant at this price point. It bears many similarities to L'Artisan's Voleur de Roses for instance, which retails at a fifth of the price. If price is no concern however, then Richwood may be a nice addition to your shelf. Keep in mind though, if blind buying, that the name may be somewhat misleading. For me, Richwood is definitely more a patch/rose composition than a truly woody offering.

This is the most luxurious fragrance ever. So opulent! It is fascinating to go through the many phases of this perfume. Wonderfully complex. Very refined sandalwood and rose. And I love the Patchouli in it. It wasn’t love at first sniff. I got a sample last year and didn’t like it because I thought it was too posh. Tried again one year later and, with a more mature and refined nose, I fell in love with it. Elegance in a bottle. There is no oud here. I own a couple of oud fragrances so I am used to how oud smells, and Richwood doesn’t smell like oud at all. I got my full bottle yesterday from the Xerjoff Universe website. If you want to smell rich then Richwood is the perfume for you.

You need to buy this too. I knew that this fragrance was a must buy the moment that it hit my nose. This is the kind of scent that wealthy and dignified men wear. They own very expensive suits and probably also drive a Porsche. I am neither of those things, all my shirts have noticeable pit stains and I only have a work truck plus a bicycle. Anyway, so yeah, this fragrance is really good. No, it's great. It makes me feel like somebody I am not. For kicks, I like to wear this suit that I got at Goodwill for $50 and add some Richwood. Then I put on my Walkman and listen to Slayer while I ride my bike down to the local 7-11 for a slurpee. Good times.

Well so far it's the best one from Xerjoff, I can't even think of anything off-putting about this fragrance. I wanted it from the first review I've seen, wanted everything from the white box with the silkylike textile inside, real stone on the bottle, which makes this perfume special in all of the possible ways. The scent is so addictive, so complex and sophisticated. It's so nice, it could be a gourmand, bubblegum like opening, juicyfruit and then it becomes all about sandalwood, but very delicate, very addictive. Having this one in my collection made me forget of the Creed Aventus. When applied I feel like I am wearing white color.

Amazing! Why does no one talk about this? The opening is very similar to most rose patchouli fragrances out there but the rose fades very quickly and almost completely and it quickly dries down to a powdery patchouli musky goodness that has traces of citrus lingering. I am a certified patch hater but the patchouli in this is so amazing and not dirt like. I have been on a quest to find the perfect patchouli fragrance for me and this may be it. Completely unisex to my nose maybe leaning just a very tinsy tiny bit masculine. I just wish they made this in their adorable 15ml size!

This one should be named Rich-patchouli rather than Richwood The patchouli is the main star in this stunning , extremely elegant fragrance from Xerjoff and it can easily be no.(( One )) or the best release from this house . Citrusy and pungent fresh ( not jammy rose ) natural rose with fresh fruity sweetness from Black Currant is very pleasant and attractive which envelopes the classic mix of earthy sweetie patchouli , powdery sandalwood and soft creamy vanilla with smoky touches from labdanum I don’t agree with some comments below which regards it as Chypre Highly recommend 👍

This is some very powerful juice guys! Super powerful and lasts forever. It better considering one could pay their monthly mortgage for the price of a new bottle. It's not Home Depot aisle wood. I didn't like it at first bc I was expecting a hardcore wood fragrance. It's dry and dusty feeling. This is what I would expect a billionaire to smell like on a night out on the town. It does a powdery vibe to it as well. I need more time with my large sample, but these are just my first thoughts and impressions

Fresh fruity opening, smoothed and subdued by florals and woods. Slightly powdery on skin that isn't noticed on paper. I kinda notice a slightly boozy accord too, somehow. This actually reminds me a lot of Uden, a floral Uden. More woody and less citric than Uden, less woody and more citric than Uden Overdose. A fairly complicated, fun scent that is very versatile and maybe a little more unisex than Uden. Great performance too with 3-4hr moderate projection, 12hr+ longevity. Shame it costs 50% more.

one of the most interesting scent trails. A level above the instant perception of something nice and expensive that an expensive hotel lobby communicates. It's sharply unique and mature, with a scent profile very xerjoff-esque. This is the type of shit that niche fragrance lovers live for, it's a shame that some of them inhale the testing strip and decide to turn their heads from this. Really wish xerjoff marketed this more---it's by far one of their best pieces of perfumery.

I can see the similarities of this to Coromandel, however, this is less floral/powdery. Because of that I find it more unisex, even masculine leaning. I prefer Coromandel, however. Coromandel has a uniquely "clean" scent profile, is greener, and has more depth to its scent profile. There is a dirtier patchouli in Coromandel though so if you're trying to avoid that, this fragrance could be perfect for you. Projection is strong, the fragrance is long lasting on my skin.

Such an interesting scent. It's sweet, smooth and powdery but also kind of earthy, mossy and green - it's a smell that kinda reminds me of old stuff (old wooden drawers, old books, old basements...). I know I didn't say it too well but it's actually amazing how everything works. I do find it a bit old fashioned & vintage, but then modernized. Leans masculine imo. Decent performance. I love it, the uniqueness also adds a few points to the final rating.

An absolute masterpiece 10/10, not for under 30 say but it’s blended to perfection. Lasts ages on clothes. I really notice the powder dry but it’s masculine not old lady style. Interested to know how many were produced in the 17/17 range, I hear 500 in both 50ml and 100ml but discounters are selling them and surely they have sold more than 500 units worldwide?? If you’re lucky enough to get a genuine bottle.. enjoy!! 😍

I had added a small review here about Richwood in 2014. It was a 2012 batch now I have a 2018 bottle. Its still a majestic scent but the opulence and strength is considerably different. The rich, intoxicating smell of Richwood kept emanating from the decant of 2012 but this is a bit weaker juice but the formula is almost intact. The 2012 was worth craving

One of the best sandalwood fragrances on the market. Creamy and smooth, it smells beautiful. Is the price justified? If you have the money yes. Good projection and sillage, longevity is good too but it fades to a skin scent sooner than you'd expect. Sandalwood note is not overly prominent from the start, but more noticeable in the dry down.

Update : I prefer Richwood to Coromandel for a few reasons. Price, longevity, similarity, and the dry down is superior and a little more How is coromandel better? Chanel name, beautiful opening. masculine. *****The biggest reason, 30 mins into wearing coromandel it smells legit like mold/mildew. It’s unmistakable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is another fragrance that lives up to its name. Very luxury and rich smelling. Opens with slight citrus, but what I really get from this is really really rich wood, vanilla, musk, with a hint of rose! Beautiful masterpiece absolute beast in performance and projection. You will smell and feel wealthy when wearing this!

Gorgeous fragrance; opulent, dense yet fresh and evolves rapidly and frequently. This is its' downfall because the longevity is concerning given the price. AF makes a version that is close to this but doesn't have the sparkle to it. Regardless, this is stunning. Scent: 9.5 Projection: 8 Longevity: 4 Value: 6

As previous review, It smells rich, classy somehow fresh. One of my favorite of Xerjoff but the price... Maybe later in my life I'd buy a full bottle. Might get the 15ml this year, I think it's worth it. You can honestly wear it every year around, for special moment or date. It's incredible.

Probably the best Xerjoff fragrance or maybe top 3 IMHO, my nose very sensitive in black currant note, it is perfect blend rose, citrus, black currant and patchouli, very long lasting over 10 hours with very good projection, can be a all year around perfume, just gorgeous Richwood is 9.75/10

This is a beautiful scent. I feel it leans more feminine, can't see a man pulling this off. I feel it's fairly unique. I definitely get a sweet wood, rose(mild) and natural vanilla feel. Its soft and elegant, not harsh or synthetic. Price point is quite high. overall I would give It a 8/10

Someone walked past me yesterday evening and I couldn’t help but to ask what fragrance he was wearing, he said Xerjoff Richwood. He went straight to his car, showed me his 1/8th juice left and I couldn’t stop sniffing the bottle. It’s really expensive but worth it. I’m rating it a 9/10.

Oh Lordy. So I decided to venture into the rabbit hole of frags and bought five bottles of Xerjoff. One being RichWood. This one has a weird opening but a few minutes in I started to get a creamy sweet honey-ish scent that was masculine and beautiful. This is an awesome creation. 👍

Guys, it was out of stock here for a loong time, finally now they got it back and guess what! It smells different!! I have an older decant and there’s a hell lot of difference. This one barely lasted an hour on me and its so faint. I will check it again but I’m really shocked.

The holy grail of sandalwood scents IMO. Rich, creamy, and decadent. This one will have you sniffing your wrist for hours. It's pricy and not for every occasion, but for those times when you want to smell opulent you'd be hard pressed reaching for a different fragrance.

Beautiful. Truly one of my favourite rose and patchouli scents. I love this. Very intense and long lasting, rich and strong. The patchouli is gorgeous, the sandalwood and the rose, well; really superb. Very sweet and creamy, sexy and classy. I love it. It's wonderful!!!

Don’t allow the “wood” in the name scare you. This is a perfume that’s perfectly unisex and well blended, it gives that rich vibe I can’t explain. Few sprays and it lasts you the whole day, your clothes still scent even after weeks. Thankful I own the 100ml bottle.

Lovely patchouli with the familiar Xerjoff base that turns to a sweet musk on my skin. There's something juicy in it, a sweet apricot. Suitable for every season, male and female. If only Xerjoff wasn't exorbitantly expensive I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Yeah this stuff is perfect, very unique. Quality’s are unmatched! Smooth yet rough yet dirty yet clean Green elements to it which shine through on the dry down! Did get a little hint of opium YSL for men and LP no9 penhaligons, worth checking those out!

On the initial spray you get minty patchouli. I hate minty patchouli fragrances. Until I tried this one! As this starts to develop it turns into one of the best fragrances I have ever put my nose on! OMG where have you been all my life?! 10/10

This is a great fragrance, but to cost more than ll it's weight in gold , I find that hard to swallow and I'd pay no more than $200 per a full bottle, anything more than that you're really just getting pounded...HARD

RICH! Fruity coromandel, fizzy, sparkly, still high quality despite being fruity. The rose and patchouli are so well blended, one of the actual best from Xerjoff. Richwood is dirty elegant Would love a bottle 🥹

This stuff is just so fucking beautiful. When I smelled Richwood for the first time I felt weird feeling in my stomach, it was like I just fell in love. Im not kidding, this stuff was worth every single penny.

I just prefer the older formulas but to be honest, there is no much difference.. This fragrance is the epitome of Luxuriousness and sexiness, even more luxurious than Nishane Nefs. solid 11/10.. easy !

Opening does NOT smell like coromandel, but the dry down is near identical. I’d love to see what coromandel lovers think of these two in comparison/longevity? Which is superior?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow this is really luxurious! I can see the similarities to Chanel's Coromandel but i think this one is better. Old money vibes, definitely unisex leaning masculine. Amazing.
