Action: You are so right! And thank you for the 15 ml vintage splash, I will treasure it always! :-) Long before the "Ice" craze hit, YR was os-magining what the south pole would smell like!! This smells like colognes made 20 years ago, yet is classic and not dated. One of the best YR mens scents I have ever smelled (and I have most of em!)... Categorized as an aromatic aquatic, this begins almost like a classic fougere, manly and fresh. The citruses are bright and bittersweet, but not too zesty. The mint is cool and subdued, and along with the juniper adds a cool icy feel without being sharp or too green. The thyme and nutmeg keep it warm and masculine-like the parka you would wear (or die) at the bottom of the world. This herb and spice combination adds to the smooth and outdoorsy feel of this scent, instead of making it too warm or spiced. This (and all the YR vintages I've sniffed so far) is extremely well-blended and obviously created from natural components. The sandal wood and amber are clean and sexy, as opposed to oriental. An excellent male scent discontinued far to soon; bright, clean, cool but smooth and manly. Aquatic? More like bright sun on a frozen sea and ice floes. Aromatic? Definitely. A classic? You betcha... Sillage: very good Longevity: good Overall: 4.5/5 This scent smells very different from the bottle to the skin. I liked it when I smelled it in the bottle, but on my skin (mmmm, sigh) it is simply wonderful, and I love it! Imagine being in the frozen tundra, under a cold bright sun and then going into your igloo (house) and thawing slowly with fresh outside smells still clinging to your slowly warming skin...that is Antartic. A stunning manscent, years ahead of it's time...and sadly now unavailable. :-(

Tell me? Is there more? It's discontinued? I love this fragrance. My fiance, has worn this fragrance very long time and he can hold bottles of fragrance for a long time. He does not wear very often because he work in construction...lol...When the bottle was finished, I wanted to buy at Yves Rocher. Unfortunately, here in Quebec, it seem that's dosen't exist now.I can't find it. Too bad, it's a smell that he was fine.

Finally (back) in my collection! Aromatic soapiness with a bitter citrus cool feeling. It could easily be a “blue” or “deep” fragrance released in 2020 by some high end perfume house. So timeless and long lasting. A fantastic after shave that I’d love to see back in stores again! When did Yves Rocher discontinue this? Mid 00’s? They need to bring back all the classics!

This is a very persistent juice of citrus and juniper shaded by mint and tart herbs. It pokes at the nose and gives off an almost tactile effect of coolness. It lasts a long time, constantly reminds of itself. Typically masculine, but does not give the impression of retro.

Well, unfortunately the re-edition is nothing like the vintage. Ohhh how I used to love this for men in the vintage formula. One of my favorite lost perfumes for men, together with Lancome Sagamore vintage and Alain Delon Iquitos...sighhh

Lovely! I love this, it's gorgeous!! Beautiful spicy, citrusy, fresh and woody. Really wonderful. So uplifting! Elegant and sensual. Beautiful.

One of the most complimentet frag i have owned. Straight out of shower scent

After shave version - This is pretty much a skin scent after 3 hours and it will be detectable on your clothes for 8 or so and maybe the best way to go. It's a nice fresh citrus herbal blue. Not BdC territory and it shares a little something with another 90's french favourite, Voyageur by Jean Patou. Not identical but gives me the same kind of vibe. This is more an upmarket fresh blue shower gel type smell but better. Smells natural, clean and masculine. Grapefruit and lime smell authentic with a light thyme and juniper, the nutmeg blends in with the amber and sandalwood nicely on the drydown. I like it a lot. 8/10

After a few minutes, it is powdery like Coty Gravity. Then I get that unique spiciness that is rampant amongst all the 80’s masculine frags.

I bought this for my ex-husband when it first came out and I found it quite sexy - the sweetness of the amber mixing with the tartness of the lime and grapefruit, and the spice of the nutmeg and sandalwood - all very nice. He seemed to like it, too - at least, he went through the bottle and I bought him another. Once I left him and married my current husband that all ended because my current husband doesn't wear colognes. *shrug*

I wear a few men's fragrances, and this was one of two YR men's scents I liked. Very fresh and invigorating, but I did feel it sent a slightly too masculine message for some situations, so I didn't wear it often. Still have a half bottle left and will see if it's turned, as it really was a good summer fragrance.

I have a 100ml bottle of this fragrance, recieved it as a gift but its just not for me. I've only really tested it with a few dabs with a cotton bud, so its more or less all there. If anyone is interested in purchasing, please let me know. Thanks! :) p.s. I am based in the UK

Have the Antartic Après-Rasage by Yves Rocher from 1990. Descent stuff but if anyone must have I could trade.
