Black Opium Over Red

When I saw the bottle design of Over Red I was intrigued. I love the red and smooth glossy design without the glittery texture. I held off buying it because I don't trust brands with flankers anymore. I don't want to fall in love with a flanker and then a year later they take it off the shelves. Now I caved in though because I miss having Black Opium but I am over the original EDP and I think the Extreme and Le Parfum are too similar to its scent profile and I wouldn't wear them. So the Over Red it was. And I am very happy about it. Most cherry fragrances remind me of a powdery cherry medicine I had to take as a child. Fragrances like Rouge Smoking by BDK are too powdery and dry to my nose and I can't enjoy them without getting that medicine. Over Red is waaay better though. Maybe in the opening I get a little bit of cough syrup but I don't mind it at all and it fades fast. It smells super smooth, liquor like, very sweet yes, but balanced. The cherry is juicy and candylike instead of powdery. A lot of coffee is present and the vanilla is as delicious as it always is in the Black Opium range. Longevity not the worst honestly. Better than most Black Opiums (except the Le Parfum). On clothes it will last a few days even if faint. Something that the last few flankers (Extreme, Le Parfum, Over Red) have done well is that they smell smoother. The OG had scratchiness to it. The Over Red smells more mature, not as juvenile to me (maybe because of the black tea note?). While it might be my favourite Black Opium and I am happy to own it, I don't think this will be my favourite fragrance ever. Since its a flanker that's a good thing for me though. I don't think this is a safe blind buy. To some it could smell too syrupy sweet and I heard many people say they get waay more cough syrup than me. But I think a lot of people could also be surprised by this, even if they don't like the original Black Opium. To my nose this is one of the best cherry fragrances on the market.

Absolute whore smell. I used to be a stripper and a junkie. My stripper name was Cherry. I wore a blonde long wig, too much glitter, falsies, 25cm pleasers (holographic platform!) and sadly I wasn’t into fragrances yet, my then-girlfriend, also stripper but naturally a boogie hyperfemme bitch (I literally grew up as a punk DIY noise scene groupie I wore patchouli oil if anything) once gifted me a Mont Blanc that smelled like rose geranium so I wore that to the strip club, that and cheap glitter body spray. I’d smoke my heroin in the bathroom stalls then head to the pole, made a normal monthly salary in a night, but I’d spend it all on lingerie and drugs. I remember riding taxis at 4 am and very morning, I’d often cry, still in my glittery club make up and white lacy underwear, but with my not so often washed baggy androgynous gothy clothes on top, my true self. I think this perfume, with its cherry and coffee and is that caramel? Would fit that so well. This shit smells like the Private rooms felt. Gleaming champagne in the dark, red plush and feather boas, and beautiful women that secretly all want to die, just there to feed their kids yet we all put on such big party girl personas. This, this is what it smelled like. Dark feminine perfumes all have that undertone of sweetwater, rot, that rosemary-ey smell of decay. This shit made me go way back man. I’m prolly buying it next (normal people job) salary. Shit makes me wanna go back to the club fr. Now im fat and sober and medicated so I wouldn’t stand a single night, though mama still knows how to work a pole, and this scent’d make me feel dangerous and fierce enough. I know johns hate scents on girls cause their wives might catch a whiff of it back home, but I hate men anyway, good for her to get rid of him. Oh im so buying this shit.

This is very nice. In full disclosure, I've never been a Black Opium fan, although I do have Nuit Blanche, Intense, and Le Parfum (which verges on a love for me.) But none of these have ever reached "top shelf" positions in my collection. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy them when I do wear them, but I do find myself reaching over them for other things when I choose my scent for the day. It does open with a strong cherry, a note that I'm just so-so on, but I do think the cherry is nice in this one. I find it to be sweet and syrupy, and although there is a slight artificial quality to it, I'm not bothered by it. That cherry note does hang around throughout the wear of this, but in a very light way, and this progresses rather quickly to a pleasant vanilla with coffee undertones, combined with a slight smoky/woodiness of the patchouli. The predominant note in the dry down is definitely vanilla, and the rest of the notes just come in as nuance. I think Black Opium fans will enjoy this one because the DNA is definitely there. This one comes on quite strong and sexy at first, but it does settle pretty close to the skin after a couple of hours, and within about four to five hours I feel the need to reapply. I am most comfortable wearing this when the weather is cooler, but I do find it to be a scent that you can wear daytime to evening, and I think you can dress this one up or down. It is sexy, but not in a way that makes it inappropriate for day time use, because the cherry does give it rather a playful aspect. It won't be knocking Le Parfum off the top Black Opium spot in my collection, but I do feel pleased to have it. And I believe this one is probably somewhat of a safe blind buy for a cherry scent or Black Opium lover, and also an overall crowd-pleaser.

I'm male and personally think this is unisex which makes a nice change as most mens fragrances can be worn by women now. This fragrance is a master level in my opinion. this doesn't smell at all like cherry medicine on my skin or clothes, I think for lots of people cherry fragrances have been ruined by being ill as a child and being given medicine flavoured with cherries when they had a fever or a bad coff, for me that was such a long time ago I don't even remember 🤣 what it gives me though is the great memory of Bassets cherry drop sweets which I loved as a kid and still love now. I've been looking for a fragrance with subtle cherry note, not the in your face ones from Tom Ford's lost cherry, black over red does that and mixes it perfectly with subtle tones of coffee and a gorgeous base of vanilla. I've worn it to work and both men and women wanted to know what I was wearing and trust me these are the type of men who would let me know if I smelt like a women. Longevity is good too, from 8AM through to 5pm I was getting wofts of scent and the way the scent changes as you wear it takes your nose on a journey through the hours, never had that from any of the 50+ mens fragrances I own. Something incredible I discovered this weekend though is layering this with Fahrenheit edt, oh my it becomes intoxicating, put opium black over red as the base and layer more Fahrenheit sprays on top like 3-1 ratio. For those that find Fahrenheit harsh it takes that edge away, smoothes out and makes something so incredible and ladies you could definitely wear it like that too, maybe as a 2-1 or 1-1 ratio instead. Go to your local perfume shop and ask to test both of them on skin and see what you think.

I just got my bottle and I’m wearing it for the first time for Christmas Eve! Here is my report: First impression: Smoother more wearable Black Opium with hints of cherry, vanilla is a main player here, second white florals and Cherry, but very soft and smooth all around. Cherry is not the most prominent note at first sniff here IMO, but more of a very present supporting role. So don’t imagine a strong sweet almondy Cherry perfume ala TF Lost Cherry. It’s definitely more of a sour cherry, not so juicy sweet as Lost Cherry (again, as reference), but still a pleasant Cherry indeed. I’ll say THIS IS BEAUTIFUL and if you like the Black Opium DNA or Nishane’s Hundred silent ways, you’ll love this one as I do. Also, I find it more wearable and less strong as the OG, so the plus is that you can wear in more circumstances. I’d say all seasons day or night, except summer heat. The more I wear it, Cherry is coming out a bit more, verging away from the original Black Opium DNA, but it’s still there. Lovely. Last edit: it wore well, not as long lasting on me as other reviewers mentioned. It got to be a skin scent on me in 4 hours. I still find the OG to be more long lasting in comparison. At the end of the 4/5 hour mark Cherry went away unfortunately. I still stand by that this is a smoother easier to wear Black Opium, but I actually wish the cherry note was stronger. I think I’ll layer with other cherry fragrances.

The opening gives me plenty of cherry & vanilla, a pairing which will last throughout the weartime of Over Red. The tea note also develops immediately, alongside light wisps of the mandarin. We get the classic Black Opium white floral heart focusing on orange blossom and jasmine. I'd say that the jasmine is stronger here compared against the original, but nothing majorly different. The cherry & vanilla combo prevents the florals from becoming too intense. The base in Over Red is smoother & less dark compared to the original Black Opium; as the tea note fades away and the florals become more powdery, the coffee and woody notes develop, alongside the patchouli. The lingering cherry and vanilla keeps the base lighty creamy and not too smoky or bitter. Over Red is a "apply in the morning and it'll still be present in the evening" fragrance, that lingers on material for a few days. I think that I prefer Over Red over the original tbh - the switch between zingy tea, to warm & earthy coffee, with plenty of cherry and vanilla dancing thoughout it all is very moreish. A great mix of newness to the line, but also enough of the classic Black Opium signature for fans to enjoy.

Boy, I really wish this lasted longer. Cherry fragrances really have silage issues. Don't get me wrong, you get a few hours out of it - on clothes I can feel it for close to 8ish depending on how much I spray, but for something at this price point it does not have the longevity of the extreme or OG flankers. Which is too bad, because it's an amazing cherry fragrance. That being said, it's lovely, lovely. I don't find it synthetic, it feels nothing like a cheap cherry perfume. It's a more syrupy and slightly less floral version of OG. It's sweeter, which I like. For me, it's a spring perfume. I was almost expecting it to be darker than OG but it's not, it still feels quite young and fun and light while mixing in some mellowness and softness that makes the OG's sexiness more submissive, which gives it that Spring feeling for my nose. But I do tend to wear very sweet and or dark perfumes year around, so take that with a grain of salt. Dry down is similar to OG, if less floral. Will definitely buy a bottle, and would love to see a combo of this and extreme in the future.

This is one of my favorite perfumes of all time and I’ve kind of made it my signature sent , I’m absolutely addicted to it and I know it’s already really popular and probably doesn’t need too much of an introduction, but I don’t know why more people don’t call this the greatest cherry fragrance of all time because I kind of just think it is, I have smelled so many cherry fragrances. It’s one of my favorite notes but nothing does the trick like this does it’s just beautiful , it’s unbelievable, I will never not have a bottle of this in my rotation , if you’re a girl definitely pick this up on the spot. It’s not too expensive on discount sites, guys are a little more limited on this but as a straight male, I can tell you it is possible if you have the right vibe you just gotta be creative It works really well with black nail polish , that being said I obviously wouldn’t recommend this to the average man, either way this is definitely gonna stay a favorite of mine I just love it!

It is absolutely gorgeous and I dont care about the pillar. But this gem? Perfect. It is no longer red covered by smoke like my first impression. It turned even better in the bottle - smooth and delicious. Cherries thoroughly blended with floral notes and gourmand vanilla. Deep, sultry but not too serious. Still with certain lightness and medium strength. One of my major loves that broke my nobuy spell. And if I did not like to explore this fiels as a hobby I would still get it for its beauty and wear passionately. Last fragrant love being Olympea. Earlier only Coco Mademoiselle, maybe Miss Dior Cherie. Maybe Si. Maybe La Vie Est Belle. Surely J'Adore. Back to Black. Halloween. Afterwards Q Le Parfum. This is so beautiful I need a back up just in case. I feel so good in this. But it is rather an evening scent. Can be worn during a day but it speaks of free time and dates to me. Cannot recommend it enough.

To my husband it seems chocolate-like. And indeed, the base-notes dominate - vanilla, chocolate patchouli, maybe a hint of coffee but I, too, think it is closer to chocolate than coffee. The floral notes of the heart only deepen it, they are not perceivable separately. Jasmine, orange blossom, tea. It smells like an infusion similar to Jimmy Choo Illicit. There is a hint of cherry, too. It differs from the classic - it is more invigorating and sensual. It leaves a trail - that lingers after I have left the room but it is far from tiring. I feel great in it. It is very beautiful and in my opinion better than the pillar. It lasts and lasts, after many hours it starts to remind me of Flowerbomb. Today we have -2°C and the scent loves this weather. Projects nicely whole day. I also feel a subtle echo of it the next day.

extremely pleasant, though a noticeable variant between different skins than most perfumes i have tested. a tad warmer, more potent coffee smell on a tester stick than on my skin, personally, where the tea and orange elements really seem to shine out. decent hang, and lingers on clothes very, very well. reminiscent of what a child may describe as an adult's perfume, in a positive way. a very precious grandchild of yves saint laurent's original opium fragrance. my great grandmother was a very early purchaser of the original in the 70s, fresh off a cushy divorce. she had the original bottle, tassles and all, and wore nothing else. for me to discover this new child in the opium lineage and for it to befit me so well has been comforting me and keeping me confident for days now. another delicious victory for ysl.

This fragrance encapsulates the perfect date night perfume. Whether you're being taken out by someone else or dating yourself, this is a phenomenal scent. It's sensual, feminine, sophisticated and a sweet gourmand without being cloying, juvenile or distasteful. Although I can only detect the cherry at first spray, I find that to be advantageous as the drydown is a perfect marriage of vanilla and espresso notes that carry a whisper of chocolate. I wear this fragrance on dates and special occasions, and I consider it a classy and flirtatious accessory to elevate my outfits. Almost like confidence in a bottle (except you don't drink this one.) One of my absolute favourites and a staple in my perfume lineup. If you're an avid gourmand fragrance collector, I highly recommend adding this to your collection.

Tested a couple of times at a reputable cosmetics (chain)store.... Kept on sniffing from the blotter, skin and jacket sleeve for days and ... Why does it have to be so (expletitive) Nice?! Nice as in not groundbreaking or mindblowing, but just so Nice that you could have your own little cherrylatte with chocolate chip cream on top wafting around you in the darkest most cold January and make you smile. Nice to give enough of a scent bubble but not to announce your arrival from another room. Nice to keep it sweet but a little sour. This is the Maraschino cherry Christmas/Valentine's Day treat for grown-ups. I bet this will be a best seller when we're getting closer to February 14th. For the goths and the diehards there's always Tom Ford, but for the soft at hearts this is just Lovely.

I don't know what YSL puts in these Black Opium flankers, but I need it injected into my veins. Opens with a wonderful sweet (but not cloying or overly sweet!) cherry, not exactly fresh fruit though, more candy like. Me and my mum decided it's sort of like a lovely cherry sorbet :) In the dry down cherry takes the backseat for an absolutely stunning vanilla, just pure extract with none of the bitterness. I don't get much of the coffee from it, especially compared to the other Black Opium scents, but maybe it was somewhere in that inbetween of fresh apply and dried down that I didn't exactly monitor too closely haha :) It's absolutely lovely, 100% recommend.

This might be the best thing I've ever smelled. It's STUNNING. Warm, sweet, sophisticated but fruity and voluptuous, there's body here behind the scent, like a delicious chocolate mousse or a dark-chocolate-covered strawberry. It's a night-time fragrance but I love it for during the day as well, because the vanilla that comes through underneath makes it cozy and approachable. It's the perfect scent for being crowded around a firepit in winter, in full formal gala attire, flirting disgracefully with the man you're in love with - dusting ash off his velvet suit jacket and leaning into fix his bowtie that's gone askew. Ask me how I know.

I love this; it's very much like Le Parfum, which is a creamier vanilla base with a touch of coffee, vs the original, and then a smoother, more sultry cherry. Very grown up, like cherry jam, I guess? What I will say is that I bought it hoping to bring a femme fatale edge to my fragrance collection... And my husband complimented me, saying that I smell nice, but when I asked what I smelled like he said... candy floss. I don't mind smelling like candy floss, and I love the way it smells, but just note that this fragrance gives zero femme fatale vibes on some. Longevity is ok; I just respray because I love the scent.

Аромат очень приятный и, как по мне, далекий от Black Opium. Насыщенная вишня уходящая в пудровость, легкий кофе с ванильным сиропом - остальных нот я не слышу. Вишневая нота абсолютно не отдает компотом или химозой, для некоторых может ощущаться чуть алкогольной. Аромат близкий к коже, не шлейфовый, с ним сложно переборщить. Очень универсальный под многие события из жизни, нравится мужчинам (если кому важно). Если вам нравятся парфюмы ysl, вам точно понравится и он, не смотря на интимность. Если хочется похожего аромата, но более шлейфового, лучше обратить внимание на BDK Rouge Smoking

I’ve had this perfume for a year and it always gets lots of compliments. When I first spray, I get dark cherry and vanilla. As it dries down, the coffee and patchouli warms up and cuts some of the sweetness. I never lose the cherry on my skin, but my friend does, so if you are looking for cherry, try before you buy. I also don’t catch any medicinal notes. I do find this perfume quite strong, so I am careful when I choose to use it (e.g., I wouldn’t spray before going on a plane). Overall I find this a lovely gourmand that has enough depth that it’s not cloying or a sticky kind of sweet.

whilst a lot of pretentious designer-lovers tend to talk down on this fragrance, it remains to me one of the only feminine designer scents i actually really like, the notes and blending seem to be done with care, and it seems to my nose to be a more out of the "designer box" scent in comparison to the array of opium fragrances. it is an immense improvement from all the others and as a male, id certainly wear this (perfume has no gender anyways). whilst I've moved on almost exclusively to niche scents, this cherry coffee and blossom mixture has captured my heart for some reason.

Im late to the game. My first opium black was black opium le parfume. Love the scent! Its sweet, its Vanilla and coffee. Its deep and its dark. Love it! And its so potent and the longivity is there. Next I tried was black opium over red. I was in the store and testet the perfume. Sniffed my arm all day long. It smells like cherry Vanilla. The Tea note makes it fresh. I could have this day time and all the time, So I bought it. They are so good. The both bring different nuances to the scent, love them both! But over red is now my signatur scent.

I’ve pulled this one out of my stash to wear again over winter and I have forgotten how much I enjoy wearing this fragrance. I am a sucker for a cherry perfume but I think this is the one that kick started my love for the note. I also receive compliments when wearing this. I work in a very large building and someone following me up the stairs commented on the scent trail I left. This surprised me as I’d sprayed it a couple of hours before and I could no longer smell it on myself so that was a bonus. This is my favourite from the opium line.

I hate fruity notes. I hate vanilla in perfume. I am 100% an incense and musk girl... and yet... This is what Lost Cherry by TF thinks it is. A sexy yet incredibly feminine fragrance. Definitely will layer well with something simpler and darker. I bought this because I always sort of liked the regular Black Opium, but decided for something less honeyed and sexier. Optimum choice. A great all year perfume, depending on if you want to layer it or no. Sillage and longevity kinda suck but it’s forgivable for a perfume of this price

My all time favourite! I first went to test it multiple times and every time I was surprised by the smell. Since I got the 90ml it has been my every-occasion perfume. On my skin i can barely sense the cherry and I can smell the fragrance through most of the day - it lasts super long on clothes. After a day or so, whats left of the perfume is just the coffee and vanilla with some barely-there brighter notes. To me this perfume has become almost like a warm and calming safety net. I hope they never reformulate this beauty!!

This is a beautiful fragrance for women. I would describe it as mysterious and very well blended. In my opinion, it is clearly feminine. Some women’s fragrances can also work on men, but this is not one of them. The coffee note really completes the scent. It adds a dark, mysterious, and slightly bitter edge that makes the fragrance feel unique. It is expensive, but aside from the price, this is easily one of my favorite fragrances for women. I would say it leans a bit mature, but younger women can wear it just as easily.

this was one of those perfumes i tested in the store once and ended up with a full bottle a few days later. after trying dozens and dozens of cherry forward fragrances, this is still the only REALLY cherry forward perfume that doesn't smell medicinal or give me a headache. this smells like black opium le parfum with an added cherry note and the cherry note lasts and lasts. super sweet vanilla balanced by a tart cherry, a hint of coffee, and the tiniest bit of patchouli. its absolutely fantastic in the cold weather.

This one is intoxicating! Picture yourself feeling confident sipping cherry Cola at a bar on a summer evening, waiting for your date to show up. I love how fun and feminine it starts and how darker it gets after a few hours. It’s one of the first perfumes that got me to think “wow I want this scent” when I got into this hobby and I ended up buying it without trying it on my skin... it’s less elegant and deep on my than on paper, but I still like it a lot. Also I must be lucky because the cherry lasts longer on me!

i adoreeeee this one. it's a full-bodied scent, with a yummy initial cherry with coffee, tea, and patchouli. really addictive! i usually don't like patchouli, but this one gives it a sort of powerful weight. it lasts on my scarf (hello winter) as a sweet vanilla, albeit nothing else. i usually spray it twice in the morning, then once or twice in the evening. i haven't tried this one in the summer, but I've been wearing it in both the day and night in winter. i agree though- the cherry does not last long.

I LOVE it so much! Can't wait till I can use it again in the fall and winter. It's too cloying for me personally in this warm weather, I don't find myself reaching for it at the moment sadly. But it's so incredibly good! It's boozy, cherry, vanilla. It's somewhat like the OG but it's also pretty different at the same time? To me, it stands on it's own. First expensive buy in quite a while, and I'm happy with it. I wouldn't blind buy this though. I bought it after I fell in love with the sample.

Rupaul's Viva Glam photoshoot. Those red latex boots clicking against the dark floors of a NYC night club. Vulgar but magnetic, with an air of sophistication and dignity. Vodka cranberry and pounding bass. Lipstick on a cigarette, smoke carried by the wind chill outside. No need to be quiet when this is loudly confident. The coffee in Black Opium and all its' flankers reads super synthetic to my nose. It's the reason I'm not a huge fan of the original. In Over Red, though, it really adds to it.

This smells sexy, date night, warm. When I smell this on myself I think fall, dark academia, sultry sweet, dark feminine energy. Its not super feminine where you'll think flowers and sweet girly. Thank god no. I was looking for a cherry smell thats not super bright CHERRY. I wanted a deeper richer cherry that smells like fall and was mysterious. I have Q and love Q intense by Dolce and Gabbana and both are good, but it wasn't warm and fall enough. This, was spot on for what I want.

If I had to compare Over Red to anything in its use of vanilla scents, it would be Hypnotic Poison. While Over Red is meant to carry a cherry scent, for me, it is jut simply not there and wholly replaced by a darker scent of vanilla. Hypnotic Poison is light and soft vanilla, while Over Red is heavy and darker, definitively carrying those cherry and coffee undertones, but honestly, I was expecting the vanilla to be much softer than it actually turned out to be in my experience.

Sweet dark cherry + yummy gourmand vanilla. And this isn’t that medicinal cherry note; this is a genuine cherry - not photorealistic, but close. Drydown brings a sip of warm coffee w/ sugar & a touch of vanilla flavored creamer alongside freshly plucked petals of jasmine & a single orange blossom petal floating atop a tiny tasse of tea. This scent is warm, complex, luscious, ever so slightly gothic. If Wuthering Heights were a scent, this would be it.

LOVE!!! 🍒 Yes, she's cherry, vanilla, and delicious, but not overly sweet. The original DNA is toned down reminiscent of the 'Le Parfum' version though a touch less vanillic. This is looking to be my favorite flanker but it's relatively new in my collection, and I've just received my bottle of 'Illicit Green', so only time will tell. I have no further insight or nuance to contribute as this has already been so artfully described by other reviewers :)

absolutely gorgeous all around, the cherry, vanilla, and coffee are appropriately proportioned to one another and mix well, the hint of orange blossom just adds to it perfectly. does cherry without syrupy or too candied. dries down with less cherry than i'd like, but still there, just less pronounced compared to the coffee and vanilla, which are sweet but not sickly or particularly gourmand. my current everyday, and favourite cherry

I have a few cherry fragrances, and honestly they haven’t really been my style. However, I purchased Opera Rouge, the Maison Alhambra version, and absolutely fell deep in love 🥰!! So of course, I had to get the original! It is just as gorgeous! It’s so sexy. I love the original Black opium so it just makes sense that the only cherry scent I adore is this one! It isn’t medicinal at all on me. It’s warm and deep and delicious!

The DNA of Black Opium is clearly noticeable, but the Over Red version is more velvety and broken by a wonderful cherry. For me, the best Black Opium. Sweet and sexy. The drydown is equally wonderful; nothing "spoils" here, nothing is harsh. The cherry disappears in favor of a coffee shop with vanilla and chocolate desserts. I have the 90 ml bottle; it's wonderful. Longevity is good, and projection is arms' length.

this is unlike my other perfumes but it smells so so good. i really love the smell of this parfume. i dont layer it with anything (a vanilla bodylotion sure but no parfumes) because i love it on its own, but also wouldnt know what to layer it with. i havent tried any of the other opium parfumes so. but it smells nice and sweet, vanilla, with some cherry. not the medicinal cherry type.

And I thought the original Black Opium was the pinnacle of feminine fragrances... but this? This is on another level. It’s unbelievably addictive, the kind of scent that lingers in your mind long after you’ve left the room. If you’re even thinking about buying it, don’t hesitate. It’s 10000% worth it, its effortlessly captivating. If I were a girl I’d be wearing this all year

I love it. I tried it on the skin twice, the first time the cherry note wasn’t as strong as I thought. Smelled like the patchouli/coffee note was over powering it. But the SECOND TIME, that cherry note stayed the whole 7 hours. I was surprised the other flankers don’t really last long on me but this ?? Was DIFFERENT. Most definitely getting this perfume when it comes out

If I ever smelled this on a girl I wouldn’t act straight, wish more girls knew about this perfume, succulent and strong, it might be too sweet or synthetic for some and I do admit it is, but something about this fragrance pulls me in, hypnotic, beautifully blended, the strong sweet synthetic cherry is gorgeous. Only wear on special nights or something. 8.5/10

Absolutely sexy, lush, head-turning scent that you can pick out from a thousand generic-sounding cherries. Smell it once and remember it forever. Dare I say, much better than the original Black Opium. Office siren vibe, perfect for late night dates and modern lifestyle. Perfectly sweet while balanced with the coffee and vanilla combo.

This is a beautifully balanced fragrance--I only wish the cherry note (which was fabulous) lasted longer. Of all the newer fragrances at Ulta this holiday season, this is the only one I thought was really "special" (and sexy af). My husband swooned over it. The red-black bottle is lovely, too. This one is going on my Christmas list.

A brilliantly done cherry! Opening smells like cherry gummies but then it transforms into a sexy feminine vanilla cherry blend! Tested it out and can't wait to get the full size! Edit: Got the full bottle and omg the scent lasts a very long time, you have to literally scrub it off, and the sillage is amazing too. Highly recommend!

Dare i say the best flanker of this line ? I loved this so much and always have a bottle of it. It smells like a powering, sexy, and sweet person. The perfect confidence boost in my opinion. And you can smell every single note of it, the cherry, the coffee, the vanilla... It's so well balanced, not heady at all. I love this

You can definitely recognize the unmistakable DNA of "Black Opium." Combination of cherry, vanilla, and coffee here is stunning and is a sure crowd-pleaser. While overall longevity is decent, it's disappointing that the cherry note (meant to make this flanker stand out) fades into vanilla SO quickly just after application.

I usually tend to dodge citrus in scents, but I tried this anyway and immediately fell in love. It becomes a seductive, dark cherry-alcoholic scent without being sharp or headache-inducing. The vanilla adds extra sweetness and balances out the bitter of the coffee really well. i gotta drink this

I don't have this but I smelled it in the store once. I was immediately hit with the smell of cherry koolaid or jolly ranchers. I absolutely love the smell of cherry in this, it's so so so strong! I would def buy this someday. I'd imagine people wearing this out to a party or a date

Imagine Black Opium mixed with cherry syrup. That’s exactly what this smells like. One of my favorite cherry fragrances. It starts off lighter, then dries down into something deep and rich that keeps getting better. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it too. Definitely worth trying.

It has to be the sexiest perfume I have ever smelled in my life. It is obviously sweet, just like the other Black Opium perfumes, but 10x times better for sure. The cherry blends well with vanilla and coffee, creating a very mysterious and sexy aura. Also lasts all day on my skin.
