Verte Envolee

I'm so glad I tried this in store today. I was taken aback when I saw someone mentioning this smelt like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and even removed it from my wish list as I really really loathe that fragrance. But still, I saw it in store today and gave it a try. I like it. A LOT! It does remind me a little of that cursed EA fragrance but it's MILES better. Doesn't smell like Glade lemon scented toilet freshener (unlike EA Green Tea) so that's really good. It's lemon tea in a bottle. I find it really similar to Karl Lagerfeld Fleur de Thé but this one is a tiny bit more aromatic - more 'green', whereas that one stays lemony throughout. To put it another way, this one is 'tea' first and 'lemon' second, whereas Karl's Fleur de Thé is the reverse. Also, Verte Envolée has a rose dry down. Who'd have thought? I love both Yves Verte Envolée and Karl Fleur de Thé. A happy surprise which exceeds expectations.

This is what I've been looking for. I love it. Fresh citrus, calming tea, light base. It's perfect. Slightly soapy on me, which I don't mind. I'll be exploring more tea and citrus scents, but I am extremely grateful for finding this perfume! I tried Light Blue but the opening wasn't citrusy enough for me, though the drydown was beautiful, and I tried Light Blue pour homme and I loved the opening but the drydown is just slightly too heavy and masculine for me, so it's not a daily wearer. This perfume, at least on my skin, mixes these two beautifully: a citrus opening reminiscent of Light Blue PH, and the soft non-offensive drydown of Light Blue OG, plus some beautiful tea. I will say the opening is pretty soft and delicate compared to Light Blue PH, which is more of a sparkling effect on my skin. I'm very sensitive to heavy smells and lots of ingredients, and this gave me no reaction. Love it!

I think Yves Rocher has some hidden gems for daytime wear. They don't win in the sillage department or longevity department. With that said I wear these more like a body mist that I can refresh throughout the day. This verte was truly arresting in its bold combination of tea, lemon, rose, and bergamot. A fragrance I wear several times a week to the office as it serves as a fresh, pick me up. Always get compliments for this from men and women. I imagine it would smell a bit more musky on a man, but I believe this to be a scent that is pleasing for a woman or man to wear.

It was a blind buy because of the reviews and because of the author of the scent. Having tried it I see that this smells like a cheaper/YR version of Bvlgari's Mon Jasmin Noir L'Eau Exquise (by the same author) which is one of the best scents I've ever smelt. They are similar! But VE is certainly lighter and does not stay that long. I also didn't note the sometimes unpleasant and even blatant "cheap frag" part in it which I am much afraid of when blind buying something cheaper.

Reasonable price for the good quality fragrance! I like this a lot. Fresh tea and a bit sweet but not disturbing me at all. Especially when you live in the hot climate country that almost every perfumes can give you a bit or a lot headache. I tried and bought it almost right away. Easy to use, not too complex but interesting smell. Feel like you are shower 10 times a day :D . And last long on my skin more than 6 hrs.

I have it now; I bought four bottles of this perfume and I'm ready to buy more because it's refreshing, pleasant, and innocent, and it doesn't give me any headaches while I'm working like other strong perfumes do.

Light. Fresh. Lilly of the valley -resemblence. Not sweet. Very green. I lift this from Like-section to the Love, although my favourites are sweet scents. This is very good.

Reminds me of delicious iced lemon tea. Has a soapy note on me which I enjoy. Feels clean and fresh which is what I love, living in a hot, humid country.

This was a terrific blind buy! I was just thinking about posting a request for suggestions for a new gym scent but now I don't have to as this would be great for the gym. It's bright and refreshing. A lovely tea, begamot, lemon (and I feell like lime also) scent. Not a powerhouse but still noticeable. I sprayed it 3 hours ago and it's still lasting which is really good for my skin as scents tend to fade very quickly. This would be a great daily office scent. Impossible to offend. Rated it a "like" but it may get upgraded as I wear it more. Solid purchase for a good price.

Another nice "Green Tea"-like fragrance for hot summer days, with a clean, crisp, very natural bergamot and tea leaves note, nothing fancy or complicated here, but very comforting. Unfortunately the musky base causes my S.O headache so I have to spray it very carefully. I am glad the bottle is a bit nicer again - the recent eco bottles with the cheap plastic caps are so brutally ugly that I gave up on my Cherisier en fleurs bottle I used to rebuy for twenty years. It is still not beautiful, but way more pleasant than other YR bottle designs.

Had this not been handed down to me, I'd surely never try it. It's a nice, fresh, non-offensive, bang-in-the-middle unisex tea scent. Nothing unique and tbh it's a great thing. Surprisingly, it lasts long enough and projects quite well for a summer freshie - definitely not worse and even better than premium summer freshies (NB: I spray a lot). With its current price, it's a safe blind buy too - $32 CAD / 30ml & $48 CAD / 100ml on a sale where I'm at right now.

When i first smelled this, i thought it was the same as sel azur. But i have found i like it more than sel azur. I like to use it on days where it is hot and i just want a fresh clean scent. Doesnt last very long but i dont mind, sometimes u just want something short term. Great for after shower.

This smells very nice. Fresh and a bit sweet, like a pleasant shower gel. It’s a good scent for hot days if you are looking for something relaxing and clean. On my skin, main notes are tea and rose, with a citrusy touch.

It's just.. Ok. I like it but it reminds me a lot of the "Eau Fraiche Green Tea" (by the same company) which is much cheaper, and both have the same longevity. "Eau Fraiche Green Tea" is even better in my opinion, because I find "Verte Envolee" too citrusy, hence killing the fresh and light bitterness of the green tea. If you're looking for an elevated green tea perfume, and are not a fan of fresh citrusy fragrances, I'd suggest you try "Poudre Matcha" by Kenzo. Oh my.. Green, musky, powdery, and slightly sweet green tea. A must have! 6/10

It smells like an earl grey tea with lemon slices. Its fresh and green, altough not my type of smell its super pleasant. And im not a fan of citrus scents! The application is difficult, theres no difuser and its just an open bottle, first time i opened it it got everywhere! No matter how many drops i use its not very potent.. very weak. Not worth the price point but smells nice all in all.

Bright, spring and dewy fragrance. In green notes is dry, but citrus and bergamot lend it freshness and spiciness. Tea is detectable only a little: more dominant is rose. This scent is feminine and noble. Airy, with balanced musk. Personally I don't mind but I don't like. I appriciate the sillage, which is mild: it suits to the type of the scent. Longevity is near 4 hrs.

I blind bought this online. It starts off citrus green tea and dries down to a green powdery tea rose. I don't know if I'll keep it since I prefer Yardley English Rose for a rosy tea fragrance. The longevity if poor. It might last an hour.

Wonderful refreshing summer scent.

As a big fan of tea and citrusy bergamot scents, I grabbed this thinking it’d be like Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber. At first it was, but once it settled it turned into a heavy, musky Elizabeth Arden Green Tea vibe. Way too strong for me. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Mine just smells like cleaning supplies :-( It is not nice at all.

This smelled terrible to our whole family. Alcohol smell top and foremost -- smelled like cleaning supplies. We couldn't get past that so I have no idea how it dries down. I scrubbed it from my wrists because it was nauseating. It seems like genetics plays a part here because apparently some people just love it! I wish it smelled good, but gah.

I was disappointed because this reminds me too much of an old Yves Rocher parfume called The Vert. I got it for free from Yves Rocher though which makes it excellent value. I think Yves Rocher is the most generous company ever. I wish they would start duping their vintage fragrances from the 90s. I miss pivoine, nuit orchidee and many others my mom used to wear.

I purchased this almost as a blind buy and use it after showering with Green Tea Shower gel from Yves Rocher...Such a lovely fresh citrusy scent! Perfect for spring and summer mornings after the gym :)

If you like this, get the Herbal Essences clarifying tea tree shampoo. It doesn’t smell like tea tree; it smells like citrus, and it smells exactly like THIS fragrance.

Very light and fleeting. It starts lovely, fresh and green but after 10 minutes it turns very similar to Thé vert with a noticeable green tea note.
