Blouse

First things first, this is an exquisite rose. It's really fresh, realistic, very elegant. It's not your typical "rose water" scent, which a lot of lighter rose fragrances are. It smells chic and upscale. Great longevity and projection as well. I'm definitely getting myself a full bottle. Comparison to Roses de Chloe: Whoever compared these two, have you smelled them both simultaneously? I have today. I read those reviews and went again to the largest department store in my city, hoping that Chloe would end up being a cheaper Blouse. Haha, nice try. RDC is pretty, but absolutely nothing special. Plus, it of course has the Chloe DNA, which has been there since 2008 and has been smelt on so many people. Blouse on the contrary has this crisp freshness to it, it smells like a freshly cut rose, it's much more realistic and exciting. Comparison to Delina: To me, these two are similar in that they are both created by Quentin Bisch, and both are bright, uplifting, musky roses. Besides that, they are rather different. - Delina is fruity and flirty. It's a really pretty girly/feminine scent, ideal for dates and casual wear. It is undeniably a good mood fragrance. - Blouse is greener and a bit more sophisticated. The angelica in it reminds me of angelica in Guerlain Angelique Noire. Blouse is more elegant and serious. I'd say it's better for office wear. I do like Delina, but I personally prefer Blouse (update: I have a bottle now).

This, to me, feels like YSL's floral counterpart to Tuxedo within the Les Vestiaires des Parfums collection. Blouse opens up with an elegant, vegetal rose with equal parts shades of green contributed by angelica and galbanum, as well as a rosy piquancy due to pink pepper. At this stage, the balance of earthy herbaceousness and light floralcy reminds me of tea, which I think is the best part of the fragrance - and its texture does remind me of the translucent lightness of the silk fabric of a blouse. As the scent continues to dry down, it gets darker and sweeter, developing a creamy sweetness textured with a hint of cashmeran on top of the greener notes, which by now starts gaining a slight dankness - to my nose, this smells like a vanilla patchouli, albeit one that emphasises more of the leafy aspects of the latter, rather than the soil-like dampness. The drydown isn't particularly remarkable because of the popularity of this scent DNA amongst many releases, but it's definitely pleasing as the balance of sweetness and earthiness is just right. It has medium projection for first 1-2 hours & average longevity on my skin, and I think it's suitable for all seasons.

As someone who doesn't really like Delina and thinks it is overhyped, I was floored by how much this smelled like Delina but also by how much I love this. I cant really explain why. Most of the scents in this YSL collection are 8-10/10. This also reminds me quite a bit of Chloe. Some notes swap out, like Angelica for Lychee, but they are pretty much the same vibe. The Lychee in Chloe give it this fresh juice and fruit element that just feels younger. Blouse is more mature and buttoned up than Chloe and also Delina, which seems safer and looser than this. I think I prefer Blouse, even after having worn Chloe for years. I finished my last bottle of Chloe a couple years ago. I'm not sure sure Id buy another bottle of Chloe once I have this one, albeit the price difference. On the other hand, if you like this and want something more affordable, Chloe may do it for you.

This is my first experience with the Collections Le Vestiaire des Parfums from YSL. I am not disappointed! This is a beautifully blended floral, with each of the notes complimenting each other. No one note overpowers the others. I get the delicate note of fresh rose right away but then it intertwines with the pepper and the freshness of bergamot. I can detect that cozy note of musk that helps round out the scent. The scent is slightly reminiscent of Chloe Roses de Chloe but Blouse is much more complex. Longevity is surprisingly good. Usually gentle florals fade quickly and don't stay that long on this skin. This really is such a feminine fragrance and I really want to get a full bottle. The price is a bit steep of $250 but you are getting a huge 4.2 oz size bottle. I highly recommend this perfume.

A smoother, more refined and fresh photo-realistic rose than Delina, which is jammier, louder and sharp to my nose (I own both). Blouse is Delina's sophisticated and charming sister, with an unexpected hint of mischief (likely from the angelique and pink pepper). The sillage is decent and the drydown is a floaty and plush green cashmere. Incredibly well-blended and brings to mind a well-dressed, elegant young woman in cream silk, golden jewellery and a cashmere sweater draped delicately around her shoulders. Understated and classy but head-turning and memorable. Perfect for when you want to feel put together and safe enough for the office. A real compliment-getter and an instant love for me!

This is truly my signature scent. I loved everything about Blouse - from the opening comes a beautiful and delicate rose scent that feels luxurious, it’s musky yet not overpowering. Unsure why it rates high on being powdery as I can’t detect this at all and I don’t take to powdery notes to well. Absolutely beautiful and makes me smile every time I caught a whiff from my own fragrance, this complements me so well. I just wished it lasted longer, it projects rather beautifully in the first 3-hour mark and then steadily declines between 3-6 hours. A touch-up would be needed at around noon if you wear this out in the morning.

a stunning rose fit for all temperatures and seasons ..this rose is so clean sparkly almost tangy its crisp mesmerising and totally wearable and uplifting its like walking through a rose garden with both pink and red roses..it s elegant and inviting and romantic an amazing layering perfume as well ..al this love is coming from someone who doesn't take roses easily but this is truly different in a beautiful elegant ethereal yet simple way ..i will update this review after wearing for longer periods but my first impressions are absolutely positive ..i loved it instantly .

Definitely a better option than Delina Exclusif. Trust me. I smell the resemblance, but I’ll pick Blouse over Delina Exclusif. That being said I’m on my second bottle of both Delina Exclusif and Blouse. The longevity of Blouse ysl is insane. And tbh I smell it on my clothes for over 24 hours. On my skin it’s a strong 8hrs +. I love this.

Very similar to Delina by Parfums de marly, but way more rose and that pink pepper and Angelica is there too, I love this one more than Delina, it’s more intense as well. Love it. It’s not sweet as Delina, more rose than Delina. I’m loving it more and more, I will get a bottle of it soon.

I love this fragrance for going out or special events. It's a total crowd pleaser and it lasts forever and projects like crazy. If you like a very feminine floral with a little bit of woody & spice to it then I think it's a good one to have in your collection.

The opening strongly recalls Creed’s Wild Vetiver, and it’s gorgeous. The bitter dry-down—thanks to the angelica—adds real attitude, giving the fragrance a unisex quality that makes it more wearable for men. Still, it definitely leans feminine.

At first impression close to Guerlain, Acqua allegoria forte, Rose Palisandro. But Blouse is more gentle (but not weaker), more sophisticated, more dreamy. Bergamot and rose have perfect relationship. Beautiful twist. I love it ❤️

Put this on right after your shower and skincare. On clean crisp skin, it lasts for hours and hours. My signature scent and I will love this for many more years to come. It’s a scent I would repurchase over and over again.

Refined musky light floral that is not too sweet nor powdery 🩷 this is more of a musky scent than a floral scent which I like, good performance despite not being loud. Suitable for dailywear & definitely unisex.

This is a very pretty, realistic and petaly floral musky scent. Not heavy or cloying at all! To me this is a very feminine fragrance and not at all unisex! A safe blind buy if u like realistic floral scents.

Discreet femininity captured. Light fresh rose, slightly green. A delicate handling but not an invisible rose. Beautifully blended but not sure the price is justified. Lovely bedtime scent.

This is one of the best Rose 🌹 perfumes, as soon as I opened the package the smell hits me. It smells exactly like Delina but better and stronger.

This is a good rose scent. Very uplifting. People say a man or a women can wear it but I disagree. This is strictly for women.

Crisp and elegant. Layers well. A bit powdery but not overwhelming.

Blouse is my only experience with YSL's higher end offerings. I am a big fan of many of the desinger fragrances and have been curious about their private lines. I was able to get a large sample of Blouse to try and I have really enjoyed it. This fragrance is very youthful, feminine and elegant. It just smells happy to me. it is a tart, slightly sweet rose with fresh bitter green backround. There is a nice balance between sweet, tart and bitter, the quality of the fragrance is apparent in that balance. I find this a rose centric fragrance with the rose being fresh, young and pink. It stays thay way throughout the wear. The bergamot brings a lot of tart brightness that stays present for quite a bit of the wear. I love the balance of the bitter green galbanum (a green note I have come to realize I love). It tames the tartness and sweetness of the other notes. The pink pepper is very light on me. I only noticed it once I knew it was a note and looked for it. For me this is a warm weather daytime fragrance. I love a fresh, young rose in spring, which is the prime time for me to want to wear this. It smells happy, and sunny and hopeful. Much like the season around me. If you need to bring a little brightness into a dreary winter day, Blouse is strong enough to stand up to cooler weather as well. So is great scent when you want something bright and fresh in the cooler weather. The performance is great. It last all day, easily 8-10 hours. On clothes...even longer. The projection is quite strong, especially for the first couple hours. I would caution against overspraying. I made that mistake one time I wore it. I ended up with a headache and I found it overwhelming and difficult to enjoy. A more restrained application (3-5 sprays) still provided plenty of projection, a little beyond arms reach, without becoming "too much". I have seen the comparisons to Delina and do agree there is a lot of overlap between the two. I find Blouse smoother and less tart than Delina, with a very similar rose. I also see a little similarity to Florabotanica, more in composition than actual smell. Both are green, rose fragrances. Blouse is more bright rose with the bitter greens farther in the back groung while Florabotanica is more green with a watery, fresh rose that is more equally balanced. Roses de Chloe has a similar youthful rose and bright citrus opening but lacks the bitter green background. Since I only have a decant and I'm not sure this is a fragrance I would purchase. It is priced similarly to most designer private lines. It is beautiful and smells and performs like a high quality fragrance should. My issue is I have so many rose fragrances that were far less expensive that give me a similar experience. Blouse doesn't offer me anything different enough to justify the price. I feel the same way about Delina, though Delina Exclusif I did find special enough to purchase a FB. I will enjoy using my decant of Blouse, but don't see a full bottle in my future. Blouse could be great for someone who has a smaller collection and likes to splurge on the luxury version of things.

I have been pretty impressed with YSL's Vestiare line so far, and as a rose lover, I have wanted to try Blouse for a long time. Blouse is a musky rose scent - nothing groundbreaking, but beautifully executed. It is aptly-named - lightweight and breezy yet an everyday wardrobe stalwart. Quentin Bisch is known for his bold creations that make innovative use of new materials, but the use of cashmeran here is not to my taste. Otherwise, it is decent, reminiscent of Delina Exclusif, another of M. Bisch's creations. Blouse opens with rosy, nose-tickling pink pepper, a predictable-but-perfect prelude to the rose that forms the crux of this scent. The rose follows closely, swaddled in clean, soft white musk, reminiscent of Narciso Rodriguez for Her. The rose here is delicate yet long-lasting, unfurling into a photorealistic bloom as it develops. It is featherlight and dewy, never very jammy or powdery. There is a slightly green undertone that serves to complement it nicely, a nod to the stem. It becomes increasingly musky as it dries down with cashmeran coming to the fore during the final stages. This is a let-down for me, as I'm not a fan of cashmeran. It fades to a musky cashmeran-rose scent. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting - impressive for a light rose scent. It is a feminine spring/summer daytime scent in my opinion. The musk keeps it from being a rosewater/rose garden scent - on the contrary, Blouse feels warm, full-bodied and with a hint of skin, rather than a one-dimensional fresh rose soliflore that can be done well on a tight budget. A high-quality everyday rose, this is bright and breezy yet lush, nicely musky and well-blended throughout. The cashmeran takes from it in my opinion however, particularly at this price point. 3/5.

Summer breeze with a hint of rose YSL tried to bring the lightness and freshness of a blouse into a bottle - and in my opinion, they succeded. Just as the previous comment points out, you will notice that Blouse is a very light rose fragrance with hints of Bergamot and Angelica. Yes, Blouse is a very light fragrance, because Mr. Bisch tried to bring the freshness of linen (through Bergamot) and the unique femininity of the blouse (through the rose) into a bottle. A daring experiment, which succeded. It is a very light rose fragrance (as it was meant to be a juxtaposition to the blouse), like a refreshing summer breeze on a hot day. The previous comment compared it to a '' departmemt store rose'' and to a lighter version of Roses de Chloe - a perfect deacription. And this is why it doesn't justify the horrendous price tag.

The pink pepper note is extremely strong and lingers on, so this is not a safe blind buy if you don’t like peppery notes. The opening is very similar to Zara’s Rhubarb perfume by Jo Malone, which is now discontinued. This is nothing like Delina. Delina is a creamy fruity floral and 100% feminine, whereas Blouse is crisp (from the pink pepper), making it more unisex. Blouse is more hot/humid weather-appropriate as well. I can envision a man or a woman in a crisp white shirt (not a blouse) in a pair of jeans finishing the look with Blouse. This smells more like something in the Jo Loves Collection, so it’s not really worth the price tag.

This is a very pleasant clean, musky rose, with a bit of tart citrus. Rose is the dominant note and it's slightly watery and green (I'm guessing from the galbanum). It feels like there are some aldehydes in this (not listed), while the bergamot adds a tartness. I also get something slightly spicy in the background early on. I don't get the comparison to Delina (a fragrance I'm not a fan of), other than that this and Delina both have rose as the dominant player. This is great for hot, humid weather as it really cuts through the heat and lasts all day. Nothing revolutionary or unique, but very well-done!

A green rose dressed in weightless silk, but with a bite. The opening is bright and peppery, the kind of spice that tingles at the back of your nose, sharpening the soft petals and giving them an unexpected edge. It’s airy yet vibrant, like fresh roses still attached to the stem crushed between clean white fabric, the musk underneath barely visible but adding a sensual, skin-like warmth. Never too powdery, never too sweet or even too floral. Feminine but not delicate, refined but with just enough heat to keep things interesting.

This fragrance is perfect for Taiwan's spring and summer. The rose scent is refreshing and soft, with an understated yet sophisticated character, much like the temperament of Taiwanese women. It evokes the image of a girl strolling along a street with a book in hand on an afternoon. The entire fragrance is dominated by rose, with other ingredients adding layers of complexity. Those who love roses will likely enjoy it.

Am I the only one who thinks Blouse is the softer Florabotanica by Balenciaga? Nice, clean and green rose with moderate sillage and lasting power. Fresh cut, herbal roses with stems and leaves and spicy pollens. Realistic. Not sweet as many contemporary rose perfumes in the market, and has some bitterness probably due to angelica. Clean musk on background. All year round daily elegance.

What a beautifully delighting scent. Quentin Bisch knocked it out of the park. Light, moderately sweet, perfect amount of musk and cashmeran. I never knew I would like Angelica note so much. It makes it slightly green, as if i just smelled a Christmas 🎄 tree upclose and personal. What a delight. Perfect for any time of the year and time. -Keep

A pink chiffon blouse steam-cleaned with musky and lightly spicy rose water. It's too green to compare to Delina, which is much sweeter and much more jammy to my nose. Best in warm weather, this is a perfect office scent or just a quick grab for the daytime. Arms length sillage, lasted around 5 hrs on my skin.

A subtle musky rose - the classier older sister of Jumpsuit. I don't get any angelica, it's mainly rose, musk and cashmere. It's simple, soft, feminine, easy to wear. It's nothing like Delina, as Delina is A LOT sweeter and fruitier (with that lychee). It's not to be compared with Chloe either.

Extremely well balanced citrus rose green slightly fresh spicy scent . Very fresh feminine and bright . It’s like a fresh cutted rose after a spring rain when the sun Is back and while the grass is still wet :)

Ok this is nice, very wearable not as bold as some rose fragrances and the dry down does remind me of Spikey muse. I would wear this if someone gave it me but there are much better options out there

I suddenly felt the urge to really get to know Blouse by YSL. A year ago, I tested it briefly in a store, but at that moment I was wearing so many fragrances that I couldn’t properly understand it. I only remember liking how it smelled on a blotter. I ordered two original samples. When I opened the package, I realized that one of them had already leaked. And yes, the sample has a strange design - I’d never encountered anything like it before: something like a salt shaker instead of a spray. A small glass vial with a perforated cap through which the perfume drips. I applied it outdoors (about 17°C with a light breeze). It was wonderful. Such a fresh, juicy little rose with dew and pink pepper (I immediately thought of Elle by Yves Saint Laurent, only Blouse is lighter, airier, and more delicate at the start). The fragrance began to shimmer and reveal a pleasant bitterness of wormwood. And in the wind, Blouse sparkles- peony, rose, wormwood- all in harmony. As soon as I stepped indoors, the scent immediately hid, noticeable only if I pressed my wrist to my nose. After 15 minutes, all the roses disappeared and cashmeran with musk came forward. And this part I don’t like. The base is so strict - almost harsh, even bitchy, and rough (it actually makes my throat tickle). I want to wash it off and reapply the fragrance just to feel those initial roses again. It’s a good thing these were just samples and not a full bottle, because this Blouse is not mine.

I totally see the comparison between Delina Exclusif and Blouse but since I can’t stand Delina being super artificially-sweet, I appreciate the more realistic rose in this one. Blouse smells like the whole rose flower but either the Galbanum or the Angelica gives a very bitter-sour dry down which doesn’t sit well with me. I thought a musky, cashmeran rose will be my thing but it turns out straight up rose scents are not something I want to smell for a long time. Btw with bergamot in the list I expected more freshness but it is hardly detectable. Also the scent is not very long lasting on skin and soon is hard to detect.

Lovely fresh and crisp (that recalls a freshly ironed shirt kind of crisp) opening that is lightly sweet and not at all sour which tempers to an unusual woody note. I’m not sure that woody note is one I like, it’s a bit buzzy and unsettling. Tried this on various wears so I’ll wait till spring and see if warmth or giving my nose time, improves things. So far it’s an ok. Will edit later in 2024. 2025: Moved to a distinct “no” the opening is a delight the mid and dry down are full of car tyres and a chokey exhaust fume dry down.

How many versions of Delina-likes are there out there now? Honestly, this is just kind of outrageous... Blouse is just yet another version of Delina but with subtle differences. If you have Delina, or Very Good Girl (Carolina Herrera), or Angel Nova (Mugler), then you have basically smelled Blouse. But if you stop and wonder WHO the nose behind EACH of the perfumes I have mentioned above belongs to, the answer is: Quentin Bisch! So yeah...I love Delina and Very Good Girl so I don’t really need Blouse, do I?...ugh...🙄

Opening is strong pink rose with a hint of faint elderflower. Settles to a skin scent with a soft rose, will not buy a full bottle after finishing the sample. Weak projection, but lasts easily 7-8 hours on clothes. Heavily feminine, the rose accord is exactly like Passion Rose by Lorenzo Pazzaglia however softer and more refined alongside other notes. If you want to capture the rose note by itself, Passion Rose is a good alternative

A yellow rose with a touch of chemical smokiness, dragged along by a hint of pink pepper. The dry-down turns into a fairly standard chemical rose, not too different from Jo Malone’s Red Roses dry-down, but if you smell closely, there’s also a faint warm woody note in the base. The texture feels synthetic, but still acceptable.

I tested this today and kept trying to figure out what this reminds me of. Then I saw the comments here objecting to the Delina comparisons & realized that’s exactly what it reminds me of. I have Delina and they are not dupes, but definitely in the same family. Blouse is Delina’s more poised and soft-spoken big sister.

This is a green-ish fresh rose along the lines of Florabotanica, A la Rose (MfK), British Rose (The Body Shop) etc, NOT a sweet-tart fruity rose like Delina or Damask. The comparison is extremely misleading. People are voting Delina because they saw the same perfumer

wore it twice just to be sure. overwhelmingly feminine. I've never been a fan of flower and rose scent to me they all smell the same when it's their main note. it's not a bad scent but it's far from unisex. So I lost interest and gave it to my mom.

I just got this today and I don’t get Delina at all. I love the fruity opening but the dry down smells a bit like crayons on me probably because of the base notes. I’ll keep it and wear it a few more times to see if it will grow on me

I didn't think of Delina when I got this. It's too sharp and screechy on my skin. (I am very sure of the perfume's authenticity, btw) Delina on me is creamy, a little sweet. I can smell the rose and rhubarb and it's beautiful on me. This (blouse) smelled like piss on my clothes after a while. BUT, while it does not match my body chemistry, it matches my sister's and to her it just smelled classy. so unfair. hahaha well, that's how subjective fragrances and scents can be. On her I smell pink pepper and roses. Nice. She was so happy when I handed her the newly opened bottle.

Blouse opens with an uplifting, radiant, green fresh floral effect. Sadly, after this is gone, the base quickly disappoints me with a harsh synthetic smell which reminds me of the dislikeable "marine" note which is way too present in many contemporary fragrances. If only the base would be a more traditional chypre base, the perfume might be so much better, and longer lasting. I would concur with "Osouls" about the bitterness of the drydown.
