Black Opium Pink Glaze

YSL did it: they did a flanker of Black Opium that is wearable in heat and summer. It reminds me of BO Over Red (which I love) but with raspberry instead of cherry, which makes it much more summer-friendly. The sexy Black Opium DNA is there and continues to be super sophisticated and elegant, but it's now a light fruity freshness to it that makes it appropriate for warmer weather (although I'd still restrict it to nighttime or going out instances). I find it to be way more raspberry forward than strawberry tbh. Sadly, it doesn't last as long as the OG or as Over Red - it's definitely a great investment if you find a deal on it though, especially if you already like the Over Red flanker.

Hello my friends 💜 . The pink glaze reminds me of the 2014 Black Opium but much more fresher at the start because of the strawberry note and the mandarin that after a few seconds give their place to the OG vibe. As a perfume it is much more rounded if this makes sense as it seems like a combination of the OG with the Black Opium perfume sweetness of vanilla in the drydown. Much more longevity and projection from the OG.I prefer it from the OG .

On my opinion its super sweet but not sickeningly, also quite cozy scent as for me. I think it'll be nice for colder seasons. In general I REALLY love it

A lovely fruity version of the original scent.

very similar to b.o. over red but instead of a sharp candy-like sexy cherry scent, you get more of a fresh, slightly tart (in a good way) strawberry in the opening. as time passes it fades into the same dna of all black opiums except its slightly lighter and fresher. weirdly it smells almost gourmand but in a way where its not overwhelming and wearable for summer. it kinda smells like sugar paste in the opening and then it fades into the same scent as over red. i own ALL black opiums and i think this one is the only one that would be okay to wear in daytime and summertime. as someone who’s signature scent is over red, if you like over red but can’t wear it in summertime or daytime you should give this one a try. ysl really did a good job on this one

This is very nice. It smells like Alien Pulp but fresher/juicier in the opening and less candied in the drydown. I don't really like any of the other Black Opiums but I do like this one. I don't think you need both this and Alien Pulp and as I already own AP I probably won't get this (unless I find an incredible deal on a travel size). A really pretty, long lasting perfume.

What a surprise on the shelf. And in an updated bottle that is lovely. I had no idea about this release. The scent however is amber woody in raspberry sauce. Not my type at all. It can compete with Libre Berry Crush cause they share the pink sauce and with Donna Born in Roma Intense which is also amber woody in vanilla sauce for a change. The overall impression is similar also to Dior Rosy and Purple Glow but with added amber woods. The new Light Blue edp is also amberwoody after an hour or two. The cursed amber woods are awfully masculine! They bother me in feminine release! I will have to skip it.

I don't know, but I'm pretty sick and tired of vanilla base at the moment and for me the notes dont feel very well blended. Which was a shame since i love og black opium and black opium over red (which is my absolute fave).

"Pink glaze"? More like "Generic pink glaze"... I haven't come across a more boring fragrance lately. PG? A generic pink scent where the strawberry doesn't smell like strawberry,it could be any synthetic little fruit. It bears no clear resemblance to anything on the "similar scents" list. There’s no coffee, no patchouli, the florals must be buried in that pink mishmush, because you can't distinguish them. But what does it have, something not even listed? A mountain of amberwood in the drydown that’s as toxic as a chemical weapon and irritates your nostrils terribly. I don't know how YSL could release something like this. I don't know who the perfumer is, but let them keep it!

As a fan of the OG, I simply hate this new release: all I feel on my skin is kind of roasted coconut with some soluble coffee on top, very far from the OG DNA. Too bad it lasts a long time, even in the summer heat. 3/10, out of which 0 for the scent and 3 for the bottle (it doesn't look bad, but it won't make me love the perfume for sure).

Black opium with strawberry sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try!
