Torino

Sampling Xerjoff Torino, a 2020 release from the Shooting Stars collection. I’d previously tried out Torino21 from the Join the Club (JTC) collection but my Torino sample wouldn’t spray so I had to wait for a replacement, which Xerjoff did provide. Quick aside: the two scents are quite different, not variations of one another. Torino21 is more of a freshie, whereas Torino is a sort of sumptuous creamy, almost gourmand-adjacent scent. I actually don’t see this for sale anywhere, even the Xerjoff Universe website, when searching online, so perhaps someone else knows its pricing and where it’s currently available, or if it’s discontinued. According to online sources, Torino includes notes of vanilla, caramel, guaiac wood, black pepper, orange, neroli, and vetiver, and most of these notes makes sense. It’s creamy and sweet first and foremost but with spicy and fresh angles, and just the tiniest bit of an earthiness coming from the vetiver. It makes for a rich and dense blend with sweet-but-not-too-sweet sensibilities, something that one could get a lot of use of in the winter, but probably isn’t too offensive to wear in milder weather. I think this would be a lot to handle in the heat. So it performs well, hits a few key angles, and frankly doesn’t quite remind me of anything specific while nonetheless having a bit of a familiar feel. I’m instantly a fan, as I was with Torino21, even though they’re very different scents. 8 out of 10

Xerjoff Torino in the Shooting Stars Collection. This is an exclusive to the flagship Xerjoff boutique in Turin from 2020, adding to the list of masterful creations Chris Maurice created for Xerjoff. The bottle features etchings of some of the famous buildings in Turin. This can be ordered by emailing the Turin boutique for purchase, due to the pandemic limiting travel during launch. I absolutely LOVE ❤️ resinous, sappy sweet, balsamic fragrances. This one opens with quick citrus. The base notes peak through quickly, and only richen with time. The freshness of the greenery on the fir trees 🌲 never leaves! This is a woody, vetiver, cognac, Madagascar vanilla, balsamic so perfect for crisp, sunny, fall days!

I have been enjoying this so much since I got it a few weeks ago. This is a very addictive scent. That top pepper note with the rounded and smooth oud adds a spicy and smokey quality to the sweet and candy-like citrus. This, to me, is a complete fragrance, and by complete I mean it's a little fresh, a little sweet, a little woodsy, a little earthy, a little aromatic. Exquisitely made! My words are not doing this justice. I think this and Torino21 are different enough where one is probably more suitable for the summer and the other in colder weather, yet they still belong in the same wardrobe. It's a must-have for me (9/10)

Musc Ravageur almost exactly, but with a citrus opening. I have MR and it's one of my favorites. I got this Torino from the Xerjoff store in Milan and I loved it, so I got it, then I was in Paris 3 weeks later and Loved Musc Ravageur, so I bought that too, but didn't realize the similarity since it had been a few weeks. This was April 2024. I have heard Musc Ravageur has a new formulation, if that is true, this is that. There is a new fragrance Louis xv and it's very close to this also.

Vey similiar to Symphonium just more peppery and less musky, Orange note makes it unique but fades away too quickly leaving a surprisingly soft pepper and vanilla scent behind, the woodiness is not as prevelant as i would like it just falls behind the very sweet vanilla and pepper which makes for a strange dry down.Great performance though lasts more than a full workday and projects within maybe half a meter. Overall: long lasting creamy vanilla fragrance with some not so harsh pepper not that special, Symphonium is just more interesting with its smooth chocolate undertones 7/10 would definitely not buy a full bottle, get symphonium or something cheaper.

Very interesting scent! I could detect the Xerjoff DNA right off the bat. Resinous and ambery qualities are dominant for the first hour or two and then there is a mellow chocolaty smoke facet. I found some similarities to Ivory Route, another great fragrance by Xerjoff. For me, Torino is a multi dimensional scent that never gets boring.

A woody fragrance in the core wrap in juicy sweet orange note. There is a strong similarity with Bvlgari Tygar trademark with that woody ambroxan profile. As it progress the sharp ambroxan profile disappear and it gets more vanilic and gourmand with the caramel. Overall a unique summer fragrance although not my personal favorite.

It is such a sharp orange bomb on initial spray. On dry-down, it gives marine, fresh citric toothpaste and soap. It's so clean and aquatically green. It has a minty undertone which is why I said toothpaste. It kinda softens into a synthetic, balsamic yet dusty/powdery, fresh and slightly salty and woody soap. It never loses the citrus btw it just gets a lot less strong than it was on initial spray, but that's to be expected, citrus notes are barely ever mid or base notes, they don't usually last long unless done in a specific way that I don't know about. The caramel and vanilla base notes act more as undernotes, but do appear, although very subtly, after a while. It is SO not my style of fragrance lmao.

Pleasant ‘freshie’ but over priced for its genre. Carries the Xerjoff brand but if you have been around long enough you will dismiss it as there are plenty of designer, affordable scents out their that do the job equally if not better.

Straight away from the opening no african leather or musc ravageur people are crazy to compare them to this... this is 70% similar to symphonium tart citrusy opening with a chocolate opulent background same feeling as in symphonium less candy smell and more dry n spicy... Do i prefer this over symphonium? No Worth trying? I mean if u want to but nothing crazy better try symphonium but i dont mind this one

Truly doesn't make any sense that a sample is available at the XJ website but you cannot buy a bottle since it is exclusive in their Turin Flagship Boutique. I tried sending a message but no response. 8/10

Torino is currently available online to celebrate World Meteorite Day, until July 3rd, when it reverts to boutique exclusive, in case anyone is interested.

It’s like Symphonium but less candy-like and more spicy/vetivery. Very nice. I am selling my partial bottle in EU for low price, pm me for details.
