Wardasina

Wardasina - little rose, such a sweet tenderness attached to the name but it has nothing to do with the atomical rose trapped in the bottle. This perfume is so seductive, alluring & mysterious, my all time signature scent. It has an unapologetic intensity, a vivid burst of earthy green notes that feel almost molecular in the architecture of the fragrance. The heart reveals itself with immediacy and force. Rose takes center stage, unapologetically dominant, supported by creamy patchouli that amplifies its lush, narcotic character. The floral accord is expansive and opulent, with saphron contributing a pronounced indolic depth that enriches the bouquet’s sensuality. Together with the cedar, they form a radiant yet carnal core, unmistakably assertive in presence. Tobacco, musk & vanila morph togheter perfectly and offer such an sensual backdrop for the floral heart of this perfume, which is bold and has such a beautiful and complex depth. Projection is enormous, with a sillage designed to command attention...and it lasts too much, I can still feel it on a blouse from last summer. This is a composition that does not linger quietly, it announces, surrounds and leaves a trace. It is memorable, for sure, I've never smelled something that gives me the same feeling as this one does. I remember a few years ago, I was visitng my cousin and the next day he said that his whole bedroom still smelled like me. The next time I visited he made me rub my neck against his pillow case because he loved the perfume that much...he ended up buying it not too long after so I will definitely say this is indeed a unisex fragrance, I don't know how to explain it but it just smells like lux and opulence.

Most interesting find of the year, for me. I tried Black Afghano and though it was awkward and unfinished. Didn't like it at all. The cannabis note was too strong for me, and it felt oily, for a lack of a better description. Wardasina is basically a black afghano flanker. It takes a similar accord to black afghano, toned it down and smoothed it out, then added an old fashioned aldehydic rose, patchouli, and sweet tobacco to it. I have no idea how it works, but it does. The rose really finishes the fragrance, imo. The original felt like it was lacking a clear subject. There is no foil to the cannabis/amber/smoke accord. It lays flat. The rose/tobacco additions to this really give it lift and life. I also swear there are aldehydes in here, although not listed. The aldehydes also give it lift and sharpness. I feel like this is black afghano completed, even though it is technically a copy by Chris maurice. The original was flat, asphyxiated you. Wardasina, on the other hand, has this incredible 3-D feel. The ambery, cannabis funk fights with the sweet tobacco and vanilla, and the sharp, powdery rose cuts through all of it. The contrast it has is super interesting and elevates every individual component. Not actually the most well blended, as the perfume has elements that are too different to form a cohesive note. This stuff is really weird. Probably very divisive as well. I could see people hating this stuff. I love it though, personally. One of my most worn, and a bit of a dumb reach. Always stimulating. Absolutely beautiful.

Love from the first sight! Chriss Maurice, thank you so much for creating this beautiful fragrance for me! Unique, feminine and sensual. One of my favourites from Xerjoff Velvet Collection, overriding "Erba Pura", "Overture" and "Accento". Beautiful rich fresh green rose, vanilla, musk and something else mysteriously oriental (saffron perhaps). Fragrance fit for a queen.. I have sprayed it into my hair and onto my cotton trench coat before going to the Nativity play and I have received a few compliments as soon as I hit the hall. Luxury and authentic with six seven hour lasting power. I cannot identify any other fragrance, that obtains such an enormous longevity and projection. I feel empowered and wanted whilst wearing it!

This is so beautiful. Mature and has this vintage feel but completely wearable. I am truly in love. It is definetly different from anything i have smelled and something i have been looking for a long time. Upon first spray it was love and it only grew bigger with driedown. Beautiful unsweeten rose, well blended patchouli, smooth and musky. Honestly has this vinatage quality in the best possible way, It makes it so unique. This is definetely grown up secent in my opinion, to my nose done to perfection.

A smoke bomb of dry greenery and a bouquet of dry roses. Opening is super challenging. Took me a while to fall in love with Wardasina. It was a blind buy fail at first, but then I tried it in the cold drizzle of November rain... there is nothing that I experienced that can be compared with this feeling. This blend is so dry, that it needs very high humidity to open up all the faucets. Very cozy, all day projection, so easy to wear in the right weather

You get the saffron and the tobacco rose. This scent is discreet and soft. Only the opening is scratchy in the first minute, but then it settles into a soft powdery oriental rose with green undertones. The vanilla gives just a minimal hint of sweetness as it is tamed by the green notes. It is absolutely unisex. I wish it would project more and last longer. On me it turns into a skin scent after two hours.

Against my better judgement, I blind bought a bottle of this based off of the comparisons to Black Afgano. This one sure doesn't disappoint. Picture a slightly more feminine BA mixed with the almost plasticky rose from TF Rose Prick. This one isn't as loud as most Xerjoff releases, but it lasts quite a while with nice scent trail. I'm so glad to have picked this one up!

Batch 2023 Reminds me of Tom Ford Cafe Rose, just more anchored, less watery and stays longer on my skin (Cafe Rose stays for hours on me only if weather is cooler and humid, rainy, in summer it lasts about 15 minutes top). Similar drydown as Armani Prive Rose dArabie. I love this, rose is watery fresh, floats above cloud of spices. Oriental but not in your face.

Wardasina, or little rose: oh no, I don't agree here! This is a great rose, which when mixed with tobacco and saffron takes on a very sensual, particular character, which I really liked. I see myself in a red dress, elegant and exalted even more by this wonderful fragrance. Definitely ended up on the wishlist. “The woman in red” painted by Boldini.

If you are looking for a feminine version for Black Afgano this is the best one to my opinion. Take the base of BA and ad rose, powder, patchouli, and a subtle tobacco. Elegant and classic, one of my favorite fragrances. Especially for important occasions or events.

rose spicy bokhour wood. didn’t like it the first time i smelled it but after i sprayed all over it smelled different. definitely not a beginner perfume. leans a little to a feminine side but when it settles it gives a unisex rich vibe

I wore Wardasina to work today and received an unsolicited compliment (the only ones that count) from a lovely woman who said that I smelled so good that it was unbelievable. I think that I’ll continue wearing this.

Finally another xerjoff that I probably will like with more wears. It has POAL vibes in this. Tobacco, woody, rosy, patchouli, lovely scent with very good silage and projection. A few sprays is enough.

No reformulations, all the fragrances are absolutely the same just rebottled. So far I never experienced any reformulations with Xerjoff/Sospiro fragrances.

A warm, woody, and very soapy rose. Opens sweet-green and almost gelid, but that accord dries down quickly, becoming warmly spicy and slightly salty. I feel like I underestimated Wardasina somewhat in my initial review. The unisex quality here is really strong, IMO. I love the way it has both that elegant, bright, rosewater vibe of a more feminine scent but paired with a deeper, sharper, and spicier aspect that pulls masculine. For my own personal tastes, if the tobacco and vanilla notes were swapped in order of prominence, that would probably take it from like to love. However, that would also make this less of a great masculine black-tie fragrance, which is where I feel it would shine best as it currently stands.

Like fresh rosewater soap, muddled together with mulchy-brown tobacco and grassy patchouli. The rose is crisp, fresh, and elegant, but the wood and tobacco accords give it a little bit of mulchy darkness that makes the soapiness of the rose lean quite tangy and sharp. I used to adore Rosewater by Crabtree & Evelyn (long discontinued), and this strikes me as the slightly masculine-leaning version. On a woman I could see it being a more casual fragrance, because crisp, classy florals are standard fare in feminine perfumes, but I think on a man it has a debonair elegance to it that reads more formal.

The dry down of this perfume smells like traditional Suzhou fan/Sandalwood fan. REALLY. From my nose, this is Rose with sandalwood, a little bit powdery. I know there's no sandalwood on the pyramid. But I really think it's included. The scent is so nostalgic. This fragrance is exactly that kind of smell, very very similar. 'Coz my grandma & mom always carried them when I was young as weather here is so hot during summer. Those fan is scented, made by sandalwood. Quite lovely and nostalgic, lovely bottle too. I quite want a Full bottle! Longevity is great. Moderate sillage. Leans feminine. "LIKE"

This initially reminded me of baby talcum powder and I thought it cleaver to capture this aroma as a fluid. I thought for myself it would be an unnecessary purchase ~ until later that evening when I thought I have so many strong fragrances that something soft could go down rather nicely so ended up purchasing this fragrance. I detect a very soft and gentle rose and little else. Soft ~ Gentle ~ Baby Powder ~

First thing first, I’m not a rose person except it’s done right with oud then that’s another story. Also, I’m not a big fan of powdery scent either. And Wardasina is basically a heavy rose-scented powder on a bunch of wet tobacco and I don’t think I’m in for it. *kicking myself for blind bought this one right now.* The top note with this greenish feeling mixed with deep/ dark Bulgarian rose confused me. I felt like smelling an early stage of rotten fruits that had been left in the fridge for several weeks but it wasn't that rotten yet. After that, it turned powdery-soapy rose vibe and it was just so strange to me. At this point I hope when tobacco and vanilla reveal themselves in the dry down everything will be ok again...but it wasn't. I barely picked up vanilla but yes, there was some kind of wet tobacco smell sitting there in the background yet quite strong and still a bit unpleasant to my nose. I'm sure people who love rose would find it one of the good rose fragrances out there. The quality is up to Xerjoff standard, that's no doubt. But it's just me that couldn't understand it properly and sadly I would have to let this one go soon. :'(

I think the notes might be listed in the wrong order. I dunno man, first off, all the action is in the top notes, saffron tobacco rose and some scratchy cedar, all hit your nose at once, making for a lovely combo, and the top notes last a while too. It’s really nice too i gives a hint of a masc vibe in the opening. That’s said, after about an hour it becomes a soapy rosy patchouli fragrance. I’d actually appreciate it was just a linear rose saffron tobacco cedar combo all the way, like a extrait de parfum, with just a touch of patchouli and or tonka or vanilla for some richness. Not worth retail, but very worth it at discounters. I blind bought it, I’m happy, but I don’t recommend doing the same. If you’re looking for an groundbreaking unisex rose drydown, you might be dissatisfied.

I mostly get powder, musk and rose radiating off of me. When I bring my wrist to my nose I get spices and tobacco. I also get something a little funky in the background. It is nice but in the end I am underwhelmed. For a Xerjoff product it does not project much off of me. I also think it is too feminine to call it a unisex fragrance. I can’t help but think of baby wipes. As the day has worn on I am enjoying the fragrance more and more It ends up being a toned down version of more than words but not as fruity. Good stuff.

A tobacco rose from xerjoff sounds really promising, but this one doesnt live up to the expectation i have. The tobacco here is really strong, to the point that i thought there was oud in this perfume (probably because the tobacco is mixed with patchouli). As it settles, its getting more powdery, plus the ouddy/tobacco note is still there. Not a fan of this one.

if you know Laylaty - it is the same plus rose. Wardasina translates as "My rose". It is not "my" rose, I would say it is a very specific rose with green notes in the opening. Saffron on the background and some kind of smokiness. It is hard to wear, not versatile at all - rather for special occasions, particular mood or evening.

This is more a rose and baby powder type fragrance than an amber tabacco scent. There is a slight warmth and the powdery accords are likely from the cedarwood components. This leans feminine and men who are exploring floral fragrances can try this though I can’t justify paying the price

Not bad but very bland. The greeness with the rose and tobacco makes it a bit more different, but the drydown is a very typical take on a rose fragrance. There is something earthy about it though - it is not overly sweet and the balance between the notes is good

Xerjoff Wardasina: A Nuclear Rose First of all, I want to emphasize that I am writing this review from a man’s perspective; ladies, feel free to ignore this. Although it is marketed as a unisex fragrance, its wearability for men is extremely low. On a woman, this scent might catch my attention, but on me, it felt completely out of place. The Composition: The "Screaming" Rose The notes consist of rose, tobacco, green notes, and a hint of saffron. While the saffron doesn't shout too loud, the rose dominates so fiercely that it practically screams. Since this is Bulgarian rose, it’s quite different from the Turkish roses we are used to. It feels as if you left a giant rose in a closed room full of tobacco smoke and placed some saffron next to it. This explains why some people call it a "spoiled rose." It doesn't resemble any other rose perfume, and it certainly doesn't smell like Black Afgano. The Performance: Nuclear Levels This is a fragrance for a woman with distinct tastes who wants to grab everyone's attention. For men, it’s just not a good fit. The longevity and projection are at nuclear levels. Never spray this in a closed environment; it will suffocate both you and everyone around you. The Gym Incident I once sprayed just two pumps of this on my tracksuit before going to the gym, and the entire hall ended up smelling like roses. I will never forget that workout—and I’m sure no one else there will either! :D

This perfume smells intensely like rose scented soap. Perhaps it is one of those perfumes that is an “acquired” taste, but I didn’t find it to my liking. After 45 minutes or so of spraying it on my wrist, I couldn’t stand it any longer and went to wash it off. It’s very strong—I had to wash twice and rub vigorously to get the scent off my skin.

This perfume smells of Johnsons baby shampoo when it dries :) pay 300 euros for baby shampoo?

This is something that will be very hard for people to enjoy, but those who enjoy it will enjoy it very much. The best way to describe this is expired roses, quite literally it smells like the roses that died on the pot, seen other people say it in the comments too. If you ever taken dead roses out of the vase you know exactly what I’m talking about. But even though it smells like rotten roses it has a weird beauty to it

Beautiful, superb rose patchouli fragrance. On me it smells like the winter version of Portrait Of The Lady (Frederic Malle) - deeper and a little less airy than POAL and that ́s exactly I was looking for. POAL is one of my beloved fragrances but in winter it feels somehow too light to wear. In wintertime I always prefer very dense perfumes that warm you and Wardasina is just a perfection. I don’t mind tobacco note in perfumes (though I don’t smoke), however, on my skin I almost cannot detect it as a separate note. EDIT: Just received my bottle and literally CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES! The beautiful red velvet bottle is all stained from the black velvet holder inside of the box! Almost 300 Eur worth bottle? Really, Xerjoff? Really? If you cannot make it right just stick to the glass bottles. Though I still love the smell it ruined my experience completely.

Received this sample from Amaris after purchasing Naxos,Don,Erba Pura,K’Bridge club & More than words. Sprayed it on my arms the next and immediately fell in love with the tobacco notes and Bulgarian rose that I had to put it in my frag wish list.This gives me a Arabian attar kinda vibes,duh wardasina is rose in arab 🤣🤣.This easily last more than 8 hours on my skin and fills up my entire bedroom.This is not office friendly as it may offend others.Can’t wait to get this on my next fragrance shopping.

@ADNisHere's review below is spot on. Absolutely, feels kind of macho, with a blast of thorny red rose, superbly blended. Sandalwood though not listed is dominant here. There are subtle incense nuances. As it dries down a slightly sweet soft tobacco comes through more. It's very unique. This is up there when you want to consider true Rose fragrances, without falling in the category of the popular oud-rose mixes that are becoming so common. Unisex, gorgeous and strong, really amazing, I love this.

Think Portrait of a lady with saffron and tons of orientals amped up. Screetchy green opening lets through beautiful rose patchouli saffron combo. Love for me! I don’t get baby wipes at all, I actually get more of a makeup powder vibe. Tobacco roars its animalic head resulting in a beautiful warm rose. Modern and classic, and super long lasting. NSFW- if you love POAL you may really enjoy this.

Wardasina is truly a unique scent! The rose is definitely the star here, but it's not your typical sweet floral. It's more complex and spicy, thanks to the saffron and patchouli. The tobacco base adds a warm, sensual touch that lingers beautifully. It's a head-turner for sure!

Tobacco and rose. They dont fight each other. The other notes setup a stage for them to fight but they chose to hug each other. The other notes watching them said "awwee" Then you walked in the stadium this is what it smells like. Its smells like a feeling or an emotion.

Une impression de "déjà vu" olfactif : ça sent bon mais ça attaque un peu le nez à l'ouverture.. Des notes assez communes : j'ai déjà senti une ou plusieurs autres versions qui m'ont davantage plu. Trop de patchouli pour moi.

Guns and Roses. Smells like a beautiful red rose inside a mafia man’s pocket that full of gun powder and tobacco. Magical.
