Vanille Bourbon 2000

I think it is the best budget friendly vanilla scent ever. It is not expensive, yes; but it smells not cheap at all. It sits so well on skin and smells of pure vanilla. I bought it for the first time before a trip to Paris and now when I smell it it reminds me of the delicious, warm parisian bakery smell on a chilly autumn day. I love this fragrance very much I can not remember how many bottles of it I used (ok mum also helped to consume :) ) . Dont compare it to the TBS Vanilla scent because they are not at the same league at all. TBS Vanilla smells waaaay synthetic and cheap. But you won't regret buying this one. I always draw compliments when I use it. +the lasting power is amazing.

One of my favorites. another rich deep vanilla scent from Yves Rocher. I always come back to this edt when I fancy a vanilla scent. Very long lasting

This is for the old version, in a dark green box. I find this to be a pleasant fragrance that does what it says on the tin, i.e. smells of vanilla. It's rather linear and doesn't develop much - what you get at the start is how it stays. It's not exactly natural-smelling, but certainly not synthetic either. It smells like an idea of vanilla rather than the real thing. Tremendous longevity and I can understand why it might trigger headaches for some people. I tend to enjoy it for a while and then get tired of smelling it I just looked up "bourbon vanilla" and apparently it's the name for all the vanilla grown on Madagascar and other islands in the Indian Ocean. It has nothing to do with alcohol. So I learned something new today :)

I kind of like it... when I don't spray it directly on me. I just spray a few times in the air and walk in the cloud of vanilla! And even then people can notice this scent on me. It's sweet, very sweet! A warm vanilla scent that hugs you! And every time you return to the room where you sprayed it... Mmmm vanillaaaaa!!! It stays on and it doesn't cost much! Just don't spray too much or it gets too cloyingly for others and...even yourself! Don't try this if you don't like gourmand perfumes, this one is a heavy gourmand....

Yves Rocher's Vanille is the 2nd best vanilla scent, 2nd only to The Body Shop's Amorito. This scent is so warm, lovely, feminine, sweet and foody that I have emptied at least 5 100ml bottles so far. I will definitely buy another bottle the next time I am on the continent as unfortunately Yves Rocher still have not opened a shop in London. Edit: The bottle got a makeover and a new name - this one in now called "Organic Vanilla".

I bought this recently for the sole purpose of layering with other scents. So today I layered it with Dalimania for the ultimate candy experience and I have to admit, I'm impressed. It's even better then I imagined! You have to adore supersweet scents though or you'll be disappointed. Lovely sweet and candyish vanilla which on it's own kinda smells like caramel on me. Very inexpensive, too.

An average vanilla scent, pretty nice. I bought mine (a huge 100ml bottle!) from flea market the other day so I'm not sure if it has gone bad or what, but there is some kind of weird smell in it... Like alcohol or something. It's annoying and disturbing every time I smell it. Oh well, my boyfriend has said "you smell nice" twice today. Good enough for me.

Super sweet gourmand with carmelized sugar and vanilla, reminds me very much of L de Lolita Lempicka when it opens (except that L seems to have more notes and complexity overall), then much later during the drydown it reminds me of Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille, of all things! (which I couldn't pull up on the "This perfume reminds me of . . " menu above.

Got mine in the mail yesterday! Well worth the $10! It smells like vanilla with maybe a bit of caramel or amber. Very candy like, sweet and warm. It doesnt smell cheap which I was worried about and it has pretty good lasting power. Smells a bit like Serendipitous.

This used to be my signature scent when I was a teen. It's cheap and lasts very long. It is very strong and now I don't wear it as much.

My grandmother gave me a bottle when I was young. I loved the sweet, warm vanilla as a child! I don't think I would wear this scent nowadays, but the memory is a happy one!

I'm still in search of that deep, dark, warm vanilla (like the base in Black Opium without the pink pepper and fruitcholi.) This is one of many many ebay purchases in search of "the one." This was not a hit. It smells like a warm vanilla extract. I don't know if it was the ebay seller, but this smelled watered down and was VERY weak. Yves Rocher has nice fragrances, but it is not my fave like my Guerlains. But of course, I would be comparing apples to oranges as this is such an affordable brand. But I do feel for less money, there are way better vanillas. Thanks to all of you lovely Fragranticians for all of your wonderful recommendations. My search continues...

I can't say that this fragrance smells truly vanilla. Intensive, long-lasting, sweet, but not truly enough. It's something between natural and gourmand. And not pleasant enough. Speaking about of nearly this price level I prefer vanilla fragrance by The Body Shop, because it smells more natural, so I have this one.

I was presented the cosmetic set of this: perfume, scrub and the shower gel. The shower gel and the scrub were usable, but the perfume... ouch! Strong synthetic, smothering and not long lasting (to my happiness) baddie like other fragrances from this series.

I used to have the old bottle, and like a few months ago I got the new bottle. My mom says it smells amazing, because she likes soft parfumes, and at first I thought it smelled nice too, but now I changed my mind, the smell is just not for me. it smells like chocolade milk. A good thing about this perfume: It's very longlasting & you can smell it from a few metres distance. Whenever I pass by a friend, they say that they smell me before they see me. Also Other friends say that it smells like chocolate milk, so i'm not the only one. Conclusion : It's not a bad perfume, you just have to be into vanilla & warm smells (no fruity smell etc) very much.

I had this parfume then i was around 20 years old. Actually i can not say i loved it, but it was ok. I was studying and havent much money, so it was quite a good decision for me (quite cheap, loong lasting, nice smell). Now i had oppened my box, where i'm keeping some old stuff and had found a bottle with this fragrance and even 1/3 full. And again, can't say i love it or like it very much, but it's ok. I like to mix them with Jeux de Peau Serge Lutens and then i get a really nice smell. It's a bit pitty, but to love or to like this fragrance very much, i'm missing some more ingredients in it.

This smells like a heavy burnt sweet vanilla. As all Yves Rocher fragrances I have tried, it has very weak longevity, but sillage is reasonable. I like to leave a good scent behind when I pass people by, so I always prefer to have a very strong perfume. That's how you make a statement :-). I was given this bottle by my sister who didn't like it, so I use it for random and casual occasions like going to the gym or to the Starbucks to study. I wouldn't wear it for going out or for work, or anything formal. Maybe I'll start wearing this before going to bed at night.

I bought a small bottle of this to see if I would get luck to have an in-expensive yet fabulous vanilla scent. Well, disappointed again. Vanille Bourbon on me smells not at all like warm creamy vanilla. I've no idear with the smell of "orange juice with caramel" that maijaaijam mentioned, but I think it's quite like those yellow-ish gel(usually with a sweet lemon flavour) that's used for decorating cake. I think my skin chemisty doesn't go well with this scent, but it worth a try. If you got luck, this would be a great low-budget choice.

I got it for my birthday a couple of years ago, 20 ml, and still havent used it. The perfume is known to cause quite a lot of people a headache, thought very beautiful, it is very strong and has got some nauesating ingredient in it; it is very long lasting unfortunately. It took me a while to get to used to it, but still I cant wear it for a longer time; I sometimes use it as a base for a different perfume.
