Fruit de Noel

This one would be a winner if it had any longevity. But I do love it. Good for a spray before bed.

Veeeeeeery gourmand and foody ! I usually love the almond note , but this is a lttle too sweet , it smells like cake , the smell itself is pleasant , but i don't believe i would like it on me.

Yummy! Opens with orange creamcicle and drys down (quicky) to a smooth cream with just a hint of orange that lingers. As an almond lover I find it a strangely absent note. Possibly a hint of marzipan in the background rather than almond. To me this is a unisex gourmand, perfect for anyone who wants to smell edible at close-quarters or bedtime. I wouldn't pay a lot for it as it isn't strong or groundbreaking but if you find a great deal like I did (about $22 on eBay), I'd say to try it. P.S. This is what I thought the opening of, Amo Ferragamo Salvatore Ferragamo was supposed to smell like from all the reviews. I find the Amo much more complex and harsh (but still delightful).

The almonds on this make me feel sick. I really want to like it as i got a set as a present, with shower gel and body lotion. But even the lotion makes me feel queasy. This made me think I could not wear perfumes with almods, but I do love Tardes which is heavy on almonds. So I just think Fruit de Noel has very synthetic almods, too sweet and sickly.

At the first spritz, I can notice the orange and citrus notes. That quickly fades into something creamy and sweet which I guess is the almonds, but seems like something else. I found this description of the fragrance on the Yves Rocher website: "The Marvelous Fruit from the enchanted tree is filled with the delicate milky notes of Almond and Vanilla combined with the sparkling scent of Orange. A delicious, cheerful scent, perfect for the holidays. Sparkling and fresh fruity notes, followed by the delicate and comforting notes of almonds on a base of vanilla. Surround yourself with a scent inspired by a marvelous fruit, sparkling with happiness and the subtle sweetness of harmony." This description says there are vanilla notes [which Fragrantica doesn't note], so I think this is part of the creamy/almond scent I smell after the citus fades. Overall, I think if you like warm/vanilla/cake/almond/cozy scents, then you will like this. If you are looking for citrus, then this is not the one for you. Longevity note: Although the citrus notes fade within the first 5-10 minutes, the "creamy" scent lasts for hours.

i have to agree.. no lasting power at all... it would not be a bad fragrance if it had ANY lasting power... i think it is more "christmas" than the fleur de noel 2011, but even the bodylotion does smell like nothin'.. hmmm.. i think i will only use it as a room spray (i also have the christmas room spray from yves rocher and even the room spray is more intense.. they should have done that one as a perfume^^)... so all in all the smell is not bad but even if this one is not expensive it is not really worth the money, because it is gone after a few seconds :(
