Black Gold

Love at first sniff and a winner when it comes to longevity and projection. It exudes sexiness, class, confidence, boss babe/man. Initial brightness from citrus then warmth from amber accord with slight powder dust. I imagine it’s like a light dusting of a golden powder, if it had a color. There’s a sweetness as well but it’s never too much or too little. You ever eat Korean baked goods? It’s never too sweet but just enough to lure you in and afterwards you never feel guilty for eating your two servings. Blended nicely. I don’t feel any edges or sharpness. The sandalwood is smooth and silky and it allows for the vanilla goodness to anchor the dry down. It’s gourmandish, but not all the way to keep it addictive but not sickening. If I had to compare to another, It does remind me of instant crush minus the saffron. Def not the same but it gave me a similar vibe as if they were cousins. Black gold is more warm/ambery and the quality is totally there. This is not a quick cash grab like the thousands of new releases. You can smell the thought and care put into it. Well done!

Excited to be the first one to wear BLACK GOLD by XYRCLE. This one’s sexy, seductive and incredibly addictive. The opening introduces you to the lemon and grapefruit notes contributing to a bright, zesty, and refreshing feeling. The sweetness from the grapefruit emerges, adding a slightly sweeter and more complex citrus aroma, somewhat tangy and uplifting, with a hint of bitterness. Once settled on the skin, the amber and vanilla adds depth and warmth to this beauty while the orris shines beautifully! It reminds me of one of my high end niche frags just cannot pinpoint which one yet. Now, let’s talk about the sleek sexy gold & black bottle, pure class! I decided to wear it to my hubby’s basketball tournament where I received two compliments within the first 30 mins of my arrival. Aside from feeling sexier wearing BLACK GOLD, I am feeling proud of my frag bestie first release. Incredibly excited to see what the rest of the collection holds!  if you have not gotten your bottle, run before they sell out!

Andhika mastered the way to make a citrus fragrance! A masterpiece! There are thousand of citrus fragrances that smell the same. Black Gold is different though. Luxurious, very smooth, sweet and very versatile. This is not a summer fragrance. This is a whenever you want to feel rich, luxurious and sophisticated fragrance. The sprayer is the best I’ve ever tried. And I’ve tried over 3.000 fragrances at this time! The bottle is matte and heavy, the packaging on brand. I’m impressed!! For his first perfume, this is outstanding. This perfumer will go on to make history! 🐝

To me, this is an amber bomb with some sandalwood. I get some orange in the opening, but the fragrance quickly dries down and citrus notes fade. Very long lasting and projects straight out of the box, very high quality ingredients. Not sure if it’s for me yet because of the intensity of the amber, but I’ll keep going back to it. Update: after letting it sit a few days, I am now smelling the vanilla and the citrus sticks around longer, and the amber is more in the background. Definitely a keeper, I may even get a backup!

I've said before and I'll say it again, Andhika created something special with Black Gold! I FREAKIN LOVE IT!! If you want to stand apart in the best way possible, you need this in your collection. Black Gold is sweetened but not overtly sweet, it has depth along with a unique makeup of notes where one doesn't overshadow the other. I feel like this could even be described as seductive This is signature perfume worthy!

Black Gold is such a stunning fragrance. Very will balanced and sophisticated with the citrus, vanilla, amber, tonka, and sandalwood. Unisex and can be used year around. After I got my first bottle, I immediately ordered 2 more bottles.

This fragrance has a strong amber note. If you like it, go with Liquid Brun instead. Not that big of a difference at the drydown. Edit: So, i've let it dry down a bit. It's very close to liquid brun. Since I already have that fragrance, this one seems redundant. Not that big of a difference. I'll come back to this review in the future if needed.

I bought it (three bottles). I sprayed it.....a few times....on my left forearm. I waited 30 seconds to decide that I like it. Twenty minutes later I decided I L:O:V:E IT. The notes: TOP: Orange, Grapefruit, Lemon; MIDDLE: Peach, Amber, Orris; BASE: Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tonka Bean work beautifully together. Not too sweet, zero bitterness. No extras; nothing missing. The texture is smooth / silky / velvety; there are no rough edges. If I chose to darken it...I can layer it with an oud. I read that *BLACK GOLD* is Andhika Pratikto's first perfume.
