Yosemite Rush

I’m finishing my sample today, time for a review: I swear I get oud in the initial opening. But the note disappears quickly before I can identify it properly. Never mind. This is a gorgeous suede scent, nicely cushioned by cardamon, oak, and incense. I love the fact they use oak as opposed to sandalwood in the pyramid. It works beautifully and makes a nice change. In the drydown, the incense is becoming more apparent, and the vanilla starts shining through shyly yet beautifully. What a composition, I’m in love! The only downside for me is the projection, it turns into a skin scent way too quickly. Unfortunately I found this with most of Yu’s perfumes, not sure if it’s my skin though. When I worked my way through the discovery set the first time round, it can’t have been any later than sample no.3 when I looked up Julie Pluchet. What a talent! Bravo and Thank you! All fragrances are right up my street, and I’m having a really hard time deciding which one to get. 100ml currently retail at £120 ($160 / 140€). I think that’s perfectly fine for a niche house.
