Heritage Collection: Hyacinth

I LOVE hyacinth! This is perfect.

Why isn't the fragrance of hyacinth more popular? Is it considered the dreaded, "old lady"? It shouldn't be for hyacinth is one of the most seductive of nature's smells. Just sweet enough and undershot with a smell like rich tobacco. It's dry, powdery, almost dusty. Not a scent for the perfume novice, it is for the woman with a sense of self. Yardley's "Hyacinth" from their Heritage Collection captures this wonder of nature perfectly. The scent stays true from opening to drydown. Exquisite.

Spring in a bottle! A very authenitic depiction of the scent of hyacinth, which is to say very green, very fresh, slightly sweet and just a tiny bit urinous (you know what I mean). Delectable. The Yardley floral fragrances are absolute gems in my view. High quality, very true to life and unbelievably cheap, at least here in the UK. I have tried the orange blossom, lily of the valley, iris and of couse lavender. All excellent. Now I'm awaiting the arrrival of geranium, and considering getting daisy. Also, if you can get hold of the discontinued sandalwood, that is also gorgeous.

I am generally only a fan of Lilly and violet soliflores. Hyacinth can be pungent like Lilly or even strong jasmine. This is average and does represent the flower fairly well. Just don't drink your tea with this one unless it's in a beaker! You may even find yourself buying doilies. UK folk will get that reference.

I love the smell of hyacinth its so good! So im looking for a perfume that can recreate that smell im going to see if I can find it in the shops here because I believe this is a uk brand. Also kiku dont worry about it more for us !

I am wearing Eric Butterbaugh's Apollo Hyacinth as I type this---WHERE CAN I FIND THIS EDT IN THE US? I am begging---seriously--where?!?

I see this is hyacinth for women but want to know if Yardley Hyacinth for Men is also available?
