Tropicale Tentation

Wow. Delicious. My dear husband brought this back from Prague as a present for me and frankly I was not much compelled by the opening notes or the smell of the bottle. So this delightful bottle sat in the cabinet, once in a while taking it out to sniff the cap. But wow when you actually just spray it on already! How delicious! What a lovely fruity scent! Like a candy from childhood. Like melon scented chewing gum. Like a night blooming white flower. Like a paradise garden... These are all apt descriptions for this sweet and delicious fragrance.. Reading the notes of bitter orange and osmanthus... I completely understand. Two of the most wonderful scents in my experience. In the natural world they are both super stars of beauty. I love both notes. Together in this perfume they (synthetic versions I would guess) create a simple yet wonderful explosion of fragrance that really just smells so good. Uncomplicated and just plain good. A little cloying if in the wrong hands but here I think they are just right. This would layer wonderfully with more complex scents. I would becareful however not to overspray as the sweetness could become cloying if mixed with multiple sprays of multiple perfumes. Perhaps a nice woody gourmand eau de toilette layer under this... I am thinking of Prada Candy L'Eau would layer nicely with this candy like scent! Beautiful.

I gave this as a gift after trying it on my skin. It is a lovely fragrance! If I could describe the joy and peace at the same time this scent makes me feel. It is the kind of perfume that makes your mind travel. Another thing I noticed about this and other Yves Rocher fragrances, is that the names really makes sense. There are not too complicated or ambiguous. Kudos to the marketing team! LOL 😂

I bought a bottle for myself and my mother in 2022, and we both really love it. This gets a 9/10 only because the scent fades away more quickly than I'd like. But it's light and citrusy and beautiful. I wore it on a trip to France last summer, and every time I smell it I'm reminded of that wonderful trip.

This collection is amazing. This smells like fresh clean clothes. The citrus is so well done.

This is a linear perfume, so there's not much change after you spray it - it just gradually gets weaker. Even on clothes, I can only smell it for about 2-3 hours, and then it has to be reapplied. However, that's true for most of the scents in this line - they are more of the EDT intensity, despite being labeled as EDP (surprisingly, Yves Rocher also has body mists that have greater holding power, like Vanilla Bourbon). The orange + apricot combo does indeed give strong passionfruit vibes, and it is indeed NOT cloyingly sweet. Completely unisex and great for the summer, but can also be used indoors in colder months as a mood-booster. Yves Rocher occasionally has good discounts, and if you get it at a cheaper price, it's great for its value.

Fragrantica left out a note. This fragrance contain apricot, along with bitter orange and osmanthus. It's extremely fresh and juicy with a dry and very slightly sweet drydown, laced with leftover fruit juice. Opens bright with aromatic orange peel and apricot flesh, then gets progressively more powdery. It isn't extremely sweet or cloying. I prefer gourmands mostly, but it's a great summer perfume, since some of my juicy fruity favourites get a little too sweet in very hot weather. I like both the opening and the drydown on this. It has good surprisingly good sillage and longevity for a perfume without any of the regular base notes, like woods or musk or patchouli. Those would be out of place in a fragrance like this anyway.

Tropicale Tentation is a simple fruity scent, perfect for warm summer days. As is the case with all 'unisex' YR fragrances launched in 2019, the list of notes is incomplete. Yes, osmanthus and bitter orange are there, but I can also smell some exotic fruit (mango and/or passion fruit), freshly cut lemon, and probably iso-e super in the base. I would say that this one was 'inspired by' Kilian's Moonlight in Paradise, but obviously it is much weaker and 'thinner' than the wonderfully luxurious Moonlight in Paradise. Still, if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful summer scent, look no further.

There's no way the pyramid of just two notes is correct. I get osmanthus, yes, but orange bitters? Nah. Pretty sure there's mango or passion fruit in it. I also get a bit of suntan lotion, too, so there's a possibility of having coconut and frangipani in it, though tropical fruit is definitely the most prominent note. I think it's well blended, linear, and simple. I like it for summer by the beach (not the gloomy and rocky English beach, mind you!) and some juicy cocktails. I can't find a full bottle of this where I live. I wouldn't mind having it in my collection though,

This is probably my 2nd favorite from this range after Cuir de Nuit. It smells similar to Naturelle Osmanthus. Perfect for summer daytime :) For a fresh citrusy scent, it has very good lasting power. I spray it on my clothes and I can still smell it after 3hrs.

I don't know it's just me but I get DG Light Blue when I spray it directly on my skin. On my clothes, it does smell like orange. Perfect for summer because it is not cloying. Sadly, it does not last very long.

So refreshing and uplifting. Good for a quick spritz and go, for running errands or something. Safe blind buy if you're a citrus fan.

The only thing about the new edition that works for me is the more elegant bottle design. The juice itself is kinda ruined for me. The ratio is off, it somehow got sweeter instead of powdery. I am very sad about the lack of bitter orange in it. Not to even mention that logivity and silage had became non existant. I used to get compliments for this throughout the whole day without renewing it since morning, the new one on the other hand is barely noticable. It is not unpleasant now, still wearable, but a huge dissapontment in comparison with the original.

I have to give Yves Rocher credit where it's due. They have some of the best photorealistic scents. Right out the gate, I smell fresh cut bitter orange and apricots. On my skin, it smells like I rubbed said fruits all over my wrist minus the sticky feeling. I'd prefer this as a body wash, but I also think this would be lovely on a beach vacation drinking a Mai Tai. I'm not sure where else I'd wear this.

i like this more than i thought i would. it's a pretty apricot-osmanthus with bitter orange- a nice balance of sweet and bitter so it doesn't go too far in either direction. i don't often wear fruity scents, but i like this one and would occasionally wear something like this in summer.

Too fruity for my taste. It smells like an exotic tropical drink, which I would rather drink honestly than splash around with. Very pleasant though; I can smell apricot and not only orange! 7/10

this is going to be discontinued (along with garden party, nouveau genre, voile d'ocre and autour de minuit). if you like it, grab it while you still can.

Very green, fresh and pure. "Water plants in a glass bowl". Totally non-sweet. Citrus-dry. Sometimes shower gels smelling, but usually not, though. Scent of some fruit... grape fruit's peel. If part of the scent is passionfruit, then that part is very mild and light, fortunately. (Fruit, with hint of lily?) Not heavy, but moderate or soft EdT. Surprisingly it lasts hours. "Refreshing liquid". As "unisex" as clean water is. This one suits well for men too. I wear more feminine & warmer perfumes, this is not suitable for me. It doesn't even feel a perfume.

Tropical fruity scent in the Escada style. If you live in the tropical climate it might go well. But if you live in the cold climate it will make dissonance with the air temperatures and reality around..:)

There’s something in common with the fruity Mugler Angel flankers (the croisiere ones). The opening is great, but pretty soon it dries down a bit generic. I really like how the osmanthus is done here. I wish it kept the opening notes.

It smells like passion fruit, coconut and lemon. And maybe a hint of bitter orange. But 90% its passion fruit. Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 6/10 Quality: 1/10 It does indeed smell in the same vein of Naturelle Osmanthus and Escada.

This resembles the Escada fruity summer releases. It has moderate projection of green mandarin and mango. While complexity lacks, the fresh notes (which are not too natural) make a fun scent for hot days.

Their biggest loss was discontinuing this,it was a perfect sweet-citrusy perfume,good for any occasion. The smell was godly,sad,it lasted so long on my clothes. (pls bring it back)

Exactly Escada edt style and I am happy about that because it is exactly what I was looking for. Fruity and fresh vibes.

Smells like toilet freshener. Actually my toilet freshener has a much better lasting power. Simple lemony scent.

Nice, but a few time ago Yves rocher has edt Aquarelles Vegetale with the same smell. In style Escada edt.

Fresh refreshing juice, so summery, and the fruity combination gives me a sweet mango cocktail sensation.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned that this smells like Light Blue??
