Andy Kaufman Milk & Cookies

I'm the lucky one in that this fragrance hits the spot, just like a late night of milk and cookies. It smells like rich, whole milk, french vanilla ice cream with large, broken chunks of Oreo cookies folded in. It's milky, but not that sickly sweet sour milk of other "milk" fragrances. More like the smell of Cookies & Cream ice cream melting next to cake on a warm day. And it's a "cold" chocolate, not a "hot" chocolate like Serendipity or nutty like "Chocolovers" or exquisitely floral chocolate like Guerlain's Coquin. It's not dark chocolate - it's quite sweet - but it's definitely not milk chocolate either. It's a surprisingly long-lasting powerhouse as well!

Here's an excerpt from my published review (search "Articles" for the complete text): What you get with Andy Kaufman Milk & Cookies is exactly what you expect: top notes of sugar and sweet butter, with a heart of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and a delicate note of creamy milk, followed by bottom notes of vanilla extract and white musk. (I don't specifically get the musk, actually, but it's probably responsible for the remarkable tenacity of this fragrance.) This is a true gourmand scent, with no perfumey abstractions of its foody notes. My nose even detects a little banana and coconut that are not listed as official ingredients. What sets it apart from the many other gourmands out there is its exceptional sillage and longevity. This one features high-quality ingredients, powerhouse sillage and it lasts and lasts. Two sprays under clothes were more than enough for a workday. Spray this one at night and you'll still be smelling it at lunch the next day.

I don't have the parfum I have the body "vibe" spray in this scent. It was much cheaper and since they don't supply samples it was the only way to test this. Altho I like it, I honestly don't get baked cookies from this nor milk, even tho it is creamy. To me it smells like buttery cookie dough. I get a lot of a sweet buttery scent more than anything else when first sprayed on my skin. Smells really sweet and yummy. So this is a very gourmand fragrance. But after awhile it turns into something else on me but not sure what it is. Maybe musk? The butter isn't as prominent. And I also don't like it as much on the dry down. Don't really get any chocolate or vanilla or cookie scent in general. Just buttery cookie dough kind of thing. Could just be my skin chemistry. Altho the parfum could be totally different on me. So this is a pass for me. Altho it's yummy at first I just don't think I could wear this for any period of time. Especially when it dries down. Worth a try tho if you like gourmands.

This is delicious! Like Choco Musk elevated to the heavens without the greasy aspect of CM's oil rollerball. I smell the milk enhanced by a warm vanilla. I smell the chocolate chip cookies. Exactly as the name promises: milk & cookies. Lasts a good 8 hours on my skin and 12 or more on clothes (does not stain). Garners smiles and compliments when I wear it. People love this stuff! I think it makes me seem approachable and friendly because, well, who isn't drawn to milk & chocolate chip cookies? I love it! Well worth the FB price.

This is intriguing. It's not something you would wear everyday. It's a scent you would wear to blow someone's mind. Pure chocolate. I bake often and well. This is straight up baking chocolate. Luckily, it doesn't have any bitterness. It's sweet but in a lofty way. No gutter sweetness here. On me, it's mostly a skin scent that magnifies easily with my body heat. Great longevity. I can't wait to get a full bottle.

This is a note for those who've been promising themselves a full bottle or asking for one as a gift this holiday season. There must have been some legal issues that developed with Andy Kaufman's estate because Xyrena has changed the name of this fragrance. They say the formula is identical but it's now called KILLIAN’S MILK & COOKIES

I like the creativity that goes with the creation of this fragrance. The chocolate note definitely is the main scent that I get from this. I would love to break down the notes and see what they all smell like individually. Nicely done.

I was so curious about this, I ordered it through a middle hand since Xyrena doesn't ship their perfumes outside the US. It cost me quite a bit of extra money, so it goes without saying I had high hopes about this. The quality of this is about the same as some of the cheapest perfume oils I bought on Etsy. It starts extremely plasticky, almost like a chocolate lipgloss in those little cute cupcake jars, and with a bitterness I can only describe as reminiscent of old marzipan. Bitter almonds and again bitter almonds. The hints of chocolate is that of an old chocolate scented eraser. The plastic reminds me actually of tiare flower in this one. Regarding my fellow reviewers below, I respectfully disagree that this is like Chocomania or oreos. I do not recommend this perfume. I have encountered all from the dirt cheap Choco Musk to Gourmand Coquin that costs several hundred dollars, being a huge gourmand nut, and I have yet to find something I dislike this strongly. It lasts for about 4-6 hours. Save your money!

I've never scrubbed a sample so fast. Just for that alone, it's kind of impressive! This is unpolished and rough as guts. Feels like three essential oils were thrown into a shaker, stirred with a stick, and poured into a bottle. It smells like a $2 children's "chocolate cupcake" lipbalm was left in the sun, melted, and then went rancid. If a cookie smelt like this I'd want the baker shut down. I had some high hopes for this one as I love gourmands but I just can't with it. Unfortunately it starts strong, stays strong, and clings to skin. Why is it always the awful ones that last forever? paneradfisk has it right - avoid this one, there are better gourmands elsewhere. If you must have "milk and cookies", layer some of the Demeters and make your own. Edited after thinking on this for a while: perhaps the difference is cultural. USAmerican chocolate manufacturers (definitely Hershey's, likely others as well) put their chocolate through controlled lipolysis, which results in the presence of some butyric acid - which is also present in parmesan cheese, sour yogurt, and vomit. Most other places in the world don't process their chocolate this way, and I had the same instinctive "NO" reaction to nibbling on various types of USAmerican chocolate after a friend carried some home from a holiday. So it's possible that this does smell like a choc-chip cookie... it's just that I have a very different baseline of what that's supposed to smell like!

-Chocolate Greedy, is that you? -Jokes aside, Milk & Cookies is a very very sweet fragrance. -Let's just say Chocolate Greedy is sugar-free keto-targeted dry cocoa powder; while Milk & Cookies is a realistic steaming-hot mug of sweetened cocoa. -This shines where Chocolate Greedy falls flat. It has the desired milkiness, and smells more realistic overall. (-)

I see mixed reviews but I truly enjoy this Chocolatey, semi-sweet, lightly milky, musky goodness. This lasts over 8 hrs on my skin. When I wear this people around always say "what is that smell, smells like a candy bar"..Thank You Xyrena!!!

I purchased this because I'm a gourmand nut... really. I am! The scent itself is nice, but I personally find it very similar to Chocomania by the Body Shop. Verdict is still out on this one...

This sounds terrific. If it has the lasting power of Andy's off-the-wall comedy, even better!
