Nosferatu

Really great. A melancholic fragrance that feels especially perfect on a cloudy or drizzly day. Wearing Nosferatu feels like being enshrouded in a veil of fog. Wormwood famously turns cloying on me, so I avoid it like the plague. I am also very skeptical of most floral notes. And yet this fragrance works beautifully for me! It’s my first time smelling a dahlia note and I can safely say it is being added to my short list of pleasant florals. Something about the combination of notes creates an orris-root-adjacent accord on my skin, which is a welcome surprise as an orris lover. Plum is present here, but it's more of the slick, hard pit in the center of the fruit as opposed to the juicy flesh. Longevity is craaazy — easily 12 hours. Makes sense for a scent inspired by an ageless and ancient being such as Count Orlok. Musty and mysterious. From the VHS-style packaging to the quality of the fragrance to the affordable price point, Nosferatu is an absolute gem. If you want to smell like a stone gargoyle perched atop a building on a misty autumn day, this is for you.

So far this is my favorite Xyrena fragrance. The stone note is so strong and ties the floral and wood notes together perfectly. It smells like exploring ruins of a lost era and seeing flowers and trees reclaiming the land. This would be great for fall and winter. It can be woren in spring when the flowers are bloomed but it's cold again and cloudy. Xyrena has perfect sillage and longevity. It last for hours, but doesn't cling to clothes the next day. It's strong, but just below cough or headache inducing. I think it being made by a Texas is why. You can't make something too strong or the heat will make it closing. If you make it too weak, it'll be sweat off. Anyway 9.6/10 it should be a goth staple.

I bounce back and forth on whether I love this or just like it; either way, it's a good fragrance and very unique, unlike anything I've ever smelled before. The house really does nail that cold stone castle vibe. It's elegant, pensive, and complex. No corners skipped here. Great value coming in at 98$ MSRP straight from the XYRENA website, and the presentation is top-notch. I'll probably pick up a bottle this year if they don't sell out too quickly. I'm just not sure where and when I will wear it. The only CON: there is a faint plasticky note in the dry-down.

This is warm and spicy, woody and cozy. I feel like this is a good fall fragrance. It's giving clove cigarette, which smells good but it's not my vibe. I've tried 3 Xyrena frags so far and they are all 3 very good. I'm excited for my husband to try this because I feel like it will smell gorgeous on him.

Pretty surprising, I had to be frugal with the decant as this is technically a gift, but I think this captures the monster/his respective environment well. I can smell the wormwood, which I feel like I've gotten too familiar with now. It's a moodier, gothic-leaning, slightly powdery fragrance. There is a nice pleasant spice going on as well. Much more wearable than I thought. HOWEVER...... I can not say I endorse the FOMO/blind buying route this house seems to push you into considering, as they DO NOT offer samples due to allegedly licensing issues with the IP-based fragrances. It does not help that most of these are limited-batch productions, including their originals. So as of late July 2026, I can not even purchase official sample set (original fragrances only) are out of stock. Kind of shitty and I hope they restock soon.
