White On White

White on White truly surprised me in the best possible way. At the very beginning, there was a moment where it almost reminded me of white chocolate - soft, creamy, and comforting - which immediately drew me in. Within a few minutes, the fragrance settled and revealed its true character, and that’s where the magic really started. What I didn’t expect at all was that this would become my first fig fragrance and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. The fig note feels incredibly refined: creamy, milky, and smooth, never green or sharp. It blends beautifully with the other notes, creating a scent that feels clean yet sensual, modern yet comforting. There is something very calming and elegant about White on White. Every note feels intentional and perfectly balanced - nothing stands out too much, yet nothing is missing. It’s one of those fragrances that feels luxurious without trying, understated but deeply memorable. I love how versatile it is. I can already tell this will be perfect for summer, especially on warm days when I want something soft, intimate, and refined - but I also see myself wearing it effortlessly throughout the other seasons. It has that rare quality of being seasonless: fresh enough for heat, creamy enough for cooler days. All in all, White on White feels comforting, sophisticated, and quietly addictive. I didn’t expect to fall for it this hard, but I truly love it and I’m genuinely excited to wear it more and more.

Finally!! I've found my favorite fig fragrance!!! After looking for so long, trying fig after fig - this one is perfect. It does semi remind me of Mirabile but this one may be easier to wear. Even though I adore that one too. I can also see comparisons with Shunkoin but this one draws me in more (I decluttered that one). This is a creamy warm cocooning fragrance, notes feel perfectly balanced. The patchouli is there but not strong. The tolu balsam I can't really pin point it. Although this has fig - it doesn't smell very figgy. Definitely not a green fig. But also wouldn't call it fruity. But the fragrance is creamy so it probably adds to that aspect. This is one of my favorites from Xerjoff. Not as much as a "white t-shirt" fragrance as I was expecting because of the warmth and a little bit of sweetness it gives off. This is a grown-up gourmand. Does not smell like food. Blended superbly. Nothing overpowering but has a presence. Quality is typical of XERJOFF. I truly love this.

The opening is predominately a vanilla coconut fragrance. After about 10 minutes, the sandalwood and Amber comes out. The dry down is extremely milky and creamy. This is a unique fragrance that nothing else smells like in my 120+ bottle collection. As usual with Xerjoff frags, this oil is high quality. That being said, the longevity is only moderate (6-8hrs) and projection is slightly below average, sits about an elbows length. Oddly enough, I love this stuff anyways though. Easy keeper for me, regardless of performance, which is rare because i usually like my fragrances to be known around me. If you are into unique niche fragrances i highly recommend you check this one out. I got it at Neiman Marcus in Houston TX. Apparently it’s not sold anywhere else in the states, so happy I was able to get my hands on it. It’s unisex for sure, and thats coming from someone who predominantly wears masculine fragrances.

An addicting fluffy creamy & milky cloud like dream. I can’t get enough! Update : This truly has me in a chokehold. I love perfumes that I can't stop sniffing. This one takes the CAKE. I will spray it on and then hold the soft bottle and sniff the bottle. There is actual crack in this, I'm positive. I LOVE, I LIVE for this. Perfect for spring/summer and sleeping. One of my top 3 bedtime scents. YUM!

My absolute favorite scent of all time. My signature.it lasts for days on my clothes, projects moderately and makes me drool without being too gourmand. Powdery, Marshmallow, soft, cuddly. I takes about 5 min Utes to settle and develop but its amazing. Not “date night” or “sex in bed” but rather casual enough to wear every day yet still beautiful. More of a cooler weather scent as it is quite cozy

If you like Blanche Bete you will love this one!! I get coconut, milky, amber goodness. So far I love it!! It has sits closer than Blanche Bete on my skin. The longevity is great 8+

Sampled directly from Xerjoff and gave this a two day wear. I also own Shunkoin by Xerjoff and sampled Blanche Bette extensively. -The fragrance: This is a warm, cozy, creamy and pleasant scent. I pick up on the bergamot very mildly in the beginning only. I don't pick up fig or patch. The sandalwood in this composition gives off lightly toasted, lightly sweetened coconut flakes. It is balsamic and the vanilla kicks in to add a little bit of a sweetened rum note in the dry down (reminds me a little of A Balm of Calm drydown from Penhaligons). It's a little spicy also. Almost like smelling Girl Scouts' Caramel Delights cookies. Gives off a decently projecting scent bubble for about 2 hours and then fades into a very light, sweet, ambery-musky skin scent. I can hardly smell it after two hours. -Comparisons: Slightly similar coconut vibes to Blanche Bette but these are two completely different fragrances. On my skin, Blanche Bette pulls into a sour, lactonic, drydown and the initial magic fades rather quickly. While White on White (WOW) is more linear, the top lasts much longer and it is not lactonic, though creamy. If I had to choose, I'd pick WOW. In comparison to Shunkoin, VERY SIMILAR overall in the way the sandalwood projects like coconut, but Shunkoin has more depth, bite and character with the tea notes. It projects better and lasts much longer. In fact, if it weren't for the difference in performance and that distinguishing tea note, I would have initially thought I sampled Shunkoin. Redundant to own both IMO and I'd choose Shunkoin over WOW. Both however, are pleasant and neither are screechy to my nose.

I'm sitting here with my bottle of Shunkoin and an original sample of WOW which I've been only testing for a day... When I first smelled WOW I said to myself "This is Shunkoin, why would they create a duplicate, are they going to discontinue Shunkoin?" But when I did side by side comparison I changed my mind. They are different. And I much prefer WOW. Shunkoin has more "bite", probably due to "tea" note although. Sandalwood smells coconut-y from the beginning till the end. In summer it turns sweeter on my skin. Its "powderiness" resembles Cuir Beluga. Sandalwood in WOW is very milky and creamier though you will have to wait for that milkiness to come through (on my skin it took at least an hour). I don't know how Tolu balsam smells but this definitely something balsam-y and that gives it a mysterious vibe. The notes play with you for hours - just when you think it starts becoming sweet the sweetness hides but still peeks through. When you think it is turning into a sandalwood forward scent - it changes again. Shunkoin is easier to understand fragrance, I'm not saying it's flat but if you compare them side by side you will know what I mean - there're dimensions in WOW. As time goes on these two become less and less similar. Don't judge WOW by the opening phase only, give it time. It's a beautiful fragrance.

COCONUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then it gets milky. Honestly, I am very surprised that coconut is not listed in the composition. The first moments with this perfume is very, very olfactorealistic fresh coconut. It's a real kick in the head, it's loud and undeniable. Then it softened to something milky-creamy-almondy like a Raffaello candy ball. For me the composition it top of coconut, very prominent. Middle notes whipped cream, amaretto. Base vanilla, musk, patchouli and sandalwood. I actually checked twice if I have the correct sample because I get nothing of these listed notes on me... P.S. BE CAREFUL! THIS JUICE STAINS. I can clearly see dried spots on my white t-shirt where I applied it.

White on White has ruined me for other musks. I made a pact with myself: no more full-size bottles unless I'm violently in love. Like, “finish a sample, then a travel size, then propose with a full bottle” kind of love. A perfume has to earn my attention, I'm not interested in a passing fancy. Enter: this sneaky little Italian heartbreaker. Fresh? Yes. Musky? Absolutely. Multi-dimensional? Like a Netflix drama with five plot twists. It's got this subtle milky thing going on—not the kind that makes you gag in an elevator—but the kind that whispers. There's citrus, there’s green, and there’s me obsessively sniffing my own wrist like I’m trying to find out who robbed me (it's the perfume, it stole my heart). Normally, perfume ghosts me after an hour. This one? Still calling, texting, and showing up at my door six hours later. We’re basically in a committed relationship now. Also, nobody else has it because it’s not sold in the U.S. So not only do I smell amazing—I smell exclusive. I upgraded to a full bottle, so I am selling my 5ml sample in my Mercari by the same name.

Smells a lot like Mirabile by V Canto, a gourmandy patchouli. Not bad but not my cup of tea...

This is such a weirdo. The first layer is WHITE: the moment I sprayed it I got white chocolate, white chocolate liquor and maybe Baily's, tiramisu cream with Mascarpone (without coffee and chocolate, just the cream), whipped cream. It was a nice powdery sweetness that was covering the GREY layer that I found to be so dirty and totally messed up. When the gourmand cloud starts fading away I get a mix of the worst fig, bitter green and woody, worsened with Patchouli and something balsamic (probably Tolu, but usually I like Tolu, so not very sure). Then there is a typical modern Amber-Musk of Xerjoff. One hour later the projection becomes pretty weak, yet it still maintains something from the first " white layer". The "grey layer" does not project so much, but it stays on skin as a dirty mess. Sometimes I even get the whiffs of mold. Dina_France (perfume reviews on YouTube)

I was intrigued by comparisons with Blanche Bete, but in my opinion they are completely different scents. White on white is dusty coconut with sharp woods, no sweetness here at all, I’d say it’s even bitter. I get nothing creamy or lactonic here. White on white reminds me of Shunkoin a lot, but Shunkoin is smoother and better blended.

Déçue pour ma part ... je m’attendais à un jus crémeux et un minimum gourmand ; niveau texture ça m’évoque davantage la poussière de plâtre et le sucre glace des chamallow que leur aspect moelleux. Ce n’est pas du tout le bon parfum pour les amateurs de guimauve ni celui pour ceux qui cherchent quelque chose d’épuré comme pourrait le suggérer le nom ! Beau flacon, belle idée mais pour moi ce n’est pas ça ; avec les mêmes notes pourtant j’ai été séduite par le Gris Charnel de BDK. Ni frais ni gourmand, un entre deux un peu bancal pour mes goûts : cependant il trouve son public car je remarque que la plupart des autres commentaires sont plutôt positifs. Peut-être est-ce ma peau !

i've been generously lounging in this over the last few months, especially the last 4 weeks where I actually went ham with it, I've almost finished the bottle ffs. Despite my urges to restock every perfume I remotely like, I will control myself this time and wont be rebuying this as I dont wear it outside- but I had a sweeet time with her. Its an extremely comforting creamy lactonic fig and coconutty sandalwood concoction...hard to dislike, shunkoin has been on my list to try for a while and I'm glad its close to this, I'll be buying that next if i begin to miss this. also my cat started smelling like this bc id spray it so much loool, best smelling cat ever

I've finally found a Xerjoff I'm not wild about. I thought that was Symphonium, but it grew on me. I gave this one some time too, and while it's a good fragrance of course, I just don't think it quite suits me. Very powdery, which isn't always a problem for me, but I wasn't loving it in this one. I could barely tell it was supposed to have fig, definitely not prominent like in Philosykos, which I do like. Didn't get much bergamot either. Mostly woody, patchouli, ambery, powdery vanilla. I wouldn't call it gourmand, as it doesn't smell like food. Again, really nothing wrong with it, just not for me. I love Lira, Dama Bianca, Dolce Amalfi, and La Capitale.

Without looking at the notes...I just smell a very creamy coconut vanilla scent with a sandalwood and patchouli drydown. Very similar to Shunkoin mixed with Allende. I don't really get the fig. I guess I am interpreting whatever fig they used here as a coconut. It is an ok scent.

Creamy, musky...overall a nice fragrance. I love me some fig scents but was hoping the woods notes would shine through a little better on my skin. I get mostly musk. Might have to test out again... But worth the price tag? Likely not.

This smells shockingly coconutty on me but like, synthetic coconut. Sharp balsamic woody coconut. If that’s your thing then this is nice but how in gods name is coconut not a note in this

Almost exactly Shunkoin form Xerjoff. The first sniff is different, because of the fig in this one. But the dry down is exactly the same. But Shunkoin last longer.
