XJ 1861 Decas

In a fragrance line as strong and well-rounded as Xerjoff’s 1861, Decas, like its predecessors, stands out for its high quality and powerful journey it takes you through. I adore this fragrance. The opening is quite resinous and sticky, off the bat I could not smell the mandarin. Among that slightly earthy and balsamic opening, the mandarin slowly starts creeping out a few minutes in. The mandarin here is so refreshing and effervescent, you can almost feel its bubbliness. It certainly hides a bit behind the amber and resins, but its presence is undoubtedly bold. It turns what would otherwise be a winter date scent into a more playful, juicy twist that could fit in any season, any weather. Though to be honest, I could not sense the tobacco note in the beginning. As the fragrance progresses, you will definitely sense the “bubblegummy” sweetness of it. But honestly, what this fragrance really reminds me of is orange Ramune. The effervescence of the mandarin, the sweet hint of amber and vanilla, the stickiness of the resins, it really does create this candy-like refreshing beverage scent. The tuberose also creates a slightly creamy background here, but at least on my skin it was not overpowering. Don’t worry, it’s nowhere near as floral as, say, Diptyque’s Do Son. It’s like if you mixed Barq’s and Ramune together. And trust me, it is wonderful. This fragrance is very elegant. The amber and vanilla here don’t smell like other typical vanilla fragrances I’ve had. What really makes this fragrance unique is just how much the resins and mandarin elevate its linearity. Instead of being bombarded with sickly sweet notes, the very soft tobacco note (which shows its face much later in my skin) adds a slight dark twist that is so intriguing and creates a perfect (but not overpowering) contrast to the sweeter notes. The transition of a playful opening to a more mature sweet scent is done masterfully well here. This concoction of notes also means that this fragrance is truly unisex. I would find this fragrance just as sexy on a woman. As with plenty of Xerjoffs, longevity is not an issue. I’ve gone for 8+ hours with Decas on my skin and I can still smell it on me. Projection is not as loud as Erba Pura or Naxos, but it is still quite strong. I feel this fragrance wouldn’t work as well if it was much louder. And of course, the presentation and bottle design, as always, is stellar. Overall, Decas is one of my favorite pickups and I can’t wait to enjoy it more. I give it a 9/10. Only docking points because I wish the mandarin popped out earlier and the tobacco note could be a little stronger. Go get a bottle of this!

Their eyes meet and the chemistry is instantaneous, after a couple rounds of libations 1 Mill whispers into FF's ear, and moments later they're in the deep throes of love making, experiencing a connection, a bond that transcends both mind and body. Arriving at the most intense climax that either has felt in years before falling g asleep in each other's arms with pillow talk of what could be. Skip to nine months later and FF can't find 1 Mill, FF feels used and dirty, confused and without the support network to provide her with the stability of raising her unwanted bastard child, she puts this baby into a basket and rings the doorbell of the house of Xerjoff to exit permanently from her unrequited and torrid love affair with 1Mill and everything that would ever remind her of him. Somehow this becomes a blessing to this sweet, fresh, and unique little bastard. This unwanted, forgotten and abandoned child has grown into a beautiful, mature, classy, sexy, and sophisticated fragrance. That's how one might describe Decas 1861.

After almost two years of pining over Decas, after a test store, I have finally purchased a bottle and I couldn’t be happier! If you’re into a creamy, very resinous, soft spicy, warm, vanilla centric perfume with strong citrusy, tobacco accents, you’ll adore Decas. It’s a perfect blend of all of these elements but it smells super approachable. Xerjoff is indeed a niche house but some of their fragrances are crowd pleasers, whether we speak about fruity fragrances, amber fragrances, fresh or aromatic fragrances, lots of them are very popular because they’re good quality, long lasting but easy to wear and understand. Which I find it is the case with Decas. More of a cold weather perfume and unisex going towards masculine side. My husband loves Decas even more than me, so don’t be scared that it has tuberose in the top notes, it’s very faint and adds a creaminess to the juice, it’s not a standout note. I don’t really notice the tuberose in this perfume! For me, Decas is an authentic ambery, resinous, balsamic, warm, gently sweetened vanilla based perfume with excellent sillage and longevity. It’s not topping Naxos, from the same collection, XJ 1861, but it’s beautifully crafted! Super thrilled to finally own a bottle in my collection.

Opens up with this warm, realistic, and almost tart mandarin with only a nuance of tobacco. I don’t get the tuberose per se. The middle part is a powder fest! If you don't like that, don't even bother checking out Decas. Luckily, that tones down as it move to the dry down and what's left is an elegant, luxurious resin-musk combo. The bourbon vanilla is very fleeting then. On me, the mandarin lasts for the entire journey of this fragrance. The orris-benzoin-oppoponax combo in the heart almost warded me off from getting Decas, but the one-of-a-kind opening has a chokehold on me. Well-blended and doesn't smell cheap whatsoever. Quite an underrated one from Xerjoff, imo. Truly a versatile one, I could see this working on anyone, anytime and anywhere, but maybe keep it minimal on ultra hot days and official settings as it could become too sweet on extreme heat and kind of playful (bcs of that slight bubblegum vibe) on formal scenes. Although I love it, I don't recommend blind-buying this. Even if you've smelled it, get a sample and live with it first. Charming, great longevity and luxurious-smelling. As usual from the house.

⭐️This composition opens with a spectacular Calabrian mandarin, Tuberose and Tobacco combo. ⭐️The middle stage of the composition is sweet, soapy and resinous with Benzoin, Opoponax and Italian Orris Root. ⭐️The base is a balanced sweet and sexy stage with Bourbon Vanilla, Resin and Musk. This fragrance is really niche in the good sense of the term and you will differentiate each stage of the composition and feel the high quality of the ingredients used. It is like if Pikovaya Dama which is one of my favorite Xerjoff fragrance and the most beautiful tuberose had a shiny golden baby.🌟🌼🌟 The combo between Iris, Tobacco and Tuberose works really well on my skin. It is an uplifting and luxurious fragrance to wear during spring and summer with a nice polo or a white shirt and khakis.🧍🏽 Projection and sillage are moderate on this one. It is more an intimate scent that will last between 4 hours and 5hours depending on your skin chemistry. I am really thankful to have this alluring creation in my little collection but I recommend you to sample it and try it on your skin before you buy because it’s a special one. 😊🤲🏽

Decas is one of Xerjoff’s latest releases, a 10-year anniversary release of the Xerjoff 1861 collection. It’s primarily a sweet, fruity amber with some powdery touches, featuring a note mix of benzoin, mandarin, tuberose, tobacco, orris, opoponax, balsam, musk, and vanilla. So it’s primarily resinous, rather sweet, with hints of flowers and tobacco to keep things interesting, even if both are fairly limited relative to the sweet/resinous dominance. Decas is dense but restrained, clearly very strong in terms of concentration but not over-the-top in terms of composition, despite being quite sweet, but it’s quite lovable for fans of ambery and sweet fragrances like myself. It’s nuanced and probably all the more satisfying for it, as there are hosts of amber fragrances out there of all kinds at various price points. It’s priced at 190 Euros for 100ml for US customers in the Xerjoff Universe online shop, which is so far the only official channel through which I’ve seen it sold, though like some exclusives, I imagine it’ll be available in department stores and boutiques at some point. 8 out of 10

Decas is definitely the best perfume in this serie for me also naxos is very nice, but I can't understand why Naxos is so popular when this scent exists. Now, to tell you about the perfume, it's a beautiful lemon, amber, and vanilla fragrance. The opening scent is a sweet lemon cake scent, then the lemon fades a bit, and the sweet warmth of amber, resin, and similar materials is accompanied by vanilla. If you look at my reviews, you'll see that I always give high marks to the perfumes I review because I have a long purchasing process and I've never bought scents I don't like, so these are my subjective opinions. Longevity 7/10 Public approval 10/10 (I won't include it if someone doesn't like lemon and vanilla cake) Bottle design 10/10 Scent spread 8/10 I'd also like to add that you can wear this perfume anywhere: office, on a date, or even blind-buy. If you don't have the opportunity to smell the perfume but like these scents, it's also suitable for blind-buying.

Orange, powder, ice cream, candy, youth, jubilation. This scent evokes happiness, summertime, springtime, fun, energy. Versatile for all weather. Very yummy. As a very very personal preference, I would like it if they dialed the powder down a smidge. I'm not a big fan of anything with excessive powder, as it obscures the photorealistic details of notes at times. This goes nowhere near that, and I will add that the orris is undoubtedly of the highest quality and wonderfully executed in this price range. It's a great facet I suppose. Xerjoff is masterful at creating photorealistic long lasting citruses. Whenever I see citrus on a Xerjoff fragrance, my heart grows wings and wants to climb out of my chest. I still love the overall scent, but I will knock it on how it sits on the verge of smelling 'perfumey'. Beautifully done vanilla, beautifully executed orange. I hate powder. The end. 4.75/5

That is niiiice - very natural, very well blended and worth the price. This is a unisex, but in a way it has some masculine, and feminine aspects instead of being everyone suitable. The tuberose here is not overdone so it's not really bubblegum like. It has some of the tobacco flower you'd know from Naxos or both Udens. The citrus components here while are very prominent, they never go full lemon or bergamot. It's more of a cozy, creamy, warm, sweet plus citrus and white flowers aroma - not edible enough to remind me of Edition Blanche. I wouldn't wear this in the summer, but otherwise anytime anywhere, while it is a unisex I'd rather smell this on my wife than myself. A nice (cheaper?) alternative to both Udens in my opinion. Will last you 7-8 hours with a very moderate projection.

Smells nothing like Amyris Homme by MFK. This smells of all that Jeremy Fragrance promised you'd find in Lacoste White, but you didn't. And I mean it in the best way possible. I smell a tamed, unisex, soapy tuberose with happy citruses notes and some woods. Tobacco lies very (very!) discretely underneath, and I guess its function is that of extending the masterfully dosed tuberose's creamyness: a drop too many of that naughty flower and this would be a full on feminine fragrance. I find it to be a unisex fragrance for the warm season, or for those moments in winter when that nasty summer nostalgia comes over you. However, if you're a man and don't have much experience with florals, I recommend you get a sample and give Decas a full wear before you buy.

Decas is not the easiest Xerjoff to understand from the beginning. The opening is not my most favourite smell I have ever experienced but give it time to bloom into a resinous, warm, semisweet, rich, bubblegum tuberose, vanilla, tobacco. It’s strong and long lasting with moderate sillage. I see Decas as a unisex scent, it smells a bit floral and sweet to my nose with a balsamic, resinous, warm, amber base. Personally, don’t see the connection between Decas and the alleged inspiration, the Italian heritage. There’s nothing in this perfume that would make me personally think of Italy when I smell Decas, but it’s nonetheless a gorgeous amber, tobacco, vanilla perfume. Great scent for cooler weather for both genders IMO. Instantly added to my to buy list!

It's a lovable fragrance, especially to the fans of ambery sweet fragrances like myself. Despite having a striking resemblance to Winter Palace by MeMo, Decas is more complex and has a more beautiful transition of notes throughout the wearing. You get a big blast of Orange and Vanilla on that VERY delightful - almost bubblegummy - opening. Imagine eating a piece of the most delicious vanilla cake while chewing a bubble gum. Funny analogy, but this is the best way to describe it. The tuberose then clings on the mid of the fragrance stearing it away from being too sweet, which then finally settles to a more resinous/tobacco dry down. I'm loving it so far but I'm still experimenting it's longevity, sillage and development in the high heat.

This can be considered the last course in this collection. It smells like an Italian dessert. Sweet but not too sweet much like most Italian pastries and the other sweet treats we have grown to love. Mandarin orange and vanilla but in a very reserved kind of way. A hint of powder like a delicate powdered sugar topping on the top of a cannoli. This is not a gourmand however. The sweetness is subtle and is used as a supporting role. Especially in Italian desserts, chefs will chop up candied fruit like apricots, cherries, dates or in this case candied orange peels. It gives the composition texture as well as a spontaneous change in your mouth. A sensory change. I believe this is happening here as well.

Such a delicious sparkling bubblegum in the best way possible! a well rounded, refined, very likeable and easy to wear scent. It may be the sweet citrusy mandarin-tuberose-vanilla/benzoin that create the bubblegum effect, it's absolutely yummy. If you don't like tuberose, don't be afraid of this - it's just mixed in with the other notes, barely smell it on its own. I feel it shines best in the heat, but works all year round. Unisex leaning just a tiny bit feminine. Edit: moderate projection and longevity. I finally figured out what this reminds me of: quince! Like the juicy quince in the opening of Pas ce Soir BDK. Still love it.

This is absolutely gorgeous for me. The opening is a beautiful spicy sweet mandarine orange and then it turns into a very very sexy musky amber. The amber here is just so so sensual, i don’t feel it’s very sweet and i usually don’t like amber at sll, i would call it sexy ambery musk, which is what i smell. Like the rosendo mateu 5 musky amber but not that cloying. I quite understand why some people voted the similarity with orto parisi. It has some... like 20% of the entire fragrance. But it has nothing to do with Orto. Again, sensuality in a bottle. Perfectly unisex. Performance is amazing. A great hit!

The last one added to the collection as the fourth in a trio of thanks and honors of the anniversary of Italy.. It has a well-deserved place here, and it wouldn't be nice if it were sold separately like the others, because the scent profile fits the whole story perfectly! From beginning to end, there is a pleasant aura - slightly sweet and fresh - tangerine with a tobacco base, tuberose, vanilla, a little musk, and a powdery vibe adds and rounds out the iris. Wearable everywhere - totally unisex! Xerjoff's art is made with great passion and desire to deliver the best possible product! Very nice release!

I like it, seems like a gourmand wearable in warm weather. Though I believe It's a bit on the feminine side, which I don't mind. I'm a big fan of resinous and balsamic accords which this totally includes. The tobacco is super well balanced, barely noticeable but It's there. Super creamy vanilla and powdery dry down. Performance is lacking. It was a blind buy but a bit of a disappointment even though holding the Xerjoff name. Bought a 100ml brand new bottle for 160$ (my currency - 310BGN) which is a steal since It costs 245 euros on the Xerjoff site. 8.3/10 use extra sprays ,don't buy full retail

Beautiful warm/hot weather fragrance that is far from a usual green, citrus or marine blend. Sure, it has Mandarin as its main note, but the underscore of vanilla, tuberose and Tobacco give it a wonderful light syrup sweetness that is like nothing else I've tried. Reviews that say it's the "summer version of Naxos" are spot on. Only issue is that it doesn't have the same nuclear punch as its counterpart, wearing out of its sillage after a few hours and fading a few more later. Still, compared to other frags in its exact class, it's still a strong performer and an excellent scent.

Xerjoff 1861 Decas lacks the oomph and that "Xerjoff-vibe" that I always get every time I spray a Xerjoff fragrance. With that being said, I think it still smells great. It's a citrusy fragrance that's good for spring and fall, because of the sweet vanilla and the ambery vibe, despite having no amber in the note breakdown stated on this website. The performance is also good, and I like the sillage that I can feel from the first blast. Not my favourite from the 1861 line, and definitely not my favourite from the house. BUT, it is still pleasant.

This is incredible for one reason. If you are a man you can wear it confidently as a masculine fragrance, and if you are a woman, this will also be as feminine as it gets with fragrances, and both genders will feel confident...witchcraft perfumery. Very pleasant and very easy to wear three season (fall, spring, and summer) with mild sweetness and non abrasive or sharp citrus notes and a good foundation of resins for longevity. Can be a signature scent if found at a reasonable price.

I love Decas, Xerjoff has mastered something here, delicate yet strong, and I'm here for it. I sampled this and placed an order the next day. Its on the opposite side of the spectrum with Naxos, where Naxos is like a bull through a China shop (Which I love). Decas is like a beautiful elegant bird floating through the soft cool breeze. Its gorgeous and I think its worth sampling. Oh, and yes, there is a sweet bubblegum kind of drydown, but I like it.

This finally came in as a Valentine’s Day present and I am shocked, this is super resinous. Off first spray, it’s really orangey and ambery, with what I can only say is a very loud, almost bubblegum-like sweetness, like what people on TikTok are saying. Dry down is heavenly, with lots of vanilla and resin. The performance is good with mid sillage, presentation is top notch, and the bottle is nice. Only buy if you love resin and amber heavy scents

this MIGHT be the best xerjoff fragrance ever created. the fact that naxos gets all the love while this exists is insane. one of the best amber fragrances ive ever smelled. kinda smells like ambre narguile by hermes but without the cinnamon and honey. its almost like a "Fresh" take on an amber scent, like it totally wouldnt be out of the wheelhouse to wear this in the spring. this is absolutely amazing, i will absolutely be wearing this often!

i have to say this is kind of brilliant. The transitions are amazing. For me the opening is very boozy like medicinal with vanilla. Then it changes into a more powdery ambery vanilla. More sweet. Then it changes to fruity bubble gum. Then it becomes a bit more airy. To my nose vanilla dominates from top to bottom. It goes from cold weather, to warmer weather. But day time spring is as far as I'd go. I'm ordering a full bottle as I write this.

I had a sample and really enjoyed it so I ordered a full bottle. I now have the full bottle and it has a weird burning rubber smell off the top. I never noticed with my sample and it is very unpleasant. It mostly fades away as it dries down into sweet ambery vanilla. I've had the bottle for a week and I believe it will go with maceration but just wanted to share and see if anyone else has a similar experience. Rating is based off sample.

Smells like a sharp, wet, luscious, bubble gum. Imagine a freshwater river in the mountains that gives off the scent of a sharp bubble gum- that’s exactly what this smells like. On top of that, the longevity and sillage is the best performing I’ve ever seen in a fragrance, and I’ve easily owned over 400. You can walk outside on a windy day and still actively smell the scent bubble around you... it’s insane. My number 1 fragrance for sure

Freaking phenomenal, just got a bottle and was love at first sniff, the dry down is so smooth and delicious very long lasting and backup bottle worthy for sure, nothing to do with one million, let me repeat it outloud Nothing similar to one million in any way, as always try it first bc every nose its different, i myself love this stuff and will get a back up bottle soon before they decide to reformulate this beauty, peace out ✌️

Wow this one is so wow, elegent gives you an aged vibes, Ok so the opening is crazy in an interesting way so pure so luxurious, and then it turns out to the remaining ingredients layering out through the mandarin you feel like it is aged in a fine way, tobacco barely noticed, but really enjoyable .. fu**** classy with classic touch luxury vibes, you like classics go for it 100% Sillage: 9/10 Smell: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10

I found this recently on eBay and man.,. what a discovery! Beautiful citrusy vanilla with amberine undertones. It’s a bit masculine leaning but it could just be worn by anyone who enjoys the juice. Opoponax, tobacco and tuberose take over as the dominant notes. Sillage is really moderate but longevity is great. I am so in love! Definitely recommend this as a blind buy. It ticks all the boxes for me 💯

Sweet and powdery with a hint of spicy tobacco on my skin. It's really well done, smooth, and long lasting. Yes, it has a bit of the bubble gum feel, but not in a cheap or immature way. For those who care, I've gotten lots of compliments from everyone, and I also got 1 complaint because I sprayed just once more than I needed to... this can be stronger than you might expect.

#849 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a lovely, feminine, floral, powdery amber. I know just the lady for it. I don't think it's grandma juice as some do. Young women can definitely wear this. Men, of any age, not for us guys. Initial potency and projection is pretty strong. I won't be wearing this through the day, so I'll have no opinion on its longevity.

for my uk people out there this smells exactly like dolly mixture imo. Super candy-like smell. The mandarin is very distinguishable, and i find the resinous notes and the bourbon vanilla stand out most to me. Would say it leans slightly more feminine but understand why it’s marketed as a unisex fragrance. Projection is good, lasts long, smells good.

You know what? This fragrance is really great. This is a very unique scent to me and will make you stand out in a good way. This fragrance actually preforms much better in the sun, really unlocks the resin when exposed to heat. Some may say it smells old, i’m 23 and to me, it smells like someone with a lot more money than me.

Slightly sweet amber fragrance. Startd off fizzy-citrussy-sweet and dries down to resinous amber and vanilla. Can be worn to almost any occasion/temprature, but I think, in hotter weather it works the best. Longevity/projection are solid but not outstanding. One of my favourite drydowns, I cant get enough of it. Gorgeous.

Unsure at first, then it snapped - like a lego out of place, you know it fits but you cant get it to click. I love it now. A unisex twisted fragrance- I smell an orange amongst the citrus, amber & vanilla or maybe a ambered-vanilla; RATED: It is never too late to become special.

I hate powdery scents in general. This is the only powdery scent I loved from my first spray. Snobs can hate it all they want. The muskiness in this one is very properly balanced with the resinous notes. I tried this from my friends bottle but going to get a full bottle soon.

An unsmoked cigar dipped in a sweet amber syrup sprinkled in powder. If you ever had a female teacher in school that had that one overly sweet candle/ wax burn in her room. It smells of this in the best most masculine way possible.

WTFo .. I am reading the reviews here and I think I had a wrong frag.. Of course it is a winter one, I can get lots of balsamic, vanilla, tobacco and musk and it is linear and potent. SUMMERY? u kidding?!

Another masterpiece from Xerjoff . Gorgeous, slightly sweet tobacco with fresh orange added to it . That's the way I can describe it. I will consider to buy it in near future.

Honestly, I much prefer this to Naxos. I'm not sure why this doesn't get as much praise/attention, but I find it much more wearable and better blended. Easy 9.5/10 for me.

It feels gourmandish even though it is not actually a gourmand fragrance (I think). I love it! Very subtle and versatile, but maybe more suitable for fall or cold weather.

Its amazing and maybe better naxos imo. I have all 1861 collection and this one is amazing. Addictive scent and so great longevity and projection
