Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

The way a homegrown tomato tastes-- you know, the kind that has a distinct essence of earth. It's so delicious that you can taste the dirt and sense the sunshine inside. It's slightly warm. You know it came fresh from the garden. The way the vine smells green. This fragrance is so accurate that I can sense the fuzzy hairs on the stalk. The green tomatoes that give off a satisfyingly clean "crunch" when cut through. It's oh so visceral and real and yummy and I think my quest for a tomato fragrance has proven fruitful. I have previously tried Margiela Replica "From the Garden" and that felt very perfume-y and wasn't quite what I was looking for. BUT! I think if I layer Attack of the Killer Tomatoes with that one, it would make something fancy-fresh, lovely. Or maybe even layer with a citrus. So many possibilities.

That is bar none, the most tomato-y tomato leaf I’ve smelled in a perfume. It’s sticking your face in a ripe tomato vine real. The opening is a photo-realistic tomato vine, it rounds out with more of the earthiness of the patchouli and soil. This is the smell left on your hands after working in the garden tending to your tomato plants. The dry down on this is a pleasant earth-y green fragrance, and on my skin lasts about >7 hours before I stop noticing it. As it sets in the loud tomato leaf settles quite a bit, and I’d think is more approachable for some that may not like more unusual perfumes.

The most realistic tomato vine/leaf fragrance I've ever smelled. I'm usually disappointed by tomato scents as they approximate "tomato" to the same kind of green sharpness you find over and over again in garden/tomato/basil candles, soaps and room sprays. This is in a whole different dimension. It captures the wet, lush, fuzzy green of the vine with depth and convincing character. I don't get much of the tomato fruit here, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing since the smell of the flesh isn't that interesting or prominent to begin with. Fairly linear, but you get what you came for. Bravo!

As others have said, this is hands-down the best tomato leaf fragrance i have ever encountered. this goes beyond a typical green profile of galbanum/chlorophyll/etc and rounds out the image of an entire tomato plant sitting in its pot. there's the smell of fresh soil after repotting, the fuzziness of the trichomes on its stem, and then, after you've plucked a ripe fruit from the vine, the snap of the tomato's skin split by a knife. it's impossible not to smile upon first impression.

An incredibly photorealistic tomato vine fragrance. I don't yet know if I'd ever dare wear it while out and about, but I get a lot of enjoyment from just wearing it for myself while at home.

The green leaves of tomatoes. May not win over others, but fun and fresh in a way I love.

Oh this is beautiful. All I could say was “wow” after first smelling it, this is absolutely fantastic. It smells EXACTLY like tomato plants, fresh grass, and maybe even a hint of gasoline from a ride on lawnmower. The patchouli in this really reminds me of DS&Durga Pistachio, and tends to take over as the dominant note for the remainder of this, which was a *little* disappointing as the tomato scent was so gorgeous and vegetal, but overall this fragrance was everything I hoped it’d be.

Extremely photorealistic tomato scent. Smells like walking through the garden after watering and stopping next to a big tomato plant. The tomato stem/leaf smell is amazing but it is accompanied by the smell of the actual tomato fruit that most perfumes exclude.

Honestly gross, I don’t get a pleasant wet soil scent I get musty mold. I get no green tomato vine or tomato, bummer!
