OG Kush

On first spray, all I can smell is Lush Cosmetics’ Grass shower gel (they made a perfume of it as well - both smell pretty much the same) I let it sit a while, waiting for anything resembling the scent of cannabis to appear, but it didn’t. I was hoping this scent would have the same cannabis note in their Space Cake perfume (minus the sweet and buttery cake batter) which, while not perfect, is one of the better cannabis notes I’ve smelled in a fragrance. If that is what leads you to seek this fragrance out, know that it is not what you’ll be getting. This is freshly mown lawn grass, new cedar woodchips, and the burnt-rubber note translates much more like soil with all of the green on top of it. I don’t get any incense at all - the resins in this are more like sap bleeding out of freshly cut wood. I don’t even find it particularly pine-y. I do still enjoy it because I love very green, fresh, earth-and-wet-trees-type frags, but a cannabis fragrance, it is not.

You know those novelty stores back in the day that were in a dark corner of your favorite Mall? Right next to the movie theatre and the Record Store? The one that had the blacklight posters in the back and the whoopee cushions, gum that would make your friends mouth turn black, hand buzzers and squirting flowers the front? This smells exactly like that store. A solid rendition of Nag Champa and pretty much every other incense in that damn place, mixed together. So if you want to small like an 80's 90's novelty shop, this scent is dead on. Does it smell like OG Kush Cannabis? Not. Even. Close.
