Mon Rouge

I could've gotten it for free, but I read some reviews here and many were negative so I didn't get it. Well, I should've gotten it and I'm here to defend Mon Rouge. It reminds me of Euphoria by CK and slightly of Flowerbomb. On me it's quite spicy which I love. It makes the scent more mature. I get the fruitiness, but it's not girly. I thought it was girly in the beginning, but the more I smell it the more I find it classy, more mature. I understand why people find it harsh which I think is the patchouli, but to me it's getting on the border of being annoying but hasn't reached it, fortunately. I'm testing this in spring time. Unfortunately, the bottle is ugly. It's like YR doesn't want to make beautiful bottles anymore 😔. YR, bottles are important, too. Be more creative in creating ecological appealing bottles. It can be done. Come on.

so interesting! really like it at first - familiar but strange too. definetly not fresh, maybe a "light" heavy perfume tuberose-like. Then, I smell something like Mon Paris (YSL) or l'interdit (Givenchy) but not as sweet (fortunatly, i can't stand mon paris)

I really like this nice little EDT from Yves Rocher. The plum note is what attracted me first. I'm a sucker for perfumes with plum note. This is lauded as floral cypher gourmand at the store and I think it delivers. The plum and blackcurrant notes make it juicy and fresh as the opening. Iris and neroli give it a deeper intensity. Instead of being regular tropical fruity gourmand, it has a cool detachment and aloofness quality that I like. Plus patchouli is giving it a minty herbal smell. Very appropriate for the holiday season. A cold berry mint of fragrance juice. I wish like everybody else, that this has better longevity and sillage. I just reapply as many times as I needed. Of course the blackcurrant in this reminds me of Si Passione Intense that I also have. But Si Passione has a lactonic quality this one doesn't, where it is focusing solely on blackcurrant and jasmine.

Very nice to be the first to review a new perfume in here! I just got my Mon Rouge in the mail today. The description of the notes and composition sounded like something right up my alley! Patchouli and plum? Yes please! Well, I should have trusted the aesthetics of the packaging more than my inner picture of the composition. Mon Rouge is fresh, fruity and a happy scent. It also has a bit sourness to it. I don’t detect the plum unfortunately. I see it more as a daytime perfume than for a dinner or a date. Good for baby shower or a garden party. My five sents: Mon Rouge can become a hit at Yves Rocher actually. It is just not for me. Maybe for a younger girl/woman?

It's the interesting scent of patchouli. At first it is very sharp and knocks you off your feet. The patchouli is really nuclear here. But then the patchouli smoothly transforms into chocolate. And this transformation is very original, I like it. I can't smell any other notes. Patchouli rules here from the beginning to the end. This fragrance is definitely for the cold season to reveal its beauty. Two or three sprays are enough to understand Mon Rouge. It is beautiful and extraordinary in minimal dosage. You may not understand it from the first use. But give it a chance, wear it for some days or months to understand its uniqueness.

The opening is ghastly! Patch, yes, but everything is drowned in synthetic blackcurrants. I'm getting a rasberry vice too, but that's probably just me. I had high hopes for the plum, I was hoping for a rich, overly ripe plum, but I can't smell it at all. The drydown is somewhat better, but it's still a fruity, synthetic mess. I will give it one more chance, but then I'm giving my bottle to my daughter who thought it smelled divine. She's 15.

smells like mon paris by ysl, but this one is surprisingly more elegant! mon paris is heavy on red fruits and thus is sweet. mon rouge smells 'red', not like red fruits but more like what you would imagine a red lipstick to smell like.

It is quite sensual and mature for the bottle. Reminds me of avon patchouli indulgence but less powdery and more juicy

I got a sample mini-bottle of it with my YR order. I can not say I like it enough to wear it, still, in a strange way it made me feel good. This scent screams "80s" out so loud! Huge hair, animal print, leather, plastic earrings, tasteless, yet still fascinating, loud, in-your-face and totally fun. It is overly sweet, the sort of sticky sweet I usually hate in perfumes. It also has a synthetic, hairspray-like note. Plums and black currant are present, but under a ton of sugar. I also smell some flowery notes, could be a synthetic jasmine? Patchouli is also noticeable, but not the earthy, dry but a somewhat sweeter and way more plastic-like version. Oh, and the bottle... there is no excuse for that, seriously. It is just so cheap looking and ugly. I must confess, even though I might sound superficial, but a perfume is a hobby, a feelgood luxury item for me, so the paper box, the bottle and the scent are all part of a sensorial experience I am looking forward to. It might be the best scent ever, if it comes in an ugly plastic bottle, I will not buy it. And this is by far not the best scent ever :)) I think I will use the mini sample up at home, alone, while cleaning and listening to looooooud 80s music :)

I like this smell. It adds some maturity to my collection, I can not say this is for 15-23 years old girls, but rather for someone who got some confidence in their life but still remain feminine and beautiful. This is a perfect scent for some chilly autumn days and I use it a lot within this season for a day and evening time. It compliments and blends well with moist smell of falling leaves, mushrooms, burnt wood and autumn berries. Unfortunately, it just stays for 2-3 hours with rather moderate to weak silage so you need to reapply. The bottle is too simple and it does not look like a beautiful object at all. I quiet enjoy the smell but probably will not repurchase unless YR will send me another gift for this one.

I don't know why, I can't get to love this perfume, though I usually like patchouli scents. Maybe because the plum is too dominant? (definitely not my favorite note), or maybe because of the iris? (I don't particularly like it either). Moreover, the neroli is non-existent for me! It doesn't repel me, but I always turn to other scents when I want to get a perfume on. However, I find the scent quite original compared to the almost identical perfumes these days, a bit retro, and the longevity is excellent! A perfume that would best suit a mature woman in her 30s. 6.5/10

This is shockingly strong patchouli for a few minutes,then it morphed into something that smells (to me) exactly like Love2love Mimosa. Odd but I'll take it. I just wish I got the lipstick feel that was mentioned here. It lasted a couple hours like this and had a soft Iris skin scent for awhile after that. If anything, Yves Rocher has taught me to be more tolerant of patchouli, I still would prefer to not have it at all,but if it's in a scent I can probably wait it out.

I got this perfume as a free gift from Yves Rocher and I am glad that I did, because I wouldn't want to purchase this perfume. It is a warm and spicy smell, so definitely more suited for mature women but it dries down smelling a bit syntethic and smells like an overall like a cheap perfume. I also dislike the packaging, it looks cheap and seemed that there were zero effort into the packaging design.

This starts off with a sharp and horrible opening, after a few minutes it settled down into an extremely strong patchouli with an also strong Plum. I normally love patchouli but this was way too much!! After 30 mins it now smells similar to Flowerbomb but not as fresh. This is a strong perfume with good silage however it’s a no from me 🙁

This is a beautiful but quite boring sweet fruity scent. After fresh start it turns to something that is almost gourmand. It is too sweet and heavy snd not partucularly fresh. I do not know anything I could compare it to. Maybe reminds me of a tiny bit like Mugler Angel. First time I loved it and bought a 30 ml bottle but after a few sprays Im bored already. I can not see this similar to 80s scents as uit does not cause me headaches. It is not as sharp and screetchy as 80s scents. It is more modern. I think this is suited for younger crowd.

Smells like something out of the Britney Spears line. Not that it's a bad thing. It's fruity and girly, young and carefree. Disappears within minutes, but for a younger audience it is probably preferable. It's pleasant enough, but not really something I lean towards now that I love orientals and sultry, heavy scents. 15 years ago I would probably go bananas over this, though. I don't think it will stand out in a crowd, but it's definitely nice.

This smelt too unpleasant to me and I had to give it away. Maybe it was too strong. But there was something that I couldn't stand, something that went over the border of an acceptable chypre. I am surprised by the (green!) list of notes: is any of those really present? This scent is flaming burning red rose or something like that! :)

I tried this from the trial fragrance napkin they gave with my purchase and my impression is horrible. It smells gasy-oily, sweet but cheap and fruity-floral.

I can't stand neroli or iris and am often not fond of fruits so it makes sense that this smells very bad to me. I get no patchouli at all with this one and the fruit smell is a bit synthetic. There's a white floral in here that isn't really helping any of the notes out to be honest.This is odd because usually Yves Rocher perfumes are made with better ingredients. I got this as a free sample when I ordered another of their perfumes, but I would not buy this in a million years.

it's definetly a very mature woman smell , the patchouli is overwhelming , the perfume is very strong if you are into heavy scents then you would probably enjoy this , not fresh in any way , this is a scent for a very cold day just two or three spritz might last you the whole day , i wouldn't wear it on a sunny day might choke you or give you bad migraines .

I have got miniature of it 5 ml. Actually I am starting to enjoy it. This fragrance reminds some fragrances of the past. There is a retro vibe for sure, spiced up in a retro style. I find this fragrance similar to Marine de Bourbon "Princesse" and Avon "Far away" and some others. Not a modern fragrance, but that is a plus.

this smells disgusting I hate it rlly bad , don't blind buy this one , I did get compliments on it but I would definitely not buy it again nor recommend it , it just smells very cheap and too strong and not even that good , it doesn't have any sweet scent to it or anything

Smells like something from Avon. This type of a scent. Bottle although, is even worse then Avon does. I wonder how far economy on bottles nowdays still will go..looks incredibly cheap..next bottle will be made of a ..plastic? :)

Synthetic flowers, smells as horrible as Euphoria by CK or something from Avon..cant spend my 5 ml bottle:))

Today I smelled it on Yves Rocher store and a few minutes I don't like this scent. It really reminds me La vie belle but bad version of it. It's really screaming patchouli and some sweet dark close notes. It is not fresh, floral, pure, soft it is really cloying and a suffocating smell for me. Strong artificial fragrance like syrupy kind of sweet scent. So it is definitely a huge no for me! If I want patchouli sweetness I prefer LVEB. If you like LVEB you may like this too but I don't recommend it. It is more cheaper than LVEB but it is not well blended and it felts like somethings wrong with this scent. Longevity is quite good btw.

Firstly, I hate the bottle !! Cheapo looking,IMO. The scent is a typical mainstream easy to like scent,but not remarkable. Fruity/floral....not really powdery...a light patchouli is present. Airy..no real "depth" in this blend. In the dry-down...I like it more. The vibes I get here are "celebrity" scent...Victoria's Secret type scents....and yeah..also some Bath and Body Works spray mist type scents. This does not smell "bad" at all....just not in my type of scent category. EDIT: The dry down reveals: Chanel Coco Madmoiselle vibes...for sure. Again...you have to let this develop on skin before final judgement...IMO.

Exuberant, though decadent. It opens up with plum and something "green", probably coming from the patchouli ingredient. It settles like a juicy classic, without losing its audacity. I can see myself wearing it in winter, probably due to the plum pudding association. It also has a floral "layer", somewhere in the background. Definitely a fruity-woody scent, if that makes sense.

I can’t believe nobody noticed more how similar to Tenue de Soirée Goutal the dry down goes. Side by side it’s almost undistinguable. Sweet iris and patchouli silk, with a distant fruity topping. The only difference is the price, which can strongly influence our taste, obviously. Funny.

I do not like this at all. Everything in this perfume screams cheap. The bottle is a disaster and the scent is not much better. Cheap fruitchuli. Smells artificial. I do not find this similar to Mon Paris at all. Can’t talk about Flowerbomb, haven’t smelt that one.

I received it as a gift. When you first spray it, it smells too spicy, later it becomes sweet but still there is this intense spicy smell. Not exactly my cup of tea.

Really like this one! I miss Flower Party by Yves Rocher. This one makes me happy the way that fragrance did.

This s sweet patchouli fragrance, a bit similar to Si. I like it a lot
