Black Opium Baby Cat Collector

i'm not at all familiar with the original black opium, but this bottle did not disappoint at all. i've received this as a present and have been wearing it for a little under 3 months every time i went out. judging by the notes and comments online (about the original bottle), i wouldn't expect this fragrance to be much different from the classic black opium, if at all any different. the scent itself is very pleasant and comforting to me. it's woody, spicy, and a bit floral. i can sense a bit of coffee in it too, but it's not as prevalent as others make it out to be in my opinion. in my experience, both the longevity and sillage are underwhelming. two hours in the street and the scent was off my body almost entirely. unless someone put their face in my clothes and started sniffing violently, you wouldn't feel any scent on me. in the defense of the fragrance, i do live in quite a polluted and windy city and i apply moderate amounts so that may interfere with the effects of the perfume. regardless, to really make the perfume present itself i'd usually apply a few sprays out of the shower about my chest with a couple sprays on the back, and then a few more sprays around hotspots when i'm dressed and just about to leave. in my experience this achieves my personal desired effect, but this may or may not be too strong for others with their conditions. as a guy, i have gotten nothing but compliments wearing this fragrance (even with my generous application process that may be too strong for some). i get that it's a very common scent in many places, but where i'm from (bishkek, kyrgyzstan), it's far less common, especially among men. the curse of this being a popular fragrance doesn't affect me in my case, which definitely scores it more points with me.

I haven’t smelled the original bottle but I blind bought this one and it’s really nice. It smells like vanilla and coffee.

I haven't seen or smelled this version but based on notes it seems to be a re-promote of the original in a new bottle.
