My Vanilla Garden

I just bought three,100ml bottles for $10CAD (no, not a typo) at my local Yves Rocher (Montreal). It looks like this will be discontinued soon, so if you're a fan, or if you weren't sure about blind buying, I would suggest going for it - especially at this price. I just bought my bottle today; it's a safe blind buy as a vanilla addict. MVG reminds me of Orchidée Vanille by Van Cleef and Arpels, for significantly less. The scent lasts long on me, especially on cotton/linens. A love for me.

Don't bother it's listed as similar to Lira. It really isn't. My vanilla garden smells quite citrusy in the dry dywn, and maybe that's why people think they're quite similar. In my opinion they are not. Maybe shares some dna, but that's it. But this is a gem from this brand. The vanilla in the opening is LOUD. It immediately made me think of those malizia fragrances from early 2000 and every kid I know had. To be more exakt, it smells like "bon bon malizia". So first spray invoked a lot of memories but the vanilla in the opening is VERY cloying. But that disappears after five minutes or so. I pick up a lot of unlisted mint here which I absolutely love. Vanilla is still in the dry down but much more toned down. So this is a fresh, slightly spicy take on vanilla ( and believe me, you will pick up the mint note too!) Very afforadble, easy to reach and addictive. One of the better Yves Rocher perfumes i've tried :)

I was in love with My Vanilla Garden at first. A perfectly sweet, warm, gentle fragrance, not too complex, not too strong. It's charming, yeah, and that's about it. A sparkly touch of orange in the first ten minutes, a little juicy blackberry, and then just warm vanilla. It isn't very linear, in the sense that the drydown doesn't smell much different from the top. It smells the same at both start and end, only in the end is the fruity notes have faded. I find I can't really expect complexity from a fragrance with only three notes, and it's nice to have, because it's just one of those fragrances you put on in a rush, not thinking twice. You can go about your day, knowing you probably aren't offending anyone. Also, for a fragrance with only edible notes, it doesn't smell edible or gourmand at all. Definitely christmassy, even wintery, but not edible.

Very pleasant EDT. We distinguish well the 3 olfactory notes (vanilla, blackberry and orange) and it will surprise you every now and then by swishing from a note to another. Definitely not boring! Also, the vanilla is very soft and not at all heady. The orange here is for me a little bitter (more orange peel than orange), and sometimes I feel like I smell orange blossoms! The blackberry is discreet but very present, which suits me (not liking red fruits heavy scents). I honestly looove this perfume <3 However, the longevity is mediocre (like all YR's Christmas EDTs) so most of the time I wear it when I'm at home and I want a soft and cocooning scent that won't bother anyone around me. Surprisingly, I have received much more compliments on this scent, from boys especially, than any expensive perfume I own! 8.5/10

You know that “vanilla powder” a certain coffee chain sets on their condiment bar for people to shake into their drinks? Someone dropped a not very juicy blackberry on the counter and shook dusty, sweet vanilla powder to cover it. If you lean in and get close, you may enjoy the scent. It’s very pretty, in a comforting way. If you go for another whiff, you’ll discover that you can no longer smell it. That is My Vanilla Garden. If they made an extrait, I would be all over this. A 100ml bottle will probably buy a well moisturized perfume lover about a week of noticeable scent.

Honestly I don't smell anything other than vanilla. A linear scent with decent longevity but an intimate projection that won't catch much attention as a very simple vanilla profile. The vanilla does its work but ultimately it's overpriced for what it is. It smells good, fine, but I don't see why anyone would specifically wear this over the many other fragrant on the market, many more complex and specific which would likely work better for you. The bottle is not great either. Currently using as room spray.

This one really smells like a softer version of Casamorati Lira. Bought them around the same time, so I could layer the vanilla from My Vanilla Garden, with Lira's vanilla and blood orange, but surprise! They smell pretty much the same to my nose.

Inoffensive vanilla, don't detect much of the fruity notes and doesn't last very long. For the price, nice scent to spritz at home while relaxing with a warm cup of whatever..

It's nice. But I would not name it My Vanilla Garden, because I can't really smell vanilla in this frafrance. To me it's mostly blackberry and orange.

Sweet lovely but simple vanilla overload. Some blackberry and a tiny hint of orange. Nice and cozy scent for winter. Like it!

its very comforting and cozy scent but lastls like 1 hours max.

The first spray gives a very very nice hint of freshness from the orange. Then the blackberry comes through after about 20 minutes. But those fruits totally disappear after 30-45 minutes and you’re basically wearing a nice vanilla. I mean..... the opening is the best. But it doesn’t last. Kind of one of those trick perfumes that gives a great opening but then dries down mediocre. The longevity is poor as well as the projection. I mean you have to spray a lot. A lot. Luckily it’s cheap.

It smells exactly like the vanilla scented candles one can buy in every store around chtistmas. I was so happy they brought their Bourbon Vanilla back, I really liked that one, but this is a weaker version with that berry accord which makes is smell like scented candles. It is a no from me.

Really disappointed, it sounds like a gourmand dream. It's very cold and strange. A skin scent of vanilla which is good, but the surprising trail mentioned in the description is 80s potpourri. And the cedar chest your grandmother kept wool clothing in to keep moths from eating the sweaters. It's the same note that ruined My Kiwi Kiss this past spring. The vanilla is cold and aloof like their Cuir de Nuit. Not much blackberry to be found. I don't want to smell like the Christmas section of the craft store. I'm pretty much done with Yves Rocher now, always too much patchouli, cedar, or something harsh and distressing mixed with most of their scents. The only thing I love of theirs is Monoi. After an hour the vanilla is gone, but the holiday potpourri comes and goes for a few hours more. There's also a medicinal feeling to the drydown, I don't think I'll buy anything from them until my stock of Monoi oil and EDT runs low. 1 out of 10 for the idea of a delicious,warm vanilla blackberry that I'm now searching for. Edit: I like it a bit more now, I've lost the popourri note after a few more wearings. It's now a nice little vanilla with a tiny touch of fruit, I almost catch the berry, it's very fleeting. Wish it was a vanilla blackberry knockout punch. Next up is layering with other vanilla or fruiy scents. Amazing how the nose can chsge. A high like for now.

I am really happy with this purchase! (And my very first Mercari shopping experience, which was excellent!!!!). Yves Rocher has some real vanilla gems IMO!! My Vanilla Garden dries down to a soft lovely vanilla with the slightest hint of citrus. It is NOT AT ALL similar to YR's Nuit Vanille, which I also have--though I see this as a top suggested "smells like..." Overall, to my nose, My Vanilla Garden is a "fresher, less rich" version of YR's Vanilla Bourbon scent. Base notes also remind me a lot of Katy Perry's Mad Potion vanilla perfume, perhaps slightly more candied. For a soft, everyday wearable vanilla, this one's a keeper for me. It doesn't remind me of a vanilla candle or air freshener like other generic vanilla perfumes may do. I also don't feel this is a winter vanilla any more than a great option for summer as well--it wears well in cooler or warmer temps!

I get a fairly basic sweet blended vanilla that dries to be almost exactly like Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef and Arpels, which I love. I am loving this too. I don’t really detect the fruit as separate, certainly not by dry down, which is light and skin level but still present 8 hours later. A nice easy to wear vanilla.

Very nice citrus vanilla with fruit...reminds me quite a bit of 4160 Tuesdays Rhubarb & Vanilla. It's on sale for $10 for 100 ml on their website right now which is crazy cheap if you need help deciding.
