Cap Nature Vanille

25.october 2012 Ladies and gentlemen, if you have searched for perfect vanilla in your life - search no more! Here it is! May i introduce you to your mate for chilly autumn-winter days: "Cap nature vanilla" by Yves Rocher! I am sure you all have smelled a lot of different vanillas in your "parfumista" life, but i assure you this one is exceptionally good. This is actually not a plain dry vanilla, i am sure that notes are incomplete here. To me, personally, this is a vanilla marmelade. This is a fruity vanilla, extremly yummy and unlike some other powdery vanillas, this is wearable all day long without being suffocating. Strange, but i feel like this is a sunny vanilla and when i wear it on a colder day i feel like it is warming me up. Maybe i am mistaken, but it seems to me that there is a narcicuss note in it. Somehow i get this feeling. And probably the honey or maybe even honeysuckle and a bit of mimose. These are only my guesses. This has a very good sillage and longevity is also very good considering that this is a splash version, so i dab it on. I can only imagine how great it will be upon spraying it all over me. It goes quite strong for at least 4 hours on my skin (6 dabs: neck, behind the ears and earlobes) and after that it hugs you, so you still can smell it quite good. It ́s been 12 hrs now and i still smell it on my skin after a long day at work. The best part is the price: it can be found very cheap online and in the thrift shops. So, you have been warned! Do not miss this opportunity when you see it to own it. You will not be dissapointed and probably will not want to search for another vanilla anymore, after you will experience this beauty. It ́s not about the outside, it ́s something about the inside of this bottle. Not to spoil your opinion about this fragrance i must warn you not to use it during warmer days. Strictly a cold weather fragrance, otherwise it won ́t be the same feeling.

Yes!! Comforting, realistic vanilla. This is my childhood in a bottle. Cap Nature Vanille was the first perfume I ever owned. When I was 6 or 7 years old I bought it at a flea market in germany. I treasured every drop of that wonderful golden perfume. The writing on the cap had come off and I had no idea what the name of my childhood perfume was. Years later I noticed a familiar bottle on the fragrantica reviews. I ordered a mini bottle in unused condition on eBay and I can confirm, this is the perfume that started it all! I'm on vanilla cloud 9 right now. Update: This definitely has some fruity notes and I feel that Casmir is the more complex and grown-up inspiration behind Cap Nature Vanilla. No wonder I felt drawn to Casmir it is all because my childhood ;).

This was one of my first fragrances, my mum gifted it to me and I was in love from then on! I still have half the bottle left and know its not available now which is very sad indeed! It smells like heaven, literally! Deep full bodied vanilla that warms you up and comforts you like a bed of fluff. I don't find it powdery and its in no way like baby powder which I hate the smell of. I like to wear this if I'm not feeling well, on a cold day, or just when I need comforting, it's still one of my ultimate favourites and I wish I could buy another bottle!!!

Lovely deep`, warm and sugary Vanilla smell. I have never to date found one that smells even closer to this scent. Some modern Vanilla scents smells watered down and weak. This one really sticks to the skin and last for hours. Very sweet at first but does calm down. This one is sure to please the most sweetest Vanilla loving fans. To my delight I found a bottle on ebay. It hasn't gone bad as previous owner never used it.It smells exactly as I remebered it. So wish Yves Rocher would bring it back !!

I found some old Yves Rocher bottles among my old stuff and what a surprise (or not!), the fragrances are absolutely unchanged. These old formulas were truly exceptional! I'm delighted to rediscover this vanilla, which is both slightly spicy and gourmand, addictive, and has good staying on skin. I found the perfect match with guaiac wood essential oil, which gives it a smoky vanilla note. It almost reminds me Bois Vanille of Serge Lutens. Love it!

Oh, how I loved it! It was one of my very first perfumes when I was 13. I remember the perfect, really PERFECT vanilla. No scent has ever been able to reach this perfection since they stopped producing it. Usually, vanilla makes me feel dizzy and gives me a headache, but this one is comforting, soothing, warm and lovely! I miss it so!

Wonderful deep vanilla!! Together with Vanilla Bourbon (also from this house) one of my favorite Vanille perfumes EVER! They are soo warm and sooo vibrant, really embracing! Wonderful for coming cool Autumn...

I bought this beautiful perfume about 20 years ago, and it still smells absolutely wonderful! The vanilla is round and deep, it has a soul, and puts a spell on my nose, I'm addicted to it ...

Though i love the Vanille Bourbon (also from Yves Rocher) i prefer this one , because it's more genuine , less sweet . A simple and yet very effective scent . Not to wear on a hot day !

Was reminded of this treasure when I tried Burberry's Goddess for the first time the other day, because Goddess smells exactly the same.

I still have a bottle from this fragrance and after more than 20 years the smell stills the same I love the vanilla scent and warm..

my mother purchased this for me when i was 14 and i enjoyed it very mutch untill the last drop. i can remember it was bold and round vanilla, very natural smelling and longlasting.

It was such a beautiful, round, natural vanilla! How I miss it :/ Edit: Royal Gold by El Nabil is a pretty close dupe (oil in a roll-on)

I got a 5mL mini bottle of this just to sample it (because of the fairly positive reviews). Unfortunately, mine has either gone off, or it's not my kind of vanilla. On my skin, it's a classic concoction of bugspray mixed with a hint of synthetic vanilla. It reminds me of another 90s vanilla perfume which has a strong woods note, but I can't recall the name of that one. I think I will bin this.

I have been missing a pure vanilla in my collection. Well, here it is. Somewhat boozy, like stored in oak casks, a teeny tiny hint of fruitiness like sometimes appears in cognac. Delectable golden somehow thick, syrupy vanilla, but not with the overpowering sweetness you'd associate with syrup. Deep. Mmm-mmm-mmm.

I bought this a couple of months ago based on the reviews here, and because good vanilla is one of my favorite scents. Also, one of my favorite perfumes is Cocoon by YR, so I always like to try their rare fragrances when I can. This one is in a splash form, seems very natural and light, and perhaps it would be better in an atomizer?? So many things I've tried smell better when sprayed rather than dabbed. Unfortunately I don't get much from it. It's on my swap list.

I admit to loving the sound of this but looking at the notes and seeing powdery second only to vanilla I am concerned. I hate powdery notes. Can someone tell me if it smells like vanilla scented baby powder?

I did buy Michael Kors Midnight Shimmer, and it has very similar vanilla as I remember this to have. It brought me back to this classic from my teenager years.

I had this one when I was a teen and I use to love it! But I wouldn't use this anymore, vanilla is not my favourite scents nowadays...

I want this back... :'( why do they allways get rid of the scents that i love... :-(
