Atlas Garden

I selected a sample of this fragrance with an order from YSL. Somehow my box was damaged in transit. When it was delivered, I was immediately hit with the most fantastic smell. I was confused, because I thought my Libre Intense had morphed into something incredible that I didn't recognize. When I opened my package, I saw that it was the sample of Atlas Garden that had totally shattered and left it's amazing scent everywhere. I removed the other items from the package and wiped them down - the Atlas Garden remained in and throughout the packaging. The first few days, the fragrance filled up a room. It's been almost a week and I can still smell it on the box and paper inside when I get close (no, I haven't thrown it away). My Libre Intense was also damaged, but all I could think of was getting my hands on this Atlas Garden to see if it was as good on my skin as it is on cardboard and paper. Today it's in my YSL cart. I'm trying to justify spending $175 on a fragrance that I want, but in no way need (of course, I haven't "needed" any of the others, either). I'll update when I try it because I know I'm going to get it. **UPDATE** Yes, I succumbed to my wants and purchased a full-bottle of this beauty. Here's the kicker - I can't smell it on me!!! I know the scent is there and it projects, because others can smell it. I can smell it in my car if I'm gone for a short period of time and the same in my office. I do love the scent and just have to remind myself not to overspray. No regrets.

BDAY GIFT TO MYSELF🥳🥰🥰🥰 *Long Frag Story Ahead* I first tried Atlas Garden in Holts right after falling in love with Magnificent Gold from the same line. I was so afraid to enjoy more because this line is pricy but to my luck this scent shocked me as well. It smelt like a better version of Love by Killian, so I set it aside (since I have Love and I love that scent enough.) I tried it one more time during a different trip to Holts and sprayed a blotter card. Later that day, the scent was projecting the most LOVELY scent from the card. Verdict: This is one of the best sweet orange blossom scents I've ever tried... tbh THE best. What I get is L'interdit + Love Don't Be Shy + Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense mixed together, making it superior than all 3. Think sweet orange blossom + intresting unique date sweetness + nutty seseme + ambroxan (synthetic molecule used in niche scents). Think LDBS but with dates as sweetness. Think LDBS turns 30 this year. Also, much superior to Alien Goddess Intense, Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune and Prada Paradoxe (three new fragrances with similar vibes) Fragrancebuy & FragranceNet have this at a deal so I got myself a bottle. I am extremely happy especially after testing multiple times... it is currently projecting yummyness into my nose.

I absolutely love this perfume. I discovered it at the Bon Marché in Paris a few months ago on the front display of the YSL corner. When I first sprayed it on my wrist, I was hyptonized: very strong orange flowers with an animal twist. Then something very sweet made me almost nauseous. I guess it was the smell of dates. But the time I got back home the scent had turned into the most sensual orange flower blossom I had ever smelled. I checked on Fragrantica to figure out what the notes might be and couldn't find this perfume, nor on the YSL website. I thought I was mistaken about the name. Anyway I was obsessed about this fragrance. When I was able to go to the Bon Marché last month I headed to the corner and tried it again. I got an "Atlas Garden" postcard on which the assistant sprayed the scent. Believe me or not but the handbag in which I put the card still smells of "Atlas Garden". The longevity and sillage are awesome. I agree with the last review. "Atlas Garden" has similarities with "L'Interdit" but it is way stronger and sweeter. More oriental (not incense and oud etc...) but it reminds me of oriental pastries such as makrouts with a strong orange flower flavour. I've listed "Atlas Garden" as number one on my birthday wishlist...

"Synthetic Orange Blossom Floriental" I generally love big orange blossom florientals and this one is another love. I hate to play the "reminds me of" game but Atlas Garden reminds me A LOT of Armani Code for women. It's definitely about orange blossom but that really synthetic/artificial kind just like Armani Code. It's sweet and almost veering into gourmand territory but it isn't gourmand - it's definitely a sweet floral oriental. Others have compared it to TM Alien and I do get that comparison, but only if you're not already familiar with Armani Code. I absolutely love it but unsure if I love it enough for $175. I do think it's better and lasts longer than Armani Code (which is fleeting), which gives YSL Atlas Garden higher points. If Atlas Garden were under $100 I'd definitely buy a bottle in a heartbeat. It's a big, blousy, sweet, warm and sizzling little OB floriental. I recently got a decant of PdM Safanad and I like it much more than that one. Bottom line: love it, if it were less expensive I'd buy it. As I near the end of my decant let's see what happens... Bought it.

I always liked “L’interdit” from Givenchy but it has some harshness that felt synthetic to me. Recently I smelled “Atlas Garden” from YSL exclusive line and I realized this has some similarities to “L’interdit” but much better and at the same time very different. It’s a very nicely blended fragrance. In the opening Atlas Garden has a almost gritty texture like when biting into a sugared date, very nice. The rest of the fragrance is very smooth. I did smelled it before reading about the notes and thought it had tuberose in it but from the notes listed on the website it hasn’t. Doesn’t matter because I just love it! It also has a nice salty aspect to it. I love salt notes in perfumes it works very well on my skin and adds a extra dimension to the fragrance. It is a lovely fragrance with a beautiful design. I’m just not sure about purchasing it because it’s very expensive and longevity on the skin is just ok. But I must say on clothes it is very long lasting. Edit; Finally bought it! It’s still amazing and longevity is great on the skin and clothes!
