Theros, from the house of Ys-Uzac. A house that will keep you entertained. Avant-garde, unusual, unique compositions tailored to be worn and feel highly sophisticated. This perfume meets all those criteria and more. Theros has to be one of the most peculiar perfumes I ever experienced. There is nothing remotely similar to it. You read the accords listed by the house and think to yourself: "Sounds like something that'd be fun to try." However, you try it and realize that although it makes no sense on paper, the result is brilliant. Shortly, this is an Ambergris-centered perfume that uses a woody base for support, yet the former feels to be the center player. In detail, the perfume presents a plethora of textures and aromas that play in contradiction without feeling "out of tune." The opening brings a "toasted," "sun-baked" feel that heats the sand and chocolate accord. This solar-warmed quality never fades away. It lingers throughout, staying true to the perfumer's inspiration. It is difficult to describe this sensation. But it does come across as sun-heated sand or pebbles/rocks. To make it easier, I'd say it has a slightly savory quality (perhaps for being paired with the chocolate accord) that makes me picture freshly cooked rice. But it's a stretch to put it that way, although it might be easier for many to imagine. The chocolate accord is present, yet the perfume never feels gourmand, savory, or childish. Rather sophisticated, with a touch of dessert that fits in perfectly. Of course, the Oceanic feel and the salty, mineral nuances are present, going in tandem with the earthy accords and opposition with the chocolate one. I believe the "lipstick" accord is what I perceive as a waxy texture, which most certainly is lent by the ambergris. The Oud is an important player but never feels the major component. It is rather dry, warm, and earthy. The ambergris takes control slowly over the whole rendering that waxy, slightly salty/mineral, oceanic, earthy, and sexual touch. Undoubtedly, there is a sexy muskiness here that growls louder as the perfume consumes and might help create the listed "sweaty skin accord." All the mentioned facets are presented in a manner that is difficult to break apart. The perfume is exceptionally well blended with incredibly smooth transitions. The perfumer takes inspiration from the vision of being on an island with your loved one. A "Passionate Summer". That vision is captured accurately. And yet, I feel there is a lot of mystery and darkness to the construction. And while I believe it works great in the Summer heat, I'd opt for the most sophisticated events with a suit and tie. Immediately sandy, chocolatey, marine... and boozy!!! I’m getting a huge booze accord in the opening, or perhaps it’s just something that can be cobbled together by the swath of dynamic facets moving below... Because somehow, simultaneously, all of the intended accords are perceptible. Burning stone and air, skin kissed by ocean and orris, an incredible green freshness and chocolatiness from Kyara, aided by patchouli... Absolutely stunning. Unbelievably smooth. Not sure when this is best worn, as it seems such a treat to the nose that the best thing to do while wearing it is to simply lose oneself in the imagery and story it provides, something akin to an opium-like daze... at least that’s what I find myself doing right now. I want for nothing else. Food? Water? Who needs ‘em. I’ve got Theros. Sillage moderate though best enjoyed a mere few centimeters away, eyes closed, slow inhales, forceful exhales. Woowee. Longevity excellent. Much more could be said. Maybe another time. Bravo, good sir!!!

I don’t understand why I read 3 reviews from people who didn’t even test it. Why bother writing such nonsense sentences? I have first tested and then purchase it. It is still available in a few bottles at a perfumery in Zurich, one of their official retailers. It was a love and hate feelings, eventually turned to love very recently, when donned on Xmas day, with colder weather and heavy outfit. Many of the listed notes can be easily detected. Lipstick, chocolate, skin, wet stones. This is the result of the grade of the Oud used here mixed with other unknown ingredients. It is a strange concoction. It doesn’t switch, stays the same from the second you apply to the drydown. It doesn’t last more than 4/5 hour and stay close to your skin. It is expensive and I can’t weigh if the money spent is worth it. Surely, it’s like nothing around. If you happen to be in Zurich, search for retailers on their website and give it a try

This is magnificent. For the most of it it’s very aquatic - as a fan of perfumes that smell like water I’m used to such notes mixed with flowers and fruits for a cheerful zesty laundry detergent vibe. This instead gives you skin, cosmetics, chocolate depth without the sweetness and turns out both airy and slutty in the most intimate way. I absolutely love it - with that in mind, I have to say the opening smells like piss (if you can smell that too, bear with it, it goes away).

A deserted beach on an island in Greece, sea hot sand and stone nothing else. Bodies lying tanned sunburned flirt with the sun trying to relive the summers of their youth. Their dry skin without a trace of sunscreen fully harmonises with the deep wrinkles of the rocks from the blows of the waves! THEROS (ΘΕΡΟΣ)Summer in Greek!!!

This one is very, very, very odd. It smells partly like an old museum, partly like strange cooked food and partly like a chocolate bar. It also smells like something nostalgic but not in a good way. I find the scent deeply depressing. Had to wash it off. Not for me.

It's like opening a 20-year-old Macallan on the best beach of your life, next to your perfect partner. But don't be fooled. This is a perfume for very cold nights. Deep, dark, dense, and unusual. Everything here seems conceived by the vision of a Swiss person, shaped by one of the coldest places in the world. Keep that in mind when you experience it. The refinement is of unparalleled elegance. The opening brings a dark, dry, and sophisticated chocolate, as if it had been selected from the most renowned chocolatiers in Switzerland. Rich, textured, and aristocratic. Then the landscape is revealed. The damp sand underfoot. The sea water breaking between the rocks. The warm, salty skin, still marked by the intimacy of a passionate encounter by the sea. Oud Kyara—one of the noblest and most revered materials in Japan—emerges slowly, revealing an almost hypnotic depth. Dark and luminous at the same time, it kisses the salty accord of ambergris, while a delicate sweetness emerges like the trace of her lipstick left on her skin. Pebbles scattered among the rocks. The sea breeze blowing again. Desire returning like waves that never stop touching the sand. Everything seems to be heard and felt at the same time: the sound of the ocean, the warmth of bodies, the scent of skin mixed with sea salt. The world disappears and only the texture of the sand, the water, the wind, and the silent pleasure shared under the night sky remain. The accord, reminiscent of a great Macallan, takes over the lips and skin. It is warm and salty at the same time. Luxurious, sensual, and incredibly enveloping. Each note seems hand-painted. Like a masterpiece in a private gallery or a score by Johann Sebastian Bach performed to perfection. Highly sophisticated. Oceanic. Earthy. Profoundly sensual. The olfactory portrait of the perfect gentleman: elegant, self-assured, and irresistibly seductive, without ever falling into vulgarity. 9/10 — A liquid work of art.

This is very very oud. more than one type of oud. I would feel as comforted as burning some of the higher quality incense. at some point there are predominant boozy notes or and lipstick. certainly not for everyone, I actually prefer oud without those boozy notes. May require an olfactory education to appreciate the nuances and tell the Kyara apart of the heavier ouds. There are mineral and skin like notes, a sense of summer. In winter, this reminiscence make you feel warm. I would advise against using it in too warm weather as its aspects are better appreciated in cooler times.

Salty ambergris with chocolatey caramelic buttery popcorn + sweet burnt sticky rice facets that are super prominent in the opening then an unfortunate drydown to a vague linear animalistic musk quite boring in comparison. Fancy an expensive sea salt dark chocolate bar ? It's definitely polarising but weirdly addictive the opening atleast, it might be the most interesting thing have smelled this year even if it's not particularly something id wear.

Wow!!!! A veryinteresting combo of notes. It sucks that it's a limited edition and costs $400+ I wish I could afford stuff like this. You just don't find unusual, weird and unique mix of notes in mainstream or designer brands.
