L'Automne De Hanoi

L'Automne de Hanoi, as the name implies, take me to the autumn in Vietnam. I am in some old building that is now used as traditional spice market. I always love the ability of a perfume to take us to some other place and time, and this for me, one of the aspect that is carefully brought about by the house in their release. A very niche smell indeed. At first the fragrance gives off a spicy vibe, but at times the green aspect comes out peeking, something that reminds me of coriander that is used in phō noodle soup. Magnolia provides enough soapiness that gives way to the dry down that could be summed as mossy sandalwood. It feels like a damp moldy asian building. It's gotta be an old wooden building after the rain. The mixture of the scent of wood with rain and mold. And i could be wrong, but there's a hint of petrichor as well. It's totally gorgeous, with moderate projection and longevity. While it's not for everyone, but if you search for something unique and gorgeous, this could be your cup of tea.

One of my favourites in the Y25 range, I find this fragrance to be very sophisticated. The Sandalwood note blends beautifully together with the green Moss note.
