La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Parfum (2026)

despite the misleading notes this fragrance caught my attention immediately as it reminded me of the OG La Nuit De Lhomme EDT when i randomly smelled it in the store. The sales guy didn't know its a new release and didn't tell me however i was doubt about it because i remember it does not smell like the previous EDP I'm used to. The other day I went to an official YSLBeauty store the guy there told me its a brand new release that you can differentiate it by the bottle looking light from up and dark from bottom after which I searched on Ytube and realized its a new release 2026. Reviewers will say it have apple note which I could not recognize however i can certainly smell cardamom accord and it definitely reminds me of the OG EDT but sadly this is only in the opening the dry down is an ambery sweet very clean user friendly tobacco. Good Scent with good performance for it being an intimate encounter fragrance. I committed to a full 100ml bottle and definitely recommend it to you guys and don't be influenced by the notes give it a try and see how it develops on your skin

every time I come on here to read about a new fragrance.. that DID NOT RELEASE TO THE PUBLIC YET... there is tons of hate... why are y'all like this? Its annoying. GENT SCENTS AND EAU D' ERICA have reviews up on YOUTUBE if you want a valid opinion.

Could someone who owns the 2026 edition of this perfume please share its barcode number so we can verify it's the new version when purchasing it online or in stores? The two bottles look identical, only the barcode is different.

I don't find it that different from the 2019. There is still that cardamon hint, but in the drydown, is bit smokier and bit sweeter, than 2019. Still, very nice, seductive fragrance.

The opening immediately reminded me of Valentino Coral Fantasy, but in a better way. It is not identical, yet the comparison came to mind as soon as I sprayed it. The fragrance opens with a vibrant apple note that feels juicy, and sweet. As it settles on the skin, it reveals a clean character with a touch of soft spice and a subtle seductiveness . The sweetness remains smooth and well-balanced, never cloying. Gradually, the apple note fades away, though a soft scent of it lingers in the background for the next hour or two. I have not tried any fragrances from the La Nuit de l’Homme line before, but based on the notes alone, I would imagine this is completely different from the 2019 edp. Overall, I think this is a very good fragrance and I genuinely like it. I completely understand why fans of the original are disappointed with the changes. However, for those who have never tried the OG, I would say do not let the negativity influence you. Taken on its own, it is a solid fragrance that deserves a fair chance.

It definitely smells different from the original EDP (2019). I get hints of Pokerface, SB Infrared & Ferragamo Uomo.

This is such a let-down from YSL. La Nuit de L'Homme and L'Homme were lines that always had their issues, but unoriginality and interchangeability were never one of them. When I first sprayed this, I got that typical Sephora DNA. I feel like every Paco Rabanne smells like this. Every SWY has hints of this. These YSL lines were never like this, they always had something of their own. Not anymore. Sad. It's not a bad fragrance, it's just... You've smelled it already. A thousand times. Opening typical sephora DNA. In the drydown indistinguishable from the SWYs. Edit: It also has all the previous problems, too. Doesn't project.

Smh. Listen. We all love the OG EDT & so does the masses that bought that. Its up there with Bleu Electrique. Ok. Thats settled. Partly. I'll get to that at the end of why it's not fully settled I guess they do their own thing , it's YSL, but for the love of God , the same exact name and there won't be any confusion at all with this 2026 release? You got to be kidding me. C'mon man. Seriously. Who is making these decisions in marketing and perfumery, ....Helen Keller? There is NO CARDAMOM in it FOLKS. Call it a different name 🤣. It's known for its beautiful cardamom mastery, so if there's no cardamom in the 2026 version then don't call it La Nuit D'Lhomme. Everybody on these reviews that are Furious have every right to be. This is possibly the most stupidist crap I have ever come across at YSL. Like, factually, not even personally. Which brings me to the point of it's not fully settled with this line of YSL. You give us the original which to this day (even if it lasts 4 hours) it's one of the most beautiful cardamom scents ever made. You don't discontinue that , and rightfully so. You then come out with Bleu Electrique. Its awesome. You discontinue that 🙄. Uttery foolish. You then come out with a parfum version of the original which smells nothing like the original and gets people confused because they think they're getting the original but in a parfum version that would last much longer. We got played. Facts. Not feelings, these are facts. You now come out with ANOTHER parfum version in 2026???? For the love of God!!!! ( Chris Farleys voice), that smells absolutely nothing like the OG and wait for it, nothing like the other parfum version that came out before this newest one. Confused yet? Everybody is. Less flankers and more performance in the Original please. Everybody has said this from day one. Go back. And take the original that came out first of La Nuit and put a fixative in it that would just make it last longer like a parfum but of the Original Scent. Same EXACT notes, just add longevity. They did not and they gave us Bleu Electrique. Ok. Fair enough, but at this point, please. No more of this nonsense. This is just vietnam cluster f@%k claymore going off at this point. I don't care about this new one that just came out. I think the one before it smelled terrible like a spicy tick spray or a dog tick collar scent. Now this 2026 release? Garbage. Change the name. Call it ....La Nuit D' Apology.

I will be test wearing this in colder weather, just dropped by after a one-spray test and realized that most people commenting and voting till now have never smelled the fragrance. People always focus on note listings (which are just marketing and suggestions) like they are ingredient lists or recipes, like tobacco or amber are concentrated syrups or extracts. That's not how perfumery works AT ALL, and I don't care if the box itself has a "does not feature a cardamom note" sticker on it, this smells like a modernized LNDLH. It just has a vanillic amber base and that vague tonka thickness underneath. Oh no, there is no tonka in the notes? WHO CARES, it smells like a LNDLH meets SWY meets Code meets Le Male Le Parfum. Does this make it boring or redundant? Depends on your taste and size of your wardrobe. Does it smell bad? Absolutely not. Does it smell like a LNDL? YES, it does not stray as far from the LNDLH line as the reviews and comments will have you believing. Even ChatGPT confirms (with the ingredient list) that this has most of the chemicals used for a cardamom-like accord. They just created something similar with a red pepper nuance to it. I bet if it had both Red Pepper and Cardamom in the notes, someone would have made an "Is this a perfume or a spice rack?" comment. Go in blind and you'll enjoy it more than you think. I certainly did. No, I did not love it, but I have a large collection and more than enough spicy amberwoody scents. But, having overworn the original back in the day, I did not find this disgraceful or unfaithful, it is just remodeled for today, for the age group I was in when the series started.

Ok, unlike 95% of the previous reviewers, I have smelt this in person and am not basing my review on YouTube content. In fact, I recently bought a bottle while at Heathrow airport on my way abroad for a three week break in Boracay. Let’s start with the bleeding obvious (gleaned from the note breakdown) it smells nothing like the original or any of its flankers. To me, it’s has more in common with EA’s Stronger with you line up than it does YSL. In fact, I’ll go as far as saying that If you told be it was a new flanker of Stronger... I would have believed you. I rather like it personally - it’s a compliment-getting, well-rounded modern scent with great projection and longevity - but I can understand where the hate is coming from since it bears so little resemblance to its parents. And that is exactly where its biggest issue lies: people love the original and don’t feel they are being listened to when they say a stronger, longer lasting variant of that that is all that’s needed! Fareed Riiffs wouldn’t need to exist otherwise! YSL on the other hand has done its own research and knows the game has moved on and they need to modernise to keep up with it. Maybe it will go the other way and do a Coca Cola in the 80s and force YSL to abandon ‘new’ Coke and come back with a crowd-pleasing clone of the original, just with beast mode projection. I wouldn’t hold my breath though...

What happened to YSL? I have three things to say: 1.) Why not just bring back Bleu Electriqué (possibly even in an EDP concentration) and make everyone happy? 2.) The best La Nuit flanker that I've tried is PDM Eragon, and it's pretty sad that PDM made the best non-EDT La Nuit flanker in the last 10 years and it costs over $500. 3.) There are 5 different fragrances in the Myself line (4 of which, no one asked for), meanwhile they discontinued the most loved flankers from the La Nuit, l'Homme, and Y lines. I will try this eventually and I do have high hopes after seeing what their competitors have been releasing lately (especially Guerlain with l'Homme Idéal Parfum and Cologne Forté and Dolce and Gabbana The One Parfum).

I think Fragrantica should allow voting only two months after a perfume is released to the market, to ensure that idiots don’t give negative or positive votes before actually smelling the fragrance.

Why they decided to reformulate and discontinue the best one of the entire line instead of any other flanker is beyond me.. Bought a backup bottle of the 2019 version as soon as this popped out

Only note from the original is the bergamot... Interested in the reviews of this, curious to see how it compares. It might be a totally new fragrance.

I'm looking forward to this one, even if it seems to be coming out in transition of season where it looks like it might not be the most ideal to wear.

YSL need to do something with the La Nuit de L'Homme flankers names because it's hard to differentiate when they all have the same name.

Just your typical Sephora scent. Not a bad one, but it kinda smells like shampoo for kids. At least there are no unpleasant notes tho.
