Rose Gold

I truly love this scent as I am a rose lover. And, in truth, I want all the rose scents. All of them. So, this is hardly an unbiased review. That said, this is a beautiful rose fragrance. However, I think that there are enough rose scents that are fairly similar to this particular perfume, that I'm not in an urgent rush to acquire this for my collection. That's not to say that there are true dupes, just that Xerjoff is quite a reach for my budget, and if I am going to spend the money, it's definitely going to be a fragrance that I don't think I have anything even remotely similar in my collection. That's not a knock on the scent; it's just how I (personally) would prioritize my purchase. This is a fresher rose; but, it does manage to have some of the jammier aspects shine through in the final stages of the scent. The opening is fairly sharp due to the geranium that was used; the amber comes through more in the drydown. I get decent sillage and projection with this scent. And, right now, my skin seems to be "eating" everything that I try to put on. So, it definitely outperforms most of the things that I have in my collection.

Exquisite! Throughout history Rose has always been The Scent. The scent of love, beauty and harmony but at the same time - enigma and seduction. This is the best Rose fragrance I've ever smelled. And I've gone through MANY (easily hundreds which I'm not particularly proud of). The heavenly silage is just a miracle. I had people following me asking what I'm wearing, I had people forgetting what they were talking about because they got hypnotized by this scent, true story! Masterpiece! If you liked Un Rose by Malle but did not like the sour note then you will LOVE Rose Gold. Long lasting, good silage without being too loud. Geranium is only there for a few minutes in the beginning so if that's what you are after then keep searching. If you love rose - do yourself a favor and get an original sample of this, thank me later ;-)

I tried this while in the Xerjoff boutique in Turin, in Via Lagrange, last weekend. This is part of a set, to be used on its own or to be layered with Amber Gold. This is a classic clean and fresh roses perfume. It is watery and classy, the geranium keeps the scent fresh. There is a touch of sweetness, from the patchouli, but this is not a jammy or sugary rose, at all. Performance is great, I could smell it on my wrist for many hours. I have a few roses perfumes but at some point I think I will buy this set as I love Amber Gold as well 🌹🤍🩷

I finally got a chance to get this in my collection. This is a great release IMO The Bulgarian rose and the Geranium are the most dominate players here, but unlike most Rose based fragrances that are overpowering (Amouage Lyric Man, Federic Malle POAL) I don't find the Rose nor the Geranium overpowering. You can pick up both amber and Patchouli notes as well. Well done Xerjoff. I'm so happy that I have this in my collection.

Yes, this is sharp and a bit acidic - and glorious. One of my favourite rosey perfumes at the moment. Nice performance and projection... My only reservation is that it's sold only with Amber Gold :-( whyyyy.

It's funny how people kept comparing this to an Oriental rose 🤔 This is a well done RED red rose on the fresh & realistic (yet rich) side similar to Frederic Malle Une Rose

A really clean rose-watery type fragrance with blast of fizzy citrus. I would love to pick it up but I don’t know what I would do with amber gold. 9/10

I love these notes so I can't wait for Xerjoff Rose Gold comes to market. I'll blind buy this one.

Rose Gold smells like an expensive rose. one of my favourite all time ..masterpiece

its actually a pretty pleasant green rose. its sharp but nowhere as sharp ive tried in some other fragrances. there are some quality ingredients in this and you can really tell by how natural and crisp the rose is. reminds me one of the new Tom Ford Rose Garden releases, i believe its the Rose de Chine. That being said im not the biggest rose lover so I probably wont get a bottle of this, though i will enjoy my sample whenever i need a dose of fresh rose

This is a bulgarian rose overdose on steroids. It has a monster projection, the scent just scream quality. and well... for it's price it is unquestionable. If you like roses - give this a try, a combination of Bulgarian roses and geranium are the most prominent base of this scent. But this is in no way dated. well-done.

I'm a big fan of Xerjoff and i own couple of them. I was intrigued by Rose Gold after seeing people say ̈this is the best rose fragrance out there ̈, ̈this smells like expensive and elegant rose ̈. so i got a sample of it and....this just smells like rose water. just throw some rose water on yourself and you will smell exactly like this fragrance. Maybe my nose is not advanced enough but im just saying how it is. this is Rose Water. its not bad, definetly not bad but just not worth the money. and blending it with amber gold just takes away from both of the fragrances in my opinion. it makes rose gold smell less good and makes amber gold pretty much non existing. Amber gold by itself however is more intriguing but is kind of on the weaker side. if you want a rose fragrance buy Xerjoff Richwood. it is leagues above this one

I thought I would love this based on the notes, but for whatever reason it just doesn't work for me. Too astringent or something, and I feel like I barely get the rose. I'll stick with Soprano for when I want a beautiful rose. Update: tried this again in the new year and it did not improve. They're something really chemically about it that overwhelms the delicate rose - it's almost like nail polish remover.

I got a sample of this from xerjoff at harrods, this initially smells like the dry down of oud satin mood mixed with a mild accord of vomit...im getting something soggy, wet and unsettling to my nose, like rancid roses (some previous reviews did state it smells acidic, maybe thats what i mean). It gets a little better in the dry down but still not a huge fan. Its a mature, green, wet “acidic” rose. Its not the worst scent and I love oud satin mood, but this just isnt for me. I made a man smell this too and he was like ew update: idk bout yall but a few hours later this smells like salty pee on my skin

Tried this perfume, and not the Rose i like in the perfume. This composition is mainly about green and acid rose. even if they used the bulgarian type, they must have poured so much geranium, that that amazing rose is hidden away. Molinard have the extrait of rose, if anyone tried that - then this is the same. extrait from molinard is unfortunately not in database. try before you buy.

Elegant and sophisticated rose are the kind words I have. Low projection, sits close to the skin. Considering this is $325 for a 50ml, way overpriced, paying for the Xerjoff name I believe. Lyric Man is just as good and less $$ I believe.

Awfully sharp, rank and acidic. it reminds me of PHI Une Rose de Kandahar by Tauer. I had to scrub it off and throw away my sample.

Quite natural smelling rose, sultry, dry, bright. Similar to natural rose water as somebody mentioned below. The main rose note is supported by some subtle green nuances, slight sweetness comes in as it dries too, feels very clean and sophisticated. In that far dry down it smells very elegant, candied rose a more sweet smell, this blend truly shines in the later stages. However, it stays close to skin throughout. People that love rose can definitely give this a try. To me, it does not warrant a full bottle purchase.

This is a very intense, wet rose in a bottle. I can appreciate its rich rosey quality although I myself don't care for that in large quantities. Its potency reminds me very much of Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, slightly of Lancôme Magnifique, & is highly reminiscent of The Body Shop British Rose to give you an idea. This is not the one for me but I think rose fans will appreciate its sweetness. Sillage is excellent and performance is a beast.

Wet red roses with leaves and thorns included. I feel this is something I already have in another bottle and brand...it is very very similar to Fille de Berlin and Sa Majeste La Rose. Not a bad thing but no need to buy this such an uber expensive fragrance when you can get a wonderful Lutens for way less $$.
