La Nuit de l'Homme Frozen Cologne

Amazing amazing fragrance. It baffles me how close this is to the OG (pre-2013 formulation), without having many similar notes. It is the opening where they are different though. Frozen Cologne is, what the name suggest, much fresher than LNDL in the opening. However, after around 2 hours in, they are hard to distinguish. The biggest difference in this one is the geranium, which makes it more fresh and sparkly than LNDL. There is no cardamom listed, but you do get the cardamom vibe, which is very interesting. It might be the combination of black pepper and tonka bean. I cannot say this is an alternative for the vintage LNDL, but I do think it is much better than the sweet, mediocre performing 2015-2021 LNDL. Frozen Cologne still has the strong spices, that make any girl/woman drool. The performance is also great. It is just a bit less than my 2013 LNDL, which has 10+ hours longevity, with two to three hours strong projection and another three hours average projection. If you (are able to find and) cannot decide to pay €250+/60ml for a vintage bottle or €100/100ml Frozen Cologne. Get Frozen Cologne. You will get so much more value for your money. You will get a scent 80-90% similar to the vintage, but you will get the vintage spiciness, which beats the sweet scent of the newer formulations. If you want a MUCH cheaper alternative, within the sameball park as the older batches of LNDL, get Trussardi Riflesso. This is a cheap (low cost), high quality, less spicy/more warm, fragrance with very good performance. Scent: 9.5/10 Projection: 9/10 (First 2 hours strong, then 3 hours average) Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 (9h+ on skin) Versatility 8/10 (More versatile than the original) Uniqueness: 9/10 Total: 9 I am very lucky to have found a bottle, together with a bottle of the OG from a 2013 batch. I have had both bottles for around 3 years now and wore them two times each. I am too afraid to run out of these divine fragrances.

I am waiting in San Francisco International Airport right now, and one of the big shop carries it. I think the shop is called Gallery or something. The shop only carried 1 size, and they said they just recently put it on the shelf. It was either 60ml or 100ml. I am not sure because I didn't look at the label on the bottom. It is definitely bigger than 50ml, but the bottle is slightly smaller than other 100ml L'Homme bottles. I searched online, and I could only find 60ml being sold in UK. That's why I thought it could be a 60ml. They are selling it at the shop for $61 USD plus tax. (Rather cheap if it was 100ml) It smells really good, and it reminds me of a type of candy (not a bad thing IMO). The combination of pepper and citrus here is reallllllly good. (or it could be the flowers that I am smelling, not the citrus. I don't have an awesome nose, but I know it smells great) I have the original L'Homme and it is one of my favorite. I don't like the Libre or the La Nuit De L'homme, but I am pretty sure I will buy this one too. I was very close to getting it at the shop, but then I thought I could probably find one cheaper online. I cannot comment on the longevity or projection, since I only smelled it on a test strip. However, I took the strip with me over an hour ago, and it still smells the same. I think it is too elegant to wear it during the day, so I'd say this is a night fragrance. I don't know how good is the projection, so I can't say if it is good for summer or winter. As I think for winter fragrances, it requires a stronger projection to achieve the same effect. I have over 20 colonge. Scent wise, this is definitely my top 5. My other top choices are: D&G The one, YSL L'Homme, Dior Homme (EDP or EDT), L'Instant De Guerlain Pour Homme.

Seductive but fresh.. This is a fresh take on one of the most praised fragrances out there. I used to own a lndl 2013 batch and loved it for the performance and the blast of cardamom. Frozen cologne reminds me of this and even if they don't list cardamom the smell in the drydown is very close. It start very fresh and it has an icy effect, maybe from the geranium, but as we go to the drydown it becomes a 2013 version of the original. Performance is mind blowing for a cologne, 10+ hours longevity on my skin with very good projection. It performs way better than the current versions of the original and a bit better than the 2013 batch i owned (my frozen cologne is from 2012). It's more versatile than the original because of the fresh opening, it can be an office scent but it still has the sexy, seductive cardamom for dates. I will wear it all year round and it will survive the cold because it has this amazing performance. Overall, i am really impressed! I never encountered a cologne that performs that well, i like the fresh aspect, i find more interesting and complicated than the original. Unfortunately, this is discontinued and really hard to find but if you can still find it and you like lndl, give this a try!

The best flanker of La Nuit de l'Homme. Bleu Electrique isn't bad either, the others are rubbish that can't compete with the original. This is simply the freshest version of the nocturnal progenitor; as soon as you spray it, you can feel the magic that characterizes its historic DNA. It's good, really good. If you like La Nuit de l'Homme but want a coherent, fresher, and more casual version, I recommend getting this. The performance is average in terms of longevity and projection. It's a shame it's discontinued. Il miglior flanker de la nuit de l'homme per coerenza e utilità. È la versione più fresca dell' originale. Forget the ingrediants, forget the advertising, this fragrance takes time to corrctly unlock, about half an hour in truth, then magic prevails for several hours before a sanity returns that lasts twice as long again. This has to be the fragrance of a Time Lord, the initial aroma was heavy on the geranium and blasted me with the present, but once the scent began to unlock I felt as though i had been transferred to a distant past, a wooded mountainous space where spices, fruits, moss, and other natural delights might abound. Also noted was a distinct musky mark that I percieved as being the smell of primitive man, something that might usually put me off but here seated itself well. After several hours the fragrance returns to the present, with a soft fruity and vetiver aroma. Designing this for Summer is interesting, I would have thought that dark winter nights was far better, but I'm going to try it throughout.
