Chevrefeuille

This is the smell of my childhood.My mother gave me one of her small bottles and I was over the moon. By barbies smelt of it and so did I. It's strong in that it has staying power but it's soft and not overwhelming. Because of this perfume I bought a honeysuckle bush to plant in my garden; that's how much it made me want to re-capture the scent. I don't know if Yves Rocher still produces it; to be honest,I had forgotten all about it until I stumbled upon it on fragrantica. Yves Rocher has wonderful perfumes but they're annoying in that they keep discontinuing the best of them. You fall in love with them then they're removed from sale. It doesn't make sense and it's a pity.

I have a miniature matte glass with the inscription not on velcro, but on the glass, which speaks of vintage. This perfume seems very fresh, and this is amazing. Watercolor green is combined with a light transparent sweetness, honey with a tugging yellow pollen. It seems that there is a lot of fresh air and light, but frank sweetness in the perfume. Silvery-green, white, scarlet - these are the color combinations associated with this wonderful aroma. This seems to me to be the best product of the brand.

Finally got the vintage bottle!!! I am so happy!!!! I have had several bottles when I was younger, I always gave it away to my cousins, since they loved it so much. Now that this has become rare, I will keep it this time for myself!!! This soft, green and luscious scent captures you in a whiff! It so unique...cant decribe it ... it has some exciting and relaxing effects....It is a def spring summer scent. But smelling this during cold days gives you a summer holiday feeling!!!

Here another compex creation!! What is so compex about it, is that it combines several angles that makes it quite intersting. This is a spring / summer perfume with the citrus and the honeysuckle, BUT BUT BUT....it has a 2-faced character.. It comes across so lively and sunny....but watch out... It has a animalic side too! She seduces unexpected..she is hiding her sensuality...and when you find yourself wrapped in her web, it is tooo late..

This is as close as I can get to honeysuckle, excepting Olivina Cielo, which is unobtainable. There is, I admit, something dated in the style. It's like there is a bottle of something called "1980s" that they can add to perfumes. But it is good, delicious, feminine. It is VERY light. I like to spray it on my pillow. If you like honeysuckle as it smells in the US on a road in the summer, give it a try.

Hi LaPetite! The bottle on this page is not reformulated, because it was discontinued like MANY Yves Rocher vintages! There is an entirely new Chevrefeuille from Yves Rocher, but that is an total different perfume. This vintage is very classy and subtle, the new one is more FRESH! But like I said, they have nothing in common.

I just bought a bottle of the vintage Chevrefuille. It's a wonderful scent, fresh citrus leading the way for the beautiful honeysuckle and jasmine. I'm not a big fan of florals unless they're very 'green' and this one definitely fits that category! A true, classic green floral - and the bottle it comes in is lovely!

Honeysuckle is one of my favorite flower ! This one is very refreshing , pleasant and relaxing . The big problem with it , is the poor lasting power . It lacks complexity , but it's just what it supposed to be. I don't have the feeling it's been reformulated, but i might be wrong.

This is such a beauty from the past!! It is a gorgeous citrus floral green, refreshing, uplifting, old school (and that's a GOOD THING!) & soothing. If you are lucky to find it and you are a lover of the category old school citrus floral green, you cannot do without this one!!

I used this all the time when I was young girl. Very nice fragrance indeed and I do miss it. New one? Bleugh! Don't like it...

What a wonderful trip to my youth, and again a witness statement that light scents of the 70's were not light in the sense we know it now. Take Anais Anais as an example. Chevrefeuille is a delightful green floral, with a steady woody base. The honeysuckele stays with me all the way and combines beautifully with the woody resinous base. The scent is not complicated but it should not be either. What surprises me, or not really knowing the great quality the old YR perfumes had, is the elegance in the scent. I did use it as a teen of fifteen, and the memories come back. But teens of today would probably give this a cold shoulder as it is very green and not sweet at all. A perfect summer scent! The only thing that I mourn is the weakish performance. After three hours I can still smell it on me, but only up close. But what the heck. I have a big bottle and even if it is a splash I can easily make a decant of it and have it with me for daily reboot. If you come across this do not hesitate. It is really worth a while as it sooths your senses.

1976...Mon Chevrefeuille , that the way I use to call it . I loved this , I mean absolutely adored it . I remember to buy it when it came out, with the scented moisturiser / lotion. I had to be 12 years old, I saved for month . I felt so beautiful and special , admiring my bottles on my bed stand ! I wore it for years , it was my signature fragrance. I was pretty puzzled and perplexed when I could not find it anymore . Sure, got me smile to see reappearing on Fragrantica ! Pareille pour moi, Irisjetaime , mais on était voisine , j'étais a Marseille ! Exactement comme toi, le jardins de mes grands parents , mon paradis je l'appelle, les repas dehors d'été en famille , quel bonheur !

I was given some of this for my 21st birthday (more than half a lifetime ago) and have probably not smelt any for at least 25 years, but have often thought I would like to get it again. I remember it as clean, flowery, fairly light, but not soppy or "teenagery". At the time I didn't know there were so many other notes in it, the honeysuckle definitely comes across very clearly.

Are they still selling this at Yves Rocher? I love this scent. I have it in the tall clear glass bottle. I don't know which version it is but it is fresh and suitable for anywhere. It lasts long without being overpowering. I put it in the same category as O de Lancome and Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea

I loved it in the eighties,so fresh and lovely ,but in the later years they have reformulated it and it doesnt smell the same anymore.

I was given a bottle of this as a gift when I was in high school back in the 80s, and although I always flirted with the idea of giving it away to someone else, I never quite dared. It is every bit as awful as I remembered it: sickly sweet, cloying, heavy, fake-smelling, and with a harsh alcohol bite that never goes away, even after it's dried down. Seriously, this stuff will make you smell like a lush. It took me years to realize that it was supposed to smell like honeysuckles. It smells nothing like honeysuckle. It smells like nothing natural at all. It smells, in fact, like an encapsulation of every single one of the things that people who say they "don't like fragrance" are really talking about: the harsh alcohol smell, the cheap synthetic buzz that gets up into your nose and stays there, the cloying sweetness of fake floral, the sillage from hell. It's just dreadful. And on top of all that, it makes me sneeze.

I bought this as one of my first scents from YR. I really loved the description and the photo in the catalogue. But it turned out to be a disappointment, to me it smelled like stale flowerwater from a vase one had forgotten a bouquet of withered flowers in. Ugh!

In my quest for a honeysuckle perfume I got a vintage bottle on Ebay. To me it's the most generic soap I have smelled in a very long time. No citrus, no floral notes and no honeysuckle whatsoever. Maybe it was not kept in good conditions. Disappointing.

Hated this one in the 80's, so sharp and sour on me. Tried and tried to make it work as I had saved my allowance for it, but couldn't get through even 10% of the bottle.
