Comme une Evidence Homme

Based on the new version: The juice provides bergamot, guaiac wood, nutmeg, rose, and is so heavy on pepper (probably because I'm sensitive to pepper) that it may remind one of harsh organic solvent. I bought it mainly for rose, but rose here is weak. The momentary whiff of rose upon application is immediately drowned by pepper and guaiac wood, and the creamy sweetness of guaiac wood adds the masculinity to rose but also subtracts the freshness from it. It's a triangle of the three notes. During the drydown when the pepper has diminished, the rose will re-emerge but the scent has sit closer to fiber. This is the most charming phase though. To evade the alcohol upon application, I also missed the listed cypress - when I got close to sniff, the cypress was already gone, or drowned by pepper too. I'd say it's a modest cologne, with moderate projection. It actually projects (for an hour) and lasts, but strangely I just too easily get fatigue to it. Still stranger is that I must over spray to evade olfactory fatigue, which has me go thru a bottle rather quickly :( considering its poor performance, I think €35/100ml is a little overpriced, tho I like this lovely men's rose. update: I was informed that it's dicsontinued. Another available men's rose is gone.

A unique fragrance. I love it! It's one of the few perfumes where you can distinguish the different facets as it evolves. Sometimes it's the pepper that takes over, sometimes the cypress/cedar (coniferous accord), and other times a beautiful fresh rose. The mixture is a great success, we do not get tired of it. It's not flat like YR's new men's fragrances (Ambre Noir, Cuir Vetiver, Bois de Sauge), which can never be compared to Evidence and Hoggar. And I imagine that YR will discontinue these, as it does with all its best fragrances. I had my boyfriend smell all 5 fragrances and he too agrees that Évidence and Hoggar surpass all others. This perfume is also very refined and its DNA not too common. It is far from the heavy, amber and sweet masculine scent that is in fashion these days! You can really stand out with it. It's also not too fresh or aquatic (notes that are often found in sport style EDT). This scent is really classy. The projection and longevity is average though, but with regular touch-ups it's fine. It's also very discreet and won't bother sensitive noses (like me!). Personally, I give it a 9/10!

To my nose this fragrance is Bvlgari pour Homme with actual substance. All I get with the Bvlgari is a watered down color grey that projects in a narrow point. There is lack of roundness, richness, you smell a sharp, undefined weakly sweetened something, which isn't unpleasant, but it just isn't enough. Spraying more doesn't make the scent bigger or richer, it only goes louder in that undefined nothingness, it gets sharper and ultimately it distorts in a cloying funk. This Comme Une Evidence just like the Bvlgari is a lightly sweetened simple and calm fragrance, but it actually has some body and depth. There is a darkness and boozy bitterness that makes it unique. Another thing I like about this fragrance (and all fragrances of Yves Rocher) is that it smells very natural, with the downside that it doesn't project that well. I love this fragrance.

Phenomenal. This perfume is one of Maisondieu's highlights, along with Bottega Veneta Illusione for Him, Burberry Brit & London for Men, Gucci Rush for Men, Montblanc Explorer & Legend Night, Moschino Funny!, Paul Smith Rose, Tom Ford Velvet Orchid, and Valentino Donna. Maisondieu is most likely to become the next Morillas. This particular creation - the only perfume he created for Yves Rocher - is, in my opinion, the crème de la crème of Yves Rocher's men fragrances. It is well balanced, well blended, and simply gorgeous. Still very masculine while not being overly spicy, and the rose is just über-sophisticated in here. Only Cartier's Déclaration d'un Soir can hope to compete with this, as far as men's rose fragrances are concerned. A shame it's discontinued. Yves Rocher, please don't make this mistake. Bring this back already!

@nattonline...I do agree with all you have said about this fragrance except I really dont get the similarity with the other fragrances u mentioned.I did try this on a paper and almost found it disgusting.I guess it was the sour sharp opening notes.either that or i was in such a foul mood anything would have disgusted me.I waited till morning to actually spray it on my body and i must say I got a totally different impression.this is very good during the day.wore it out on hottest day of the year so far and just didnt find it offensive at all.It has warmly dry down that I find very addictive.sillage,projection more than ok for me.i would recommend this for daytime wear-but that depends on individual taste and I guess disposition.It again would suit a mature man with a refined taste.this is highly recommended

After the first sniff I thought I recognized this one and that gives away the cosy character of this eau de toilette and I really like that because I think I have never smelled it before that first sniff. Comme une Evidence Homme starts like a fresh barbershop frag with an elegant fruity and cypress smell. Then the woods kick in followed by a very good and fresh rose. It's well blended with the spices and woods and I keep on smelling that fresh rose the whole time. This is an excellent elegant masculine fragrance made by Antoine Maisondieu for Yves Rocher. The performance is not super but very acceptable. It will last a whole day if you spray generously. For me this is a perfect office scent. Non offensive and very elegant. The price is also very nice!

Since the time I wanted a great & natural rose-based scent for men, I find it ! Maisondieu is awesome and this is another proof of its talent. This is not obnoxious, delicate and soft but present ! Yes, it's woody, spicy too, but this rose, combined with the cypress, make it sweet, comfy, ambient. You notice it enought to smell, and that's all. Perfect balanced strenght ! If you want a subtle yet manly smell, go for it, at this price, this is one of the best. Oh and, as usual with YR, this is 100% natural. A pure piece of nature on your skin !

This preceded Cartier Declaration D'Un Soire, they are quite similar. A very rose based scent that isn't feminine. It has a really fresh opening with bergamot and orange, with a bit of woodiness from cypress. The mid notes are woody with cedar, and patchouli gives it an earthiness. The base has the aforementioned rose balanced with pepper and nutmeg. This is a unique scent for men. It's not too expensive either, but I don't think it's a safe blind buy as a lot of men may not like the rose note. It's longevity is poor too.

Finaly I'm completely satisfied with my new purchase - The Evidence ! -)Wearing this, I feeling myself very elegant, mature, fresh and unique and the girls asking and asking what fragrance is that... I'm bulgarian and I'm proud that Yves Rocher using huge amount of our precious and already so rare bulgarian roses to achieve such a great results.( For example : in many female frgarances) I wish you exiting and relaxing moments, wearing this liqiud.

Comme une Evidence Homme Yves Rocher is a very nice rosy freshie woody aromatic scent. It's kinda like Declaration d'Un Soir Cartier but not as feminine rosy and Bvlgari pour Homme Soir. Folks who like the inoffensive rose in these will like Evidence. It's one of the better offerings under Yves Rocher and is inexpensive. Lovely male rosy frag. If this profile comes under a main designer line everyone would be hyping up about it.

Gentle,fresh and woody. Elegant and natural scent. I remember the morning when the sun is coming, the air is fresh and a little fizzy... sophisticated and lightweight. In the drydown rose predominates and is always present. The cypress is very pronounced and in perfect harmony with the other notes. I like it. Sillage: 6./10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 8./10 Overall: 8./10

This is so sexy! It has the same attitude with some others like Gucci by Gucci, Burberry London, La Nuit de l`Homme, D&G The One...But I think this is better than all of them! Really! Rich, sophisticated, sexy, dark! But still based on being natural (like all Yves Rocher products), with a lower price than any others listed above! My next purchasing for sure!

This reminds me of Aramis without the sharp notes. Really sexy and a distinct subtleties of warm sweet notes that evolves into a mysterious cacophony of scents. Distinguished and provocative. Plus the added "natural" ingredients are just amazing! Love It. Now... I just ordered more of the Yves Rocher's other fragrance to see how they live up to this one.

After testing this from a friend I got hooked on this it's really good, im not the biggest rose fan in fragrance but this is well done the rose in this is not overpowering and the fresh spice is really nice though it lasts. I highly rate this one it's going in my top 5 SCENT 10 PROJECTION 10 LONGEVITY 9 COMLIMENTS 9 OVERALL 10

A spicy, citrusy rose fragrance. Opens with bergamot, continues with rose on a spicy base. Deliberately combined notes at all. Great longevity and sillage comparing to its affordable price. Suitable for both day and night. Overall it can be commented as a must-try fragrance for rose lovers.

Really nice fragrance with solid lasting power and a noticable but not intrusive sillage. Antoine Maisondieu is a bloody good nose. This is a good substitute for Burberry London in the summer.

Very, very good indeed! Yves Rocher, who used the brilliant nose of Antoine Maisondieu for this, has a truly great fragrance here - very warm, sensual aroma. Deep, soothing. The notes are so wonderfully blended and natural (not synthetic at all)...the fragrance has one of the best QTP (quality-to-price) ratios out there - anywhere! If I had to pick one fragrance from the Yves Rocher line, this is it. The cypress, cedarwood, patchouli, guaiac wood (Bulnesia sarmenti variety, as listed), and pepper intermingle so nicely with the rose note. Moderate in power and while predominately masculine - this could be worn by a woman. Spring & Fall are optional times to wear, however a warmer Winter day or a cooler Summer evening work just as well. Perfect to wear with a soothing rain...the essences flow in harmony with the natural aromas in the air. I think there are a lot of great reviews here, but I point to Shamus1, Nik604, and VanAllan. My final score is a solid 8+/10 due to a little short longevity (about 4 hours on me...but a great 4 hours from top notes to dry down, so the scent, in and of itself, is a bold 9/10!) I have to give credit to Yves Rocher for their commitment to quality ingredients that are natural and not synthetic - they even plant trees when you order from them. If you have not shopped with YR, get online and have fun. Price points are almost ridiculous for what you get in ALL their products. Always nice to speak with them on the phone as well - they are in Quebec and there is a true European feel about everything they put out. Cheers...!

After reading almost all the positive reviews, I was tempted. I decided to make a blind purchase based on those reviews who say that this amazing frag's aroma of cypress and rose makes this juice absolutely amazing...BELIEVE ME THERE RIGHT!!!!!! Both notes of rose and cypress blend with a touch of spice of black pepper makes Evidence from YR is a true GEM! I'm not able to detect any synthetic aroma with this fragrance. After it settles your able to smell patchouli and nutmeg with the top notes of rose/cypress gives this frag a sexy appeal and makes it that much more attractive. longevity and Silage are both excellent...it lasts at least 6hrs without it being overwhelming. Final thoughts, I must admit that if I didn't trust ericrico, Nik604, nattonline, VanAllan and finally shamus1 reviews I never would of considered this fragrance. Thx guy's :)))) Overall it maybe a fall/winter frag but I had to try it during the summer. I have had several compliments from co-workers which said that it wasn't strong and harsh. I will enjoy this AMAZING FRAGRANCE come the fall months. Rating this frag...less then a 8/10 would not reflect the quality of this fragrance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! you won't be disappointed

Definitely in the same vein as Cartier's Declaration D'un Soir. Whereas D'un Soir is more fresh, peppery and the rose note more pronounced, Comme Une Evidence is more subdued and not as peppery. When you first spray D'un Soir, it has that effect of opening your nostrils because of that fresh pepper sensation. Evidence doesn't give the same. D'un Soir is rose and pepper. Evidence is rose and pine (to my nose but the note included is actually cypress, not pine). Because Evidence is more subdued than D'un Soir, the performance and longevity is not as good as D'un Soir. For me, there is only upto an arm's length projection (sometimes not even that length) for about 1 hour max. Then it sits closes to the skin. If you like rose-based fragrances that are more on the fresh side with the rose not being too feminine or too pronounced, Evidence is a good pick (after D'un Soir). There's something about this fragrance that is so laid back or subdued that it sometimes feels/smells like you're not wearing a fragrance AT ALL - just a rose-scented lotion. That pretty much sums it up, in my opinion: "a rose+pine/cypress scented lotion"

Yves Rocher as a house sits at a strange position for me. On the one hand, its available to test so no blind buys, smells pretty good, smells pretty natural and has (during one of their semi-perpetual sales) excellent price to value rating. On the other hand, none of their smells ever seem to have this 'x' factor that makes me want to smell like it, and projection (but not longevity) seems lacklustre. Whatever style they try to do, more often than not, there's a competitor doing it smelling better with a better performance. Comme Une Evidence Homme is the first one I've eventually folded over and got. Like their others, there's nothing special going on about this, but unlike the others I do feel I can have a use for something like this, and in the pricepoint there seems little I would prefer over this. Comme Une Evidence is the epitome of inoffensive. Its classic, certainly not something you'd smell alot today, but has none of the dated notes. It has nothing aquatic going on, no sweetness screaming for attention. Just a soft, floral, manly, clean smell.

Irresistable & Sophisticated. Citrus top / spicy floral mid / light woody base The scent is sophisticated and irresistable because of its spicy floral accord. Sits close to skin but detectable in whiffs at the air. highly versatile but i find this can be more suited on a date when it starts to get cuddling. highly underrated and unique in its own way. Aside from comparisons with cartier declaration d'un soir., YR's Evidence ph sits on the same bench with Spicebomb, D&G the one, Boss bottled BUT is more versatile. If you are tired of fresh citrus or aquatics this summer or on a hot day. this is worth to check out! The 2nd fragrance worth buying for a full retail in YR next to cuir de nuit. get yours while its still on a discount.

This is a very natural, unobtrusive and spectacular fragrance coming from a house with deep respect of nature and it's products never failed me. A good colleague of mine use this now and the smell is really fresh, peppery and also intriguing. I had to ask him to let me use it to make my own mind about it and all I can say is: wonderfulness in a bottle. 'shamus1' and 'Perfumaniac' pointed out very well: "dry, very woody.. transparent fragrance..perfectly balanced" resp. "harmonious..an invitation to those perfect moments of a man's life". Go get it guys !...a hidden little fresh-woody treasure is there at a very reasonable price ! This will be in my buying list for sure. My personal rank 7.9/10. ☣☣☣

I tried this today and bear in mind it was just a quick test. First things first I find the scent is lovely however less than an hour later it is almost completely gone (very close skin scent). Perhaps it lasts better in warmer/milder weather (here it is around 8C degrees today)? Or perhaps it's just my skin chemistry. This does remind me of Declaration d'un soir by Cartier but the opening of that one is more spicy/peppery, some my find that harsh, some may argue it gives 'Soir' some character. I find there is less rose here too. Comme une Evidence left me wanting more and even feeling a little cheated (due to the performance) but I'll definitely give it another try.

Rose in a men’s fragrance? Yep, it works. Along with the pepper,cypress and the woody accords it becomes a well-balanced masculine scent, good for evening or formal occasions, too. Complimented by both women and men! Doesn’t have the best longevity, but I think you should go easy on the sprayer since the notes can be a bit harsh in the opening. Stays long on skin, though. Sadly discontinued in stores here. I see online that it’s been re-released with the transparent flacon.(same as Ambre Noir and Cuir Vetiver) Hopefully not reformulated. I had the original black/greyish flacon which was very chic.

مرسی ایوروشه مردانه شیک بسیار فرش و لطیف و اینکه این عطر نسبت به قیمتش عجیبه که اینگونه بوی فرش و زیبایی دارد بروی پوست من که دوام و پخش بوی متوسطی داره یرای فصلهای گرمتر میشه استفاده کرد نه به این دلیل که بوش سرد باشه و کلیشه ای و یا اینکه فروتی باشه و لیمویی! بلکه آنقدر بوی فرشی دارد و ته بو کمی فلورال از نوع تازه اش و بازهم میگم نسبت به قیمتش خیلی خوبه اول بوش کمی تند هست ولی کمکم ملایم میشه وبوی فلورالش در میاد خیلی زیبا رایحه پرتقال را با رز آمیخته و اون هم احتمالا به خاطر ایوروش بودنشه!!!

This is a good one to keep near the front of the collection. While there may be some applications that are better than others, this one still goes anywhere, anytime with anything. It's the O negative of colognes. It's perfect when you want to put something on but don't want to stress over what's the ideal integration for your application. Lots of wood, mostly pine. I don't get the pepper or cardamom though, two notes I especially like.

Approachable, bright cypress surrounded by masculine roses and pepper. Light, calming, natural and a bit spicy. After I own Cuir Vetiver, I tested all of the Yves Rocher men's line and this was one of the great ones. If you enjoy fresh-woody and can tolarate a rose note, would reccomend this. Performance is classic, horrible as usual. Buy for cheap, spray a lot/spray frequently and you will be set. Cheers.

Added this beauty to my collection..This scent is fresh and elegant.I get a lot of very pleasant vetyver mixed with good amount of rose and that is the reason why i think it smells exactly like Bvlgari Man to me. Nobody will dislike this fragrance as it is so well done without any sharp or synthetic stuff.. Feels so nice and clam to wear this.Total worth in terms of price and smell!!

nothing groundbreaking here, but i have to say it is a nice scent, i get that cyprus note that is relaxing for me, nice balanced with the rose, it' there during the scent develops more. pepper not so dominant. nice versitale scent, for all year arround, daytime too for the price you cánnot go wrong. there are many many designer frags, with higher prices with less quality

Decent woody, spicy scent with a kind of rose in the back. Its more of a cypress, woody, spicy scent than a rose forward scent. If you stretch it hard you maybe see some similarities to : Cartier Declaration d'un soir....but very very minimal as you have almost no rose in Comme une Evidence compared to Declaration d'un soir. Decent scent for the sub €35,00 price.

Another masterpiece from YR seals the quality stamp on Yves Rocher products. Nothing synthetic,not very light and not sharp,elegant and floral and balanced to perfection.Mandarin and cypress with a touch of musk. Lacquer shoes and tailored black pants and a tie with golden thread-yes,that is how you feel when You apply Comme une Evidence Homme.

A very safe scent that goes with just about all occasions. It has better than average longevity and decent projection (maybe a little better than the ratings on here but not quite heavy). There is nothing unique about this one but it doe smell good and would be a great choice for everyday use. I would give it a 7.5/10.

I have both Kenzo pour Homme & Comme Une Evidence Homme and they to me are not similar. Amazing how people can smell things so differently! Kenzo pour Homme is very unique and so far nothing is similar and in my opinion it's far better. BTW, this is a very weak but nice smelling rose scent.

Fragile. I think it's the key word. It's soft and gentle. Rose and cypress, yet masculine enough with pepper nuances (i do not why, but I think about white pepper). Stays soft, close, dries out pretty fast, but in a good way, like a rose scent gone away by the forest wind.

Comme une evidence is a good fragrance did not give me immediately goosebumps or I did not get dreamy about it, but my girlfriend loves it and I get lots of compliments from my female colleagues and friends and family, one gets noticed wearing this ...

Scented water of decently high quality, reminiscent of A&F Fierce to me, and of course Decleration d'Un Soir by Cartier. I would not use below 15 sprays, and that is moderate projection for a grand total of 4 hours, if you're lucky.

It is a nice perfume that ends in a peper-flower mixed note. I like it for the the autumn and spring. It is a bit mysterious scent sensual and aromatic. A great perfume that can match with the bigger famous brands.

I was quite surprised how floral this one gets given the opening is very traditional. It gives a lot of range to a collector of fragrances. I think in colder climates, it's next to useless though

To my nose , it"s more similar to "Kenzo Pour Homme", with in the head notes , the same salty notes and the same cedar . "Déclaration" has this particular note of caraway , that has not at all "Comme Une Evidence" . "Déclaration" is more refined, the smell of a skin whereas "Comme une Evidence" is the smell of a landscape The Yves Rocher is much woodier: the cedar + the guaic wood make it "thicker" and the patchouli in the evolution gives an impression of land in front of the sea . The Cartier is more evanescent with a sweaty notes that you don't have either here in "Comme une Evidence" Definitely more "Kenzo pour Homme" than" Declaration"( all the more , there is no rose in "Declaration" ) Longevity is very good as well on linen as on skin

I think it smells of strong window washer for the car.

i dont know... much too sweet for a sporty sexy guy
