Babycat Raw Bourbon

Babycat Raw Bourbon goes below a lot of people's radar because of its more famous and illustrious forebear; the iconic Babycat by YSL we all know and adore. BRB is one of those super rich, very sweet and sexy fragrances that epitomises the concept of a sexy and mysterious date night fragrance. The rich vanilla is dark and raw and is moved to a higher plain by the spices and resinous amber in this. There is a slight booziness to it as well which reminds me a bit - playfully - of the way bourbon whiskey tastes in sweet cocktails or poured over vanilla ice cream. The original Babycat is rightly acclaimed as one of the greatest vanilla fragrances ever and its flanker is a darker, more hedonistic imagining of the same DNA. It is interesting that the two have basically the same notes but feel quite different. You can wear the OG Babycat to the office and in the daytime. BRB is not office safe in any way. You'd have a meeting booked with HR by 9:15am if you tried. Not because of the scent or the sillage but because wearing this makes it likely your workmates will start removing their clothes and flirting uncontrollably with you. BRB evokes for me the flavours and richness of bourbon whiskey, dark bourbon vanilla, minerally pepper, brown sugar and of buttery, impossibly rich Segai Rhutab dates. The slightly minerally top comes from pink pepper and some beautifully-judged saffron. Together it is symphonic. I always find the pink and black pepper top notes here to be a nice surprise every time I wear it as you always forget that they are there, so dominant is the vanilla. I am always surprised at how powerful the pepper is in this, not in a bitter or smoky way but working with the smooth sweetness of the vanilla and the richness of the same suede accord we see in Animalique by Byredo (which is another one of my all timers and an equally unbelievable date night scent choice). The effect is mesmerising. Don't get this twisted. There is an awful lot more going on here than dark vanilla, that is for sure. The drydown is, for want of a better word, spectacular. I know I can be over-effuse at times but please believe me that I cannot think of a better adjective to use here. The dark vanilla starts to recede after an hour or so but never truly leaves and it brings in the other accords one by one in a really clever way. The peppers start in the opening and stay in for the duration but get more easily discernable as the vanilla calms down. The saffron moves against the mineral textures of the peppers whilst the suede warms up and grows. It is not linear in any way. It almost smells like a different fragrance after six hours when you are left with suede and saffron with some amber and pink pepper and very little vanilla. Babycat Raw Bourbon is quite literally an echo of a great date night. It starts off soft and easy, super sweet and smiley. Then it heats up, gets spicier and more serious as it goes on and ends as one of the sexiest most eye-closingly erotic skin scents ever. It stays as a memory on the skin for the lonely taxi home with the tender dawn tainting the horizon, with the booze still thudding in your temples and the breathlessly addictive taste of the other person on your lips, imprinted on your mind. You get home and you make yourself a cup of tea, sit silently on the sofa and decide not to go for a shower just yet because you want that memory to linger a bit longer as you stare at your phone and wonder if the other person is going to message you, or whether you should message them. You sniff your wrists as the memories flash into your consciousness. Lights. Darkness. Music. Smoke. Her lips. Her eyes locked onto yours. Her hair. The way her skin smells. The softness of her touch. Lying in the half light listening to Massive Attack, sheened with sweat with her taste on your lips. BRB is all of this, in fragrance form. Well. It is to me. My opinion is that BRB is one of those dark, seductive fragrances you absolutely should have in your collection. It is a must-have. I don't care who you are. Man, woman, none of the above, any age, any size, any race, any sexuality, whatever. I used to think it had limited utility as I don't wear it as often as I'd like but I realise now that this is a "me problem" as I don't go out as often as I used to and there are simply less opportunities to give it a run out now that I'm 47 and I'm doing 60+ hour weeks most weeks at work. Good fragrances, as I've said before, remind you of what it is like to be the best version of yourself and that version of me wears BRB a lot more than I do. But the real life version of me will always have Babycat Raw Bourbon in my collection. This morphs into a beautiful vanilla after a vanilla/suede opening that hangs around for about an hour or two. It can be a linear scent when you reach the mid and dry down stages, but the vanilla here is executed to perfection. I decanted some of this for a buddy after a couple of wearings when I was getting used to the suede opening. I wasn't really sure how I felt about it yet. As I made my way to the post office, I was getting the most wonderful wafts of this beautiful vanilla that was making my mouth water. I realized I got some of this on my hands and shirt/pants. I realized how amazing this smells in the air and fell in love. The supporting notes are there, and you can smell them here are there, but it's 90% (Bourbon) Vanilla. Although they do keep this from getting boring, and add a touch of something to make the blend interesting. Overall, I think it's a great vanilla scent that's unisex and would shine in the fall, cool to cold-ish weather. I have been getting about 6 hours on skin, 8 on clothing, and moderate projection and great sillage. The sillage on this one is amazing. I think this is very overpriced at retail, but at discounters, it is fairly priced once in stock. I'd rate it an 8-8.5/10. If you're a vanilla lover and want something good for the fall, check this one out. This stuff is almost edible. I've tried stinky ouds, smoky leathers, sweaty cumin, and a bunch of in-between. On a challenging scale from 1/10, I'd give this a 2/10. The suede was a little odd for the first wear or so, but once I caught a huge waft of this in the air, it was over. If I could recommend anything, I would say let this one come to you, meaning don't go too crazy with sprays close to the front your face. Edit: wife hates it. Guess its going up for sale. Damn shame this nose broken syndrome.

Such a shame it took so long for me to experience this fragrance due to my closest YSL boutique not having it in stock forever, but it certainly did not dissappoint and was well worth the wait. Right off the bat it's easily one the best Vanilla's I've ever smelt in a fragrance, and it's complimented beautifully by a soft non offensive leather/suede note with a little spiciness and resins in the back, with all this mind I'd say its a rather well blended scent, in the sense that I feel it's perfectly balanced in all its other facets below the vanilla to accentuate it. It's a very addicting fragrance and the testing paper it was sprayed on made my room smell absolutely divine for the next 2 weeks, it really does have a richness and darkness that many vanilla fragrances I've tried in the past simply don't come close to, or even in the same realm in that regard, projection is top notch too as on my skin it projected in a strong scent bubble for a solid 10 or so hours. In terms of what occasions it's best in, undoubtedly its a date night/dress up fragrance, tho I could see a usecase as a daily driver, it's richness and boldness really do accentuate and compliment the idea of it being a formal oriented scent really well. Perfectly unisex and addicting to both guys and gal's from my experience, with it being a big compliment getter as well. Goes without saying that it's most definitely a colder weather scent, I can see you getting away with it on a colder day in spring, but please dont wear this in summer 😅. In conclusion I'd say its a solid and beautifully crafted vanilla centric fragrance that every self respecting fragrance lover should try atleast once is it overpriced in my humble opinion? Yes, but is it a near perfect vanilla scent that'll turn heads?, most certainly. 9/10

Althair my S! This is a much more beautiful vanilla to my taste. It could be the maturation of the original Babycat samples/bottles I've tried in the past, compared to the new bottle of Raw Bourbon I got, but I sincerely pick up slight differences between the two when side by side. Main one being in the opening + 20+/- minutes from initial spray, and it could even be my mind tricking me because of the name, but something lightly boozy and LIGHTLY fruity comes up, again, faintly in the beginning of wearing experience. Lightly smoky vanilla and a "brown" attire kinda vibe all the way. I can picture this going so well accompanied by an actual brown or even beige suede jacket in a fall evening, and through colder seasons (early spring even). Doesn't smell AT ALL like shorts and a polo, or whatever, this is a 3rd layer of clothes accessory. Good longevity, projection, presence in general, and with this unisex kind of a appeal that I, honestly, do not find attractive for women but I do feel rather confident when I smell it on myself. Gives it a familiar, thus still appealing enough, comfort without any aggressive edges that pull one direction or another. Actually, this could be Orom's younger brother haha Unlike Rosendo #5 thankfully and even the original Babycat, I do not pick up on this rubbery feel from the suede+vanilla (in the Rosendo, the floral) tone. This is smooth and comfortable. Good investment, especially for someone who isn't super into sweet fragrances that bring out a sugary vanilla, this is quite the opposite of something like Althair even - which is not a fragrance I hate but very different takes on vanilla. An upgrade to Babycat, in my recommendation and for a more mature smell without straining challenges, would be Bvlgari Orom.

Previously I stated on my Capeline review that Babycat has limited uses which I still stand by that point. However, it’s such a luxurious and refined vanilla scent that I couldn’t help but keep thinking back on smelling it at the airport. Girlfriend saw how much I wanted it but I didn’t really want to fork out $530 (SGD) right now and decided to gift it to me because she liked how it smelled on me. Scent: Very HIGH quality vanilla smell as many people have said. Definitely one of the best. It’s not linear as well as it’s quite a multi layered scent with the peppery spicy opening, along with a very strong leathery yet sweet dry down with that high quality vanilla present the entire time. Simply delicious. Performance: I don’t know what’s beast mode but it’s definitely QUITE the performer. Strong projection, longevity and great scent trail. Girlfriend could smell the boozy spicy vanilla before I entered the room and after I left. Definitely very good performance, as close to beast mode without being suffocating as a vanilla scent as I could imagine. Versatility: I’m a firm believer on any scent could be worn at any time of the year. However Babycat definitely benefits from colder weather and more special occasions. I live in a tropical country and mostly use it for the night but I’ve rocked it in the day just with lesser sprays and the heat really brought out the spicy vanilla notes so it’s definitely usable just MODERATE THE SPRAYS. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 9.5/10 Versatility: 6/10 Personal Score: 9.5/10 Nothing much I’d really change about it other than maybe lower the price a little (still worth it in my opinion, if you can afford to splurge a little). Only thing that stops it from 10/10 is it’s versatility or lack thereof objectively.

still one of the best scents ever and something i always put an insanely large dent in the second it gets cold over here in New England. at this point, im more excited to wear babycat (now babycat raw bourbon since i finished my babycat bottle AND my babycat dupes) than i am for christmas and thanksgiving. now, there’s a lot of talk on these forms if this scent is different than the original babycat, and as a babycat ride or die, as a babycat believer, i am here to not settle the debate and say ‘maybe, maybe not’. everytime i read that its not different i think ‘pshhh, yeah its not different’ every time i read that it is different i think ‘yeah, it does feel darker’ yet regardless, i don’t care. this fragrance isn’t aggressive, its mystical, its loved and adored by all. i consistently get told i smell good by SOMEONE, man or woman, when wearing this fragrance. the opening is slightly aggressive, the suede hits your face and you don’t smell too much of the bourbon vanilla, i pink up the pink pepper but i am a geek for that note, so take what i say with a grain of salt. as it dries down, the bourbon vanilla SHINES through, i personally pick up some incense as well, and when it becomes dark and smoky, it becomes beautiful. run to sephora and smell this if you can. purchase it if you can afford it. the blind buy is worth it, i don’t care what anyone says. my one piece of advice, buy this over the dupes/similar fragrances. i’ve been told i smell like tires/rubber when wearing Rosendo Mateu No 5, i cant pick up the beautiful vanilla babycat gives in Riqaat, and its hard for me to say they have the longevity of babycat, which consistently puts up 12+ hours on my skin, even if it slowly becomes a skin scent.

Babycat has quickly become my favourite vanilla-centric fragrance. Some vanilla scent profiles are lighter and more feminine leaning, others are coupled with tobacco, but they lack the wow-factor of the very best, which includes Babycat along with Grand Soir, SDV and Ani. This opens with a delicious boozy vanilla, elevated by leather and resins, which create a seductive, smoky, sticky accord. Babycat shares the same sweet and spicy direction as Ani, but thankfully it doesn't suffer from the rubbery, plasticky note in the same way, something that really lets down Ani for me. Babycat exudes an inviting yet mysterious vibe, approachable yet intimidating - as if its saying come closer, but not too close. This is perfectly genderless and sexy, which makes it one of the best date night fragrances I've ever smelt. Performance is well above average, this will last and project all throughout the night, and you have the option to spray 3-4 times for a personal, intimate bubble, or even more if you want to grab the attention of strangers. Although the price is extremely high, I think Babycat provides better value than most of its expensive peers. Smell: 9/10 Performance: 8/10 Presentation: 8/10 Value: 6/10 Overall: 8.5/10 EDIT: It looks like they just released 35ml bottles for £100. I think this makes it a much more viable purchase if you wear it just for special occasions and dates. A few sprays goes a long way, so this smaller bottle could actually last a fair while.

I'm smitten. Opening is understated but carnal, like a big cat on the prowl, then it softens to the most heavenly and complex vanilla. It's spiced and warm without being peppery. Love!!! Was given a sample from Nordstrom and from the initial test spray on paper, thought it might be too "sexy" for daytime wear and set it aside. Picked up the test card the next day to file with all my other samples and was struck with the most delicious vanilla scent. Decided to do a test wear on skin and clothes for the day and enthusiastically ordered a bottle that night. It dries down velvety, smooth, and rich, and I want to mist it over all my sweaters and scarves. All five scents I tried from Les Vestiaire des Parfums line are high quality with great depth. I also ordered Muse, my second favorite. Scent: 10/10 Sillage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Price: 8/10 (it's somewhat costly, but the quality and longevity support it) For reference, my nose finds Vanilla Diorama far to spicy and Byredo Vanille Antique delightfully plummy and almost metallic. Treat yourself, this scent is beautiful.

This is probably the best thing i have ever smelled, and i have smelled many great scents. I dont know what it is with this scent it is just so warm and perfect. Smelled it first over a year ago, then my girlfriend bought it for herself and i still cant get over it thats how jealous i am. Everytime i smell it it reminds me how great some things can be. In the last cupple of months i smelled more fragrances than ever in my life, especially last week i have been to 3 cities in 20 parfum shops, when i visited my girlfriend i took a sniff of off babycat and it was bettr than everything i have smelled the lase cupple of days. It is so amazing, it lasts so long my girl sprays 2 times and it lasts the whole day its incredible. Is kinda weird to say its the best scent ever because its literally a designer fragrance but it genuinley is. Unbeatable. I have as you can probsbly tell, so much love for this scent and its one of the reasons i love this hobby so much, even tho i dont even own a bottle. I would trade in at least 5 of my bottles for this one and i need to get it.

Sweet Fireworks. This one is a keeper for me. Disclaimer: I love the smell of fireworks or lit sulfur etc. The only other scent I tried that I remember smelling close to that smell was the discontinued Envy for Men. Babycat takes that sulfur smoke and places it in a jar filled with raw bourbon vanilla sticks. This is not a liturgical incense scent and it's definitely not "churchy". There is a kick of saffron just to spice things up a bit and a good dose of cedar in the base. Along with the frankincense and vanilla and pepper, I gotta say this blend makes me keep smelling the top of my hand, over and over again. I couldn't detect any Suede whatsoever, or maybe because i'm too mesmerized by that sweet fireworks accord lol. The sillage on this fills the room. Wherever you spray it, be prepared to have that room (and beyond) smelling of it for hours. This is NOT leaving my collection.

well this made all my other perfumes smell like chemicals. wow. if I could go back in time id never have blind bought so many tiktok viral fragrances and stuck to 28 until this came out. alright you’re going to have to be into spicy vanillas, think by the campfire type polarizing. the opening is resinous very strong cedarwood suede and pepper. to me this smells like what orabella tried to be, except it’s successful. it’s feeling masculine and then comes the dry down, a spicy vanilla actually the best spicy vanilla I’ve ever smelled. literally like someone put together pepper and vanilla extract, it wore for HOURS and my bottle isn’t even fully macerated. compliment grabber, signature scent worthy for the right woman or man. on my skin chemistry this was so good. it was giving exotic vanilla and it smelled 1000x better when I wore it on a cold day. xx

This is one of my favourite fragrances oat. I love the strong pepper note and vanilla. It’s a very sexy non gourmand scent which makes more masculine. It also makes it a cold weather date night scent thats harder to wear daily. (also because of the price)For the first hour it has an overwhelming pepper note and then for the next 4-5 hours a sweeter smooth vanilla and in the last hours it’s woody and I get some leather or suede. I put it on around 8am and I could still smell it at 8pm so it has at least 12 hours of longevity but at the end it’s only a skin scent. For the two hours it has at least 6 feet of silliage and it’s very overpowering then after it lowers to around arm length. I got a sample of it when I was getting a different fragrance and I’m looking forward to buying a full bottle.

I tested both side by side for several hours. The openings are nearly identical: warm, spicy, and familiar. But once they settle, the drydowns take completely different paths. The original Babycat leans more sweet and vanilla-forward as it dries down, giving a softer, creamier finish. Raw Bourbon, in contrast, becomes richer, deeper, and more boozy. The vanilla fades into the background while the resins and warmth take over. I’m not sure why people are calling them exactly the same. To me, Raw Bourbon reads like a true flanker. It shares the same DNA but pushes the fragrance in a darker, more textured direction. If you prefer a more vanilla-driven drydown, go with the original. If you’re into something bolder and more complex, Raw Bourbon is the better choice.

Babycat by YSL is my most favorite perfume. I am wearing it all the time day and night. I was worried about it after reading some reviews calling it a statement fragrance which can be quite apparent and powerful. I opted for a small bottle just in case it can't be used in our hot climate but it turned out absolutely harmonious and non offensive. It has the most perfect blend of vanilla with spices and suede. I always feel the presence of cinnamon notes, which are not mentioned in the description. It is very wearable, just so delicious! I have already used half of the small bottle in a month and purchased a full size bottle. It is quite addictive! Be careful spraying it on. This perfume has dark color and can stain light clothing.

A master class blend of spice, vanilla, and suede without leaning into the sweetness of gourmand. To me it smells like a high quality vanilla cigar in liquid form, the pepper and smokiness gives the profile a much needed bite to bring together the aromatics of the wood notes, pepper, and vanilla. My only qualm is the second dry down that has a noticeable synthetic smell which I attribute to the saffron, I'm guessing to enhance the smokiness however I've personally never liked that about saffron. All in all, although not a safe blind-buy, its an item I'm quite proud to have in my collection and I can't help but to reach for it for much needed warmth during winter.

I am a certified vanilla disliker, I tend to not enjoy it as a scent profile as I find most vanilla and gourmand scents to be almost.... childish in a way. This is one of the greatest vanillas of all time. Mature, sexy, playful, coy and thrilling all at the same time. Silk sheets with a suede finish. Upon first spray, its quite leathery in my opinion but once it has settled on the skin the vanilla is truly transcendent and almost creamy. This in combination with the boozy notes from the bourbon gives a sophisticated caramelized smell. Not like baked goods, but something sexier. Truly in a class of its own.

I have the original babycat, and I love it. This scent is a little bit different to my nose, it seems that the scent is softer, the pepper seems to be toned down and the vanilla has been increased 1 notch, it feels less gasoline compared to the original (which doesn't bother me at all, it is a nice kind of gasoline note to my nose) it feels more sugared somehow. I hate that this is just 75 ml...I should have bought the 4.2 oz. This is lovely. A slightly more fuzzy, cozy, sugared babycat. Downside...it is more quiet on my skin. Not too bad but is definitely softer.... It also has less longevity.

I can't believe it took me this long to smell it. After years of knowing about it and passing by testers many times, I never had much interest in YSL's private line for some reason, until recently and last week I went to try Babycat on a whim. Oh my god. This is so smooth, the suede note is so classy and perfectly blends with the vanilla. Just incredible. To me this is what I think of when I think of perfumery as an art form. I keep thinking about it ever since and I'm so happy I grabbed a bottle. Will surely be my winter fragrance this year.

This fragrance took me in for a ride. I tried this once in a mall over a year ago and loved it. Had some spare money so pulled the trigger. It came and sprayed it on skin really harsh peppers and saffron didn’t like it for a good week and didn’t smell like how I remembered it. I decided it to wear it again and it dried down in this beautiful vanilla. It smelt like warm vanilla drink in a leather cup. It lasted ages like 13 hours, maybe longer but i showered it off. Projection is great aswel. Expensive but really really nice

Cannot compare to the OG as smelt it once, years ago, but this definitely is beautiful. It's bold and sexy. The black & pink peppers are deffo prominent along with the suede, it opens up with quite a kick (not blind buy safe) but the vanilla does come thru beautifully, truly a beautiful scent. I cannot perceive any booziness from this and the vanilla does not feel dark either to be a vanilla bourbon. Best Combo: I layered it with Happy dust from Narcotica.....OH MY DAYS!!!! .....DIVINE!!!. Try it & thank me later.

we typically associate leopard print items with a dated campiness, amused by the idea that -- in a different time -- this was unmistakably sexy, in earnest. we tell ourselves: that's ridiculous; our standards are so much better and so much more serious now. but then comes this fragrance: that different time transported to the present, a sympathetic reminiscence of that playfulness. and so we start to understand why such a vivacious character was sexy in the first place. it is real! it *is* really that sexy!

the best spicy and smokey vanilla! i fell in love with this back when i first bought a decant and im so happy it’s finally cold enough to bring this out. this is one of the perfumes that made me fall in love with a well done saffron note. i have tried, and own, quite a few perfumes in this same vanilla category but babycat will always be my favorite. 10/10 i’m grateful sephora offers the 2.5oz as i always thought the 4.2oz was far too large and the 1.2oz too small.

If you want a true vanilla scent without that “old man” scent/vibe like a Grand Soir, and avoid an overly sweet dry down that smells like everything else these days. This is perfect if you are in your late twenties early thirties where you don’t want to smell like a teen anymore without adding a couple of laps around the sun. Very skin chemistry dependent so DO NOT BLIND BUY. It smells like cheap tires on some people so be careful.

For me up there in the top 5 of greatest night scent profiles. It’s suede, vanilla and a liquor accord that gives it a great warmth. Performance is amazing, longevity is beautiful and quality is insane. Probably the best suede note one on the market. 100/100. Perfect at what it does. Absolutely not blind buy safe. Get a sample of this, wear it a couple of times. It’s not versatile and it’s only available in full sized bottles.

I love this perfume so much, the scent drives me crazy, I feel sexy, "dangerous," almost animalistic. It's unisex, but I find it much more feminine because it's sweet and vanilla-like. Compared to the other bottle, they've removed the "rubber" smell that was present at the opening, and I find it softer, less peppery. I really liked the animalic and rough side of it, but I love this one too. The other one is stronger as well

This scent is raunchy in the best, most sexy way possible. Babycat is what a one night stand should smell like. Two of my most addictive cold weather/night fragrances are Babycat and MFK Grand Soir, and I give Babycat a slight edge on being more addictive and intoxicating. Not everyone can pull this off, but if you can pull off "sexy," then you should own this fragrance. 9/10

This is such a well liked fragrance and for very good reason, it's fantastic. I'm reviewing on this new bottle since it's the one I own. I honestly don't pick up on any difference between this version and the old bottle (I've smelled both). The best vanilla incense fragrance of all time. Many try to replicate it, but nothing can compare.

Gorgeous and modern: (not very sweet) creamy vanilla suede fragrance. Opening with loud fresh spicy notes and a dry ambery cedar backdrop, this is totally unisex. Totally chic. Though be forewarned - to the average nose there is something thick, warm and distinctly animalic in there. (A bit reminiscent of Initio’s Absolute Aphrodisiac).

I think they’ve done a really good job with this formulation. I have owned the original babycat but was always put off by the spiciness in the opening and somewhat play-dough feel to the vanilla and suede. This new babycat is a lot softer on the spices in the opening and the vanilla is wonderfully creamy and smooth, very satisfied.

one of those scents that get better the more you let it sit. dusty vanilla bomb in the opening which i assume is from the suede, vanilla, spices and cedarwood. slowly matures into a very nice blend of inviting spices, a rich vanilla and maybe even a bit boozy? lasts about 6 - 8 hours on my skin projects pretty well 8.3/10

This is a masterpiece. PLEASE do not just go into a store and smell it on a tester or from the cap. A lot of people say the opening smells like rubber, which I can sort of understand, but the dry down is heavenly. Babycat also for me smells much different in the air and on skin so bear that in mind. 10/10 no question.

Stuff of beauty this is. Wasn’t sure what I thought of it when I first wore it. Had this burnt rubbery vanilla smell to it for the first 30 minutes, and it was a little off putting at first, but as it dried down that rubbery thing went away and it became beautiful. That leather and vanilla combination is sensational.

Received this as a gift from my daughter. First impression... it’s incredible. My wife says it reminds her of Royal Crown, Sultan. This will definitely get some play in the evening. Might even wear it to work if I’m feeling fly that day. Seems like it will be excellent in the evening and for date nights.

I'm in love with this fragrance! Does not resemble RM 5 at all, it's not cloying, not overwhelming, it's a churchy vanilla. Strong smell of leather and incense in the beginning, but ot dries down to the most elegant vanilla ever. It lacks sillage, but it lasts 12hrs on the skin and it develops over time.

YSL Babycat stands out as the best vanilla fragrance in my entire collection and is also my wife’s favorite scent on me. Longevity and sillage are both excellent, rating 9 out of 10. My top 5 vanilla fragrances: 1- YSL Babycat 2- Nisane Ani 3- TF Tobacco Vanille 4- MFK Grand Soir 5- PDM Pegasus

I wore this for the 1st time and my God, what a banger. The mix of vanilla, suede, tonka and pepper is second to none. I wore this to the office and it was perfect because the type of vanilla in this is not super sweet and suede and pepper add even more girth and character. Solid 9/10.

Another perfumer was talking about Dominique Ropion and said how good he is in creating something phenomenal with a few notes and this is the proof, the pepper, saffron, olibanum, vanilla and suede accord all create magic. It’s my autumn/winter daily perfume and love it 10/10 ⭐️

This is my baby and this is so beautifully crafted. Defi a outgoing / night time fragrance and the vanilla in it is so warm. You start to get the leather notes after a while and it complements the vanilla really well. You either love this or despite this there's no in between.

It smells the same to me. An absolute stunner of a vanilla. My favorite conservative vanilla. ATH Slut Elixir is my favorite progressive vanilla. I suggest that you get your nose on it if you like this one. YSL for meetings and dates and ATH for a fun night out. 8.5/10

Very sophisticated fragrance. All the notes added together smell something like this; picture an evening when the sun is setting, and a rich man or woman in a suit, as they carry a leather briefcase. Then getting into their old, but extremely clean and expensive car.

Peppery, Spicy, saffron, leathery vibes with an animalic hint, plenty of balsamic resins and vanilla with powdery woody facets. I swear I could pick out some patchouli but maybe not and there is a dryness to the scent. Good performance and a great scent.

Negative reviews had me thinking this was supposed to be challenging in the opening... the opening is BOMB, the mid and its transition into the dry down is BOMB, this entire fragrance is BOMB, I know exactly where my next pay check is going

This is the second LVDP line from YSL i have, the scent it self is amazing date night fragrance, the drydown very addictive smooth vanilla. im happy to have this in my Collection. 9/10 from me, the only thing is not 10/10 is the price.

One of the best fragrances I've ever had the pleasure of smelling. Vanilla smoke bomb, but in a very sexy, smooth, unique way. Out of 50+ fragrances, this has easily made it into my top three, if not the best smelling fragrance I own.

diluted, the original was more powerful and refined, in this new version we only smell vanilla I have neither leather nor incense, no projection and on clothes it no longer lasts. why massacre such a success

Jujur dengan harga segini Babycat memang worth banget. Cuman memang wangi awalnya yg kayak bensin ama oli yg bikin agak aneh di awal. Tapi entarannya busettt vanilanya gokil banget. Mantep banget

My G.O.A.T winter fragrance. Such a nice balance of the vanilla, suede, and cedar. Sweet, and perfect for cold weather. Performance is rather good on my skin, overall wonderful scent profile!

Babycat RB is perhaps my new favorite scent of the many I have. Probably not a year rounder but it’ll be hard to not reach for it during the warm months. Vanilla suede spicy perfection

It's the greatest fragrance ever made for me, I'd bathe in it if I could. Beware though, it will stain white clothes if sprayed directly. I ruined a shirt or two finding that out.
