Game Palace Of Hell Master Night from the house of Ys-Uzac. A difficult composition to wrap your head around and a chronological continuation of its predecessor, Dawn. I feel that my understanding of it was attributed to a large degree by having a good experience with the latter. The two perfumes are part of the same olfactory story and collection, hence in a way, it makes sense that they complete each other. It feels simplistic to discuss notes and accords here as the perfume comes together in a way that conjures feelings, emotions, and places (real or imagined), like most creations of the house. To be able to go past the materials, beyond the note sheet, and transcend the artistic expression through emotion or a place and time is what Micotti excels at and draws me to his creations. I smell wood. Deep, slightly musty, and dark. A heavy and deeply saturated woody aroma, augmented by a resinous core that runs through it. Old and stern. Spoiled fruits and withered flowers. A slightly rancid smell still lingers from the fruit. Incense burning. A cooling, somewhat mentholated fine smokiness that clings to the composition throughout. Cold and ceremonial it complements the woody undertones. The embers are dying, the warmth is gone. The air is getting colder as the stillness of the Night falls over the room. Is it a Palace? Perhaps. To me, it is an artist's studio. The story starts at Dawn. Bright and energetic. Embers are glowing in the fireplace warming the studio. The still-life arrangement of fruits and flowers still bears some vibrancy. There is a cigar box and a half-burned cigar on the table. Some Port Wine on the side. There is sweetness lingering in the air still. At Night, however, all these trivial artifacts of the terrestrial blemish into the aloof. The incense is burned in memory of the dead, the final judiciary who reigns triumphant over the silence and darkness. IG:@memory.of.scents

Top 3 houses or 5 in my opinion. 1 - Genuine oud: It is worth noting the high level of skill of the perfumers in including a selective oud in their work, the palace and its decorative appearance – the effect achieved thanks to the variety of materials and techniques. Referred to by contemporaries as the "eighth wonder of the world", the original palace is mentioned or depicted in many surviving documents, such as memoirs, measured drawings, painters' canvases and models, now stored in Russian and Western European museums and archives. Aged oud has this smell in its work. 2 - Blue-gray wisp of ceremonial smoke: The reconstruction of the palace interior was based on surviving historical sources describing the original decoration of the palace interior. Rotting fruit near the fireplace. 3 - Exotic Fruits, Ashes of Flaming Flowers at Dawn, Glowing Embers: The original palace stood in the center of the Tsar's residence, but nowadays, in order not to destroy the historically developed architectural complex of the Tsar's Courtyard, it was decided to rebuild it in the southern part of the Kolomenskoe Museum-Reserve. When the pinkish glow of the sunset-tinged clouds disappears from the roof of the gaming palace, the silvery stars and the raw moon become visible. Absolute silence spreads over this atmosphere. The thin blue-gray line of ceremonial smoke is the only noticeable movement. Look closely and you will find that the smoke comes from the glowing ashes, and the flaming flowers at dawn are burned to ashes. The moment of temporal change has come: a mysterious and silent signal is transmitted through the air. It is 8:30 pm, the ceremony should begin now. The mirrors have silently aligned themselves, leaving their sleeping chamber, and the other creatures within the Palace of Games come to life at night, eagerly waiting to participate in this confidential event. Strong (!!), intoxicating, sexy beast mode and NOT for the fainthearted. Pricy - but worth it. This is n-o-t a beginners fragrance. Please note; the oud is not the star of the show in this one..I find it's more of a background note. The smokey, woody and fruity aspect is more of a shining star, and there's certainly no holding back, it's full on. Even better if layered with TF's Noir de Noir during the colder months.
