Warda al oud means rose oud in Arabic and this belongs to oud collection attar line which has 6 oils in its collection – This attar is not a typical rose oud combination I was expecting this to be and I will explain. As you dab this oil on your skin you smell Osmanthus with jasmine right now it a like a bouquet of flowers which has a touch of bergamot its very gentle and easy like flowers have just bloomed on moist morning there is no rose and oud at the moment however at 30 minute mark you start smelling rose – It’s not a typical dark or jam my rose however rose which is enveloped by musk and amber – this makes the perfume more masculine then the opening – at around 90 minutes mark I smell the entry of oud which soft and gentle and I am told its Cambodian oud which is easiest of all oud family to digest for beginners – this stays like this for 8 hours and soft projection and silage – This mukhallat blend never lets rose or oud take center stage like floral -amber – musk all are as present as rose and oud and that’s the reason I feel it’s not a typical rose and oud combination . I think it’s good and unique oil to experience and its totally unisex – I wore this during my trip to taj mahal and I felt Shahjahan personality would have suited this attar as he admired Taj mahal as prisoner from his room at Agra fort wearing Warda al oud .

This is one of the few wow factor fragrances you will ever encounter on your fragrance journey. I have 15 Xerjoffs, 15 Kilians, 10 Fragrance du Bois and this just stands out as one of the best. Opulent and luxurious like Pikovaya Dama, more exotic and sexy than FM Portrait of a Lady, it just leaps out of the bottle and seduces anyone it touches. It is so well blended you can't pick out notes...it just smells like one thing. Pure bliss with endless longevity and a scent that takes over a room - one drop on paper filled my living room for 8 hours! And with the Cambodian Oud you have not barnyard snakiness, but more of a deep and rich fruity base. Wow!

I’m not a huge fan of oud, however...this oil is something that has to be experienced. Imagine you’re in a very hot and dry place, horses around, wearing Caleche or Madame Rochas, and you’re only getting the aldehydes because that’s all you smell in the heat. But then you find a tea shop with air conditioning and tasteful flower arrangements on the tables. You start sensing more rose, less fustiness and a little fruit note that’s coming from the teas, and voila! That’s Warda al Oud, a severe scent in the beginning with a heart of gold. Absolutely stunning attar style perfume that showcases a beautiful smoky Omani rose surrounded by Assam Oud (non barnyardsish). The perfume opens with bergamot surrounded by osmanthus and jasmine. The heart is a nice noirish rose. The perfume settles on a note of Indian Oud, surrounded by musk, amber and vanilla. Absolutely stunning from the moment it lands on your skin with tremendous sillage and pojection. A beautiful composition that requires only a drop or so to take you to heaven. Enjoy!

I really really like this! Rose and oud - a very lovely perfume. It suits my skin so well; it feels like a second skin, and smells lovely! Very comforting.

This must be a lovely rose Oud for someone but not for me. Xerjoff perfumes are either hit or miss, however my all time favorites are Lira and Cruz del Sur. This gave me a major migraine. While there is a sweet prominent rose and Oud the amber turns this around.
