My Shiny Vanilla

I've been looking for a simple vanilla fragrance for days when I simply crave it. I want some sweetness but not too much, and not a lot of other notes complicating things. This fits the bill! From testing it in the store, sillage and longevity seem so-so (not terrible though). But this is very inexpensive so when I get it I will spray on as much as I need to! Edit: Bought it, and have sniffed it a bit more. I feel like it has an orange top note - my boyfriend doesn't though, go figure. Maybe that's what vanilla flower smells like? It gets a little less orangey as time goes on. Not sensing much sandalwood. The scent reminds me of something from my childhood; I think it's one of the scented cupcake dolls I had. Very comforting and cosy. I spray 5-6 times and get decent sillage. Edit 2: I think the thing it reminds me of the most is the discontinued fragrance from The Body Shop, "Cosmic Candy", that I had twenty or so years ago. I had missed it!

A simple woody vanilla, less boozy than Vanilla Woods from 7 Virtues, and less aromatic than Vanille Insensee from Atelier Cologne. Upon first spray, I get a slightly strange candied citrus, but that fades away minutes later, and settles into a sweet vanilla with a kiss of sandalwood. With only three notes, it's linear, but cozy and pleasant. This scent has a low sillage and 3-6 hour longevity, but you can't beat the price for 100 ml.

It's a beautiful, slightly sweet, velvety-warm vanilla. It has more notes than those declared and a very subtle bakery-like orange note. It stays close, cozy and warm. Really comforting at bedtime. With more sprays can stand forlre than 4 hours in the skin, as it warms up, you can feel a cashmere note that is not cloying at all. It's totally worth the price. Keep in mind these are limited editions.

Denna parfymen är helt fantastisk! En riktigt bra gjord vanilj doft inte många lyckas göra. Köpte den på rea och ångrar mig INTE att jag har den i min parfym kollektion. Dock har den inte alls bra hållbarhet :((. Men den luktar i alla fall väldigt gott. Vanilj blomma känner man mycket i doften vilket mildra ner en hel del av vaniljen och ger känslan av spa.

I detect some pear in this vanilla fragrance. It’s sweet and airy and slightly powdery(kind of like powdered sugar). Not overly sweet though Not too complicated but not too simple either. I randomly get whiffs of eau duelle when I wear this.

The notes are wrong here. It starts very citrussy, following by baking vanilla and wood, drying down to coconut and wood. Very nice and woody fragrance ever so changing. Lovely 💕

Warm, cozy, soft vanilla. Really comfortable, a perfume for the bed, while snuggled with a book and cat under a heavy blanket. Best perfume ever.

Absolutely divine sweet vanilla. Great on its own or for layering. Wish it came with the matching shower gel and body lotion.

Don't get this, if you are expecting a straight up vanilla and sandalwood scent. To me this is not it, it's a whole other animal. Yves Rocher had a christmas lip balm called something with pear and vanilla... This perfumes smells like, if you took that scent and turned it into a bubble bath. It doesn't smell like straight up soap, but a nice comforting pear and vanilla bath. It is not that strong and I would say it is suitable for daily wear. It's a fun cheap little scent that hits the spot when I need something that specific. But I did expect it to be something else completely.

It's a lovely, creamy, soft vanilla with a touch of sandalwood in the background. Perfect to wear at home on winter days or nights. Very comforting and pleasant, for the times you just want a simple beautiful vanilla. 20 euros for a 100 ml is a great deal with this one. My only complaint is that it really doesn't last, if it did I'd be buying a back up bottle and wearing it a lot outside of home.

It is good vanilla-sugar perfume. I like it but my boyfriend hate it he says it is too vanilla cloying. I agree with him but still like it. But it's not sexy or attractive perfume I think it is more cozy, winter scent for homewear outfits on. I didn't get any woody vibes, btw.

A simple and satisfying vanilla. One of my very first fragrances, many memories are tied to this scent. Cozy, romantic, and comforting, however not very special or surprising. I'd have to add though, that to this day, this is still one of the only vanilla perfumes I enjoy.

An olfactory DELIGHT! It smells like vanilla cake just out of the oven! Warm, sweet, yummy... Such a cocooning scent for winter evenings <3 I thought it would be a little too woody, but no! Just a perfect balance! 9/10

It was too suffosscating, yes sweet but very heavy. And it didnt even last.

I'm a sucker for vanillas, so when I saw this, I had to purchase! I have also never been let down by Yves Rocher's vanillas, with the exception of Vanilla Noir, so I was pretty confident in this blind buy! So let me say, I am not disappointed! The vanilla in this one is candied, but not overdone with sugar either. It reminds me of a marshmallow-y vanilla. It wears close to the skin, like most other YR vanillas. It reminds me a lot of Hollister's Festival Nite for her, but with the notes flipflopped--heavy on the sweet/marshmallow/vanilla notes, and with light traces of something fun and fruity. Also the scrub, more so, in this scent, reminds me of Naturistics vanilla lip balm from the 90s! Just a nice, simple and enjoyable vanilla note dominates the fragrance. While My Shiny Vanilla is definitely not JUST vanilla, it is also not an overly complicated or an odd mix of notes. I don't sense much amber in this fragrance, though it's mentioned in the description. Whatever the true notes are in My Shiny Vanilla, they do work well together! I feel like there are more notes at play than what are listed here at Fragrantica, but that's my own subjective opinion. Overall, this is a safe vanilla for gifting or everyday/office wear. The base notes that are faint by the end of the day are very similar IMO to My Vanilla Garden's perfume from YR too, which I have as well.

The best vanilla fragrance for everyday wear. Super yummy, yet inoffensive. I wear this when Pink Sugar would be too much. I can’t believe this is only a limited edition, but it kind of makes it more special too. It’s vanilla with a hint of a woody base, but the sugary vanilla comes through all the time.

A sweet marzipan flavored vanilla, So rich and decadent. I love it.
